Vauxhall Motors work not done

i bought a car in october last year 2013 .I took it for a test drive and noticed a few little things wrong.first of all the tempgauge was not working proper and the windescreen wipers were not clearing the rain from the window front and back.
They said it will be sorted when you come to pick it up i said ok .
Two days later i picked up the car and was assured the work had been done.I had paid cash for the car so no issues there.
But when i did pick it up it was a sunny day so no need for wipers to be used the temp gauge was not working but i had gone to far to turn back because of comitments .SO i thought i will ring them monday morning to get it sorted.
So i rang monday morning to get this sorted and to my surprize they could not do it for 3 weeks so i said ok .
Three weeks later takes it in to get sorted and i also asked them about the air con wasnt blowing cold air they said it would need re gasing .I said ok can you do that aswell they said ok.
My car went in to be done they did the wipers and the temp gauge but not the air con i said ok when can you do it.they said we could do it when it comes in for a service.TO quite honest this is the biggest load of crap i have ever come across i have only had the car a month so it would be another 11 months before the air con would be done .So i booked it in for a service and to get the aircon done they said ok 238 pound service and the aircon would another 50 pound on top.
I told them about the aircon 4 weeks after i bought the car and she said it was still chargeable so i cancelled my service with peter vardy there and then.
the reg of the car sv58sxu vauxhall vectra when i paid cash on the day of the test drive which was a big mistake on my behalf .
I thinking if it was a brand new car i would of been treated better but they were so interested in getting there bloody survey filled in by people buying cars from peter vardy its totally out of order and this has just upset me buying another vauxhall from peter vardy
for that matter any car from peter vardy just seems to me i have been shafted buying a car whether second hand or new

yrs faithfully mr p. reeves phone [protected] or [protected]

Vauxhall Motors added items not asked for in quote

Avoid at all costs !
I would not normally add to a site complaining about a company, however I have had such bad service from Go Vauxhall I now find myself taking out a civil claim against them.
Very brief situation;
November 2013 car taken to Go vauxhall for a gear box issue, advised there is nothing wrong with it.
Back to Go Vauxhall 3 months ago with same issue, advised again nothing wrong with it but charged me over £700 to clean the fuel injectors.
Back to Go vauxhall a month ago with yet again the same issue. This time via a telephone call told needs new gear box and radiator, and the cost will be £6500 !
Not happy and asked for a written quote with all items listed, a lot of other items added which I was not advised of or asked for, including one item for £1500 which I still dont know what it is !
Bill however was now £5500, don't know why it had dropped by a grand.
Now the bill is £2500.
Find that the garage should have done a "re work" when they had my car in for a service, however as it is not a "safety recall" it is up to the garage if they do it or not !

Lots and lots more to it, please contact me if you are thinking about taking your car to them, or have also had issues as I am now taking civil action against them. I have all the emails, quotes and paperwork to back everything up.

NOT a happy Vauxhall customer.
Rant over.

