US Periodicals Inc. have not received magazine

My husband bought me a 3-year subscription for tv guide from this company. I stopped receiving it a month ago. We called today to find out why and got the most rude person on the phone. His name is Max - he gave a bunch of crap and would not answer our questions. I was so appalled by his attitude that I called him an ###------ and he proceeded to call me one. He told me I would be lucky if I EVER get my tv guide. I wrote a letter to this company and will mail it today. I called back and got the some person on the phone. Once I gave him my phone number he told me once I called him that particular expletive he had nothing to say to me. I told him I'd better get my magazine and then he hung up on me. No one should do business with company. I am going to contact TV Guide and tell them NOT to allow this company to act as an agent for them. And I intend to contact the AZ Attorney General's Office - after reading many of the complaints from this company I have little hope that I will get my magazine. I will get the word out to everyone I can NOT to do business with this company.

I submitted a subscription with U.S.Periodicals as a promotion thru my grandsons school. The prices were to be available to the teachers and family.I thought I was purchasing a 3yr. subscription to Star Magazine. But, recently I have received notifications from Star that my subscription will expire soon---they have not received my money or renewal from U.S. Periodicals.I have been robbed of $169 by these people. I called the number listed for them but a person answered with a Indian accent (east indian) and denied that it was the company in question.

The best way I found to get any "feedback" from US Periodicals is to turn them into the BBB in Arizona and also to the Attorney Generals office there, when or if you can ever get a person to answer there they are evasive and not helpful to say the very least, they told me it takes 120 to renew but, can't find payments you make or then say the payment was received late or that they now have no record of any payments . It wasn't until I could no longer get any type of answer from their phone number that I looked online and discovered all of the pages of complaints on this company that I contacted the BBB . They have accepted my proof of payments that USP would not and they have been in contact with me when USP would not . The matter is finally being settled thanks only to the BBB of Arizona . I received a letter from the Attorney Generals office that included USP's response to my complaint and they have stated that because I didn't make my payments on time they were not going to send my order on to the magazine, they had no issue with cashing my payments even when they were received late however and have stated as far as they ( Mike Smith ) can see I am a con artist that does not want to make my last supposed payment to them . The " supposed " payments he speaks of were all made and the BBB has backed me up on them . Mike Smith has stated that as a slow paying customer there is no way they can trust me ! This from a company with complaint after complaint after complaint ! Anyway my suggestion to everyone out there is to contact the BBB and the Attorney Generals office, they stated with enough complaints they will start an investigation . I have referred that office to this and other sites to see just how many people have gotten taken by this company . Hope this helps you all out . If we only voice our complaints here it does no good . Contact the offices, even if it is too late to get any money back maybe this company can be shut down for good.

I also got scammed by these people but I made a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I got all my money back and the whole process only took me about two weeks.

Why are these people allowed to scam us...I sent them a check for $85.50 for the National Enquirer and the Enquirer never received the money...Now I am checking out this company and I find out they are a scam outfit...I do not understand why the better business bureau does not put them out of business...they are making a fortune by collecting money for subscriptions and never sending it to the magazines...This is hard for me to believe that they can stay in business and keep scaming us...

I agreed to a renewal of a subscription to Discover Magazine for 4yrs for $96.00 with these people. I wouldn't do the order over the phone so they sent the info by mail and I sent a check. Didn't want to give them a credit card number. They cashed the check but I have never received a magazine. They won't return my calls either.

US Periodicals Inc. Fraud and cheating

US Periodicals contacted my elderly Mother, and convinced her that they could get her a great deal on a magazine subscription. She agreed and gave them her credit card info, and was charged $119.60.

A few weeks later, she received a card in the mail that her subscription was about to expire. A call to the magazine showed that no renewal had been sent to them, and they did not deal with a company named US Periodicals.

US Periodicals was called, and vicious woman named 'Sam'. She said that the magazine wouldn't know them, and that they worked through a company called National Publishers Exchange. This woman lied about talking with me days before, told me she didn't have a number for the National Publishers Exchange she worked through, and would not give any other company info. She would not give any information out about how to contact this company. An internet search revealed several National Publishers Exchange's, none who were contacted have heard of US periodicals.

Repeated calls to US Periodicals proved likewise fruitless.

I received a notice from US Periodicals for the National Enquirer. I chose to pay in four payments .
I have made 3 payments and have not received anything except a bill for the final payment.
After reading all the other comments about this company I haven't attempted anything else.
I also agree that this company should be shut down by the Better Business Bureau. I guess
I will try to call them but I have been scammed.

I received a subscription offer in the mail today for National Enquirer from this outfit. I thought
the total mailing looked suspicious: PO Box, weird Phone No., computer generated forms, rubber
stamp return envelope, etc. Glad I took the time to check it out. Thanks to all who wrote in.

I'm very glad that everyone wrote their comments to let me and others know what has happened to you. But more importantly, have each of you reported to the BBB and the Arizona District Attorney to get some justice for all of us and to keep this from harming anyone else again.

I got my final notice from the National Enquirer basically threatening my credit if I don't send them the $108.00 for my subscription. Their response back to me when I informed them I had paid US Periodicals was basically "TOUGH LUCK". They don't seem to care that another company is playing them for the fool as well. All I can say is that I will NOT pay the Enquirer in addition to US Periodicals and because of the veiled threat to harm my credit, I will NEVER again purchase NOR subscribe to the National Enquirer. One thing I will do is see them in Federal Court if they even think about putting a negative remark on my credit report.

Total Scam. This company has an "F" rating by the BBB with over 100 complaints in the last 3 years. Their "renewal invoice" absolutely screams scam job to me, especially since I know exactly what my magazines' renewal letters look like. Their "invoice" is intentionally vague and misleading and I could easily see how this would fool someone who was not paying close attention. Avoid US Periodicals at all costs.

I renewed using the National Enquirer renewal form. I received a bill from USP indicating it was for my Enquirer renewal. Paid it...have now received two bills from National Enquirer...they have no record of my payment. And my subscription has expired. I called the number above and of course got a recording. Told them I will file a complaint with the Arizona Attorney General's office within 24 hours if they do not respond to my call. I've received calls from these folks several times over the years; but, refused to do business with them. How did they know I renewed my subscription with the Enquirer? Sounds like a good case of FRAUD and RACKETEERING!

You are all correct with your complaints! I am a former employee of this joke of a company! I'm sorry that you all have had the same scammy results! We are trained with a script to purposely misinform you of your subscriptions. You might have had some lines saying that, "Your subscription rates WILL be going up" and that "they already have on the newsstands", when in fact they haven't! Some of the employees have said that your subscription has already ran out when you possibly have 2 more years on it! I have heard countless times of people not even getting what's due to them and that pisses me off! I'm sorry I worked the 2 weeks I did there! As soon as I found out about their practices, and hearing what others were telling these subscribers over the phone, I left! Now they think they can get away with not paying their or former or current employees! This company is Evil, as well as the 2 owners with no souls or regard for others! Believe me, I will not stop fighting this company until they stop!
