Vision Direct returned contact lenses

I returned my contact lenses last month and still have not heard anything from Vision Direct. Now their website is gone. I tried to track my package via USPS and Newgistics (they provided the prepaid SmartLabel for the return). The tracking number on the return slip is [protected]. Neither USPS or Newgistics say that number is valid. Come to find out my order number is the same as this Tracking number. What kind of scam is this? I want my money back. There is no one to call at Vision Direct. I've been trying for several weeks.

Vision Direct Ridiculous service!

I have placed an order for three boxes of contacts and must say that my order arrived in a timely manner but one box was incorrect. I contacted VisionDirect customer service and they claimed that was impossible and that they stand behind their products and service. Then I sent them a picture of what I have received and they finally said that it was their mistake. They actually admitted that it was their mistake but they refused to do anything about that! They said that next time I'll get a discount and that's all they did! I'm shocked what a lousy service they have. And what am I suppose to do with those contacts? Terrible!

Vision Direct I will never deal with visiondirect again!

Ordered a pair of contacts from VisionDirect website and I'm glad that I've ordered only one pair. Their site seemed trustworthy enough, prices were also great so at the beginning I wanted to order a lot more. But I changed my mind and I'm glad I did that. Anyways, I made my order and was supposed to get it within two weeks. Nothing arrived and after three weeks of waiting I contacted VisionDirect about my order and they asked me to call back later. I called but they did not pick up. Finally reached these guys two days later. They said that my order was not in stock so they cancelled it. I demanded a full refund but they said that was not possible and offered me a 25% discount on my next order! Are kidding me? I don't want to deal with these scammers ever again and all I want is my money back!

Vision Direct Stay away from these scam artists!

I ordered a glasses from VisionDirect, but when I received the glasses and tried them on for the first time I couldn't see clearly. That happened because they filled my order incorrectly. I contacted VisionDirect customer service and said that I need an exchange. But they refused and started to blame me. They said that my eye sight has changed and it is only my fault, so there will be no exchanges and no refunds. When I realized that the new glasses doesn't work, I've put back my old ones and everything was just fine. I contacted them again, and now they said that I've already opened the package and they would not refund the opened box. Horrible unfair customer service!

Vision Direct Contact Lenses

I like so many others find their "offers" are bait and switch. You respond to a 15% or a 20% or a 25% offer, only to be told that it does not apply to your specific lens after you order! For the past two orders, it has taken them weeks to send my contacts. This time, they used the excuse that it took two days to contact my doctor; they do not have to contact my doctor; they have my original prescription on file. Then they admitted they were out of my particular lens and had to order it from the manufacturer! That will take 2-4 business days for them to order and more business day to get the order to them, and even more to ship them to me! If Vision Direct had been honest, I could have gone some place else online and had my contacts by this Friday. Now it looks as if it will be at least two maybe three weeks before I get them. As the old saying goes, "if a mule kicks you twice, it is not the mule's fault." I have 5 day of lenses left. If I do not have my lenses by next Tuesday, I simply will never order from this company again. I do not believe them and I do not appreciate the trickery. If you do not have the stock, you need to let the customer go shop elsewhere so they can get their lenses - - not hold them hostage with stories and half-told truths. Beware! .

Vision Direct You will be definitely left disappointed

Ordered a pair of prescription glasses early December as a Christmas gift for my niece. Glasses were tagged as fast shipping, which means shipped in 3-5 days. No contact from vision direct for 7 days so I contacted them to see what was going on. The person I spoke to didn't know but assured me they would ring back in 24-48 hours. No phone call, so I contacted them again only to be told the glasses I ordered were discontinued! Left without a gift for my niece for Christmas. Devastated!

Customer service is appalling as all the conversations are scripted and e mails proformas? Don't deal with them... you will be definitely left disappointed!

Vision Direct gift card promotion

Vision direct was running a promotion where you receive a $50 restaurant.com gift card with a $100 purchase. I made the purchase and received the contacts but did not receive a gift card. I emailed customer service, they replied within a day saying that my order did qualify and they have put a request in with restaurant.com to send me the gift card number via email and that I should expect it in 5-10 days. I allowed 3 weeks to go by and emailed them again. They replied a couple of days later saying that they would look into it and get back to me. After 2 weeks and not reply I emailed them again and received no response. I have emailed every week now for about 4 weeks and they are not replying to any of my emails. I used to like this company but this is very bad service and I will not be buying anything from them again.

