Vimeo Vimeo Plus

they defrauded us. Never signed up or agreed to a contract.

Charged me $84 a year to a fraudulently obtained credit card till I discovered it.

Refuse to refund or handle this.

I have been dealing with customer service for weeks without results.

They suggest I email legal, but no email is available.

I suggest you don't get involved with this disreputable company.

DON'T GET SCAMMED BY USING VIMEO.

Vimeo Censorship of peak Prosperity and the actions that I will take.

To whomever at Vimeo

I will never use your platform again after your Censorship of Peak Prosperity and I will use all the reach at my disposal to have as many people follow suit. What you have done is despicable, authoritarian and in the end useless. I look forward to the inevitable end to your Company as your users migrate to providers that retain a moral/ethical backbone and do not cave to propaganda narratives. I am enjoying watching the rapid decline in your stock price and I wish you a speedy decline into receivership.

Vimeo false advertising

these people are a scam,not only are they charging people hundreds of dollars to upload their videos,but they have a section where you supposedly can upload"mature"content...which they don't even make clear what constitutes as acceptable mature content that can be uploaded...i uploaded a gaming video that had mature content,nudity etc but they decided to remove it...I'm happy they showed how they operate so soon and before I was charged though...but never will I do business with this shady video hosting company again,the censorship is even worse then Youtube,atleast youtube doesn't charge you hundreds of dollars...not to mention the uploading process is horrendous on Vimeo...it took me hours just to upload a video that was less then 2 gigabytes!They want to charge people hundreds of dollars and can't even provide a platform that has fast uploading speeds?These people are a scam and I see I'm not the only person that is calling them out for it...I'm going to cancel my credit card now in case they try to charge me,I don't trust these people.

Desired outcome: I'll be warning as many people as I can to stay away from this service....

Vimeo Vimeo's tos

After nearly 2 decades of contribution Vimeo decides a film of a 1928 cartoon I uploaded when I was a student violated their TOS and deleted my entire account. There was no discussion or conversation and my entire life's work, mostly documentary, was erased. Everything I had built was gone, wiped from the internet. It was if they killed me. There is no way to get in touch with them, they will not hear my plea, and now I have nothing and there is no way to rebuild nearly 20 years of work. I am done.

Vimeo Trying to Cancel my Subscription but getting run around

On 25th February 2022 I decided that after looking at all my outgoings I had to cut back so I called my bank to try and cancel my Debit Card Payment to you Vimeo for a monthly charge of £12.00. My bank informed me that I had to go straight to you to cancel this but if I had no luck they could set up a complaint in my name and direct to you my concerns about not being able to cancel with you. So as I am not using my Vimeo account I am trying to cancel my subscription. There is a complete run around when you try to do this. I have spent an hour looking around the site to do this. Its like you are happy to get your business but don't want anyone to leave. I don't need Vimeo and I WANT TO LEAVE. Can you please cancel this as soon as possible.

Desired outcome: I WANT MY SUBSCRIPTION CANCELLED PLEASE

Let me state very clearly that my experience with your company has been a frustratingly difficult and unending process of ridiculous and entirely unhelpful customer support. After signing up for a year subscription to Docsville I suddenly couldn’t access my account. I contacted your support team September 9th and was told I was not a subscriber. I sent them the confirmation email I had received January 9, 2022, which they dismissed. I then sent them all the information from my credit card purchase. Suddenly they ‘discovered’ that I was in fact a legitimate subscriber. I then got passed up the apparent chain of hierarchy in customer support each recommending the exact same fix, which I responded each and every time with having tried that with the same lack of results. Twenty two email exchanges later the ‘Support’ team decided to no longer respond to me. A week went by and suddenly I get an email stating that they’re sorry for the delay and they had received ‘permission’ to go ahead and set up a new account for me with additional time added to make up for the months I was not able to access my Docsville account. I still haven’t heard back about this latest scam support. Even more disturbing was that I was able to find an access to my account on the Vimeo site where my Docsville account was. I attempted to cancel my renewal but was unable, however a NEW renewal date was posted there for September 19! My subscription renewal would not be until January 6, 2023! You are a huge disappointment and extremely blinded by your inability to support the people that make your company… your customers. Reviews on your company back this all up… and continue to increase daily about the exact same issue… atrocious customer support. There is no support! And to think all I did was sign up for quality documentary viewing. Wow.

Vimeo The worst & never get any views

Vimeo is a SCAM.

Never post content on Vimeo.
It's the lowest, worst-quality site.
It never ever gets ANY views, whether on its "free" service or the shady "upgraded" service which you must pay for.
In fact, Vimeo engages in serious corruption:
1). Skews video quality and even your texts in the video Description" box, so that it barely corresponds with your video.
2). Immediatly after posting videos, your content will be taken out of all search results, so that you'll fall into their trap pf "upgrading" and paying huge sums in order for your content to be seen by, at most, .01% percent of the population.
3). Vimeo is a SCAM.

Here is just a partial overview of my experience:
(After having posted content, which cooperated with all policies and had received viral views on all other major sites:

Vimeo to me:
"Your account has been removed by staff for violating our policies."

My reply to Vimeo:

There was no valid reason to remove my account. or my video.
IN THIS COUNTRY WE HAVE SOMETHING CALLED THE AMENDMENTS AND BILL OF RIGHTS, WHICH LEGALLY ALLOWS FREE SPEECH.
AND, my video committed no hate speech, no "violation" of any type.
How and WHY should my account have been removed WITHOUT:
1). First notifying me and giving me a chance to correct any alleged "violation">>
2). WITHOUT even telling me what this so-called violation is?

There was NO reason to remove my video or my account.
You weren't even so much as able to give me a valid reason--ALL YOU GAVE WAS SOME AUTOMATED MESSAGE OF REMOVAL.
Yet you suggested that UPGRADE my account and PAY for said "upgrade."
Outrageous.

Vimeo is a SCAM.
DO not waste your time.
There are far better sites, which are absolutely FREE and which are prominent in all search engines and never scam anyone.

Vimeo Worst way of doing business

If you need more storage you'll have to pay. A lot of money. But at first, you'll be subscribed for free. If you don't, you'll be thrown away from the website. And you will need to log in again to contact their customer service that in this case is absolutely useless. What the hell is this?
I have never seen anything worse than your attitude for customers.

Vimeo we are a paid user and very much disappointed wit vimeo.com now

Started as a very good video sharing website. But unfortunately now they changed their strategy. Became just another big corporation that doesn't care about what users tell. They changed their UI design and it's a crap now. I saw many people complaining but their staff just told everyone to Shut Up. we don't do anything about it.

We are a paid user and very much disappointed wit Vimeo.com now.
