I ordered 3 pies the beginning of December and I verified the order on December 21st and was told that I could pick them up on the 24th. I asked if there was a specific time and was told no they would be open for business. As it was when I got to the restaurant at 3:00 p.m., the store was closed. The door was open, I went in and was told they closed at...

Village Inn women’s handicap stall

I come to this Village Inn on a regular basis. Usually I need to use the handicap restroom stall and I've notice a large hole in the bottom left corner of the wall beside the stool. The cover is off and now with winter here it is extremely cold in the women's bathroom. I'm assuming it's because of the cover off. It looks terrible as well. Please see the picture I've attached,

Village Inn product and service

Me and my family came out to eat on a Saturday morning. We could hear someone yelling in the back kitchen. Not what I consider a welcoming environment for my children. So I asked my server Rachel who the blonde lady that's going around yelling at everyone is. She said that it was the General Manager. She was treating all the employees very poorly. I will not be back to eat with my family. That was a very unpleasant visit to your restaurant. Someone might want to tell that woman to tone it down a little. Especially in front of kids.

Village Inn food on october 1, 2018

My husband and I ate at the Moorhead, MN restaurant yesterday, October 1, 2018. He ordered the turkey dinner. The food was piled sloppily on the plate and the gravy was dark looking. He ate a few bites, the waitress offered to "warm it up". This meal needed much more than that, the potatoes were cold and the gravy congealed. Needless to say, he did not eat any more of it, we paid the bill and left. The worst was yet to come as my husband became ill shortly after. I called and talked to the manager who said "he would get on top of it". We have eaten at that restaurant many times but do not plan to ever go back.

Village Inn corporate and local management

Who's Policing The Police at our Village Inns? Clearly, the Corporate Office just lollygags along, ignoring customer complaints that correspond directly to apathetic, negligent management crews. Case in point: "Chuckles, The Wonder Manager" at the St. Augustine, FL Village Inn.
As other customer comments indicate, when it comes to distinguishing a good employee from a bad one, Ol' Chuckles couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with a sack of beans. In short, this clueless manager fired one of his best servers -- exclusively because a dishonest employee made false, slanderous accusations about an honest one.
Easy then, for the manager to fire the latter -- since he'd been looking for an excuse to do so, for reasons he could only dredge up during nightmarish dreams about an intelligent, hard-working, highly-competent, well-liked, honest server. Perhaps it was her eloquence, education and professional background that threatened him most. Whatever the case, it backfired on him -- like a rusted-out exhaust system in a derelict El Camino.
Turns out, the employee who made the unfounded accusation was reported by a customer, shortly-thereafter, for having been WUI (Working Under the Influence) during her shift at the Village Inn. Chuckles had no choice but to fire her -- but not before he'd jumped the gun, and taken action against the more responsible server.
Oh, Well, Village Inn. Your loss.
BTW: If you do nothing else, Corporate -- You would do well to order Manager
Chuckles to Cease & Desist his claims (to employees wrongly-discharged) that he has so-called "evidence of wrongdoing" recorded on work site "video tape" -- especially, in that the work site was not equipped with such equipment, to begin with. Such is the reason the State backed the employee he terminated -- and such is the reason he screwed the St. Augustine Village Inn out of dozens of friends and appreciative customers take their business elsewhere.
Oh, Sweet Moses! For a restaurant that serves up so much coffee, you guys in Corporate & Management sure are BIGLY Clueless about how to Wake Up & Smell It! See ya'll at Ned's Diner.

Village Inn the whole thing

We entered a village inn at 1:am on sun 6/17, after just landing at dia from a family vacation.in attendance, my husband, myself and our 10 year old son. We were famished, and had just gotten a hotel room online nearby.
We were met with no staff for the first 12 minutes in the restaurant. We sat ourselves, there were others seated/eating, so we anticipated the wait to be minimal. There was a vacuum plugged in and sitting in the middle of dining room; tables needing to be bussed and a mop near the front door, unattended as well.
We were finally approached by deanna, who took our orders. She was nice, and our food came promptly; a bit too fast. Our dishware was dirty, coffee was sour (old/w grounds) and the food, overall was really bad. O/e eggs broken, and 1/2 cooked. My son ate his bacon and picked at the chocolate chips in his pancakes. My husband and I barely ate, gave up, as it was late, and clearly, we had no one to complain to. Staff was goofing around in the back, smoking, yelling and not attending us.
Check was left on the table, and I was shocked at the $31.04 total. I left out a cc for payment, and no one came, so we left cash... Just 3.00 tip, and we didn't want to do that. Nothing was earned.
We left hungry, angry and unsatisfied wholly. This was a horrible store, in need of cleaning and attention. Staff is unkempt, dishes are questionable as to cleanliness, and overall food was very poor.
We would like a full refund for this lack of service, food and overall horrible experience. I would like someone to call me, and I will offer receipt and details.

