Vodacom connection data and status

I left the country a few months back and came back after 4 months and realized they cut off all my services which is on my part my fault. Then I wanted to correct it and was told I was handed over to their legal department.

I made payment immediately and phoned legal like 4 times and they assured me they will reset everything and it will take two hours.

Then another week went by and I kept on phoning and then was told they will phone me back and that all status will be restored, data and phone call and I gave them my new debit order details.

Then I told them I am again leaving for India for 3 weeks - and they have not restored my phone status. I cannot make phone calls yet and and have not data access - The only thing they did was to restore my call identity. I was then told by the operator that the previous guy lied to me they cannot restore all my functions on my phone and I must phone legal again but they are not open on a saturday. I told the operator but I will be leaving for India and would like at at least someone to give me roaming access so that I can feel safer. He then said he cannot do that but I must phone from my phone (which is totally another lie) when in reach India and just add + 91 in front of the Vodacom call centre number.

I arrived on Delhi airport thinking I can phone Vodacom call centre via the +91 number. I never felt so betrayed and lost. Vodacom is a big scam and their call centre guys trained to just tell you anything to get you off the phone..

If they cut me off completely and could not set my roaming - I was not able to make a phone call to vodacom call centre in that time. I was left stranded on the airport and for the whole 3 weeks could at least communicate in hotels via wifi.

I am still not fully restored after I made payment and will have to make another few calls to legal and call centre after call centre.

my number is [protected]

Hopefully my time spending typing this complaint will actually make a difference and somebody contact me and find a solution.

Annelle de Villiers

Vodacom Wifi contract

Good day.

As a loyal customer of over twenty years with vodacom, I was shocked and extremely disgusted with the service after finding out about my wifi contract cost!
I have a wifi contract which is supposed to be r399 per month, but to my surprise today I discovered that I paid r1108 just for last month (not even checked the other months!).
Upon request, it was mentioned that it is an open line (something they should've told you sir...) was the only answer I got.
You can be rest assured that I will take aaalllll my current cell phones and data contracts elsewhere when they expire as this is totally unexceptable.

Vodacom vodacom vosloorus failed to assist me smoothly/action on my lost phone

I once ordered a Hawaii Y3 on contract and signed for it on the order form it was in October 2017. Therefor upon delivering date as per agreement I got a call from Vodacom Vosloorus Shop spoke to a lady. She advised that Hawaii Y3 is not on stock but will order it for me and within 2days I will get my package. Got another call from her that she mistakenly ordered a Nokia N3 instead and I agreed on that as well even thou it was more expensive than the Y3. She also advised that I sign up for insurance

A guy called Tshepo delivered the phone for me on the 30th of October 2017 all documents was present and I signed including insurance option.
On the 11th November 2018 I forgot my phone in a taxi from work, never found it from there. I reported the incident at Vodacom for blacklisting and got ITC number used it to report my phone at my nearest police station.

As I tried to claim from the Vodacom insurance I was told am not activated on their system. I called the Vodacom Vosloorus Shop explained to them and responded that someone will be sent to me again in-terms of paper work to sign afresh. No one was sent I kept calling and calling days and weeks not getting a speedy assistance. One day I called again and was told to come to the Vodacom Vosloorus Shop to be assisted as my dates on the contract form were not matching. I went to Vodacom Vosloorus Shop on the 24th of March 2018 I then explained again the guy who assisted me with a claim form told me I shouldn't have came to Vosloorus but could have went to my nearest Shop.

He advised that I will get a call from Vodacom claims but nothing till now. On the other hand I think of the past 4months passed by without getting help. Please help and investigate all this cause am still paying for my lost contract phone.

Vodacom mobile handset

My no. is [protected] My name is Chimanlal Ramduth I am a Vodacom cust. over 25years. In Jan. 2018 I upgraded from a G4 to a V30. Ever since the sim swap the phone never worked. No calls were coming, could not hear calls, could not make calls, messaging faulty, receiving messages 2 to 3 hours late, some times the next day. Have been to Gateway Vodacom over ten times to correct the situation. More than 14 hours spent not counting my travelling expenses. The tech department found every fault including the sim card, the network, intermittent faults whatever that means. On many occasions I told the technicians it is the phone itself. Finally at my request I asked to use my old handset. Ever since I have no problems, no network problems, no message problems. My V30 was sent for evaluation and repairs. Today is 17 days and I have not been contacted yet. I am disappointed, frustrated after being a loyal vodacom customer. What do I do, where do I go, who do I speak to, please dont send me to another department for I have tried many already. please give me a new handset. I have spoken to diferent and I personally think that Vodacom must provide us with an iterim phone while they are fixing factory faults or bad customer care or bad technicians. I am currently paying for something that I do not have religiously every month. Rev. C. Ramduth Have a good day / night. Hope with much doubt to hear from you soon, with serious doubtful anticipation. enjoy

Vodacom unethical behaviour

Vodacom cellular provider cancelled a telephone contract without informing the client thereof and put the client back on a lower package without the clients consent, this is unacceptable. The data & sms bundles were also lost when the client upgraded his cellphone contract with Vodacom end of February 2018. Since then the has been calls logged to Vodacom's customer care line, without any feedback from Vodacom.
The client want to the stolen data and sms's to be credited back onto his account, and he wants the package back that they were promised and signed paperwork for. This is a breach of contract on Vodacom's side which they will need to rectify immediately as I am sure it affects thousands of customers.
The client can be contacted on [protected].

