UPS Ground / packages not left even though I signed for drop off

1 Denver, CO, United States Review updated:

UPS is very inconistent with its drop off policy. My shipper specific allowed for package to be left with signature. Which I signed for, but the driver refuses to leave package. It is completely indiscriminate wether they leave it or not. FedEx always leave, and is much much better service. I can't believe I am saying this but so is USPS.

Don't use UPS ground, Union drivers don't care about customer service. UPS can't fire them so why try. FedEx non-union and great service

    I completely agree!

The InfoNotice they left specifically states that I can sign the back of it, and that the package will then be left for me. Even though I signed it the driver refuses to leave the package. Instead I have to drive 1.5 hours to the nearest location to pick up my package. Why have instructions like that on the back of the notice if they aren't going to follow them?