Vauxhall Motors manufacturing fault

Following a lot of research into small economical cars in September 2012 we became the proud owners of an 18 month old Vauxhall Corsa 1.3 CDTI ecoflex.
Less than two years later I was happily coasting along the M6 when suddenly I realised there was no acceleration at all. I instantly put the hazard lights on and dodged a lorry and van and crawled to a stop on the hard shoulder.
The breakdown company arrived an hour later and informed me that there was no petrol getting to the engine and the best thing to do would be to take it to a local garage which we duly did.
After a nail biting week the garage informed me that they had stripped the engine down and the timing chain had snapped, in their opinion “the chain was cheap rubbish not up to the job” they said they’d had several corsas with the same issue. It was not anything I had done as there was plenty of good oil in the engine and there were no signs of it having been loose. The total cost for all of the damage it had caused was £2830.
How can a 3.5 year old engine need so much work? Doing some research my engine has a timing chain rather than a belt which should last the life of the car, however there are multiple websites complaining of issues with timing chains having to be replaced due to them becoming loose and making a noise like a bag of nails, something my engine didn’t do it just stopped. I called the local Vauxhall and asked how often you should change your chain and they said “so long as it’s checked regularly it will never need changing”. Well I had a full service done on the car when I bought it so I assume it would have been checked then.
I called the dealership where I bought the car to ask if it was still under warranty, in fact I had to call 3 times to get to speak to someone as they were all busy. When I finally got to talk to someone I was told they couldn’t say and I would have to check my paperwork, great help when your 180 miles from home with no transport! Though they did say if I decided to go for a new car they had some good offers on the new Adam. I was so tempted to tell him where to stick his Adam.
So I resorted to twittering my concerns to Vauxhall and the response was if you take the car to a Vauxhall dealership they will look at it for you but there would be a charge for diagnosing the fault. As soon as I said that another garage had it stripped down they didn’t want to know though if I bagged up all the parts and transported the car to them they would still have a look. I asked if a mechanic could look at it at the other garage and they said because of Health and Safety they couldn’t. So after two weeks of misery stuck 180 miles from home without a car I had no other option but to tell my garage to repair the car.
Vauxhall now don’t want to know but I would like them to explain how a car that is less than four years old can go so badly wrong, why they believe it’s not a manufacturing fault and why their customer service is so appalling.
Vauxhall customer service is a joke and I will never buy another car from them and would follow my mechanics recommendation “you’d be better off buying German, Vauxhall’s are built from rubbish” I think I might have that made into a car sticker when I eventually get my car back

Vauxhall Motors customer service woes

In complete contrast to my initial glowing testimonial, I feel that since I signed on the dotted line, I have been pushed from pillar to post. My car arrival date has moved again and again going from the 1st of April to the 5th and now I'm being told it could possibly be the 11th, no sure answer, but maybe. I really am starting to feel like I don't even matter anymore and that now they have my order they don't care! The date moving is costing me a fortune, as i took my old car off the road ready for a April 1st arrival and have been using a hire car since thinking "It'll only be a day or two" How wrong could I have been.

The worst part about it all, is the complete lack of customer service that goes with it. I asked for regular updates of when my car was finally going to arrive, and got nothing. At all. They dont seem to care that i have to try and plan my life around picking the new car up, with hiring extra days from the hire car company, and making sure i can get a lift to the garage to actually pick the car up once it does arrive. However, I have had virtually no contact from the dealership, the only contact i do get is because I'm phoning most days to try and get some kind of answer, but even then my phone calls generlly get ignored. Poor poor customer service. I get promised a call back and the standard "he's just with a customer" but it never comes, and i have to wait until the next day to try myself again, as I'm not important enough it seems to have my calls returned.

All in all feeling very deflated about my experience with Marshall Vauxhall Peterborough, and as it stands, will be warning as many people as possible away from it. We were going to be getting my Mum's new car from them later in the year, (after getting my Gran's brand new car last year) But after the poor customer service I have recieved so far, I will be warning her to stay well away!

Dont think it gets any better after you get the car now, booked mines in for a mot today to be told they changed the date and forgot to tell me. Started a new job last week and took the day off to have the car sorted and now got to take tomorrow off too, dont think my new boss will be happy lol, might lose the job now. Not even a sorry, all I got was its chris fault. I told him to do me a favour and tell chris to at least phone the people next time f*** sack, understandable as I might lose my job and at least 2 day wages. To be told not to swear and he can speak to management and not do the work at all.

Vauxhall Motors rubbish customer service

We bought a brand new Astra GTC from Banbury Vauxhall, dont ever buy a car from there, we had a few teething problems, ie part of the dash kept popping out, the driver side door popped & was opening too far & the all the rubber around the passenger window tore. The liar of a service manager tried to glue the rubber but told us he had replaced it, told us they had replaced the part on the door all they did was oil it & the dash they superglued down but left a load of glue showing, but that was ok to do because they used Vauxhall glue. These people down there are a bunch of cowboys & aren't interested if you spend £24, 000 on a car. In fact we were told if we wanted a car with no problem go to BMW or Mercedes. What a great advert for vauxhall - NOT.

