Visionworks of America glasses

Bought glasses last July. Was told my eyes got better and they changed my prescription. They were not as clear as my last prescription. Went back to ask if I could get my old prescription lens put in my glasses due to headaches all the time. Was told I have to pay for another exam and the new lenses. My lenses are under warranty until July. Poor customer service! This is BS that I have to pay all over again when my lenses are in warranty. I paid 4 different doctors for exams and tests because I get headaches all the time. I will never go back again if they don't make this right. I have been buying glasses from them for 25 years!

Visionworks of America lincoln highway, lancaster, pa store

Visionworks in Lancaster, PA, is the most unprofessional company that I have ever dealt with. I had an eye appointment scheduled three weeks ago for today. I get there 15 minutes early. I get checked in, I am brought back for the 1st two tests, and then am told to go pick out my glasses and leave them in a tray. I get done, and go sit down to wait for the doctor, who then comes out and calls in the woman who had just checked in. I tell him that I am next, and he says, "oh go talk to (whatever her name was). She then tells me that they tried to call me several times to tell me that my appt. was rescheduled. I never got a call or even a message, yet she insists they called several times. Even if they did and I never heard it, they can't leave a message? I also got an email reminder about TODAY'S appointment. So apparently they also knew my e-mail and could not have let me know that way? Instead I get a reminder yesterday about today's appointment?

Visionworks Appointment Reminder
APPOINTMENT INFORMATION
Patient: DELORES KELLEY
Date: 4/30/2018 2:00 PM reschedule
Address: 2350 Lincoln Hwy E, Ste 890

They seriously could not have told me as soon as I walked in that it had been rescheduled?
I will never go to this place ever again, and I will be sure that everyone that I know hears what happened to me today. Nothing like wasting all that time and gas...thanks for nothing visionworks!

Visionworks of America incorrect lenses on one pair and wrong frame size on the second pair.

On 12/22/2017 I went to the Hadley MA Visionworks store for an eye exam and frame/lens purchase as well my daughter. After approx. a week and a half later our frames are ready. My daughter is unable to wear her new glasses due to getting head aches while wearing them. I was unable to wear mine as well due the frames pinching my temples causing head aches. So back we go and they attempt to adjust my frames. After several attempts they are handed back to me and now are bending outwards from the nose bridge area making the lenses very distorted and still a very tight fit. My daughters lenses were checked and told they skipped a step while making the lens and need to be returned. I then asked another associate to check my frame/lens and was told both pairs should not have left the store due to the issues. So I pick out a correct size frame and here we wait 1/18/2017 and still no glasses. Another very unprofessional tactic was having the associate try to charge me for the "top of the line lens/coatings etc" when my insurance covered all the my glass/lens I needed and being told it was a hassle to have to resubmit the cost and coverage fees. Not a great experience being a new customer.

Visionworks of America misinformed about copay coverage

I scheduled an annual screening sometime in september to an optometrist but was found to have eye infection (Keratitis) so I was prescribed with an eye gtt antbx to be used for 7days and told to come back after a week for follow-up, meanwhile the customer service said that it will be covered by my medical insurance and wasnt told about the copay. After a week I came back, seen for less than a minute and was told my eyes werent cleared yet (Missed few dose), so I scheduled again hoping that next meeting my eyes will be cleared from infection and ill be able to used my vision benefits. To my dismay I was told that my eyes werent clear again yet (This is more than 2wks on eye gtts antibiotics) and asked to come back again for another follow up check. Me hoping the optometrist will clear my eyes the 3rd follow up check planned on getting another schedule but was beyond pissed when I learned and asked the optometrist if the next time (4th visit) if I got cleared will she be able to do the annual eye screening... She told me that I need to re schedule another day becaused technically they cannot bill two of my insurances (Medical (Blue cross/blue shield and davis vision) at the same day. Not sure how this works but these are the words she told me. I was so pissed thay it all boils down to insurance billing and all that... Wasted my time to come back several times hoping I can use my vision insurance before the year ends. Then to add up more insult to the injury I receive copay bills of $40 each visit (X3)... I was so infuriated that I clarified the bills to visionworks danvers spoke to curtis hamel was told that its not a copay but its service rendered and direct me to contact their billing department and my medical insurance (Blue cross/blue shield). I did contact blue cross blue shield and was told that they didnt received any service claim from vision works but only the patient co-pay that I need to shoulder. I really dont mind paying co-pays and I never had problem with this until now, I felt deceived and mis informed. I only want to use my vision benefits from the start, if only during the first meeting that ill be billed for copays, I wouldnt have gone back the 2nd and 3rd time (And was asked to come back the 4th time) I would have gone to an opthalmologist instead... Up until now my blood boils everytime I think about this...

