Utsav Fashion Poor quality

I have been ordering from Utsav since 2010. I live in the US and generally order sarees for my Mom in India. My mom has always said that the sarees do not look "new" and seem to be washed. In 2011, she complained that Item no. SLDFO352 had small oily looking patches on the fabric.I, initially, put it down to her fastidiousness. But this time, even, I was shocked. If you notice the pics, the thread/ Resham border on the saree looks old and faded with the threads clearly warped and bunched. This is not the quality expected from a new saree. The store owners must appreciate that in online shopping, the customers place a lot of trust in the merchant as they have no opportunity to physically feel and test the product. Also often, the orders are not processed in time. I am not talking about overseas orders, but within India itself. I find this practice extremely annoying and disappointing. I have written to Utsav atleast half a dozen times but have not got any reply, other than a perfunctory, we will look into it response.

Utsav Fashion Horrible Service and Wrong items sent

I placed an order for three outfits. I asked that they be size 36. The first one was sent out and it was a size 28. There was not enough fabric to make it 36 inches. My other two outfits took another month to be sent out. I had told them multiple times at this point to ensure that they do the order as size 36. These two outfits arrived and again were 28 inches! I complained to them and they said it was not possible. I took pictures with the measuring tape and sent it to them. They said to ship it back in regular mail (hmm maybe they will say that it got lost!) before they process a refund. I also did not get my free items. I also paid a total of $80 for customs. They appeared to not really care about their error and the fact that they left me with three wrong sized items. I will never order from them again. I wish I had read these complaints before!

Utsav Fashion defected saree

I bought a saree from utsav fashion, the saree was shown as peach color but turned out to be orange, but the real disaster was when i opened the saree it had a blue patch in the middle which was not shown or described on there website. it looks horrible and it makes draping the saree very difficult. when i contacted the customer care they simply refused to refund or exchange the saree. they said there higher management has asked them not to. Utsav Fashion Fraud

I bought 3 lehengas online initially-after a few weeks, they cancelled 2 lehengas from the order and wanted to susbtitute it with lehenga of their choice. The finally sent the third lehenga which they had messed up the size by making waist and hips 8 inches lesser than provided and reduced the length by 3 inches than submitted--when I told them this they wanted to refund 20 usd to alter it which is not even enough for me to buy a fabric to alter. Then they said they would take it back if I posted them via USPS with NO INNSURANCE and NO TRACKING NUMBER. After I sent them a receipt of postal charge, they disappeared from sending email and no refunds of my postal charge or the replacement lehenga.

I hope god punishes them for cheating customers like me and looking at their reviews elsewhere it has been a pattern for them to do so. DO NOT TRUST OR EVER BUY FROM THIS SITE.

Utsav Fashion Shamefully Poor Customer Service

OMG I never put up reveiws EVER, but this group got on my nerves so badly that i could not stop myself from writing in. I am so so so very disappointed with them i cannot even explain. I am furious with them. I placed an order for 5 items. 4 of which got delivered without the extra free gifts that they promised. No issues it was not like i cared for them anyway. They totally ruined my spirits when i finally recieved my last item in the mail. The package had wrong order. I reached out to them asking for what should be done. It has taken me atleast 10 calls, 7 online live chats, and 8 back and forth email and the issue is still not resolved. It has been 2 months since this happened. Problem with chats - they are always sorry and tell me to understand that nothing was intended and they keep making mistakes. They always take the order number put me on hold for 10 mins come back and tell me the order has been shipped. It is like explaining the same thing to them a 100 times and they still dont get it. Wonder if they have a tracking system or not. They told me they will let the concerned department know and repsond via emailin 24 hours. Multiple times it did not happen. Finally i got some agent on the chat another day whom i told i will save the chat transcript and escalate the matter even further if they did not do something about my order. A lady called me up at 9 pm and tells me to send the picture attachment for the 5th time. She confirmed while i was on the phone that the images were received. And mind you this did not happen for the first time. She asked me to send the wrong order back to them an scan email then the receipt so they can reimburse. Hell noo! You think i would want to go through the hassle again to mail and wait for yet another reimbursement? She told me since i did not agree someone from her upper Management will call within an hour. I never got the call. Next morning i got another email from them saying "kindly mail us the images ( this was for the 6th time). I gave up. I requested my husband to pitch in and help me with the frustration. We are right now waiting for another call promised by them and I hope it ends soon. The order i had placed for diwali, it is well past the date and it was a present for my MIL. It is soo sad to have done business with Utsav fashion as they do not care enough about the customers. They have some ruthless folks working there.

