Valley Veterinary Clinic / refuses to refund money for services not rendered

1 United States Review updated:
Contact information:

In April we took our new puppy to Scott's Valley Veterinary Clinic, Inc. and prepaid a puppy package. Later the puppy's original owners demanded her back, and sadly she was relinquished. When we contacted SVVC to refund the puppy package, (146.00) we were told it is nonrefundable and nontransferable. Of course, they provided a promotional flier that shows this written in small print at the bottom. This was never disclosed to us, nor did we, to our knowledge agree to these terms, nor could we have foreseen the loss of the puppy.

Because we paid for the package on our credit card, I'm stuck with the bill, and the interest, and have no dog to show for it. We're simply asking for the refund of the portion of the package that was not rendered.

I just found this posting today and am shocked.

Responding to above compaint, this complaint is completely unfair it was resolved as soon as it came to the attention of the Office Manager and Accounts Receivable Manager. When this particular client left a message regarding the return of the pet, the Scotts Valley Veterinary Clinic accounts receivable manager called the client offered a refund by check or a credit to her account at the Scotts Valley Veterinary Clinic for future use with another pet on the unused portion of the package. The client elected to keep a credit at our hospital. With the client choosing to keep a credit with us, this is proof that she is happy with our veterinarians, our staff and the service we proudly provide. I am shocked that this letter is posted here and should be removed.
