VitalChek Network Getting a birth certificate

Ordered a pa birth certificate, to receive by usps, (I live in tn) but never received... Got email saying I would receive in 3-7 business days. Called company and all they could say was oh well, I should have paid an extra $28
To have it insured, but I can order it again, and pay again with the additional $28.. I have no proof they did anything to get my birth certificate accept take my money... Funny I never have any problems getting any of my mail but somehow this one item was lost in the mail... What a scam, and the worst part is this is the company I was told was the "only company recommended" at the passport office! They gave me the name and number!

Ordered birth cert for grandson in NM. all is fine, checked on certificate for grandaughter in Az. and they took $11.00 out of my account when i did not purchase a certificate, get your cert.from your state vital records not thru vitalcheck they cannot be trusted! They are going to take your money even for information not to be trusted, please take my advise,

VitalChek Network Birth certificate

This company is a joke. I ordered a birth certificate online because I was without a car and needed to obtain the record to get a passport. The website is very vague and does NOT clearly state what their charges and processes are.  So I started the order process and paid about $60 for a birth certificate. A couple days go by, and I get an Email follow up saying I have to print out, sign, and mail in some form. I thought this was supposed to be convenient. Well I didn't have a printer. I tried to find a number to call customer service to ask if there were other options, and found out they don't have do customer service over the phone. You have to Email them. So I Emailed them, and by the time they wrote back, another 5 or 6 days had gone by. Bottom line, there's no alternate way to continue the process. They will require you to print, sign and mail in an extra form. AND included with that form needs to be MORE money, which was not on the website. So in addition to the $60 already spent, they want another $20. Since we were still in the ordering stage, and an actual certificate had not been generated yet, I asked them to cancel the order and refund my money. They refused, and the customer service agent was quite rude about it.

Too expensive, dishonest, shady, crappy attitude and bad business practices. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY.

VitalChek Network Marriage certificate.

Twice I sent this company the ID they required by regular mail. They claim to not have recieved it. Sent it by fax. . .they claim to not have recieved it. Sent twice by verified fax. . .they say they can't read it.

The could however charge my credit card.

I have been trying to get a copy of my marriage license lost in hurricane Andrew... since Oct/Nov.

VitalChek Network Misled me into placing an order they couldn't fill, won't reimburse

My great-grandfather died in the 1960s in Puerto Rico and PR's rules for who can order a death certificate is that you need to either be immediate family (uh, they're kind-of all dead now), an "heir, " or otherwise have a documented legal right, such as presenting a will or some such thing. To reiterate, these are PR's rules, not VitalChek's.

I called customer service before placing the order to see if I count as an "heir" to my great-grandfather. He's my great-grandfather. The woman said yes, definitely. Great!

I placed the order, and it turns out that I do not count as an "heir" and they can't fill the order, and guess what--they won't reimburse the $9 fee. I agreed to the terms and conditions, they say.

You have got to be KIDDING me. I don't believe that the customer service rep intentionally misled me, I assume that she had her own misunderstanding. It happens. So just refund the fee which your rep should not have led me to submit an order for to begin with.

This is outrageous. (I know it's only nine dollars, but it's the principle of the thing, what is this nonsense?)

VitalChek Network Attempts to buy birth cert

I agreed to pay Vitalchek 50 something dollars for my son's B certificate. The next day (8/17/18) $124.95 was withdrawn from my account. The two phone numbers attached to the "transaction" just went to answering machines. My bank managers boss traced both these numbers to Vitalchek. My bank disputed these charges and applied the $124.95 to my account. I thought that was the end of the matter. Vitalchek denied knowing anything at the time. Yesterday my bank withdrew a disputed amount of $71.95 over the investigation. The balance ($53.00) was the original charge for the cert, which I never bought or recieved. Thanks for any help.

VitalChek Network Death cert

My Live in Boyfriend of 7 years passed away on 9/15/2018. I tried calling to cancel his Automatic Deposit Pension Benefits from going into our joint checking account and was told I would need to provide a Death Certificate. Oct 2 I called Washoe County at [protected] as he passed away in Reno and they told me to contact Vital Check as they are all being processed through Vitalchek. Vital check has taken the fees and canceled the order they say because they did not receive my id which I submitted several times.

VitalChek Network Not receiving birth certificate

Ordered a birth certificate and haven't received it and it's been 3 months. According to them it was shipped out on the 16th but on the 17th when I called they said the case has been closed out. Vitalchek is nothing more that a fake, greedy, scam! They had no problem taking out the 80 something dollars though. How is there not a federal lawsuit against them?!

VitalChek Network Marriage certificate

I ordered 4 copies of my birth certificate. I received a receipt from the company verifying that fact. Upon shipment, I am told that I ordered only one copy. Now I am supposed to order the other three copies and pay for shipment and service fees again.? Absolutely not acceptable. I should receive what I ordered, for the price I was quoted.

VitalChek Network Birth certificate order scam

I recently adopted two children from foster care and needed to receive new birth certificates for them in order to enroll them in health insurance. I paid for the expedited service at $70 through this company and my birth certificates came back from the State of VA incorrect. I called vital check and was told it's the States issue and there's no refund policy when you are not able to get your certificates in the expedited fashion you paid for. I was told by the State that it is going to take 4 to 6 weeks to have the corrected certificates returned. I don't know what the contract that the State has with this company but it seems very disjointed and is taking advantage of families need for their members certificates.

VitalChek Network Payment not received birth certificate.

I have called and been waited for long periods of time, and get no answer to my question. I call and if I do get someone, they give me another number and right now I have been on hold for over a hour. Check the website with you order number and pin, I do and says the same thing it said two weeks ago. Today I was told to call [protected] for the tracing on my order. I have been on hold 1 hour and 6 minutes. Over a month and a half, and I have nothing, not even an explanation.