Vodacom you are handing out my mobile number to all and sundry - stop it otherwise face legal action!

Oudtshoorn, 22nd March 2018

Vodacom South Africa

Please desist from making my mobile number available to the advertising fraternity who believe its OK to abuse my rights to privacy and the security at all hours of the day with their mindless sales pitches on my contract number with your Company.

YOU DO NOT HAVE MY PERMISSION!

It is an outrage that even with the POPI Laws soon to be promulgated, that this invasive practice of unsolicited crap and computer voice calls, sms's and the like bombard me and I am sure your other clients who have not given you or your other "mass-marketers" permission to do.

Is their any way these spam calls and sms's etc can be blocked from your side on my number or should I go elsewhere for my mobile service?

Please advise in writing to [protected]@gmail.com

PS Please ask your corporate staff to stop hiding - every Vodacom number goes back to your annoying customer service loop after an interminable wait and then they know nothing!

Thank you

Vodacom insurance claim

M cell number is [protected]
I submitted a claim for my broken Nokia cell phone insured for R10000 with Cellsure.
My insurance was cancelled without my permision nor even notification. For my claim to be considered i had to pay R902. The claim was approved for R7500 instead of R10000.
I asked the permision to use that R7500 in my account to buy a Lenovo Laptop marketed by Vodashop for R10700 and to it up with a payment of R3200. The reasom why is because my son has given me his Samsum Note 8 after upgrading his phone and my laptop is broken.

I need your intervention in this regard: That i be allowed to use the credit of R7500 from my insurance to but the new Leptop from Vodashop.

Vodacom poor customer service at vodashop with sales assistant

I Entered the Vodashop at the Weskus Mall in Vredenburg on Sunday the 18 of March at about 15:20, after obtaining my service ticket number I was called by the assistant. Upon getting to her she did not greet, or ask whether she could be of help to me, she replied in a harsh tone "What is your problem" i was pretty taken back by her behavior and was shocked in the manner of her approach. I then said to her that I am the customer here and that she is carrying out a service to me, she then replied to me in an arrogant manner that she is sick, she then handed over all her admin work to a young lady by the name of Chane who carried out her duties in a professional and efficient way, we then observed while she assisted other customers in a smiling and chatty manner. This person had the name of Christelle on her semi hidden nametag. This entire incident has left me in dismay at the service of Vodacom after being a loyal customer for over 20 years, and request that this matter be investigated and resolved as this tarnishes the image of a world leading service provider by certain individuals who require to be schooled in customer service and being able to be consistant in their daily function when dealing with the public.

Vodacom fraudulent upgrade and fraudulent new contract

Somebody fraudulently upgraded my sate conteact and then took out a new contract at Makro in Crown Mines. This was 2 months ago. Up to now, Vodacom has done nothing. My account is over R2000 in arrears. I have contacted their client services department but they are clueless, even though I have submitted the documents they requested. I am running around trying to resolve the issue.

Vodacom poor service

I entered into a contract with Vodacom around September 2016 and the contract was supposed to run until the end of September 2018. My challenge is with the number that they gave me when getting a contract. The number [protected]) was recycled. The contacts of the previous owner kept on bothering me of his/her whereabouts. I had to deal also with messages everyday that were his/hers. I went to lodge a complaint to Vodacom last year around September and they promised to block the previous owners' contact which I hope they did even though they did not provide me with feedback. I assumed they did because the contacts of the previous owner where now calling with different numbers looking for him/her. Its a he, oh yes, he was apparently a business man, so you would imagine me dealing with his contacts. It was a tedious exercise for me. So the numbers kept on coming even after contacting Vodacom about the matter until last year, December 19, 2017 where I heard enough of this problem. I wanted to give my friend my new number [protected]), he was with me at that time. He gave me his and I just buzzed him and said you will save the number. What then surprised me and anger me, was seeing the name of the previous owner appearing on the screen of my friend's phone. That was when I now decided that I should call it a day with Vodacom. I have been to Matlosana Mall Vodacom outlet many a times regarding the matter, but it is still unresolved. They are having all the ref numbers for all complaints lodged as well as the letter of the cancellation. I recalled a payment for December 2017 and to me I do not owe Vodacom anything and it is Vodacom that in fact owes me. I stopped using the number last year December 19, 2017.