Visionworks of America horrible service, inaccurate prescription placed in glasses sales receipt 5.9 nt [protected]

After many years of using FOR EYES optical I had to use your service since the eye insurance company used by my employer changed to Davis Vision and your company was the preferred in network service. What a mistake! I went to your optical located at 12208 Pines Blvd. Pembroke Pines Florida on 11/09/2017. I was told there was a special offer of buy 2 frames for the price of S89.00 but upon close inspection of the frames there is only a handful of frames at this discounted price, each rack is stacked with the same discounted frames! Regardless, I ordered 2 pairs of glasses: 1 progressive distance, 1 to wear over my contact lenses for reading. I came in on 11/17/2017 for pickup. The reading glasses were made incorrectly duplication of first prescription. I was told I would have to wait another week in a half till after the holidays for the correction to be made. The optometrist wouldn't even see me at 4:30 p.m. since I was having problems with the contacts and there were no patients waiting! Couldn't get another trial pair. After paying $226.50 for the upgrades like non-glare which doesn't even work! (These have more glare than my previous pair which doesn't have the non-glare feature!) I would have to make another trip to the shop for a follow up trial pair of contacts! I would like at least a discount on your horrible products and bad service! Extended wait and won't even have a pair of contacts to wear for the holidays!

Visionworks of America Customer service

My husband and myself have been coming here for years. With the new staff since we came last I assure you we will be looking for a new place to go. We never waited over an hour past our appointment time before . If they were busy I could understand, however no one else has come in. There was one person here before us. As well as two of the female workers talking loudly about their weekend and applying makeup. Very disappointed in your choice for this store. Best of luck if this is how you run all your store.

Visionworks of America Eyeglasses error

Hello,

I am writing as a very dissatisfied customer. I went to your Altamonte Springs store around February 2016 to get contacts. I have only worn 1 contact, in my right eye, for quite a few years, maybe at least 7 years. The left eye does not require prescription.

So I got my contact lenses, and they offered me glasses at an additional charge. So I told them OK, and ordered the glasses. I explained in detail that the left lens would not have a prescription, and they seemed to understand.

I have not worn the glasses until recently, as I ran out of contacts. Well, guess what, I cannot see close up with the glasses as they did put a prescription on the lens. I can see almost perfectly far away, but cannot see anything at all close up. I have to take off my glasses to see up close, which is ridiculous. Obviously, your staff did not follow instructions and my request, so these glasses are only for distance, as I see perfectly close up without glasses.

It is too late to do anything now, as I only just started wearing them. I will NEVER use

Vision Works again a day in my life, and will give a poor recommendation to all I know that use your facilities.

Melba Rosado

Visionworks of America Paid for glasses and glasses were not received? Fraudulent activities

I paid for 2 pair of glasses Dec.31st, 2017. I Telephoned to pick glasses up. Went to pick them up but was dissatisfied with one pair due to the thickness of the frame (paid extra price to have frames thin and intentionally displayed by rx to sales associate on date the glasses were ordered and paid to make certain this feature would enable my frame to be thinner since eye sight is bad. I was given assurance, so I paid for the feature.
2nd pair of glasses did not look to have anything done to thin the frame, it was thick. I did not take the glasses but took the 1st pair. The manager was not there but they said one would call.
I received a call from a manager and we discussed. She told me to take my time and the glasses would be there, not to rush and they would take care of me.
For unbeknown reason I will not like to share, I went back today to inquire about the glasses 4-5 months later. The supervisor informed me that it was my fault I waited so long, they did not have the glasses and they could have been considered as abandon in which they are thrown away.
No phone call to informed me they were throwing them away, no tracking information as to what they have on the abandon list or throw away list, no documentation of the customer several discussions about the dissatisfaction, no documentation of whether I picked the glasses up or not (I was informed they don't do anything of these things). No validation of any thing being pick up and all they do is have where I paid and that is it.
These practices should be investigated. I do not see a large company such as this acting in such a irresponsible manner (no validation of a two step process- fitting your glasses and receiving them). This is critical. And to just throw away paid glasses, no.no.. No.
it is my belief that someone from the inside did not expect me to come back and they turned the glasses in and they received my funds as a credit. This is fraudulent, all of the practices should be reviewed by an external auditor. I have emailed customer complaint with all supportive documents and more detail, I am also going to hand deliver a copy of my email to the local store, and my bank will get a copy because at this point is only about the principle-doing what is right.