I am a resident of Canada. I bought 2 sarees from on-line store http://www.utsavfashion.com Price: USD171.25 on December 17, 2013 and they did deliver the product on December 31, 2013.

During the delevery of the package the courier company did charge me as C.O.D. CAD111.83. Canadian custom imposed duty and sales tax on the value (quoted by the vendor) CAD323.25

I brought the issue to the vendor's attention and they did supply me a revised shipping bill for value of USD171.25. With the new shipping bill yesterday I did contact the courier company (UPS Canada) and they agreed to reassess the charges. UPS Canada also notified me that they would charge me CAD15.00 in order to reassess the case.

Yesterday I did convey the message to Utsav Fashion and they notified me an e-mail that as a special case they would only take the responsibility of 50% of the reassessment cost.

Please let me know, why I have to take the burden of the reassessment fees while the mistake initiated by them and what kind of customer service is this?

Utsav Fashion No refund received for the order cancelled

I had ordered a lehenga online for Rs 20, 350 from Utsav Fashion on 3rd Dec 2012 & later cancelled on 8 Dec 2012. I was told that it take 2 working days for processing refund. However it has been 15 days and i have yet not received a refund on Rs 20350.
Also i tried reaching call centre number on [protected] & tried doing live chat or escalated vide mails on [protected]@utsavfashion.com However have never received any satisfactory mails so far.
Request you to kindly help me to receive my refund amount of Rs 20350.

Utsav Fashion Junk junk junk... they sell junk

I bought sari because it looked beautiful in the picture. when i received it..piece of junk. they didn't make the blouse as requested. Plus i had pay $40 for the custom tax. I am so disappointed. I ordered for the first time on line and was excited about. have a big wedding coming up and all the ladies in family were excited to see my sari so they could order some, too. Well, that's not happening any more Mr. Utsav. ...you sold me junk for almost $200. . i so unhappy i list my appetite over this stupid piece of junk...junk junk junk...they sell junk.

Utsav Fashion Dishonest .Frauds Frauds!!!

I bought a anarkali suit from Utsav and paid NZ$300. When I recd the item, I was appalled, it seemed like a second hand item, so untidy and the quality and stitching were hopeless. So I complained and was asked to send the item back and was promised that I will receive a full refund. After the item was sent they claimed that they never recd it and started ignoring my emails. I have sent 100's of emails and I even tried calling them but there is n answer at the other end. I never recd any refund and do not know hat happened to my item. I have copies of all my correspondences to Utsav ...if any one is interested. Utsav people are frauds and are dishonest. I will not advice any one to deal with them

Utsav Fashion FRAUD / SCAM

STAY AWAY - SHOP ELSEWHERE - UTSAV FASHION IS FRAUD FRAUD FRAUD!

I purchased a saree for my mother for my wedding - it wasn’t cheap $260 AUD. When I received it, I was so disappointed, shocking quality and came with a ready made blouse in the incorrect size. After contacting UTSAV, they promised to refund my money and asked me to return the item. They promised to reimburse me for the full cost of the saree purchase as well as return postage costs - total about $300 AUD. It has now been over 3 months and after multiple emails, they are now refusing to refund anything. I am $300 out of pocket and nothing to show! I have advised all my family and friends to avoid this dodgy website... please pass on the message so that other trusting customers are not ripped off like me.

I share the same experience. Spent around NZ$350.00 (clothing plus return postage). Never recd any refund nor know what happened to the courier that I sent. They must be doing this to everyone that makes a return . I have sent like 100's of emails, tried calling them but no one picks up on the other end.
Be careful when you buy from them . Cheaters, frauds, scammers ...dishonest people

Utsav Fashion Wrong Sizes shipped

I ordered a couple of salwar suits for a family celebration of the same size. When the items were shipped they sent incorrect sizes that could not be worn. The size were short several inches preventing from being put to the right use. This has happened twice. It seems that their tailors are not using consistent size measurements and their shipper does not check if the item being shipped is the right one matching what the order request stated. I do not recommend anyone purchasing these items online. I suggest going to a local retailer these purchases than doing it online. Their customer service is laughable at best

Totally agree. I purchased 3 sarees from utsav fashion portal. All are of shorter than standard size and of poor quality. They charged me nearly INR 2000/- per item. By looking at the quality of product delivered it is available in local market for not more than 750Rs with correct size. I will never buy from them. Now trying to contact their customer service to return this products, so far no reply.