Village Inn very poor service

My wife and I went to the Village Inn in Ankeny, Iowa on Sunday, June 9, 2013.
A young waitress came to our table and we placed our order. My wife ordered soup and I ordered the turkey and dressing off of the “3 pm to 6 pm” lunch menu.
When the waitress brought our order, mine was missing the cranberry sauce. The turkey serving was also skimpy, amounting to only one small, thin slice of turkey. I asked the waitress about the missing item and she said “it didn’t come when ordered from the luncheon menu.” Then my wife said she had seen it on the menu and the waitress replied again, this time with an argumentative tone that, “no, it didn’t.” I asked to see the menu. She brought the menu and there it was in print that the selection DID come with cranberry sauce.
Now this may seem a minor issue, and it is not so much about my order not being correct as it is my meal being ruined by an uninformed waitress and then the ensuing treatment. When I showed the menu to the waitress, she walked away. Then a person who identified herself as “Nancy” came to our table, bringing the cranberry sauce and dinner roll. She asked “now is everything okay?” I said no, that I would like to speak to the manager.
“Nancy” said “can I help you because our manager is busy in the cooler.” I replied that I wanted to speak to the manager. Nancy again said he was in the cooler and wanted to know what the problem is. Finally I told her the problem was that I wasn’t able to speak to the manager. During all this time I hadn’t eaten ONE bite and my dinner was becoming cold.
Several minutes later the manager came to our table. His expression was unfriendly and it was clear he was annoyed because we had interrupted his work in the cooler. I explained the issue with the cranberry sauce and said I thought there was training lacking with the waitress and stated I didn’t like having to become engaged in an argument instead of the waitress simply filling our order as it was advertised. I then pointed out the skimpy serving of turkey and asked him if that was the usual amount of turkey. He said “no, it should come with more than that.” YET he made no move to DO anything. I finally looked at him and wondered if he REALLY was the manager. Then I said “Do you want to do anything?” He walked away and came back a couple of minutes later with a few more slices of turkey and a side order of gravy – which I hadn’t asked for. By this time the rest of my order was cold and I ate a few bites and said to my wife “lets go.”
When I got up to the counter to pay, two young men behind the counter were standing there talking and ignoring me. Finally one turned and looked at me and I handed him the check and my credit card. I asked him if he could give me the name and contact number of the district manager. Neither of them knew who that was or what I was talking about. One of them walked away and brought “Nancy” to the counter. I explained to her that I would like to have the name and number of her manager’s boss. She walked away and wrote down a name and telephone number (which turned out to be incorrect).[protected].
I handed her my check and my credit card and told her how displeased I was with the whole visit. She then - AFTER ALL THE TIME THAT HAD PASSED – said she was “sorry, ” and that I didn’t need to pay. I told her that whoever was in charge of training the original waitress had done a poor job and that when a customer has an issue the best response should be: I’M SORRY. I’LL FIX IT. Nothing else. I also told her that her ignoring my original request to speak to her manager and having her block it was annoying and poor service.
She finally said I didn’t have to pay. But THAT wasn’t the issue. I wish I had been able to (1) have my order filled correctly and (2) been able to enjoy it and eat it while it was warm. Neither happened. I’ll never eat there again and be assured I will let anyone I speak to know how terrible the service was.

Foxy grandma. I'm sure if it had been you you would be throwing a fit. Unless you don't care what you eat or the service that you pay for. This guy has every right to complain about crap service .After all it's his money, his time, and it was his choice to eat there. And it's his right to let the rest of us know what kind of restaurant it is. Maybe if other people did, these nasty places would clean up there act. or close down.
