Virgin Group flight delayed, connection in jo'burg missed.

On August 09, I was on flight VS 601 to Capetown, via Johannesburg. (booking ID 129567 - eticket [protected]-) The flight was delayed and as a result I missed my connection - flight SA323 - in Johannesburg.

I was directed to BA for another flight, but BA did not accept my ticket, and I had to buy a new ticket on BA. There was a lot of confusion and Virgin was not much help. It was a very bad experience.

I would like a refund for the ost of that ticket (abt £110.- have no receipt but you could check), and for the delayed flight, the missed connection and all the stress I suffered.

Virgin Group my seat paid for on a confirmed flight and told at airport there were no seats available

Monday 20/8/2018 confirmed flight and seat no. On virgin flight VA0740 dep. Good Coast at 1300 to Melbourne. On arrival at airport for check in told no seats available on this flight even though confirmed earlier. Was told I had to get anor flight when available. Ended up on flight VA0742 and it was delayed several times and was 3.5 hrs later than my booked flight. I cannot believe I was not able to board my booked flight in the first place. I am slightly disabled and was forced to walk so many extra distances yesterday I was in tears by the time I got on the plane. By the time we eventually left I was distraught. On arrival at Melbourne I was forced to rush like mad to get the last bus to Frankston and was left in a lot of pain as I am suffering from advanced osteo arthritis. Not one member of staff offered any assistance even though visibly obvious I needed help. So I presume that if u book a flight and seat months in advance u are not guaranteed that flight! I was so inconvenienced by this unbelievable incident which has left me very disappointed and angry, does this happen on a regular basis? If so I will not be flying with this airline again. The fact I was not contacted to say my seat was no longer available and given to someone else just adds to the bad customer relations of your airline. I wish to receive feedback for this most unbelievable incident which has caused me untold disruption - Jennifer Camerom