Utsav Fashion order delayed

I contemplated ordering from this website for a long time but eventually I gave in because I was not liking what my mother was buying for me in India. I figured if I purchased a saree online it will be my choice. I did read a lot negative reviews but I wanted to give them a chance anyway. First of all during the ordering process nowhere did it say that it will take 25 days just to make my saree. I thought the saree is ready and all it needs is stitching and delivery. After a month of waiting I started emailing them. I would get standard emails still no estimated date of delivery. I then called the customer service. Early morning 4 am my time I got hold of them. Now they simply tell me it is not even in the workshop, it will take another 15 days to just get in the workshop which means 40 days to just get a simple saree woven. On top the customer service rep started arguing with me. I would have compromised if they were to send the order unstitched within delivery time. Instead they want me to order another saree from ready to ship section. As of now I have cancelled my order due to the utter disrespect from customer rep and lack of coordination between their various departments. Thank god I payed through paypal. Like the gentleman above I am going through paypal dispute if they don't refund my money within 3 days like they said.

They don't ship the items that we order. They collect the amount and don't deliver. Even if they deliver they are not as per the website picture and not a size that we ordered. They are a fraud website.

what you see is not what you get with utsavfashion.com.
I was constantly lied to about part of my order. like any other online scam, they only shipped part of order, and then went quite. they assume that you will never call them and they can have your money.
if you call them, they keep giving you bogus dates and process your order item by item. I ordered 4 sarees. first they shipped only two, then when i complainted and asked about my rest of items, they shipped one more, but told me that both will be shipped in '24-48hrs'. then they went silent for 17 days! so i called back in asking for my order. they gave me the same line: 'not intentional, will be shipped in 24-48hrs'
if this is not lying and cheating, then what is? find a better website or, wait till walmart or Amazon start their business in India.

Utsav Fashion Cheaters but nothing else

Hi,

This people are absolutely fraud.i am saying this out of my own personnel experience.
I ordered it and they won't send me any thing even after one month if I try to contact them they always say one item is ready and other is damaged we will take one more week to ship or process the order or what the heck.but it will never ship and they won't respond to you at all but they charge your credit card.but thank god I paid through paypal and opened my eyes after 35 days and opened a case with PayPal and you know what they came running to me you know this time they didn't take time to respond and I don't know how.but PayPal squeezed everything out of these heaters pockets.three cheers to PayPal and please don' t fall for these cheaters.i know sometimes out of desperation we do mistakes but pay through PayPal and after 30 days if you are not getting your order open your eyes and be smart and do what you have to do to get back your respectful hard earned money from these kind of cheaters

www.utsavfashion.com is a great website undoubtedly. I have been shopping since 2012 and didn't have any problem with the quality or sevice.. I am surprised how people can write so negative.
I have several friends and so many members in my family as well who are buying from Utsav but nobody faced any problem with this website..

Dealing with Utsav is a nightmare, whatever you do stay AWAY from Utsav Fashion. I made the mistake of ordering a SAREE from this place not once, but TWICE in hopes that perhaps the first experience with them was unlucky. Both times I ordered with them they claim to having some kind of problem with the order to which continually delays the whole process of receiving your order. Throughout the order they will give you empty promises that you will receive your order, even claiming that the only thing delaying the order is shipping but the truth of the matter is THEY HAVEN'T EVEN DONE YOUR ORDER!

Do not let them fool you, they do not care about how badly you need your order (in my case to go to a wedding). They decided to conveniently tell me a week before the event that they cannot complete the order and that they are issuing a refund (mind you, I placed my order TWO MONTHS before I needed it), yes that is indeed how long they will mindlessly delay your order before ultimately screwing you over.

Not to mention they refuse to refund the transfer fee of $8 for doing an international transaction, not even offering store credit or anything of the store for the huge inconveniences they make you go through..

The support is terrible as well, the people you speak to don't know anything and will frustrate you to the point that you either hang up or disconnect from the chat, giving completely irrelevant responses to your questions and concerns.

Please, it is clear to see from their other reviews that this is a business that you do not want to deal with. They do not deserve to be in business and certainly don't deserve your hard earned money so do not allow them the chance to screw you over just as they do everything.

This company is a parasite that does not go away until they screw you as much as the situation allows.