VitalChek Network Death certificates

I paid on July 3 ..$235 dollars and uploaded the required ID documents. On the 10th they emailed me and said they needed my ID and I should fax it. (No one faxes anymore) I uploaded the documents again.
I called the number [protected] and was on hold for 30 minutes and then was cut off. I tried calling back numerous times and as soon as I put in my order number it would disconnect me. I then went to this complaint site and called another number and I hear the same recording. "we ill assist you shortly, due to high call volume, you may experience extreme wait times"
After reading these other complaints...how is this company associated with so many state web sites...I shouldn't have to wait for weeks for a death certificate. And if its the managements practice of simply sending out emails for more documentation to buy more time and run an automated phone answer system that will disconnect you to again but more time, then they need to get their act together because I'm sure an investigation would result in fraud for deceptive practices.

VitalChek Network Death certificate request

order # [protected] requesting a death certificate was placed on 6/14/17 it is now 6/30/17 and I still haven't received my documents. I have called the customer service for vitalchek and was directed to call the state in which I did and they told be to call the city and when I did I was re-directed to call vital chek again. 5 phone calls later I spoke with a supervisor who said that I would get a follow up call within 24hrs and a refund of my expedited and processing fee. I got the refund but no call. I sent a email 6/27 and Just received a response today 6/30/17 stating that I needed to place a new order?!? I cannot believe how deplorable the customer service has been not to mention the audacity to tell me to repay when I have still paid $62 dollars for my documents. VitalChek Network Birth certificate

order # [protected] filed on 6/9/2017-6/30/2017.
We filed for my daughters Birth Certificate, and since then we have gotten a request for the ID twice and a signature, both times I sent my Oklahoma Drivers Licence front and back with a signature, then they asked for the mothers maiden name which I had already put on the application. Then I get another email telling me the ID was to light, so I send it again with the mothers maiden name again on 6/29/2017.
On 6/30/2017 I get a email telling me they was canceling my order because my ID, telling me I needed a legible Government ID or Drivers Licence. What the hell, I sent a Oklahoma DL a total of three times, none of was legible?

VitalChek Network Marriage certificate

I placed an online order on April 23 2017 for a copy of my marriage certificate.
Never received! It's been 2 months I was charged USD 73.00!
I need a refund or the document I placed the order for!
I have received an email confirmation order and a day later another email to confirm some information and I never received an update or the document I placed the order for.

VitalChek Network Birth certificate copy

June 4, 2017 still had not received certificate
June 4, 2017 entered email request / got incident # 170604 - [protected]
(carlos v). autofeedback requesting details, which we sent
June 10th in reply email, with requested info.
Note: vitalchek cutoff the online followup capability after 45 days - so one must call (35 min on hold).
June 25th another followup msg.
June 26th called / on hold plus very slow processing took 1 hour! and vitalchek wants to bill $18 for ups delivery but we must wait for yet another phone call, greatly inconveniencing us. / steve opolka got assistance from bob buhl, president of st. andrews lutheran church, phone [protected] / [protected]@gmail.com

VitalChek Network Order of marriage certificate

Today on 06/20/17 I ordered by error through vitalchek.com a Louisiana marriage certificate which is under a family member but I paid for it with my card. On the website it is poorly advertised on how to cancel when an error is done. I waited on the phone more than 26 minutes in order to get told that I can't cancel it. The website does not have any options to fix this problem and it is done like this purposely in order for them to take your money. This is a scam and inappropriate. Other sites always have ways to cancel when an error has occurred. Why can this company be allowed to continue to do this with all of these complaints?

VitalChek Network Took credit card info, charged account

I should have read the scam report, but was in a hurry. They take info., assure you everything is correct, then after taking credit card info, ask for documentation (which I could not provide as I have no FAX machine). BUT they charge your card anyway, according to them for processing what?
Stay AWAY from these people, they are fraudulent!

VitalChek Network Arkansas birth certificate

Order date: 4-18-17

Sent off for my Arkansas birth certificate with these guys on 4/18/17. At the time I applied for it, VitalChek said it would be up to 18 working days until the order was processed. About two days after the 18 day period was up, I received an email from them saying that the Arkansas Vital Records Dept. was experiencing "unexpected increase in requests" and that they were working hard to catch up on their orders.

Well, that was on May 19th of this year. So here I sit waiting. Today I found this web site with all the complaints concerning VitalChek...needless to say I feel like a dolt for using these guys. So tomorrow I will contact my bank about getting my money back due to fraud. And after that it will be on to the BBB to file a complaint. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS.

Don't say you haven't been warned.

6/8/2017 After multiple calls and countless minutes on hold, we finally got hold of someone who appeared to take the ball and run with it. suddenly, a couple of days ago they sent me a shipping alert and tracking number for my birth certificate. Needless to say I was skeptical. But today my birth certificate actually arrived via UPS. At this point I'm not sure which entity was the problem...Vitalchek or the Arkansas Records Dept... but I guess the important part is that I finally received what I paid for almost two months ago. I wish to amend the last line of my review from " DO NOT USE THESE GUYS" to "Use the guys at your own risk". Even though my own personal experience finally got resolved, next time I'll take my chances with going directly to the source (the state's records department).

I ordered my sons birth certificate 4-16-17 and received the same email on 5-19-17. I still have not yet received the birth certificate. I am currently on the phone and hope to get this resolved. ASAP

The problem is with Arkansas Records not Vitalchek. So instead of waiting online forever with vitalchek cal [protected]. For anyone else that runs into the same issue.
