Vons unethical behavior

Dear Gentle Persons,

For the past 20 years I used a Von's Pharmacy until the location was closed 2 years ago. I transferred to a different Von's (Cedar and Sheppard in Fresno, CA, ) I have numerous medical conditions including, lymphangio metosis, born with a club foot with numerous corrective surgeries, 2 brain tumors removed in past 8 years, arthritis, serve peripheral neuropathy and more. I am on a low/moderate dose of pain medication and testosterone that allows me to continue to function. From the first day I started at the new pharmacy the staff challenged my medications. One in particular pharmacist, Ruth Ruffa, Lic#48884, openly and loudly discussed my medications in front of numerous customer clearly implying I was abusing the medication and then refused to fill the script. I am a licensed clinical psychologist, PSY#21474. As a 66 year old doctor, the number of former and current patients I have that live in the area are over a thousand. I am also an adjunct professor at the local college with a like number of former students. Any one of which could have over heard the conversation. This was an outrageous violation of confidentiality and I am serious considering filing a lawsuit against Von's. I will be glad to provide any of my medical documentation as well as specifics dates and times.

Vons placement of coin counter and gift card redemption machines

Sorry to complain but I don't like the placement of the coin counter and gift card redemption machines right at the end of the check out lines where everyone can stare at you while you go through your transaction. And fumble about with the complicate process.

I have gift cards and many coins to to redeem and count but I will not do it because of the placement of these machines under everyone's view.

Most uncomfortable. Its extremely embarrassing to me.

Vons vons torrance avenue torrance ca

I only go to this store because it is walking distance. I must say the store smells rotten. The refrigerated foods are not cold and usually go bad within a day. The customer service is non existent. You are not greeted and in the morning the carts and boxers fill the aisles andthe employees give you a look as if you are in their way. They act exasperated when asked a question if they carry a certain product and you practically have to take their hand to have them show you where something is. I have worked in customer service for 20 plus years and i am appalled that these workers ever got hired. I would love to be a cashier at a supermarket, but the store in Torrance is an embarrassment . Other stores in ther center are in agreement to the smell of the store and lack of customer service. You need to Re- train, let go and hire people who actually want and like to work with the public. Unfortunately this is storewide at any hour.

Vons late deliveries!

Talked with a "manager" Leslie, (sp). Explained that there is a city ordinance that doesn't allow deliveries in this city between 10 pm and 7am. Was promptly cut off, and hung up on, then would not answer the phone. Haven't been shopping here lately, even though it is directly behind our home. Have addressed this problem with other managers and it has been corrected immediately!

Vons deli

Was at your local deli Dept today for lunch, and noticed you had 8 piece of fried chicken on special: 2 breasts, 2 legs, 2 to thighs and 2 wings (just for you or whatever), so got it for the first time. Took out the first piece to eat, and could not identify it as any of the above. Have a picture and all original pieces and packaging, as I don't dare eat any of it - is this KFC of years ago, serving rat?!

I bought the same chicken and the smell was like rotten eggs. I never ate mine either through it at all away.. that smell is all over vons when they cook that chicken. I dont know if its the oil being dirty and not changed or the chicken...anyways its disgusting!

Vons the pharmacy

i had been filling my prescriptions at the Von's on Broadway in Downtown Long Beach, CA for a little over two years and they have always given me a very hard time about getting my prescriptions filled on a timely basis. The two pharmacist on staff are constantly delaying my medication always telling me their backed up or i have to return tomorrow for it, or even worse their understaffed and are backed up?
Constant excuses, finally after suffering with these constant headaches i finally decided to get my new medication filled at CVS in Target in Signal Hill, Ca. What a HUGE difference...they were extremely polite and helpful and had my prescription filled on the spot in 10-Minutes!
NEVER AGAIN will i return to VON'S for anything...

Vons my complaint is online shopping in long beach california

Please try several different time pretend as a customer's you are shopping online and try to get help from internet technical assistant to buy groceries online.

I hope they will treat you a lot better than they have treating me.

Maybe your company should take some examples from Amazon online customer service

I am almost shoes I'm not the only one who keeps complaining about yours online shopping customer service and Technical assistant it's terrible it's awful I spend hundreds of dollars every two weeks but I get terrible customer service I hope you will give me a call at [protected] thank you very much for your concern in advance I'm hoping I'll respond as soon as you can thank you again bye bye

Vons on line

wanted to try new delivery, then after 20 minutes of nonsense, (I know exactly what I want and you carry it) I remembered how much your website Sucks! Really Io minutes to find ice cream and it keeps shutting down you have to go through all ice creams instead of by name... unwieldy. And the Vons near my work has obnoxious customer service and out of stocks.
The victoria, telephone rd.
Will go to Winco where it is cheaper and despite being very crowded, faster.
Get your S#$@ together, it is a competitive market.