I've had the same service issues with Archie moss in coalville, leicestershire, , after getting the money for the car they seem totally uninterested in any complaints, , , I've had starting issues, pulling when braking, intermittent electronic faults like the stop start activating during braking when going over pot holes, a very slow to clear heated rear screen, the fuel tank banging when full, and within a month of having this brand new top of the range car, , the rear reflector just fell off, , when approaching the dealership i was met with distrust and disbelief, this car has been back and forth more times in 6 months than the 52 plate fiat punto i traded in did over a year, , i sympathise with you completely, , if you involve vauxhall customer services directly, , they seem to take more notice, i also would never recommend vauxhall or Archie moss in coalville

Vauxhall Motors my vehicle insignia

iv got a car on mobility as i have a disabled son, and decided after many years with vw, id have a change.i went to drive vauxhall bristol, and decided on a vauxhall insignia.it seemed a good reliable car.about two weeks ago i was driving through our local town centre and suddenly a complete stranger came running along side my car and told me the underneath of my car was on fire.myself, my daughter and friend jumped out of the vehicle, and running around panicked i rung the fire dept, which responded immediately.also the security staff in the shopping complex were out before that and put the fire out for me, im so grateful. after an hour the rac came and took a look at the car, and said the tray underneath had caught fire and melted the metal. The vehicle then went back to the car dealers where id got it and after a couple of days they rung me saying it was my fault, i was in disbelief!, omg, im not a fast or dodgy driver and they said id gone over something that had sparked off and caused the fire.luckily none of us were hurt but now terrified to drive the vehicle.im hopefully going to change the car and will be writing a strong letter to complain to the boss of vauxhall

Dear Sirs
Re Vauxhall Sport Car
I purchased this car from new and as you can see from the car history file i have had nothing but trouble from the moment i drove the car out of the showroom
I have tried to open the sun roof 4 times and the car has had to be returned to the garage for repairs on all 4 occasion's I purchased-This car with a warranty
The defect occurred within the warranty period time and more seriously the original defect has never been satisfactorily repaired.
The definition of a satisfactory repair is very simple the repair results in elimination of the problem regarding the opening and closing of the roof.
You can clearly see from the cars repair history that Vauxhall has spectacularly failed to undertake a satisfactory repair and to have the audacity to assert that I should now be responsible for your negligence is going to lead to an action in the county court
I have sought legal advice and I am happy to issue proceeding again you for breach of warranty. My county court claim will also be for other losses and inconvenience cased as a result of your company's negligence. These additional costs will far exceed the actual cost of you effecting the repair under the true interpretation of your warranty clause.
Please either confirm that you will repair the car free of charge or advice me of your solicitors to effect service of county court proceedings
Yours faithfully
Maxine Jennings

Since I seek-ed legal Advice from my Lawyer yesterday I've since spoken to A member of your staff who has advised me you are not willing to resolve this very upsetting problem it has and is causing me especially when Ive been a very longstanding loyal customer with yourselves over the last 9yrs have been left with no other Alternative but to pay £156.00 To get a unresolved long occurring unfixed Car I purchased from yourselves with total trust that the car would be Worthy in all aspect's and full working order told and sold to myself when you sold me the car.As I lost my husband in a car accident 4yrs ago and have no other means of paying in full for the repair to be taken out and no other-way of collecting my car as i have small children who i would have to walk 1.6mile with me just to get out of my estate just to get a bus due to having no other Vehicle given to myself as an alternative without paying a fee of 10Pd's per day which may not be allot to you but to me and my children It is which has left us all very upset over the last 4days unable to fo anywhere I am fully comp Insured already which costs a great deal already an feel i should have to pay again to receive a courtesy car whilst you investigate a very unworthy unreliable vehicle you sold me.
I would Appreciate my car now returned to myself due to having no other way of collecting as explained above... I have been advised to pay you the £156.00 you are asking for just to return my unfixed vehicle, by my solicitor citizens Advice and also the Liverpool Echo when I also asked them for Advise who are waiting for my reply . ...I Apologise for having no other way apart from paying you this amount in full by cheque only, due to me already explaining my bag and purse which i thought were in my boot are in my mums office from were i work from is in North Wales which i cant get to without my vehicle which is causing me financial difficulty as its were i work from as a self employed Accountant which im loseing pay for everyday you have my car..

