Bill Roden, the owner of U.P. Charts is a scam artist. Warning! He will take your money and not deliver the products. He took us for thousands of dollars in a franchise scam. He operates a ponzi sceme. Takes your money to pay off the last order. Check with the BBB in Michigan and also search the company and his name for other information. Do not front him any money. His supplyiers have cut him off and he is trying to find other supplyiers. Do not front him money. The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
UP Charts is now operating under the name of Big Sky Charts and continues to scam people at boat shows. The sample images all have the UP Charts logo and both UP Charts and Big Sky Charts have identical websites:

Bill scammed me out of $1400 about 5 years ago at the St Louis Boat Show. I was young and stupid with my money and paid in full. Lesson learned, I now watch for this kind of activity and refuse to do business with people like him.
I just called his number today 4.26.12 and he has changed his "business" to The "new" UP Charts GLOBAL. What a joke.
Bill stuck me for $1, 000 on a map he never delivered. There are complaints all over the internet about this guy. I wish I would have researched him better before sending him money.
