I BOOKED A TOUR TO THAILAND WITH VIP ESCAPES. THEY CANCELLED THE TRIP EARLY SEPT. AND SAID THEY WOULD SUBMIT A GROUP CLAIM TO AN INSURANCE COMPANY(NEVER
DISCLOSED WHICH INSURANCE COMPANY) I FILLED OUT THE FORMS THEY SENT ME AND RETURNED THEM . SINCE SEPT 8 WHEN THE FORMS WERE RECEIVED, TO DATE, HAVE NOT HAD ANY WORD AS TO MY MONEY OR THE STATUS OF THE CLAIM.
CALLS ARE UNANSWERED . I AM DUE 1999.00.

IT NOW TURNS OUT 2 COLLEAGUES AT ANOTHER AGENCY ..WAYLAND TRAVEL IN WAYLAND MA, HAD THEIR TRIP CANCELLED BY VIP ESCAPES TO FRANCE. THEY ARE ALSO
WAITING FOR REIMBURSEMENT AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANYTHING. HOWEVER NO MENTION OF AN INSURANCE COMPANY IN THEIR CASE...

    All canceled trips are handled by insurance company. Insurance issued refunds deadlines can be up to 8 weeks depending on cases and claims. Other refunds may take up to 5 weeks based on the processing time by the suppliers and other vendors involved in the trip.
    That in independent of VIP Escapes doing and although we regret the delays in such matters, we are at the mercy at the insurance company.
    To protect its customers, VIP Escapes does not utilize the funds of other clients to refund past clients. There is a process and as long as it may take, it is in place to protect both consumers and suppliers as well as VIP Escapes.

    I suggest you call Detective Pierstorff at the Altamonte Springs Police Dept. in Florida
    407-571-8248 if you sent in money for a trip that was canceled and you never received a refund
    we are told as of 2-1-09, there is no bankruptcy filed.