I would like to Add although this is causeing a large amount of undue stress and emotional upset due to loss of earnings ..I can only add that your receptionists janet, doriane and whoever else i may have spoken to have been very professional and helpful with full understanding of this matter which has kept me together at moments when ive broke into tears on numerous times regarding this vehicle.pl, ease thank them on my behalf.
I Await your reply in Anticipation of when my car will be returned so i can go and get this resolved with my lawyer.

Thankyou Mrs M Jennings

I have also waited for my vehicle after being told they would do there best to bring my car back to me as i have no other way of collecting my car due to me having 3children ..I managed to borrow the amount of money evans vauxhall dealers have asked for just to investigate the problem due to them not accepting a cheque which is covered by my bank for the 1st £250.00..When i rand back to see how long my car would be they told me they never agreed to returning car today as they have no one available to bring it back and denied adviseing me of this in the first istant basically calling me a Liar..please read all notes above regards and thankyou maxine jennings

We purchased a luxury vauxhall asta convertible twintop which we remorgaged our house for. Our luxury, expensive car has had the roof stuck midway and returned on 3 further occasions with a leaking roof, The car is 2009 plate so that makes it less than every year the roof leaks. why has this company allowed to get away with selling defactive cars, expensive defective cars. and what do they intend to do about it. we are prepared to go through watchdog which i am sure they would not want as the new convertible is coming out very shortly. thank you mr and mrs Allen.33wilfred owen drive, claughton, birkenhead, ch41 0ha

I had bought a vauxhall Meriva 2007 in October 2011 with mile of 20000. After few month the dash board indicates EPS> I took my car in dealer's workshop and left my car for two days and they told me that, they could not find out the complaint and charged me £ 60. I went to the dealer again after few days with the same complaints then I was told to leave my car again for three days and which will be costing examination charges. I contacted Vauxhall company and they told me to take the car to the dealer workshop again but did not because I don't pay them again with our doing any thing. i took my car to few other workshops and they advised me it can be because of the faulty in the power steering motor and replacing the motor is very expensive. Now I had several dangerous situations the the power steering stuck and feel heavy while turning and feel vibrating the steering. I don't know what to do. Is the company recall it rectify the defect.

Vauxhall Motors faulty car

I purchased a brand new Corsa SXi 1.4 from Sherwoods, Stockton on Tees, Cleveland on 1/12/07. It is the worst car I have ever had re performance and design but I expected it to at least be reliable.

To date is has broken down completely on 3 separate occasions and the AA have been called for assistance. The second occasion it broke down in December 08 was 2 days after a 2 day full service. At that time they kept it for approximately 1 week - I was given a courtesy car on that occasion. The third occasionwas on 19 January 2009, a few weeks after the previous occasion, it broke down completely yet again. The car was towed by the AA to the Vauxhall garage in Northallerton and from there it was taken to Sherwoods at Darlington - I live in Yarm.

The following day I was told Sherwoods at Stockton on Tees had no courtesy cars. They couldn't repair the fault so I lost a days wages. Later that day they said I could have a rented car from Enterprise but I had to wait for someone to return a car later that day. I was asked to pay a £50 deposit which I would be returned when I returned the car. Then they advised me to pay £10 per day as an insurance against stratches etc to the car as if they found any damage I could end up paying a substantial amount so I felt I had no alternative but to agree to pay this. I was then informed they'd made a mistake and I only had to pay £5 a day.