I agree with these reviews. It is a scam and they are misleading. They are great at responding with customer service right away but they do not resolve the problem. Run!

Vision Direct restaurant.com gift card promo

In April 2012 Vision Direct had a promotion that if you made a purchase over $99, you would get a $50 restaurant.com certificate. Weeks later and many phone calls later and I do not have the certificate. I see other people posting that the same thing happened to them. I have never had issues with their contacts over many years of ordering with them. But I find it quite disappointing that they are pulling this one over on the public.

Hi MCLARK4! This is Dean again, as mentioned above I am a supervisor with Vision Direct's Customer Care department. In response, the Restaurant.com gift certificate does not get physically shipped out with your Vision Direct order. It is an offer through an affiliate site and once your order is processed and shipped, we notify Restaurant.com and they will follow up and e-mail you the gift certificate code within 10 business days. (These e-mails are always delivered on Mondays.) If it's been more than 10 business days (Mon-Fri) since your order was shipped, please send us an e-mail at fbhelp@visiondirect.com and we'll be happy to look into this for you. We're very sorry for any confusion or inconvenience this has caused.

I also ordered through visiondirect.com using their own advertised percent off AND a $50.00 restaurant.com certificate via email AFTER receiving notification of shipment. Well notification of shipment was received without any mention of the restaurant.com certificate. Why is this happening, this could easily cause many regular customers to purchase eyewear elsewhere.

Vision Direct Horrible service, extremely sllooowww shipping, messed up my payment

Horrible service, extremely sllooowww shipping, messed up my payment. Placed my order on 9/19/11, it is now 10/3 and I still have not received my order. I was told it would be shipped a week ago. I called today only to find out that a tracking # would be provided tonight for tomorrow's shipping. I should have reviewed this co before I gave them my money. They offered free shipping & a discount, so I guess I got what I paid for. I will gladly pay more next time to have efficient, timely service, along with customer service that knows their job.

My sister ordered them under her name. Cause we ordered them together. And now she moved so I need them under my name. I have my prescription. So can you help me. I need to order more contact I am completely out. If I can't then please let more know so I can find another company thank you

This company had a promotion going that one would receive a $25 Restaurant.com gift card with an order. My order came and no gift card. I contacted them and they said they checked my account and to expect it in a week to ten days. I let that time go by and still no gift card. I have contacted them five times since then and they refuse to respond. They send some auto-reply email back and it states that I should reply to that message if their crap FAQ did not help, well it did not help and I did reply, yet they have been ignoring me. It is not even about the gift card anymore. It is their customer service that sucks! It used to be good but not anymore. You do not ignore your customers. You have had 4-5 days to respond to each message I send you before I send another. In the past I have had questions answered in 24 hours, even on the weekends and now nothing. This is ridiculous. I do plenty of business with you and have so for years.

Vision Direct Refusal to process order

I made an online purchase for some contact lenses through a company called Vision Direct. I originally found this company through Rewards Central. My credit card payment was confirmed for an amount of $141.75 and everything seemed fine.

The very next day, I received an email stating that their order system had flagged my purchase as a potential non-authorised transaction with my credit card. I checked with my credit card provider, and everything was in good order. Vision Direct required further documentation like a drivers licence and/or utility bill (electricity bill etc)or they would cancel the order.

I just stared at my screen in misbelief. Was it some kind of joke? I thought that at first being April fools Day. So then, I responded and said that my transaction is genuine, and I considered providing the information they seeked, was a threat to my personal privacy.

Anyway, the emails were being sent backwards and forwards, until I decided in the end to send what they want. Because I needed lenses urgently. I asked if an electricity bill will do. Just then I received a credit card refund notice, and another email from them saying "Yes. Please send us the document".

I replied "But my credit card has already been refunded. Now what?"

They responded with "Then we can send you payment request via PayPal."

Of course I refused, and decided to do business with someone else.

I have sent a complaint to Vision Direct and also Rewards Central. I've yet to receive a reply.

I'm disgruntled to the max, and still have no contact lenses.
