Unlimited Vacation Club scam lies

Unlimited Vacation Club- BRI-000759

I tried to cancel within 5 days (as I was told I could)and they just ignored me and let the 5 days lapse. Once they got my money.
Justin Mora Guzman ignored my messages and when I tried to have him call me back he didn’t not.
I have not yet spoke to him after messaging him. I need someone from your company to call me back We are located in New Jersey eastern time. I need to be called when it is 3:00 here.
We were misled in signing this contract on our vacation to Mexico Breathless Rivera Maya on or around April 17 2017. They lead us to believe that we would have a VIP room every time we would visit Mexico and that the only thing we would have to pay is the amount for the meals each day. We paid a fortune to find what the representative lied to us concerning what we signed. When I called to book a vacation the prices were that same as if you would us on any other travel company.
I didn’t pay this amount to get 20% off
We are members of RCI and unsatisfied with this company! Why would we spend more money to buy something else, it’s because your representative misled us to believe that unlimited vacation club could be trusted
I have read many of the reviews concerning UVC and its seems as if it’s true that this is a SCAM.
UVC should be ashamed of themselves for misleading hard working people. It is horrible that they steal your money and they steal your trust.
I tried to cancel within 5 days (as I was told I could) and they just ignored me and let the 5 days lapse. Once they got my money.
I have been in touch and assigned PMG a federal and state consumer protection lawyers

Thank you for your time

Fast forward a few months when we attempted to book our first trip, we discovered that we had been mislead . We were assigned to this website QUALITYANALYST4@UNLIMITEDVC.COM, were I heard no answer for weeks after we went back and forth for weeks
I didn’t pay this amount $XX.XXX to get 20% off THAT’S ALL UVC offered us.
One day I was looking to find other people in the same situation as we were and the word “MISLEADING AND LIES” This is what I found “It's a scam. . . Do not purchase with this club! I went through training there and they teach you how to sell ''air''. The managers teaching us referred to this product as ''air'' and showed us how to sell ''air'' to clients! They sell a discount program. Members of unlimited vacation club receive 25% off hotel rooms, but if you go through expedia or any online travel service, you'll find cheaper rates than they can get you. The cost of this membership to stay at secrets, zoetry, now, dreams or any other am resorts is $50, 000 for a 50 year membership! If you continue to say ''no'' to the price, they will drop the price all the way down to $5, 000 for a 10 year membership! The more you say ''no'' the lower the price gets. It's all about the commissions to be made and their paychecks.

Am resorts / unlimited vacation club is a new company, just a few years old and it's the worst company i have ever worked for. I have been in the vacation industry for many, many years and i do own a vacation club membership, as well as a timeshare, but never would i buy anything from am resorts / unlimited vacation club. It's companies like this one who give vacation clubs and timeshares a bad name.

Many people complain about how timeshares and / or vacation clubs rip you off and don't work, but if you know how to use them properly, they definitely work. My husband and i, along with our family, have vacationed all over the place, including going to different countries, and i can honestly say that we would have never been able to go and stay in 2 or 3 bedroom suites if we didn't have our timeshare or vacation club membership. It's been great being able to travel and stay in luxury, but with am resorts / unlimited vacation club, to pay even $5, 000 upfront just for a 25% discount is crazy. They also use rci, the same exchange company we use, but to exchange my time to go someplace different, we pay $200. 00 and unlimited vacation club charges $549. 00 to make the exact same exchange! They rip you off in every which way they can and have no problem doing so. They don't have the consumers best interest in mind, only how much money the company will make.

The resorts that am resorts / unlimited vacation clubs have are absolutely beautiful, but to pay that kind of money to get only a 25% discount is ridiculous. If you do decide to join the club and find you have a problem, forget about it, you're on your own.