It is now 22 February and my car has still not been returned to me. In the meantime, Sherwoods advised me to stop paying the £5 per day to the car rental company and owing to the length of time I've had the car, I stopped paying this amount as it was getting to expensive.

I have sent a complaint to Sherwoods at both Stockton and Darlington branch plus the Head Office of Vauxhall. I did eventually receive an acknowledgement of my complaint from Sherwoods at Darlington and a phone message from someone at Sherwoods at Darlington asking me to ring him and that they would try and resolve the matter. I rang the person concerned on 3 occasions but he hasn't had the courtesy to return my call re the complaint. My main grievance is that the car is totally unreliable and I've lost confidence in it altogether. I feel that I shouldn't have to incur expenses for an alternative vehicle when my own car has problems due to no fault of my own (up to now I've paid over £90 to Enterprise for the rented car which they debited direct from my credit card). It was only when I received my credit card bill that I noticed the amount which Enterprise had debited. It does mention in the small print on the agreement that they will do this, so advice to other people renting a car from Enterprise - read the small print.

The car was purchased at Sherwoods in Stockton and no one from the company has acknowledged my complaint. I feel the service is appalling. I am paying over £200 a month for my own car which has been off the road now for nearly 5 weeks and a full week prior to that. I feel that I certainly shouldn't have to pay anything for an alternative vehicle when the car is faulty.

After this experience I certainly wouldn't have another vehicle from Vauxhall and wouldn't advise anyone to purchase a Corsa SXi 1.4.

Vauxhall Motors awful service

When my Vauxhall Corsa cdti broke down over the bank holiday Easter Weekend, I thought the quickest and easiest way to get the problem diagnosed and fixed would be to take it to a main dealer Vauxhall garage. So I arranged for it to be booked in to Evans Halshaw in Plymouth (the main dealer Vauxhall garage) What a huge mistake, over a 3 and a half week period, I had to constantly ring for an update on my car, and time after time I was fobbed off. I was told "Ill find someone who knows about your car and ill call you back" Yet no-one ever called back, or I would be told "We have ordered a new part and it will be here in 3 days" 3 days! They are a main dealer garage! Even when they fitted this new part (which I was never even told what it was) my car still wouldnt start! After 3 and a half weeks and continuous phone calls and getting no where, I had finally had enough and I put my foot down and demanded to know what was going on! I was told by an extremelly rude lady on the phone that basically they had no idea what was wrong with my car and that they didnt know what to do next! Unbelievable! I have a Vauxhall car and I took it to a Vauxhall! I Had finally had enough and I arranged to have my car taken away! When I collected my car, again I was met by extremelly rude receptionists, and they had the cheek to charge me £156.00! When they found nothing! The part that they fitted had been removed as it had no use, and I have no proof that they even carried out any diagnostic work! It was disgusting service and I would advise everybody to steer well clear of there! Absoutley awful experience I had and I never wish to repeat! And what is most laughable of all, once my car was out of Vauxhall my partner had a look at my car under the bonnet, and he checked all of the easy to reach and most common sensors, and even to the untrained eye you could see that a sensor was damaged! A new sensor cost me less than £50! Unreal! My car is now fixed and no thanks to Vauxhall!

Vauxhall Motors rude service

The people here are extremly rude and only care about the super rich customers - my partner was put on hold after phoning up to enquire about a part for my vauxhall. The girl didnt put him on hold properly an my partner heard her telling someone else that the guy on the fone is on drugs, when they realised what had happened they put the phone down. Since then we have had numerous attempts to speak to a manager but no one is interested about their obvious incapable and silly staff.

the girl on the phone is called sally (parts dept)
the first guy we tried to complain to is called tony fisher
the third guy is called cliff adams

tony fisher tried fobbing us off with ''well its just one of those things''
cliff adams told me i was over reacting
All we wanted was a sorry - but it seems we wont be getting one.