Utsav is the most FRAUDULOUS online Seller ever existed. I dont understand how other buyers saying they were satisfied with the product and services. To me these good reviews must be UTSAv RELATIVES OR uTSAV HIMSELF REVIEWING FOR HIMSELF.
I had 2 purchases from them. At the first time. I forgive them, i said may be next time, they gonna be more professional. But the next time they were WORST.
they didnt ship my order. I send them 100 of emails. Asking them to PLEASE SHIP my order URGENTLY.
Instead, they didnt do a move. Everyday a ndifferent agent of them. one day Parita, another day, sushmita, another day naushad. all of them talking rubbish.
dont know what they were waiting for my confirmation Customs investigation. I asked them to stop loosing time. to ship my order or otherwise cancel it and return my Money.
Again, they kept sending messages. asking question about reasons behind my cancellation.
I tried their phone number. all three lines. 1st phone number is Disconnected temporarily. 2nd, answering machine, but unable to leave message, 3rd line someone answered, but he does not speak english only madras or hindi, I dont know what he is talking about.
I tried 4 times this 3rd number, . but it wasnt Utsav company, it was someone house.
UTSAV must be closed down.
Petition must be raised so that the Indian government send Landing and Seize this Fraudulous shop.

I have similar problem this one happened in may 2012 they charged me directly from my credit card and then order process after three weeks when i send them e-mail for asking when will i get my shipment next day got reply, that saree had some diffected so choose another one and until today matter has not been sort out I'm sick and tired of this company are so fraud... so please dont order from this web site I have talked to many of my friends They all had similar incident with UTSAV.every time some one else send me an e-mail saying get back to you within 24 hours, thats it sick and tired of this company.

yes i think this is what is happening to me, they didn't ship my order a month after i ordered, they said it was damaged anas asked me to choose another one, which i did fro their 7 days to ship collection, now it has been two weeks nothing has been sent. i emailed them twice and they take about 4 days to reply and its the standard email, had not answered my email at all. their phone number is disconnected. i might contact paypal

Utsav Fashion Fraud/Scam

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DON'T BUY FROM THIS PLACE. There's no reason to even buy once. These dresses are hundreds of dollars. They're a scam. They should be shut down. India can manufacture great products and doesn't need this place to peddle garbage and cheat people. Really, I'm not any sort of competing company or whatever. I read some of the good reviews on their site thinking maybe I somehow just screwed up my order or that I was being unreasonable, but those good reviews are so vague! I think they write them themselves. And they don't really let you look through the negative reviews, which is why everyone is posting here and elsewhere. A dress they sent me looked nothing like the picture - the stitching was totally different, the material was disgusting, and there were stains! I battled for months to get a refund and battled for even an exchange. They finally agreed to an exchange. I sent the dress back to India from the US, paid for shipping, and I never received my replacement, nor a refund, not any more communication from them ever again. ...except for their email marketing.

I wish I had read these reviews before buying lehengas from them. Utsav sarees is a shame to india business, they know nothing than to cheat their customers.

I agree this place is out for money. I ordered a Saree that claimed it shipped by the 4th of September. I needed it for a wedding on the 21st. On the 14th, I contacted them saying the shipment was already 10 days late and I asked if they could cancel the order as I was sure I wouldn't get it in time. They then asked where the wedding was and said they could get it to London (where the wedding was) by the date. Well, I gave them the address, but said please only if you can get it in time. Not only did they not send it in time, they didn't sent it to London, they even sent it to my wrong address in Amsterdam. I lost a lot of money on outfits I shall never wear. And when I tried to get in a complaint, they sent me a pre-fabricated complaint implying I was complaining about the quality. Hence, they don't even read your complaints.. very poor.

I have ordered two items worth of 300 usd. I received the items after two months and after two months they have sent me a different items of low quality, poorly stitched. I have sent them min 20 emails to find out if they exchange or refund my money but I havent heared anything from them. They never responded to my mails or calls. Mistakes can happen but If they avoid your emails then it should be assumed that something suspicious about their site. Since they never responded to emails nor refunded my monney I think it's a fraud website

I have ordered the same products from utsav and cbazaar and if you compare the prices of cbazaar and utsav. Cbazaar items will be 25 to 30$ will be cheaper for the same product. Utsav fashion is expensive.

Utsav Fashion I deserve this

I deserve this. I ignored all of the negative comments on the net, warnings from friends and went and paid a ransom to these people.

What a business ? You show a beautiful product and tempt me with 'want this ? want to buy this ?', and I say 'Yes, I want it, here is the money', and you take my money and then say 'Sorry, I dont have the product, but I have your money now, buy something else or forget your money'.

