Variety Wholesalers Manager

I've witnessed and have 3 other people whom have witnessed a manager from reidsville ga store give products away for free scan one slide one, she has tried to slide me a few things and I refused, she has came in drinking, she cusses very loudly and calls her cashiers [censored]es.. She makes her pill deals at this store, I can provide a name and when he came in the store for her several times again 2 other witnesses on that.. I've seen her eat candy bars and chips not paid for... Just email me and i'll send names!

Variety Wholesalers The entire store

I'm an avid shopper at these stores, however I am sick and tired of them looking like a pig stye. Merchandise on the floors, shopping racks cluttered, floors dirty, just total caios! We have 3 locations in the Columbus, Ohio area and all of them look unprofessional. Actually, a Total mess! You wouldnt know that the merchandise is new by the way the store looks, worst than a thrift store. It appears that your store managers nor sales personnel, take pride or show any professionalism in their jobs. It also appears that this company only cares about money not customers! Especially since your stores are located in the low income areas. It's a shame! Unfortunately for you, I will not be shopping at your stores and will make sure my family, friends and acquaintances do the same!

Variety Wholesalers Toilet seat broke do to a defect

I bought a toilet seat from Roses on Busch Blvd here in Fl. store number on the receipt is 0. I got it on 3/21/2021 at 12:18 in the afternoon. Put it on and it broke with in hours the hinges snap off my husband said it look like a defeat on the seat because they snap off. I return this morning at 9:30 am and the refuse to refund my money or give me another seat. The reason is that it was open and use. Will how else are you going to use a toilet seat. I believe your customer service is outline on this. Something needs to be done. I know this country going thru a lot, but something get a little crazy. I am on a fix income and this is not right.

Variety Wholesalers Cookie tin

I called and talked with the mgr of the store at the Dothan location she said she couldn't refund the cookies because it was food, I want to know where on the receipt where it's says I came to get a refund. I talked with a lady from corporate on 3-9, she told me she was gone to fix the issue but didn't hear back from her. I called the store today 3-10-21 and the mgr say when Corp tell her to refund the cookies then she will, I'm trying to see why can't I get my money back from the cookies there in a Tin can and they leave a bitter taste in your mouth when u eat them. Variety Wholesalers Scheduling

The following week schedule has never done on time then when you call to get the schedule the managers have no clue as to what it is so therefore you don't know what hours you're supposed to work it's hard working and having a home life knowing what you're doing from day today the people in the stores are very very rude a lot of people get away with everything and the ones that are working make one mistake and are made an example of I would not recommend working in those stores unless you're willing to hear drama and never know your work schedule and have no outside life

Variety Wholesalers Bathroom refusal

We are elderly people. We drove 26 miles to shop at MaxWay in St. Martinville, La. Upon arrival at the store my wife and I both needed to use the rest-room.
We inquired about the location of their bathrooms, and was informed that there was no public use of their bathrooms. We were both too un-comfortable to shop, considering our bladders were full. As we were leaving, one of the employee's was heard saying, "they only came here to use the bath-room. First of all, all business's have to provide rest-room availability to their customers. It is against the law not to facilitate for customers. My wife like to shop at MaxWay in St Martinville. It is a long drive for us. Honestly, the staff their weren't very friendly.

Variety Wholesalers Discrimination

Hey my name is valerie clay, i'm a assistant manager at store 693. I'm reaching out regarding a transfer that I had no knowledge of nor never ask if I will transfer. Was told on friday 1-22-21 from my district manager and store manager that I was transferring to store 660per human resources and per illegal and she gave me a card saying if I have any questions call mr. Fraizer which karen told me he was human resource spoke with him on monday 1-18-21 I stated karen told me if I had any questions about the transfer call you and I ask him why was I being transfer his response was I requested to be transferred I told I never ask for a transfer so what do I need to do? Is it because of the complaints I reported regarding discrimination racism and retaliation I been reporting. Every time I inform the district manager (karen) nothing happen she stated that she her for her manger (terri) I feel that this transfer is clearly retaliation shouldn't nobody be treated the way they treat me and other black african american that work their if you speak up it's a bigger problem there (karen and terri) words when ask what to do is just shut up and don't say nothing every complaint terri get she automatically accuse me are she will say I know them because their black (I don't know every black person that comes in the store) i'm reaching out hoping that you y'all could help me in some way. I like working at store 693 I do the best I can my work skill is above average I have reach out to my district manager about the matter no reply i'm sorry she don't like me because of how I was created I can't change that thanks for your time valerie clay 1-27-21