Vons service and giftcard service

Location: 20440 Devonshire St, Chatsworth, CA 91311

Good Morning,

I was at the above location this morning trying to buy bagels for $4.99 on my gift card that was printed out and had a remaining balance. The first person was unable to process the gift card, then the next lady(who was great) was unable to process it. During this time there were 3 other cashier around that were only able to state that their is no $ left on the card and there was nothing they could do. They made me feel like I was a criminal trying to steal and pull a fast one on them without trying to help at all. Not sure who the manager was or was doing, but the nice lady was on the phone with customer service to get it figured out. After about 45 minutes of her being on the phone with customer service, she was able to reissue the remaining balance to a new card, but now my item was missing. When the lady was upstairs on the phone faxing the gift card over multiple employees were touching and moving around my item. This was the worst experience I have had try to purchase any item in my life let along just a package of bagel. I can't believe your company would hire people that would make their customers feel like criminals. Congratulations on being the first company I have ever reviewed in my life as it would have been easier to steal the food then process a transaction at this store and be discriminated.

Vons food was moldy

I bought a lot of food tonight including a Dietz & Watson Roast Beef Slider. When I got home I opened it up and the cheese looked extremely moldy. I checked the expiration after seeing the problem and I had bought it an hour after the expiration. I don't think this happened in the last hour. There were more sandwiches there so I thought it was important to notify you of the situation. Your help line was closed so I left a message here. This was from the Vons on Mira Mesa and Camino Ruiz.

Vons bad driver

Live in Las Vegas, Nv. Tonight I was driving south on the 95 freeway at 8:50 pm and this von delivery man was driving so wreckless. I was driving with My two kids in the car and at me so fast and started tailgating me . We were both exiting the freeway at Rancho and he cut me off and started driving down a street which is a 35 mph road at least 55 mph . He was turning so fast around cars it looked like his big truck was going to tip over. I have never took to the time on my life to report someone's driving but this person is going to get in a big accident. I own a ice cream distribution company in Las Vegas and if any of my drivers would drive like this man they would be fired. The license plate of the van is 703YLE.

Vons my service animal

Hello, I came to the Vons that's located on 4001 Inglewood ave, redondo Beach Ca 90278 to buy groceries and I brought my support/service animal, I am currently 7 months pregnant and it's difficult for me to push the cart, get groceries and have my dog on a leash all at the same time, so I decided to put my dog inside the cart to make it easier for me, my dog is well behaved and was sitting inside the cart the entire time. I was finally leaving the store and I was about 5 feet away from the exit when the manager told me that I couldn't have my dog in the cart and that there have been complains, I told her that I was already leaving and that he's a support/service animal. She kept talking and she MADE me take him down from the cart even though I was already leaving and was extremeley rude about it. I think the worse part about this is that she made me carry my dog out of the cart while I'm 7 months pregnant and I shouldn't be carrying a lot of weight. I was very upset and the cashier that had rang me up followed me to my car and was apologizing for how her manager acted and she felt really bad since I was already leaving the store. If my husband was with me he would have had a lot more to say but I had a really bad experience and I am very upset about it. I didn't get the names of the manager or the cashier.

Vons foster farms chicken -

I was in the Vons on Wilshire and 14th street in Santa Monica today and purchased a pre cooked chicken package by Foster Farms on 10/2/18. After I had left, I started to eat the chicken and it tasted sour and spoiled and I felt nauseous after eating it. As I looked on the package for the expiration date it expired on 9/8/18! This is over 3 weeks expired chicken and could cause someone to get extremely sick! I am very upset to find that this location is not doing its due diligence to ensure the safety of their customers, especially when food is involved! I normally wouldn't be upset if it were a day or two expired but over 3 weeks is just ridiculous and should never happen, especially with meat like chicken. Who knows how many more food items are expired in the store and customers are getting sick without even knowing what their consuming. Very unprofessional.

Vons food services health code violation

The Canyon Country store, located on Soledad Canyon and Sand Canyon has a Service Deli employee who continues to violate food services health regulations. The workers name is Mateo and is frequently seen chewing gum with his mouth wide open. On Saturday, he was seen cutting meat and preparing food without a beard catcher. When questioned, he said that the store had run out of beard catchers.