I agree mistakes happen. Shops often forget to update their websites, and sometimes wrongly accept money for what is already sold or out-of-stock, but they always immediately return your money. Never have I encountered this situation - we cant ship you what we took your order and money for, and we aint returning your money. And this isint a 10 Rs or 20 Rs tamarind sale, we are talking 8000 Rs.

Another word for such transactions - day-light robbery !

My first time internet purchase from India. Sadly so bitter. I have purchased online from so many places in US and elsewhere for the past 10 years, but never encountered this. Sadly some people do have a certain brazen shamelessness when it comes to 'business' it looks like, I dont know if for them all is fair in love and war, but in business certainly it is.

As a first time buyer one panics if they repeatedly ignore the refund option EVEN AFTER buyer has mentioned it. Not acknowledging that suggestion was very disturbing for one who has never done business with them.

Update - They have issued refund on first saree and depatched the second. Once credit is confirmed and delivery completed, I will be happy customer. My feedback to them was this - that they should have mentioned the option of refund even while suggesting different colors and items - that at any point in the process of discussing/exploring alternatives the option of quitting the process with a refund was available to me anytime upon request. As a first time buyer one panics if they repeatedly ignore the refund option. The very credibility of the business comes to question. I told them I wished they would have been clear about refund from the beginning and avoided this panic. If I am sure they are good at refund I wont mind doing business with them again.

Check out this red bomkai-patli saree $274 in Utsav http://www.utsavsarees.com/store/sarees-large.aspx?icode=SLSZC3543 and $ 124 in Orissa Handloom http://www.orissahandloom.com/Sari/Odishi-Handloom-Bomkai-Patli-Saree/22.html.I hear Orissa handloom prices have gone up also but stll would be under $200 is myguess. I have also heard from a couple people who brought from Orisa Handloom that saree qualities were excellent, looks like prices are so competitive since it is a new start-up.

And they charge 2.5 times more than local sellers. Check the price on same saree - Bichitrapuri silk saree - Utsav charging $ 303 http://www.utsavsarees.com/store/sarees-large.aspx?icode=SLSZC3544 and Orissa handloom charging $ 125 http://www.orissahandloom.com/Sari/Odishi-Handloom-Bichitrapuri-Saree/3.html. Even assuming Orissa handloom has not updated its site and prices for sometime, my guess is they still will charge far less than Utsav I am sure.

And I dont mind that Utsav is charging 2.5 times, as a big botique company acting as a single point for many different kinds of Indian sarees, sometimes we have to pay extra for easy shopping. But if they are pretending to be such a single point botique, by making a beautiful website with beautiful photos, and then charge 2.5 times for non-existent products and rob gulible folks like me, then the 2.5 times pricing adds insult to injury.

Utsav Fashion Bad service

Despite my better judgement I placed an order with Utsav sarees. Everyone deserves a second chance. Not this company I paid a lot of money for a printed saree with “matching blouse” the printed saree turned up however the blouse was a plane black boring bit of work with no detail what so ever. It was not even in the same fabric as the saree. I expressed my complaint and they said that if I want one that matches I have to pay $12 to get it stitched and $15 to get it shipped. If they got it right first time around I would not have to pay anything extra. I have emailed back saying that the extra cost to have something that I should of got in the first place is not acceptable I will let you know how I get on. Of course you may have to wait a while as it takes many days to answer an email

I would suggest you buy next time from Fusionshoppe.com - they provide free shipping and $10 for stiching. Some products have free stiching also. Good luck.. I have switched to fusionshoppe and will give 5 stars to their service.

Utsav Fashion Fraud of 149.00 dollers

HI,
I placed order with Utsav (on 18 June 2010) on their website http://utsavsarees.com/
of 149.00 dollars for woman’s traditional apparel.I ordered their items only because of their express delivery option (which says ships in 2 to 3 days). because my in law’s were visiting me first time to USA and they wished to see me in Indian Apparel. I planed to wear them on Indian ocaation “Vatsavitri vrat” 25 June and then on 30 June which is my birthday as My in laws where suppose to go back to India by July 6, 2010.

