Fraud! Bells, Red Flags, and Sirens should go off when entering a 3 year contract, which is the statue of limitations to sue a company, with Valenti International who will only give you 2 to 3 matches max per year. Personalized Service! Not So...the live coaching and feedback is not existent. All feedback after introduction has to be submitted online, no exceptions. Also, the feedback you receive about you is 2 to 3 lines long and nothing concrete. When calling in to speak to one of the psychologists they questions why? Their Cocierge Experience is nothing but an expensive version of "It is Just Lunch" since they only set up the date/location/time for dinner and you are responsible for the traveling arrangements and for hoping your date doesn't have any travel delays or you will be stuck with big and expensive dissapointments since more than likely you also traveled as well. My advice, do your homework, and research their competitors who more than likely will give you better service and far more introductions. I would like to hear more complaints and for any lawyer who wants to start a class law suit. There are previous law suits lost by Valenti International, I just wished I would have read them first because not only would I have saved money but the emotional stress to be after Valenti staff to do and honor their contract.

Hi. I was a client of "Valenti" several years ago. I paid thousands of dollars to meet drunks and married men who were looking to have affairs. After horrible intros by Valenti where I was made to fly to the men at my own expense, I wrote them off as a waste after my experience and decided not to look back. Now a few years later, I was recently approached for more money again and asking if I am still single, by members of the "new team". I had forgotten about them but the fact that they would contact me several years later and be looking for money is so insulting. You don't get what you pay for here. Please keep your money and join a gym or donate to a charity. Valenti preys on people's emotions. If you have gone through a bad breakup - at least go get some real therapy before you join. Trust me you probably will decide against it. They are desperate money grabbers who don't have your best interests in mind. Just their bank accounts. Save your money.

Hello,
Thank you all for your comments...WOW...I saw their ad in Robb reports. So I got enthusiastic about the service and wrote them an email on the weekend asking if I'm qualified (I'm not American) and how much do they charge? What's exactly their fees prior filling in the application and wasting my time and theirs. In other words, let's get to the bottom line.
I got a response beautifully worded saying in order to know about them I have to fill in the application and they have to learn about me FIRST! Therefore, I got the idea of browsing their reputation and thank you to all your comments for saving my money. If you are rich doesn't mean you don't work hard for it.

Nadine, I am so glad that you are here to vouch that Irene is full of crap! Nadine is truly an inside person with a great deal of knowledge on Irene and her scam business. It is true, she cashes her clients checks to pay for her lavish lifestyle, and cars etc. I often follow these complaint boards hoping this disgraceful business will have gone under. My heart is sad for the numerous victims Irene has scammed! I can almost guarantee the the so called happy customers are in fact her son Steve or another employee.

Hello people. There is place called the world where it's free to go out and find people. If you need a dating service, then that's your problem. Yah, you may be a CEO and work to much or lost your game, but a sucker is born every second so take the blame. I know a person that is a matchmaker. All they do is match you up statistically. I mean come on, don't you think everyone wants the same thing. Cute, compassion, money, sex, marriage...come on people! You're not unique in what you want. They can have only so many "perfect" people in their database. Once there snatched you're left with the bottom of the barrel. So quite wasting 100k on a sucker service and travel Europe or something

I have been a client and also had a 3 year contract with Valenti. I paid $100, 000. and got 6 very bad introductions. (Irene out of the goodness of her heart extended my contract for free) Irene will promise the moon to get your money... i also did some consulting work for Irene in New York and Philadelphia I know exactly how her operation works. she gets your financial information and that's what makes her decision on what to charge.. I had interviewed one particular women in Philadelphia as a potential client for Valenti, Irene called her directly and asked for $625, 000.00. Happy to say this very beautiful intelligent women hung up on her. She has no rhyme or reason on her fee schedule, except how much money you have and your net worth..PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT GIVE VALENTI INTERNATIONAL YOUR MONEY...
I am available to anyone who wants to call me for additional information. I have e-mails, messages and text directly from Irene with broken empty promises...she will say anything to keep you on the hook and off the Internet to inform people and let them know exactly what they are. Do not buy into her New Press Release...If you look through the blogs you will see many many dissatisfied clients.
MY NUMBER TO REACH ME DURING THE DAY IS [protected] ask for Nadine.. I have plenty more stories if you are interested on Valenti International and Irene Valenti...

I completely agree with the complaints about Valenti. I paid a small fortune for their service January 2011. After 4 months of asking when I would meet someone, they finally introduced me to a man who had never been married and told me he would never marry. I had stated I was looking for a relationship to eventually lead to possible marriage. Aside from that, we had absolutely nothing in common. Why they interviewed me at all to learn about me was just part of their ruse.

After ANOTHER 4 months, and several inquiring emails later, they set me up with a man who told me he wasn't even a client of there's any longer. They just dragged him out to fulfill their contractual obligations. He was nice to be honest with me at least.

I was furious, and of course relayed this to Valenti (via email since they don't deal with you any other way). They denied that they did that, and they haven't contacted me since.

If there's a class action against them. I'm interested in talking with the lawyer.

I watched the video at : http://www.nbcsandiego.com/video/#!/news/local/Singles-Fail-to-Find-Love--Sue-Matchmaker/139312813
and I was horrified by the "former employee" Dr. Stacey Hoyt. Is it ethical for a clinical psychologist to participate in such a scam and have the audacity to blame the victims ? Just wondering ... Does anyone know the opinion of the California Board of Psychology on this one? After all Valenti International claims they are different because they use clinical psychologists in their matchmaking in European style! How bombastic this sounds!

