Veterinary Care Unlimited review: Terrible exotic animal knowledge!

Please DO NOT go to Dr. Paolini! I brought my geriatric rabbit to this vet because she has arthritis and I read that this vet handles exotics. What a mistake! I had my initial visit, which went OK. After the visit my rabbit slowly got worse and I decided to take the next stop by starting her on Adequan, a series of 5 shots every 4-5 days. The vet administered the first shot, which gave me the impression she would continue to be there and give her the remainder of the shots. The second visit was rescheduled which threw my rabbits shots off schedule. The third visit the vet tech administered the shot, pulled it out, and said that she didn't think she gave my bunny all of it. Instead of the vet coming out to access the situation and make me feel more comfortable, she told the vet tech (out of sight) to give her the shot again and that if she came out, it would be an additional fee for a vet visit. I was livid! I never received a call from the vet, even after everyone there knew I left upset. I went back to finish the series and will never return again. I should've known better on my first visit when I would ask Dr. Paolini any questions, she constantly ran to the back to look it up on her computer and would then return with an answer. Also note that I drove from Brooklyn to Queens for this vet, thinking my bunny was in good hands. I hope everyone learns from all of these bad reviews and thinks twice before entering this establishment.
