The cars which they are selling looks amazing and clean to cover major defect of engine, transmission, or power train. You get what you paid for! I bought once from them and never again!

used cars unsatisfactory car purchace

I Consigned a 2005 Jeep Liberty with Lakeside auto and also purchased a 2003 Chevy trail blazer. I was told (not in writing) that if the Jeep didn't sell before the next payment was due, That Lakeside auto would write me a check for the payment.

I agreed to this and when the jeep didn't sell like they verbally and confidently asserted that it would, I went to collect the JEEP payment check they were to write for me and they wrote me a check for the payment of the 2003 Chev. Trail Blazer, which was not due at that time anyway and a significantly lower amount than the sum due on the Jeep.
I was told that I had misunderstood.

I would not have agreed to this if I did not completly understand that the Jeep payment would be made in the event that it did not sell in time because I knew I couldn't afford to take the risk of this otherwise.
In addition, the Chevy Trail Blazer had the wrong size tires on it and I believe that when dealing with Lakeside Auto Brokers, Do get everything in writing and check everything thoroughly with exhaustive completeness. There is a great lack of integrity at work at Lakeside Auto Brokers. I made the mistake of not getting it in writing and even referred a friend before I knew about the lack of integrity. That friend was equally taken advantage of.

We have purchased two vehicles from Lakeside auto brokers. A 2005 toyota Tundra and a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Both vehicles have been perfect and we still own both vehicles today. We gave them information on what we were looking for and 3 days later they called with several choices to choose from at near wholesale prices. We did not have trade -ins and did not require financing.

I bought a car from Lakeside Auto Brokers and had one of the best car buying expieriences of my life. It was easy and not time consuming like most dealerships. I wish there were more dealerships like this one!

Consigning vehicles is always a tough situation for a dealer. Trying to consign a vehicle to help a customer out based on that customers payoff is also another challange. Sometimes people believe their vehicle is often worth what their payoff is. This usually is not the case, especially with dramatic market forces at work like fuel prices. Sometimes the reward to the dealer for helping a customer trying to sell a vehicle for several thousand dollars more than what the market is can be frustrating. We continue to do it in special occasions because the advertising that a dealer can spend dwarfs a individuals effort in selling their own car.

First, I think a better gauge for filing complaints would limit one person to one complaint. Having the same person post complaints over and over again under different names does not give the public a clear picture of what transpired. The customer had communicated that she lived outside city limits which was not the case. We are bound to collect the proper tax depending on the customers address. In response to the the car requiring any work after the sale, the customer took the car to their mechanic before purchase and understood the condition of the vehicle. And decided the price was good enough that the repairs could be done at a later date with her own mechanic.

I purchased a car from them and a month later they started demanding more money from me or they were going to repo the car. This is after it was already financed. This was last may. They called me again today 10/15/08 wanting more money and threatened to repo it again. They also added gap insurance for $295.00 on to the purchase price after I said I did not need it. Can they repo a car that was already sold to a finance company?

I also purchased a vehicle from Lakeside auto brokers, and was unhappy with the service. My father signed for me to get a lower interest rate, and while we were in the process of the paperwork we made it perfectly clear to Jeff that I lived outside City limits as far as taxes go. When it was time to get my plates for the 04 Saturn Vue he told me that I owed an addtional 260.00 for taxes. After calling the DMV for them to find out what needed to be done it was taken care of by myself with NO help from Lakeside.
Also After a month of owning this Vehicle I have had to put 1100.00 into it already. The battery was bad and the sway bar they said needing fixing turned out to be a Rack and pinon in addtion to the sway bar link.
I agree that if you do purchase a vehicle from Lakside Auto Brokers to get it throughly checked first.