For the first time in my many years of being in the vacation industry, i had some problems with discrimination and defamation of character and i tried to resolve these problems by trying to contact the ceo of am resorts / unlimited vacation club, alejandro zozaya gorostiza, and after numerous emails and calls, i received no response at all from her. I also emailed numerous times with absolutely no response to the executive vice president, gonzalo del peon, the vice president of sales and marketing, collette baruth, and the senior director of sales, matthew mullen. These people in this company didn't even have the courtesy to respond to any of my emails just to see what was happening at the unlimited vacation club. It has been 2 weeks with no response from anyone. If they can't respond back to the people who make them money, do you really think they will respond back to you if you need some help? No, no and no!

There are so many timeshare and vacation clubs out there that have what am resorts / unlimited vacation club does not have like integrity, professionalism, compassion, and honesty. Do your research about the company before you ever give any company your hard earned money. If you go on a presentation and they say '' this offer is good for today only'' they are lying. You can go back anytime and receive the exact same package they offered you. They do that because they want to earn your business that day and for no other reason. This applies to both timeshares and vacation clubs. Even if they have you sign a paper stating you can not come back the next day, or any other day, and receive any of the first visit incentives, you can. Those papers are all bogus! They try and tell you it's a legal document and it is not.

So my advice to all of you is to stay clear from am resorts / unlimited vacation club. They are filled with empty promises and all they want is your money for purchasing ''air'' so they get a paycheck that week. Trust me, i worked there, but only for a few days. I quit after i saw how they were scamming the consumers”
I have been in touch and assigned PMG a federal and state consumer protection lawyers
I WOULD LIKE A REFUND
Thank you for your time

Unlimited Vacation Club unethical behaviour

We were suckered into this Unlimited Vacation contract on Sept 21, 2017. After we came home reading thru contract and it did not contain anything the sales rep spent 4 hrs selling, and googled them we panicked. We called Unlimited Vacation and questioned some of the "benefits" we were told in Mexico only to find out that is not what contract says. Before we signed contract the sales rep said "this will probably take you 3 hrs to read or our mediator can go over with you then you can read later".

OMG we are going through the same thing...NOTHING in our contract was what the salesperson said at Sandals Maroma in Mexico...they told us our vacation for two no matter where we wanted to go would always cap out at 1800.00 and that included our kids they could travel under the same conditions oh and always oceanfront guaranteed. When trying to book a trip to Cabos for December the vacation with a garden view with our so called club status would have cost us over 6000.00 WHAT? Now I am fighting like hell to get our money back and to stop any further transactions. Had to cancel my credit card etc. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. They are fraudulent a complete lie, misleading they basically sell AIR! Very upset so I feel your pain. I think we all should start a class action suit against this company totally bogus. I read for hours the other night the complaints on line they are everywhere! Disgusting! Good luck and keep your progress posted for your refund

Unlimited Vacation Club resorts membership - vacation

I have been reading the many, many complaints on unlimited Vacation Club! We too were roped into this scam, paying a lot of upfront money over $10000.00 and not receiving anything we were told we could use. Our first and only vacation in this club was a nightmare to say the least! There are no upgrades to those "nice rooms" they show you during presentation as a matter of fact we were downgraded to what we normally travel! You Cannot get a representative to give a direct answer to cancel membership, everyone "passes the buck" NO RESOLUTION and from looking at all the other comments this could be a very long journey! I saw where a group is organizing a class action suit against these criminals who take advantage of international travelers through Mexico, Jamaica, Dominican Republic and many more. I hope no one else gets caught in this trap! I do not have the time to give details on our entire situation but this has been a HUGE NIGHTMARE!

We are in hell as well a complete nightmare...Everything is a lie, fraudulent and extremely corrupt. Nothing they say is true...They told us our vacations would always be ocean front and cap out at 1800.00. When trying to book a trip at one of their so called secrets resorts for an a garden view room they wanted 6000.00 not including air...They also said our kids could take advantage of the same programs we are so upset. Also giving them a ton of money down. Now everyday for the past 4 days hours and hours on the phone emails fighting this i will not let this die. I also hope if there is any class action lawsuit to be involved i am beyond angry.

