We purchased a Viking stovetop from Number 1 Appliance. It arrived after three weeks delivery time. The delivery company set it in our garage as the remodeling of our kitchen was not prepared at that time to install the new stove top. One week later we opened the box that contained the new stovetop, only to find the glass top completely shattered. I called Number 1 Appliance and they said we were obligated to open the package upon arrival and report any damage at that time. It was too late to file a claim. I called Viking to report the horrible customer service and lack of responsibility taken by Number 1 Appliance. They said it was up to Number 1 Appliance to file the claim against the freight company. Number 1 Appliance refused to assist in filing a claim. They were rude, unresponsive and plainly did not care. We lost $2500 to this horrible company! Buyer beware!! Lower prices means lower standards and horrible customer service.