Vauxhall Motors non arrival of part for corsa

I purchased my Vauxhall Corsa Club 1.3 diesel in December 2009, it is an 08 plate. The heater stopped working properly in November, and as the car is still under warranty, i booked it into Peter Vardy, Perth on 1st December 2010 for repair. I have been in constant contact with P Vardy as the part required to fix my car has still not been delivered. The garage state their hands are tied as the part is coming direct from Vauxhall and not through their normal parts ordering department. The garage state they are constantly chasing this up but do not seem to be getting anywhere. Surely they should know where the part is coming from. The part required is a Control Unit S-10690. That is 6 weeks now i have had to rely on using my friends car, even though P Vardy did offer me a hire car, this was returned as it had a £500 excess attached to it. I wasn't offered a courtesy car as they were all booked out. I am now, very frustrated, and extremely annoyed that there is no one taking resposnbility for me as a customer, and there is no estimated date when i can expect to get my car back. Surely Vauxhall have to compensate me for this massive inconveniece!

Vauxhall Motors moral values

I recently went to buy a Vauxhall car having owned one for 7 years, with their partners scheme everyone is a winner on price you either pay £13000 in the scheme or £21000 if a fool.
I was offerred a Partner discount by a friend who said he would be my brother in law, another colleague got all these discounts because the dealerships falsify the papers.
I now find I need to ask my friend to lie on my behalf or pay an extra £8000 to be honest, am I a fool or Vauxhall the devils advocate promoting fraud on a massive scale, the result is honest people like me are either ripped off or live with the guilt.
[censored] hurts but I will have to buy another vehicle other than Vauxhall so much for being honest when the world demands we be otherwise.

Vauxhall Motors omgoing problems

I bought my car brand new in October 2008. When I first purchased it, they mis-sold me the wrong car so then offered a different spec which is what I have had since- 1.3cdti sxi.

Since day one the car has been backwards and forwards to Bristol Street for numerous repairs and work. These are as follows (not necessarily in order)
- new window seals
- new door straps
- new air vent
- new passenger seat
- some bodywork- strips around the door were peeling
- repair to driver door latch, as door was not closing properly
- tyres are extremely worn, one has had to be replaced (even though I have only done 12000 miles in 2yr?)
- concerns over fuel consumption
- and now recently the car has developed a terrible rattle underneath the car, which now needs looking at

Before I got this car I always had corsa and even recommended friends and family to buy one, which they subsequently did. However I have lost all faith in the Corsa following my experience with this car. I have contacted both Vauxhall and Trading Standards previously but have not had any satisfaction in trying to resolve this matter. Is there anything I can do to take this further? Surely there should not be as many problems as this with a new car?

Vauxhall Motors corsa caliper seal/breaks

I have had a major dispute with Vauxhall Peter Vardy in Perth. I have found their staff extremely rude and sarcastic and the customer care disgusting - I was actually lost for words.

My car went in for a Service at a local garage on Monday. The brakes had felt strange for a while. The garage found that the Caliper Seal had popped out which caused the RHS break to seize on so the pads & discs required replacing. The garage (whom I've used for a long time and trust totally) had popped the seal back into place (which went back in with no problems/damage) and said everything was fine except the break pads/discs and gave a price to fix.

As the seal should not have come out I contacted Vauxhall who booked the car in saying "I would not incurr a charge whilst it was under warranty" my understanding of this statement was that this meant the car.

Vauxhall phoned to say the seal was 'ripped off and missing' and as it was damage caused by a 'person' working on the car (I was initially told it could have been caused by a stone coming up under the car) and the car had been looked at elsewhere that they could not cover this under warranty.

I went back and fourth between the original garage & Vauxhall numerous times and what Vauxhall were telling me didn't make sense. They were argumentative and rude in every dealing I had.

I was then told that I had to pay for them looking at the car. When I said I was reluctant, I was told that my car 'would not be released until payment had been made' and in a very unfriendly manner.