I didn’t received anything until 10 days pass after I placed my order. They did not notify me anything about when it will ship then I email them about it. they started to give me assurance that they are facing some problems that’s why shipment is late and it will ship in 3 to 4 days.They give me same type of assurance at least 6 to 7 times and finally Utsav shipped my order after 2 months(mid of August 2010 after my lots of complains by email (almost 15 to 16 complaints in 2 months). I explain them why I ordered with them and what are my time lines but no result I got from them.
when I received order it was not as shown in picture even fitting were improper. I complained and asked them to return my money because first they were failed to deliver in time. Suppose, if they would have took 7 to 8 days more for delivery then I would have tolerate but they took two months and even they didn’t notify me about it until I asked them. I was being such nice or fool that I gave them chance to make me wait for 2 months. Even My in laws left without seeing me in Indian clothing and My in laws along with my husband all family member got angry at me that why I choose this type of company?
But Utsav customer care person “Shakti” wrote me that refund is not possible in any case only modification is possible. when I argued and complaints many times that it was their fault that they took such long time and didn’t send proper items then after many head heating arguments via email, She give me only 20 dollar discount out of my 149.00 dollar for 2 months late shipping and 11.40 dollar to returned this items back to Utsav for modification. so, I returned it on 30 August 2010 since I haven’t received my items or money back.

before even they were not ready to give me return shipping charges which was 11.40 dollar. After many complaints they gave me that. Since 30 August 2010, they are giving me assurance that I will get my items return with all changes in 3 to 4 days. Last on end of September 2010 they promised me via email to ship my order with modification in 2 to 3 days but now it’s end of October 2010, I haven’t received anything yet. They ashamed me among my whole family. My HUSBAND IS KEEP ASKING ME AFTER EVERY 2 DAYS THAT DID YOU RECEIVE YOUR ITEMS? IF NOT THAN why THEY ARE NOT GIVING MONEY BACK? FROM NOW ON I WILL NOT LET YOU DO ANY ONLINE SHOPPING”.

So, After placing order with them, it’s almost 4 months that I haven’t got my apparel. I don’t understand what type of problem they are facing which could cause 2 months for shipping and than another 2 months for modification of that same order. I have almost more than 40 emails with them about this matter in past 4 months. if they are facing the problem that could cause moths wait to customers than they should stop taking new orders and must notify about their problem to customers because it’s not customer’s problem. They are the one who is getting money and not shipping items so, it’s their own problem.

Now I am tired of waiting. so, Last week, I emailed them that” when first time you fail to deliver my order on time than It was your first hand duty that you notify me and must give me option that I would like to wait or cancel the order instead of doing that you guys took two months to ship it to me and didn’t return my money. Now when Received the order and it was improper, after I have return all items, Now it is more 2 months since you are not shipping it back to me and keep giving me false promise. SO, I do not want your items anymore because anyways it is useless for me now as all occasion to wear it has been already gone. So, return my money. Then they stop replying my email.

Now, in current situation, they are not replying my emails, haven’t refund me my money, Haven’t returned my items back. It looks like they are not facing any problem but doing some type of fraud or scam that “just take payments from customers and ship to customers whenever they want or not ship at all and keep give them false promise for months so, that customer get tired and stop complain or not take any action against them. They are thinking NRIs customers would not do all this trouble for couple of dollars.

That means they got my all money 149.00 USD and I got nothing, it’s a big fraud. I want to aware all NRIs from USA, U.K, Canada, Australia and customers from India who does online shopping that Not to do shopping with Utsav on website and address mentioned under in my complain.

Utsav Fashion Fraud/Poor Customer Service

Dear All,
I advise all of you to be aware of fraudulent and poor customer service. First of all, I ordered a raw silk Kurta-pyjama and it was supposed to be shipped in 10 days but it took 1 month. Fine, i was not in a rush and so i don't care. However, I expected to receive what i ordered. To my dismay, i received a dress that did not look like a new dress. The most important thing was that the dress label was cutoff (perhaps to conceal the type of material used) with a scissor (see the attache picture). The buttons are done in a very shoddy way. I emailed them the pictures and they did not bother to explain or apologize. They did not even respond to my email. I have a strong feeling that these guys (like many businesses from india) do not care about the customer service. As many people wrote here in the complain board, all they do is take our money1 month in advance and the try to sell what they have rather that what we want. A bunch of thieves and I cannot believe that there are able to get away with their fraudulent business activities. I am looking at the possibility of complaining about them to the govt agencies.
So people be aware of this website and think twice before you buy something from them.

Thank you sending the images.

We have checked the images. The thread which comes out near the hole
of the button, it remains in this way as the hole of the button is
stitched and the thread it tied there. Please cut it with scissors.

As regards the size tag, generally we remove it at the time of packing.