Visionworks of America Being treated in a rudeness way (no respect)

On Sept.30 we stopped by Visionworks store #66 at 5619 Loop 1604 N Suite 114. We were properly greeted by a Lady name Katherine.who was very helpful She obtained all the information from us and asked if we wanted tolook at some frames for my son's glasses. We told her that we would look at some to see which one's my son would pick.
Well while we were standing next to a set of glasses and my son trying them on, this lady just cut in front of me like I wasn't there. Later I found out she was the manager (Rene) she did this a couple of times without saying excuse me or sorry.I just looked at her but didn't say anything . I was going to forget the incident but we went back to the store on Saturday the 7th to see if any frames that my son wanted had come in. And I was greeted by the Manager Rene, never thinking that I would run into her again. And it just brought back thoughts of her rudeness the first time I saw her and the way she greeted was like she didn't feel like greeting customers. This lady is a manager and she greets people and treats them rude .All I know If I was her supervisor, she would not be working for me any longer. Very Rude lady.

Visionworks of America Price

Your ad on the internet states "2 pairs $29 - Single vision" and "2 pairs $69 - progressive"

I wanted 2 pair progressive lenses, one pair clear glass and one pair sunglasses. I expected to pay a little more for the sunglasses, alas, a "little" more became a "lot" more. The total price quoted to me was in excess of 500.00.
This was at your store in the Alliance Center in Alliance, Texas.

What's up with that?

Visionworks of America Unprofessional

I only went to Visionworks because my insurance company covered more towards the exam and lenses. My first visit there I saw Palmieri. My first impression of him was that he was not very welcoming. He checked my eyes and prescribed a prescription for my glasses which I picked up 2 weeks later. I tried them for 2 days, but I got a instant headache and my vision was very blurry, so I called back and scheduled an appointment with another optometrist because I thought if "Mr Charming" couldn't get in right maybe his colleague could. She tried a few different lenses but couldn't get it right either. I was about ready to give up and pay out of pocket elsewhere. However, I decided to give them a 3rd try since my insurance had already been billed and made another appointment for 6/16/17. I wasn't aware that it was scheduled with "Mr. Charming" again. During my visit, he kept making the comment "as we get older our eyes get worse" Okay, I understand that, but are you penalizing me because I'm older. How would you treat a senior? He made that comment about 6 times and kept trying different lenses, is 1 better than 2 or is A better than B. So, I said, A is better than B but it's still blurry and he made that comment again, well as we get older...I said "isn't that why we get glasses so we can see" and his comment was, "I can't fix your eyes." I had enough. I told him to give me my glasses I'm done. Told him he was rude and walked out. I would rather pay out of pocket and go elsewhere rather then ever step foot in a Visionworks again.

Visionworks of America Customer service

I was in the store in Springfield, MO on Oct 2, 2016. I was in the store for 20+min trying on frames while 2 girls stood behind the counter with no other person in the store. At no time did anyone ask if they could help me. When I sent am email to Customer Service, she told me a territory manager would be contacting me. After 2 weeks, and me hearing nothing, I contacted customer service again & asked when this manager was contacting me? Apologies all over the place via email & to this day I STILL have not been contacted!

Visionworks of America Glasses coupon

I had my eyes examined on 9/2/16. I ordered glasses at that time and picked them up on 9/12/16. Prior to scheduling my exam, my daughter contacted several optometrists for me in order to find the best deals. I am a retired senior citizen on a fixed income. She was told by Visionworks that since I had no vision insurance they offered 20% off to Seniors and at that time there was an add'l 40% off, so that meant I would get a total of 60% off. They only gave me the 40% and then stated they couldn't give the 20% normally given to seniors. I paid for my glasses, but was extremely unhappy. I feel they should honor the additional 20%. If they won't I will return the glasses for a full refund.
Thank you for your time. Please contact me via email as my phone is not working at this time.

Visionworks of America Unethical behavior

Sales rep lied about my insurance benefits. After I got home and pulled out my vision benefits, I realized that I nearly avoided a 300$ bill for glasses that I had to settle for because the ones in stock which should have been free were even more. I went to another provider and all the lies that Mary at visionworks in Summit mall had told me came to light. If she did not lie than she is greatly mistaken and should not be handling benefits. The sales staff is on commission and when you use your benefits their commission decreases. Do not ever trust Sales associates from this company.