I agree that the "satisfied clients" probably work for Valenti. I never saw ONE good thing about them in all my research, except for themselves patting themselves in the back. I would recommend Match.com. They are the most well established. Stay away from Millionairematch.com as they are full of 419 scammer (Nigerian scammers with false photos). Stay away from Chemistry.com (they promise the moon and they do not know what they are doing). Even worse and second only to Valenti is E-Harmony. They make you waste immense amounts of time and money and all they have is losers in my opinion.

Forget the BBB. They cannot get your money back. See lawsuit which Valenti appealed and lost and had to pay damages to 3 people. Maybe this is the only way for you to get your money back and maybe you want to cite this case as a "legal precedent" so your attorney can use it to sue them or even start a class action since there seem to be so many people scammed. Or contact the law firm who sued Valenti and won so successfully! Thank you for posting this. I researched courts and found this before I gave them $$. Scroll down to see Judge's decision(s):

Valenti is NOTHING BUT A FRAUDULENT SCAM... we now have a lawyer in San Diego... do not give thsi &%#@* any $$$$$$$$... RUN RUN RUN
I have heard from a number of ladies, no men, so does this not tell you something about this SCAM artist, who have been taken by this FRAUDULENT company that there were NO men to begin with...
so why don't we all get together and do a class action... I hired a lawyer in Toronto, where I am from, but he could not take the case because she is a registered company in Nevada so we will have to find someone in Nevada. I have the name of her lawyer.
So if anyone is interested and lives or knows a lawyer who will take on this case please let me know... We have to STOP this SCAM from going on any longer... and before she files for chapter 11..

I totally agree 100%. Irene Valenti is very eager to sign you up as soon as you call in, but reveals nothing about how feeble her services really are. I feel like an idiot, cos alarm bells should really have been ringing. Firstly is the claim of being staffed by psychologists etc. How could they possibly know you by just giving a simple online psychometric test.

Then comes the claim of aiming to make the first introduction within the first 30 days. I guess I was really dumb to believe this. If we use some common sense and think that if Valenti is so well advertised locally as well as internationally, and that they have such a large client database, with so few staff how on earth would they ever be able to spend a meaningful amount of time looking for someone for you. Once again the reason is simple, they are NOT searching for someone for you. All that they are doing is just doing a database match, which is really pathetic for their massive client fee. Why pay someone tens of thousands of dollars just to sit in their armchair to find the love of your life. The gravity of this empty service coupled with the exorbitant price tag just to keep this company in their fancy ranch, fancy website and fancy lifestyles makes me sick.

Its just another greedy case of someone playing on the psychology that a massive price tag correlates to a fantastic service. So far from the truth. DONT WASTE A SINGLE DOLLAR WITH THIS COMPANY !

Hello Barbara, please let us know if a lawyer is still willing/planning on this scam. Since your post was 65 days ago, I'd like to make sure if you're still on with the lawyer. I have been on dispute process in BBB but if there's a lawyer who'll take this as a class law suit, I will participate. I've been experiences all of the above complaints. Thanks.

I must agree with the previous negative posts. I paid an embarrassing sum of money for a three year contract and ended up with 5 extremely weak introductions. I really tried to keep the communications open with the "Team", but they never found anything close to what we discussed when I flew across the country for our original meeting. This is a smooth operation that has perfected trolling for clients. They know how to reel them in and though in the beginning I liked Irene I now recognize a sharp operator. DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE. Go travel the world and have a great adventure and let fate take you where you are meant to go, guaranteed it will be a lot more fun than paying for Irene's bloated lifestyle!

I tried to do research before I signed up with Valenti, but none of these kinds of posts were out at the time. Mine was a horrible experience, from the few very unsuitable "matches" that did happen who all complained about their bad experiences and inability to get a refund ... to not receiving any personal treatment (in fact, being spoken to very rudely by one consultant) ... to "introductions" that never called, sent text messages asking me for a photo, or called to talk but not meet, which I suspected were Valenti consultants in disguise.

The worst was having to advance schedule "consultations" (5-minutes with the psychologist) 2+ weeks out to be told absolutely nothing concrete about the person except he's "great." They won't tell you age, kids, previous marriages. I promise you'll have a more personalized and pleasant experience on match.com.

Oh, and the concierge experience is a joke. I would have definately picked better restaurants and times. And it's so demeaning checking in for the "Mr. Valenti" reservations!

I agree with the person who complained. I am with Valenti almost 2 years now, only one introduction and the person lives in a different continent, too far to form a relationship. The last two introductions never called, nor did I get an update from Valenti. If I get to Irene, she can be nice and try to help. But it seems she is too busy. The service has been very sparse and cold, no personal touch or follow up. I am still trying to get an answer on what happened to the last introduction after a few months of silence.

I hate to be the one to agree, however, I am! I am a current Valenti Client and am not impressed with my "2" whole introductions I have had in the past two years. Also, the Doctors must have been on vacation on the last introduction. It was so far off I couldn't believe it! Maybe the recession has caused their clientel to vanish. I am truly disappointed. I was really looking forward to their services, however, the impersonable way I am being treated since they got their half of the contract is just ridiclulous. I hope that they really step it up a notch next year, since my contract will be expiring!

I am also a successful Valenti International client and I think it's sad that people can make false claims and give incorrect information with no proof. Anyone can say anything about anyone and hide behind the Freedom of Speech. I did my research before becoming a client and 3 years is the longest this type of service can contract with a client. There is no "statue" (notice the complainer can't spell, it should be "statute"). Sounds like a bitter, desperate old woman.