The kurta is made of raw silk only. Hoewever as you are not happy with
the product you receive we are ready to refund you 15% of the item
cost as a token of compensation and we request you to keep the item.

Their customer service is absolutely HORRIBLE. Do not give your hard earned money to these thieves. I can not believe they are still in business even though they have screwed so many customers.

They did the same type of thing with me. I ordered 149.00 USD apparel with them using their express delivery option. which was guaranteeing delivery in 2 to 3 days. One was sari-choli and other was lehnga choli. They took two months to ship it to me. meanwhile they suggest me to change some measurement two to three times and said that it was their expert advise so, I let them to do that. When I received items, Fitting were horrible that I can't wear it or no ultration were possible. I ordered this items only because of their express shipping option because I had some important occasion going on and I needed Indian apparel urgent. When I asked for refund they said we do not refund in any case and we will do modifications for items so ship it back to us. I sent them all items back before 2 months ago and I didn't receive it back yet. Now, they are not replying me since I asked them to give my money back and also not sending my items back. They took 149.00 dollars of mine and I got nothing.

Being that these businesses are over-seas and not even American-ran / owned / operated. Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done, because the Indian officials wont care, it would be 'A problem for the Americans to deal with'. I would just say don't buy from them anymore, it's the best you can do...

Utsav Fashion dishonest_lying about shipping date over and over

All of the customers complains about UTSAV is making sense now. I have placed an order about 4 weeks ago for an event i am going to attend and wanted to make sure i get the sarees ahead of time. So i choose the sarees that were available to be shipped within 5 days. everytime i checked with them they said it will be shipped within 3-4 days..i made a miskate of not checking online for other reviews and fall for all the good comments on their website. it's unfortunate, they have great products for very good price or at leas that' what they advertise. I bought saree from other online shops and always got them within 2 weeks..never shopping at UTSAV again. They sent me an email today saying they cancelled my order and i will get the money in 4-5 days. let's see it that comes true!

Utsav Fashion Poor Service and Cheaters

Oreder the product on Feb 1st for my moms birthday on March 15th. Clearly told them that i want it by march 15th and followed up up to 5 times. On March 7th I receive an email saying the product is damaged and that I could select an alternate product but I wanted my money back. I have not got my product or refund till date!

The same happened to me, I ordered a churidar, I got kids churidar and a half pant, very poor material and very poor stitching. Look like some kids stitched that.
Even my daughter she is 3 year old cant wear adult churidar. Some big scam behind UTSAV Fashion..

The same is happening to me. I ordered saree over a month ago from UTSAV and still haven't received it. I keep emailing and they tell me its damaged or will take another 2-3 days...don't know if I will recevie my saree at all and I am going on a wedding overseas soon...

Utsav Fashion Very Disappinting promotion, products and service

VERY DISAPPOINTING PROMOTION, PRODUCTS AND SERVICE

I recently attended the UTSAV sari showcase that took place in London 30th Jan – 1st Feb. I was very excited about the event, as there were many items that I was interested in spending a huge amount of money on.
When I got an email informing me that they were unable to bring any of my requests as they were primarily showing this years collection, I was most upset, but felt that it would be worth a visit anyway.

I then received a email, stating cash only, which I found a bit suspicious, by this time, my heart was set on going, I should of trusted my better judgement

The venue was tiny, a box, there were items everywhere it was a mess. To try items on I was taken to the hotel toilet. Most of the items there I have previously seen in other catalogues, and I also noticed that the labels had been cut out of them.

The show promised jewellery, I saw about 5 over priced bangles, no handbags, just a box room full of fabric and people. It was awful

I found a Salwar Kameeze and I had come along way and felt like I did not want to leave with nothing. Cash was taken for it however a receipt for it was refused. To add finial insult to my London UTSAV sari experience the brown paper bag they gave to me to take it home in fell apart halfway home on the Northern Line.

I am most disappointed in UTSAV, cutting labels out of items which are clearly made by some one else, for having such a ridiculously small venue, and why cash? After I left I felt as if though I had been part of a criminal act.

It cannot be denied UTSAV do market some beautiful things, however, if they are from another company I do advise that you shop around and find these items at their source. UTSAV are quite clearly a very under hand company that have no regards for their customers needs, requirements or welfare.