Visionworks of America Poor customer service

I entered the store and said hello to a person standing at the door. This person refused to speak or even acknowledge me or my son. We made direct eye contact. I assumed it was a rude customer and moved on. Within seconds the store manager approached me and asked what we needed and informed me that any of the store associates would be happy to help including the rude person standing at the entrance who was an employee. I did not have to tell the manager what happened because witnessed.what happened. I address the employee who the shook his head and walked away still refusing to speak. The manager stated this employees actions should not be taken the wrong way and he would find someone else. The entire store was empty. Just me my son and three employees which included the manager. This place is rumored to be overpriced but is was so close to where I live that it was convenient. I will pay more for quality and convenience but I will not spend a dime where my business is not wanted. Visionworks in Seekonk, MA.

Visionworks of America Ins.

BEWARE! I recently had an Insurance Billing error for an eye exam at Visionworks at the 2156 E.
Williamsfield Rd. San Tan Mall Gilbert Arizona and after contacting my Insurance company Avesis, they stated it was an easy mistake to fix and directed me how to simply resolve the issue with
Visonworks. So, I head back to Visionworks, unknowingly entering into the worst customer service experience that I’ve ever been a part of with Visionworks General Manager, Courtney Brown, guiding me through this Visionworks nightmare.

Walking into Visionworks I was directed to the already unhappy General Manager, Courtney Brown, to begin my story, which ended up feeling more like an interrogation. As I started explaining
the problem to the Visionworks General Manager, she was rolling her eyes, not listening, and just waiting for me to stop talking so she could jump on me about how I was mistaken and that I obviously misheard her Visionworks employee, making sure I knew I was wrong about Avesis ‘s “BACK OUT OF THE CLAIM” explanation because ”that’s not how it works.” She kept referring to it as “services rendered, ” stating how Avesis and Visionworks will “never back out of services rendered.” After receiving a long lecture and being educated on the eyecare business ethics from
this General Manager, Courtney Brown, in front of other customers and nearby employees, as if she was showing them how to set a customer straight. After her passive-aggressive comments about my integrity, I then pleaded with Courtney to contact Avesis, which she did with frustration as if I
was wasting her time, but Courtney did get Avesis on the phone, and after a quick explanation to an Avesis customer service representative (with a undertone that the customer in front of her was a liar), it seemed Courtney now was agitated with the outcome of the call. I could hear her talking down to the representative and responses stating “It’s not that I’m refusing to do it, it’s just not how Visionworks does it, “ and “If I do this for the customer, we won’t get paid for 15 days and will need to make the customer wait.” After a long pause from Courtney, which I assume that the Avesis
agent was explaining the process, Courtney just stated, “well I can’t do this at this location, all our claims go through the corporate office in Texas, so I’m going to have to call back, “ hanging up on the Avesis representative. I then suggested to Courtney that I would just pay the $39 in question and wait the time she needed if this would help the issue and open up the benefits, but Courtney just stated very rudely “That’s not going to work. I’ll need to contact Texas tomorrow and I’ll call you back, “ as if I just destroyed her next work day. Courtney then took my contact information and as I
started walking out, she obviously changed her mind, stating I needed to ask one of the employees on the floor for her card because she gets really busy, so it would be best for me to call her instead.

I walked into Visionworks at the 2156 E. Williamsfield Rd. location, to get two pairs of glasses only to walking out empty handed, publicly embarrassed, Insurance stolen, spoken to like a child, and my
integrity questioned, all in front of Visionworks customers and employees.

I should have looked around at reviews before I took my husband there. We have insurance and they still tried to charge us $1000 for two pairs of glasses. I threw a fit and took it back down to the one pair. Still it cost me $464. According to my insurance this should cost no more than $200 (that is why we have insurance). Now we have wasted our "yearly" visit allowed on these people. Also they said on the phone they could make the glasses there and now we are waiting 10 days. We went this route because my husband's frame broke on his old pair and he needs these to see. Never are we going back in there again after this experience.

Visionworks of America Worst employee appearance

I went in to price glasses and see if I can make an appointment to see the doctor. I wasn't able to see the doctor because she had already left for the day. However the person that was helping was a little to interested In my personal life. Some of the questions she asked was irrelevant and her appearance was very unprofessional. She has animal hair on her clothes, she has smudges of dirt on her pants which by the way dragged on the floor. Her hair open and was left all over ... I picked up my water n her hair was on my bottle ... Because she kept moving it out the way. Please if your working with customers make yourSelf presentable. I was so turned off by her appearance that I made an appointment at a different location. PAY ATTENTION TO HOW YOU PRESENT YOURSELF. And the managers allow her to work with people looking like that. What if she spreads something.