I went to the meat department and was informed by the on duty butcher that they had plenty of beard catchers at the store. I reported this to matter to Tom, store supervisor.

Mateo constantly displays rude behavior towards customers, violates food health regulations and his outward lie about not having beard catchers was simply a flagrant rude and dishonest attitude.

Vons service

At 7:00 pm I went to vons on PCH in Torrance with only $8 in my account and need to get cash back from buying a small item so that I can give my friends son exactly $6 cash for his lunch money the next day. The cashier who was the manager Joseph S. rung me up and it didn't process a cash back when I enetered it with the cash back amount and PIN number . He said it didn't state cash back so for me to buy something else. I said I don't have enough and needed that exact amount cash back. I said can you please refund it back because I need to ring it up as cash back . He yelled at me and said "what?!" I repeated it and then he rolled his eyes and processed it but I specifically told him to put it back as cash because I bought it as debit. Instead of giving me cash or putting it as debit refund, he refunded it as a visa credit which now will take 2 days for it to go back. I asked him why he did that and he just ignored me and shrugged his shoulders. He blatantly disrespected me and had no care for how even $1.25 refund can change someone's life . He was extremely rude and didn't even apologize or refund for his mistake . I never felt so dismissed and small . His actions were unacceptable and just because it was $1.25 doesn't mean that he had to treat me that way. For some, $1.25 is a lot of money. It was someone's lunch money . I was this incident not to be ignored because I wasn't getting paid till a couple days later and I needed all the money I had in my account at that moment and who was he to dictate that it was so small and nothing to him? My name is Grace Lee [protected] and I require justice for his actions. A simple apology would've don't it but he shrugged his shoulders and rolled his eyes. Not acceptable for a manager.

Vons driver unprofessional suspect stealing

The Driver lied to me 3x times about what groceries he had. Then he finally "found" when he realized I was angry. This is his second visit to my home, and I whole-heartedly believe he did steal my groceries the first time. Both visits he came 3 hours early without proper identification and rushed through as to leave quickly so I did not take note of his scam. He never checked my ID for alcohol and also tried pushing substitution items when my order states absolutely no substitutions. Vons customer service

My boyfriend visited the Vons loccated at: 5688 Telephone Rd, Ventura, CA 93003 tonight. I am highly disappointed in the behavior of the cashier and bagger. He purchased some preparation H ointment which is commonly used for embarrassing reasons. While at the register, the cashier was rude and would not speak or respond to him asking her how her night was or if he could have a bag. When he was ready to leave, he noticed that they had left the ointment out. He had to reach into the area where the groceries collect for the bagger, and bag it himself. The cashiers head was down, and she began laughing with the bagger. He was very embarrassed. He is more passive than I, and chose not to complain. But if i were there, id be asking for a manager to sign these women up for sensitivity training. We have several grocery stores near us, and if this is the level of professionalism that this company has to offer, we will take our business somewhere else. Please train your employees to be completely unbiased, and have no opinion toward customer purchases.

Okay the prices aren't great, the website and coupons blow, and every time I go to Vons Victoria and Telephone the rudeness and out of stock is appalling.I am a nice young senior?
But i keep getting delivery coupons, so its a busy week, i thought I'd try. Fix the f@#king website or use flipp before you push delivery! 15 minutes to get ice cream when you know exactly what you want and that you carry it.

Vons refunding

I went to vons so I could get cash back but I had only put around $41 in my checking account and when I bought gum so I can get cash back I didn't have enough money on my card to get the cashback of 40 dollars, so I asked to return it and she charged me for another one on accident, and the lady at the neighboring register knew how to do it correctly and she didn't even try to help me get my money back, I didn't even keep any of the gum I bought the employee never mentioned anything.

Vons not allowed to use bathroom

We have been Vons customers for years, Today, September 24, 2018, we were shopping in the Vons store in Imperial Beach. I am in my mid 70's and needed to go to the bathroom. Having shopped there many times i knew that I needed a code to access the facility. A very helpful clerk gave us the code but it did not work. I again ask her about it and she said she would talk to the management. Upon her return she indicated that management had decided to close both rest rooms because they had had vandalism in the past. She seemed embarrassed to tell us this. We had to leave immediately t find another bathroom.

As having been a manager in a complex organization in the past, I am clearly aware that when you have a problem then a solution must be found. Management chose the easiest yet wrong solution. I can be reached at [protected]