Unlimited Vacation Club we were not told the complete truth about the uvc program

We visited the Breathless Riviera Cancun Resort from June 9th - June 14th, 2017.
We arrived late in the evening on June 9th. Once in our suite, we received a phone call that we would need to meet with our transportation (Amstar) at 9:15 to confirm our departure time for the airport on June 14th. (Which we felt was a little odd, considering we had JUST arrived.
On the following morning, we got up early and hurried to locate the Amstar people so we could "confirm" our departure time. As we ascended the steps to the lobby, we were greeted by Marlon. He greeted us both by name and inquired about how we were enjoying our stay. We told him, well we had not been there a full 24 hours yet, but it was ok. We asked where we could find Amstar and he appeared to already know why we were there.

He was very congenial and inquisitive about us. He proceeded to tell us about the resort. He told us about the 3 areas of the resort, and about the party side. He took us to the side which was quieter and had less partying going on. He told us he could arrange for us to have to 2 nights on that side if we would like to check it out. (Little, did we know at that moment, that he was not giving us anything, we would have to sit through a 90 minute presentation and then we could have those 2 nights.

Marlon asked if we were married and we told him no. He said that if we sat through the presentation and decided to purchase something, he would receive a $125 bonus. He asked us to bring our passports with us to the presentation and it would only last 90 minutes.

We were taken to a cafe type room, where several groups of people were sitting at tables listening intently to someone presenting information. It was a little noisy and dark. But then again it was pouring rain outside too.
We were greeted by a female, who looked at our passports and told us someone else would be with us shortly. Then a male sat down with us, asked to look at our passports, asked us a few questions about how we were enjoying the resort, to which we responded, we didn't know, because we arrived late in the evening the day before and had not had an opportunity to find out. He told us someone else would be with us shortly and he left. Then, a female names Melisa sat down with us, asked us some of the same questions the last 3 people had asked, then wanted to look at our passports and told us to follow her.
Melisa took us to the SPOON restaurant, where we got a table in the back and she asked us if we had eaten breakfast and we told her we had. She proceeded to ask a series of questions about our vacations taken in the past and what we liked to do, how much money we spent on average etc. We now know it was part of her sales pitch to figure out our situation. She then began to "show us" that with their memberships, we could save money, After about 45 minutes she said she wanted to show us a suite in another area of the resort.
She took us to a suite, which she later told us we could use in retirement for a membership fee of about $189, 000. She told us we could spend 3 months in Cancun and 3 months in Costa Rico and on and on. She told us that our food, housekeeping/ maintenance and medical needs would be taken care of. We told her that was not something that would work for us.
At this point Melisa began to show us various plans called "Gold plans", The Diamond plan, unlimited bookings, premier nights, RCI, yachts, etc. She told us that with unlimited bookings we could make reservations at any of the UVC resorts for only $149, which was $140 concierge fee and $9 life ins. She went over several different plans with varying number of years and varying number of premier nights and was told repeatedly we were not interested, every time, she came back with another offer.
"Athena then joined us. She proceeded to tell us much of what Melisa had already told us. However, Athena was a little more "pushy" about it. She pushed for what was/ wasnt' appealing to us. When we told her we wanted to go get a bite to eat (it was now after 12:00), and discuss this between ourselves, she told us we couldn't leave and come back. She said the only opportunity she had to make "wonderful" offers was right now. If we left the offers would not still be available.
After more conversation back and forth aabout why we couldn't just make up our minds right then, "Mario" joined us. Same spill, same "pushy" attitude. Our 90 minute session had turned into 4 hours. We were tired, hungry and thirsty and had wasted 4 hours of our vacation time with these people. All 3 pushed us a little harder and Mario kept returning with another package deal.
Our heads were swimming. FInally, we agreed to an alternate plan. Soon after that a young man came out with an ipad for us to sign the contract.
There was not EVER a mention of a 5 day waiver to cancel contract. In fact, he told us to sign and tap on the yellow line and it would jump to the next place to sign. We asked for a copy of the contract and was told it would be emailed to us. (That should have been another red flag)
Please keep in mind, that we were at the resort for our anniversary vacation. This was my first time to come to Mexico. We did not have any cell phone service and did not fly all that way to worry about having to get on the internet to check our email.
Well, what we learned when we got home, was that the plan we purchased was not what we sat for 4 hours and had been told about. When we looked at our email ob June 16th, it was then for the first time that we saw the 47 page contract. It was there for the first time, that we saw that we were not getting any unlimited nights for only $149. But we would get a 25% discount when the rooms were available. Again, not what we were told!

