Their motto is: Quality-Honesty-Integrity. We found that they were extremely lacking in these three areas. In March of 2007 we wanted a leaky flat roof fixed and a new deck installed over that flat roof. Over 11 thousand dollars and 8 months later, we wish that I had never heard of Volpe Enterprises. Everything they did was so sloppy that we had to have them do much of it over again. A job that they said would take a couple weeks actually put us through hell for 8 long months. They even scratched up our new deck through 13 boards and had we seen the long scratch, they would have never been paid. Once we told them about the scratch, they had no interest in looking at it and even tried to blame it on us, saying it was our furniture or washing. We had no furniture on the roof at the time and didn't wash the deck. Who needs to wash a new deck. Then the roof started leaking again. They found that their so-called "carpenter" put a nail through the subsurface causing the leak and more damage to our bedroom ceiling. So much for "Quality". When they re-fixed the leak, they scratched even more boards. We had a tough time getting them to replace those boards. They also don't know what they're doing with electricity. The same "professional" who did the deck didn't know how to assemble an outside light fixture into the deck wall. I had to show him. Then he couldn't get the light switches to work. They had to call out some experts. All I know is that the old lights up on the roof were working before they started. As for honesty, the same worker lied about a tear he caused in a sliding door screen. My wife heard him react to the tear and then later he told his boss that he didn't know how that happened and blamed it on his helper who was elsewhere at the time. They gave us a bad gate, walls that are loose and don't seam correctly, bad cuts in wood that are covered in caulking to hide the gaps. I don't know why we paid them. We just wanted to get rid of them I guess and fix the bad spots ourselves. Then on top of all this, they didn't want to leave the old boards that were scratched and full of screw holes. We could have used them for small jobs around the house. They said they had a "Project" for them. When the president called my wife and demanded the boards, I got so mad at work that I called him and cursed him up and down. A week later, I compromised with him and we split the boards up. Then I find out the same day that he called my boss about the call I made from work to have me fired. They seemed nice early on at the time of the estimate but you never know who's going to do the actual work. I will never trust a contractor again because of these clowns. The BBB was of no help, just a middleman for letters back and forth. Please stay clear of Gary Volpe and Volpe Enterprises!

Volpe enterprises is the absolute worst and most unprofessional outfit I have ever seen. I worked there for one day...and I left. They treat their employees like crap, they want you to pay them to wear clothing with their company logo on them. They want you to pay for your own roofing harness, they make you rent your uniform pants and pay if they get dirty. Oh and they also make the employee pay for their drug screening...I have never ever worked for such a cheap and shoddy company ever...glad I decided to open my own company do not work or hire these people ever.
Dave T I'm so sorry you were taken by this company. To pay that much money and have the work be so bad and the owner of the company so unprofessional. To be honest I was just doing a little research to see what the computing is like because we are a very small home remodeling company. Just my husband our son and me. I was a little envious of a big company like Volpe, but not any more. I'm glad we do the work ourselves and treat our customers like they're friends. I know a lot of people are impressed by the large company image, but they are usually only driven by the money they can make with no concern for the product they're selling.
Yes, I had some dealings with Volpe. Luckily I had the opportunity to cancel the contract, so I took that opportunity. There were red flags the whole time I dealt with them and after complaining over and over I finally got them to write a new more simplified contract with what we wanted in it (finally)...However, there were still errors and omissions, so I saw that I could get out of it and didn't hesitate. I got the bulk of my money back except for $270 which I am still attempting to recover, and will complain through all available channels. I find these guys to be unprofessional, liars and have no doubt they would've done a poor job on my house which always has had real craftsmen work done. BTW, no one EVER leaves a response that counters a complaint (sticks up for the company) unless that person is a friend of the company, or was paid. Would you? How would someone even know where the complaint is? The company would know though...Thank GOD I didn't use VOLPE

I feel your pain i wish that i did my investigation before I hired these CLOWNS as you call them. They treat the employees like crap and do not follow up. Then say it has done everything according to contract. TELL everyone not to use these self serving jerks.
So there is posted one negative review and one positive review of the company. I am not saying that there weren't problems with your particular job, but if the company was as bad as you allege, then I would expect to find many more negative reviews of the company which I cannot seem to find. And yes, people do also post on line positive experiences about companies. If a company does good work for me, then I go out of my way to pay them compliments. I think there is a lot more to this story than you are telling. If there is a problem with a job, most companies go out of their way to try and resolve the problem. And no I have no connection to volpe enterprises.

I stand behind my complaint and photos. So Donna and John, really...you disagree? You disagree with my experience? No, you had a different experience than I did with these clowns. But let me tell you how I see it because your comment reeks of falsehood and deception. If you had a good experience with these idiots, why would you go to "Complaints Board". You had to either be directed to my complaint to counter it by the company or owners, or you're not really Donna and John, you're the owners themselves, and that's my take on your comment. Did you decide one day to find a hidden complaint on the web and disagree with it all by yourselves? I doubt it very much! Who goes out of their way to give a company a good review? And if you did, you wouldn't go to "Complaints Board". So I rest my case and I suspect you're not really Donna and John at all, you're probably Gary and Janet, the owners of this dismal outfit. If you are Donna and John, did they pay you to do this? It all seems pretty fishy to me if you catch my drift. But either way, thanks for the comment, it just makes me more determined to get the truth out about this sleezeball and his band of misfits. You don't acquire venom like this for nothing. I will enjoy spending the rest of my days getting the truth out and warning people about their horrible work. Again, please look at the photos. I will be adding more soon as their "so-called" work has fallen apart so rapidly over the years. Had they used the proper materials, the trim wouldn't have cracked and broken off. The composite wood I wanted has rotted so they used real wood instead. And again, they blamed me for the long scratch through the deck. That was the big turning point and why I'm doing what I can. So don't trust your house to Gory Vole-pee Antiprises. Vole-pee Antiprises will never be my contractor!
I totally disagree I have had volpe do various projects around my house . They have always been proffesional and got the job done in alotteed time. they have several people who even check the job as it was completed. I dont think I would ever use another contractor. I had many nightmares before we hired volpe and i would never trust any small company again.