I totally agree having this same issue at Henderson NC location. I believe EVERYONE SHOULD BE TREATED EQUAL AND FAIR REGARDLESS OF THE COLOR OF YOUR SKIN. Extremely poor management/leadership

Variety Wholesalers Discrimination

Discrimination against old people with health issues by a retail chain is unacceptable !
Despite the Official Mandate issued by NCDHHS, dated Nov. 23 2020 which has not changed and., can be read at the following link

I was told ' you can't be in here without a mask' at the Rose's store located in Dunn N.C. because I was not wearing a Mask and when I produced a copy of the "Official Mandate" for the state of N.C. on my phone that clearly shows a list of "Medical exceptions" on page 2 of the North Carolina Mandate It was ignored and I was told "THE Governor" said I couldn't be in the store without a mask my wife, (who was wearing a mask) and I simply left the store. Discrimination against old people with health issues is unacceptable

Variety Wholesalers No mask compliance

There were at least 6 employees with no masks in the Dabney Drive Henderson NC store today [protected] at 3:15-3:45 When asked they said they were hot, skin broke out, ect. There is a sign that says masks are required. Im sick of Stupidity and will not be back . My wife and I do not feel safe in Roses. Its stupidity that is keeping this virous around!

Amen to that...its not limited to Henderson;many stores in the south from NC to LA (visited recently ) still are doing stupid. Don't wish negative health on anyone but management allows this ultimately. Shame on stupidity I agree..

Variety Wholesalers Service

I visited your Maxway Store in Bennettsville, SC today, September 23, 2020. The cashier's name is Renekia. She was very rude. The price tag wouldn't scan so she had to go get another price tag. She grunted as though she didn't want to do it. She never greeted us nor thanked us for going there. If she didn't want to check us out, she should stay home. I have never experience that kind of attitude when entering this store before.

Variety Wholesalers Masks

I went to the Roses in Conway, S.C. on Church Street. On the doors it says you need a mask to shop. O.K. no problem. When I went in not a single employee had a mask on. If they don't need to wear one why do I. I saw at least five employees walking around in the store. I just wanted to know if a mask is optional they should take the sign off of the doors.

Variety Wholesalers Manager is racist and degrading to her employees

I witnessed the manager, Natalie tell an employee who had just got her haircut that "she don't look strung out anymore " the employees feelings were obviously hurt but she didn't say anything. Sadly, the employee she said that too is the only one I ever see working her tail off every time I go there. This was at the roses in Roanoke rapids NC on Julian allsbrook highway. Also, a friend of mine was only 16 an Caucasian, put in an application. The manager riped it up an said they don't hire anyone under 18. About a month later, there was a black boy in there working and he was only 17 years old. The customer service manager is rude, doesn't want to do nothing but stand around and talk. The cashiers are always off doing something else besides running the register. There is always gossiping from the managers about their employees in front of customers.

Hey my name is prince marquan full When I first started working at maxway everything was fine ms Mabel was the head manager for the first month of me working her and Tina showed me how to stock the store the right way and work on the register than one day me Mabel told me to meet the head manager Karl since he was back working I didn't like him because he talked to me and a few coworker like we was children and me Mabel seen how he talked to us and told him he can't talk to us any kind a way treat us like the growing working men that's new to the job trying to do the best we can but after ms mabel left and went back to the other store after we finished inventory it was just Karl and he haven't been the best manager he told me he should've fired all of us when he came back to work he assum we quit when we don't come to work on our off days he will not have me on the schedule but want me to come in whenever he calls I haven't worked since last Wednesday but text me a day before a truck and told me wat time to come and he'll see me than I told him I had stuff to do in the morning and he had said a smart remark I only worked 10 days in the past 4 and he wants me to put my life to the side just to come work when he call when he don't put me on schedule we work according to schedule not calls my aunty that worked at cash America warned me about how he treat people because he was her manager when he manager at cash America what her do is not right when I on schedule i come to work on time I do everything they want me to do I'm a hard worker and don't deserve to be treated like a child or someone u only call to work when needed

Variety Wholesalers toy purchase

I visited Roses in Brunswick, GA and the manager would not honor the price on toy. It rang up for a different amount. When asked if they could honor it she was very rude and said no. It was a small Toy and I felt she could have been nicer and honored the price tag on toy. It was not my mistake. I still purchased toy but was unhappy with customer service provided. The manager Donna at store #614 needs lessons on customer service. This was an inconvenience to me. I am attaching pictures of the toy itself and my receipt of purchase.