On Monday, June 19th, We then drew up and emailed a cancellation letter to UVC because we were not told the truth and some very important information was not disclosed to us. We paid thinking we were receiving one thing only to find out that 's not what we were paying for.

We were contacted by Julia with Quality Assurance. He reviewed the terms of our contract with us several times. When we attempted to discuss our concerns he would just refer us back to the terms of the contract. He talked over my husband when my husband tried to talk to him. We told him we wanted to cancel the contract. He told us we could but we would have to pay the 50% of the entire contract. When we told him why we felt this way and our concerns, his attitude became arrogant and his response to us was, " come on John, you can't believe you would get something for nothing". No we don't believe you get something for nothing. But we DO believe we should get what we were told for 4 hours that we would receive. And by the way, paying nearly 10K for a membership, then finding out you stil have to pay 25% for unlimited bookings, plus the yearly maintenance fees and then to read in the contract (which was conveniently emailed to you because UVC doesn't want you to have a hard copy at that time in your hands) that these fees may increase any time without notice, is NOT exactly getting something for nothing.
Julian ended the phone call by telling us "luckily" the board was meeting that afternoon and he would talk to them that afternoon and see what could be done to resolve the issue.
Julian did call the following day and made a big deal that he had a resolution for us. The "board" had agreed to give us "0%" interest on the remainder of our contract. However, according to our contract, there was an addendum that after the 2nd payment of $2487.50, the remaining balance of $4975 would be payable at $112.65 for 48 months at 0% interest. Our original plan was to come home, reschedule another vacation with UVC, pay our remaining balance off in full by July 10th and enjoy what we THOUGHT was our membership.

After learning that we had been lied to about several issues regarding the membership and by not giving us a hard copy of the contract when we signed it and Julian's attitude with my husband on the phone, it appeared to us that UVC is being deceitful. If they were not, why not provide a copy of the contract when money is paid? Businesses do that all the time. If they are not being deceitful, why not tell us that want us to look over the contract to be sure all is in order. I will tell you why, because they are in the business of deceiving.

We have found over 300 reviews through Trip Advisor, Complaint Board, RIPoff and by googling UVC and over 75% of those reviews are negative with the same issues of which we are complaining about.

If this was all on the up and up, why did we not receive the offer from Julian via email in writing as he promised that day he talked to my husband on the phone?

We want our membership cancelled. We will NOT be using your Unlimited Vacation Club to travel. This whole mess has ruined memories of what was a beautiful vacation location.

Unlimited vacation club
Scam!
Do not sign anything with this company!
Do your homework!
Rip off!
B.S.
Lied to
Mislead
We were pitched b. S. For 5-6 hours, of pure bulls$%t
They call you family during the whole spiel because they want you to join the family of the lied to and the mislead. Do not even attend the meeting. They completely wasted a full day of our vacation, then our credit rating now is going to tank because I will not give another nickel. Fast signing of a multi page contract and they distract and lie to you during the signing and the person going over the contract with you speaks [censor] english, at best.

We had a nightmare when we signed up for UVC while on honeymoon in Riviera Maya last month. The director of UVC sales wouldn't let us cancel and even said we had waived our right to cancel which was really upsetting and risked ruining our honeymoon and the start of our lives together as husband and wife! Thankfully we have been released from our contract and can now laugh about an almost very expensive lesson learnt. If anyone is having trouble with UVC or any other timeshare for that matter and wants out, I highly recommend you immediately contact Ben at TSTransfer on b.gregory@tstransfer.com or +[protected]