I requested full details of what was wrong and price for fixing. They advised that the caliper was corroded as water had been getting in due to the disintegration of the seal (which now they said was not torn off and lost!) The said I needed a new caliper at a cost of over £200 and break pads/discs at over £180.

I collected the car paying by cheque which I've promptly cancelled until I take this further. I put the car back into 1st trustworthy garage and they have sent pictures and advised that it is only the very edge of the seal which is damaged and there is no water etc getting in. The caliper is working fully (although there is a slight bit of corrosion) and does not require replaced. They have replaced the discs and pads but have advised to keep an eye on the seal as still unsure why it was out in the 1st place.

I will take this further, however, do not hold out any hope. I did contact Vauxhall Customer Services, but was advised that she would have to take "the Vauxhall garage's techincal report" so I am at a loss as to what 'service' they provide customers if they are simply reiterating the garages story which customers are unhappy with?

One thing I do know - I will never go to Vauxhall Peter Vardy in Perth ever again and I think this will be my last Vauxhall car. Honda sorted my Air Con in my previous car, without a 2nd thought, when the warranty had expired.

They are a nightmare! I have no understanding of cars but it certainly sounds like the things listed would not have suddenly appeared from nowhere in 11 months and not normal 11 month wear and tear! I have since (my original post) sold the Vauxhall corsa and bought a mini. Have received 1st class service and beyond from BMW and not at a cost either. The Mini Cherish which came with the car covered all work required at it's 1st trip back to the garage...I'm very impressed. If I were you I'd take it to another garage - perhaps a small local one with good reputation to assess what's wrong and cost repairs (I used Eric Shepherd out Stormont Road, Bridge End Perth - he's really good and honest and takes time to source reasonably priced parts etc). I sadly got nowhere with trying to pursue my Vauxhall issues or addressing the terrible customer service (still not experience anyone as rude as the staff I had to deal with there) however, I had no Vauxhall warranty on car so hopefully you'll have more luck...

I am having the same problem with the above garage was bought 11 months ago and I was advised to take the extra warranty which I was told would cover ever thatching mechanical except the tyres, wipers as they were wear and tear.
So the car went yesterday to Peter Vardy Perth for service and Mot and to our horror they told us that it would cost £1500 to put right .
We only bought the car 11 months ago a Astra for £5500 with only 37, 000 miles on the clock there is no way that the deffects they say the car has happened in 11 months.
Mot failed because of the wheel bearing. That's the only thing it failed on. But the other things that they noticed that were in the amber or red stages were axle bush worn and separated from plate. Corroded front discs. Rear pads 40% is only left. Rear brake pipes starting to rust. Flexi pipe leaking. Rocker cover gasket leaking and rear tyres castellated and worn on edges .
Can someone tell me were we stand I think they are at it, this is not right is there anything we can do?

Vauxhall Motors diesel pump and particulate filter

Vauxhall Zaphira redg 15/12/2006 my car has now been off the road for 7 weeks awaiting parts from Vauxhall Germany apparently. The car broke down and was towed to Victoria Garage in Leigh Lanc's . I bought this vehicle from HPL Motors Bolton Road Atherton it's a 56 redg top of the range diesel 1.9 car, there is only 40000 miles on the clock I bought it to travel to appointments at Wythenshaw cancer hospital were I have to go for treatment for Lung cancer I wanted a good reliable car for the journey. I have had diesel cars for quite a few years now and have never had problems some of the cars were up to 150k miles. Victoria garage phoned me to say that the diesel pump had gone and would cost about £800 this was a shock as the car was only just out of warranty, not as much of a shock as when they phoned back a couple of days later to say they had done further diagnosis and found that the Particulate filter needed to be replaced also and the job would now cost in the region of £1900 this seems very expensive for a car of it's age and condition. On top of this they tell me they have to get the parts from Germany and I would have to wait 8 weeks for there delivery. Has anyone got any help or advice about these problems Has Vauxhall had a bad batch of parts Any Ideas