I had the similar problem at Roses in Laurens sc there was price on top of some headphones when get to the register it rung up a different price so I told the cashier name Barbara about it she said couldn't give it to me for the price that was over it so I asked for the manager and the manager said technically she couldn't give it to me for that price there was no price on the headphones so I'm thinking since their was more than one that was the price that over it there no other price there

Variety Wholesalers management

I worked at store 1239 in North wilkesboro for 4 years and I was recently fired for leaving a cashier alone for 30 minutes til the other keyholder came in I left at 300 and the other key holder was coming in at 3:30 That's what I thought my manager said. The schedule was never sent til I was gone it was sent at 3:36 to my phone and she said she told me 3:30 she said 3. Just the day before she told me to leave at 230. Any way I was fired for something she does and if I was fired for it so should she have been. And why are you hiring an assistant manager that was fired from burger king for stealing Bonita hall. I loved my job and my customers loved me.

Variety Wholesalers front manager

Went into the store and was shopping it was 815 pm and I had a buggy full of stuff to buy. Well lost track of time and they came over speaker and said they close in 5 min. Well I was in the dressing room so I was trying to hurry and get dressed so I can check out. Well when I was coming out the manger said roses is closed now bring items to front. So I did. And the cashier started to check me out . While the manager was standing there complaing the whole time saying this is why they get out so late. And maybe next time I should come a little earlier because now there going to be over in time and leaving. Well I spent over 150.00 so I'm sorry if I was wasting y'all time. The store was dirty Hardly nothing on shelves. And asked several times about a price. And the manager said I could go up front and ask for the cashier to scan it. I asked for the store manager and they said she was out and that she was in charge for now. And that she couldn't keep checking prices when there trying to clean up for the night and the scan price gun was in back. Since the end of January this store has gone down. I won't be back.

Variety Wholesalers interview

Yes I was Told to meet with the Store Manager of Lumberton for an interview for Assistant Manager job. I was there at 20 mins before my interview. Went in asked for the manager they have me a paper to fill out said he would speak with me after. Filled it out took it to the front waited and waited for him to come never showed. Was told he would reschedule the interview. I waited almost a hour for nothing I don't like to waste my time and I wouldn't waste anyone else time. But they said he left because I was 5 mins late when I was 20 mins earlier. You will never find good help with [censored] like that running your store no wonder line is always backed up and the food section is out of date. Lumberton Nc store needs to do better thank you.

Variety Wholesalers bad customer service

I came in one day to do some school shopping for my kids. I needed a fitting room for the kids to try on some clothes the manager Ms. Sarena was in the office (which is not a completly closed in room) right next to the fitting room where she could see that we needed assistance but I knocked on the door anyway she completely ignored me but opened the door for the assistant manager who later open the fitting room for me.This happened here at the Roses store in Bainbridge Ga. I have not been back in there since and don't plan on going back any time soon.How could you manage a store where customer service being the number one priority and be completely rude. This store needs new management.

Variety Wholesalers lynn the manager

This complaint is in reference to Lynn the manager at the Rose Express in Manning South Carolina when has been very disrespectful and very rude and she is slandering people's name she slandered a child's name by saying the child stole out the store and she made the comment that get out of her store she doesn't need proof or anything she if she feels that you're stealing she can tell you to get her store and I don't feel like that's right it cuz that's slander especially when you in a small town you're hollering to a child in front of other people entering and exiting the store hollering that their a thief and get out of your store Lynn has been very disrespectful and rude as well as Ruth that works there has also been very disrespectful and rude this is been going on for years Lynn hires who she wants to which is normally family and friends not good potential people that need jobs she only looks out for her friends and family have been like that over the years and I hate when a job has people there that feel like they been there so long so they can do what they want and there's no consequences for their actions and they treat people like trash and they are disrespectful to people and slander their names and treat them really bad especially children and their adults not behaving as adults because they feel like they are more than anybody else because they are a manager at the store and Lynn has been doing that for years she does what she wants and treats people how she wants. she's very disrespectful to people even children and adults as well and she doesn't care because she's feel nothing going to happen to them.