The website is beautiful and there are some many fantastic photos you can loose days looking at them, however, this I fear is were the dream ends. For me at least

OMG about Utshav! So, you all are saying like these... I believed in 100% and feeling sorry for you all as I am feeling sorry for myself. They are sucks, lier and mismanaged S.O. Bs. Their products are nice looking and that's why I have been shopping w/them for last 5-7 years, spent thousands of dollars for these misleading products of these idiots. However, the suffering I have gone thr. each time, if I write down, going to be an essay. Let me express just one incidence among 100s: ordered about $1000.00 dollars sarees and Panjabees for man and young grandson w/ lot of faith that they will do right if I explain. More than 20 emails I did and requested to maintain the modesty on these net sarees, place on extra lilene layer about 16" by 32" on the chest area. In between, they sent two sarees w/out these although they said 'mam, no problem on it to do. My request was not applied on these two sarees unfortunately. Again contacted them and reminded- bagged even for the remaining sarees to do so. Also, made calls to overseas in reffering these requests. And you know, their respond was such as (copy and paste from one of their emails among 100 emails & from about 50 reps in different name in each time)"
their respond: We always check the items before shipping, but may be this item got skipped off by our quality control checking department. We have already forwarded your mail with the images to our senior management and hope this type of mistakes will not happen in future.
As regards to your order UT519436 item SKK13096, we would like to request you to kindly keep it and as a token of compensation we are ready to credit you 10% of the item cost that is USD 8.05
Please confirm whether you are comfortable with the offer."

I informed back that I am keeping these as it is anyhow. However, remaining orders need to be taken care and plz send ASAP, it's more than/close to two months already. If you can give $20.00 discount for these lacking on these two, it can be reasonable compensation against these demages. B/c I have to stitch lilene on those w/ my hand and at least each saree is going to take an hr. for me. Plus I have severe back problem, can't sit and stitch So $10.00*2= $ 20.00. I am so glad finally you guys understood what I meant." But these offer was refused/turned down deadly.
In regards to the remaining sarees, they wanted me to send pics to make it clear where the lilene should be. So, to make it clear, I have sent pictures thr mobile phone and sent them, that didn't give a demn satisfactory result!
Requested back again to send w/ the marking where I want to have the lilene; then I did again and their respond in that time "now we understood and it's going to be the way you wanted..." I was hoping and still trusting soooo much.
finally guess what, after another 2-3 weeks and reminding repeatedly. Stupid sarees came but each one I was opening and very disappointing that any saree didn't get lilene! What a pain in the ###/ pain is way on the picked of limpnode of my ###. I am very educated woman and came from a noble family but dealing w/ cheaters-liers can disappoint you so bad, somehow need to take the anger out. Specially these Indians are making good products to do buisness globally but their business ethics are so wrong and don't apply customer rule and need to improve immediately, otherwise, maximum customers are suffering.

Some more, still didn't receive the refund and didn't receive the Panjabi for our grandson! Fortunately, their father PayPal is there and recovered few dollars from last time's transaction few months back.

Another incidence happend w/ this order, they told me, can't provide one saree b/ c of out of stock. So I was considerate minded, instead of asking refund bought two more sarees to adjust on adding two new more sarees, for that I have to met the difference of the cost as well. When I received the orders, that saree, the one was out of stock arrived plus w/out email/ discussing w/me the other two sarees sent, the new two I bought to replace. Sooooo strange! !

That's it w/ Utsav sarees. Can't take anymore pain upto my limp node.
Still they are emailing me to buy sarees from them!

I am very dissapointed with Utsav. I ordered a saree from the express section and they promised me that I would get the saree within five business days. It has been 3 weeks now and I'm still waiting for my saree. Now they are saying that they can't really say when they can deliver my saree. This is the last time I'm doing any business with Utsav.Think twice before you purchase anything from Utsav. Their serevice is very disappointing.!

i made a terrible mistake of ordering from utsav. They sent me a totally different and cheap saree. I was so disappointed. I could not believe how badly I got cheated by them. Never buy from Utsav sarees. HORRIBLE customer service, they show something else on their website and send you something else faurd?

I also oredered with Utsav.They promised me that I will recive my order on time. I ordered 2 months ago for my sister wedding. Now they say that they are sorry but it will take 10 more days it means that I will never get my items on time for the wedding. I customized special sizes as I am pregnant so my items will be useless.I told them to refund my order. I was used to buy with Utsav but now that is too much I will not order again. I am 8 months pregnant I thanks to their lies I have to run 2 days before the wedding in the few indian shops we have in paris to buy something I could wear on my sister wedding. I am very disappointed and angry with their service.
