When I purchased a pre-owned vehicle recently I also purchased an "extended warranty protection plan" through the dealership. A couple of weeks later I received a postcard (photo attached) in the mail from "us automotive protection services" stating that I should call a toll-free number to activate my protection plan. I discovered that this was a scam to get me to buy additional coverage from them and they were not affiliated in any way the company I had already signed a contract with for an extended warranty plan. They used a "hard sell" pushy tactic trying to sell me less coverage than I already have that covers my vehicle from "bumper to bumper" eventually I had to just hang up on them. Their plan was expensive and provided little actual coverage. I looked them up on the "better business bureau" and they had a large number of complaints against them.