Unlimited Vacation Club vacation club contract

My name is Kevin Finch, last November my wife, Denise, and I went to Dreams Tulum Resort for a wedding. On our second day (Nov. 9, 2016) there we went on an informational tour about their vacation club package in return for free spa packages and other resort promotions. Our 45 minute tour turn into a 4 hours, where we were given large amounts of champagne drinks and lots of promises of what benefits we could get from this club. we were promised discount bookings and discounted airfare along with 2 year membership in RCI. We agreed to sign up for their White Pearl membership for $7, 980. we place a down payment of $1, 995. Our monthly payments would be $157.94 after fees. we signed an approximate 8 page contract. Since we came home from our trip we have since checked our emailed copy of the contract which ended up being 45 pages long. I'm not a lawyer but this a large difference in what we were showed.
We have since learned about different clauses in this contract including being affiliated to their UVC Lifestyle Collection which have us paying affiliation fees which start after the second year at $249 and increase annually for the next 20 years to a total of over $10, 000 in fees. Also the fees in our original UVC contract also include fees which increase to an undisclosed rate as well. None of these fee increases were ever discussed during our tour at the resort. I'm sure this is done on purpose, because there would be no way we would have agreed to paying this much money to obtain discounts on our vacations.
We have repeatedly tried to get out of our contract with UVC, but they literally laughed at us and told us "we have you for the next 20 years", and there is nothing you can do about it.
We are trying to get out of this contract due to fraudulent claims made by this company and are looking for help on how this can be done. We are going to file complaints with BBB and Mexico's Federal de Protección al Consumidor as well with other agencies, but are looking to see if there are other avenues to take.

Unlimited Vacation Club membership

While in Huatulco, MX we we sold a Pearl Grey membership that promised cheaper rates on vacationing at all AM Resorts locations.

They sold us a promise of saving money on our future trips to their resorts. We were also promised a week at ANY of their resorts once we paid for our membership. When we tried to book this particular vacation, we were NOT able to book at ANY resort of our choice.

When we went to use this membership at all, there is zero savings. In fact, once we factor in the cost of flights, in many cases it will cost us more to use it than to use a reputable travel company, such as Sunwing, or Expedia etc.

We were tricked into spending $8, 000 USD for a membership that hasn't or ever will save us anyhing. It actually cost us $8, 000 USD for absolutely nothing. We could've had TWO very nice vacations for that cost!

Not only did we get ripped off, but a year after we bought this membership, our personal information was leaked to a company claiming to want to buy our membership for more than we paid. Can you say scam! UVC claimed to not have leaked any of our information, but this caller knew our names, cell numbers, address, and all of the specific details of our membership contract.

They're scam artists. If we could get our money back I would take it in a heartbeat, but they'll never give a refund. Google this company. Read all the bad reviews. Read about how people tried to cancel during the legal cancellation period of 5 days in Mexico and how they had to fight tooth and nail to get their refund and the policy cancelled.

Don't buy in to their lies.

If anyone is having trouble with UVC or any other timeshare for that matter and wants out, I highly recommend you immediately contact Ben at TSTransfer on b.gregory@tstransfer.com or +[protected]

Unlimited Vacation Club unauthorized credit card charges

I have had a membership with Unlimited Vacation Club for a year. When I tried to cancel in the beginning I was given the run around and no one responded to my request.
I have now realized that for the third time Unlimited Vacation has charged my account DOUBLE for the past 6 months WITHOUT my consent! I have had to call about this twice before in 2016. And now again in 2017! This company does NOT give any real discounts for any of the vacations. There are ZERO deals to be had here!
I also tried to log into my account and was denied access because I supposedly hadn't paid some other fee, lets not forget that they've been charging me double and STILL denying me access to my account!
I want my debit card REMOVED immediately from their website and I want my refund of the past 6 months AND CANCELLATION of membership with this company ASAP! When I try to call customer service, I spoke with Arlene in Miami and Cesar in Miami. Both of whom are suppose to be supervisors. Neither of them could send me a confirmation email about me receiving my refund, they also could not tell me why or how this company decided to charge me double without my consent! That is STEALING! I WANT MY REFUND AND TO HAVE MY MEMBERSHIP WITH THIS CROOKED COMPANY CANCELLED! This company is based in Mexico but they are so crooked that they have an LLC in Pennsylvania, where they are under both Apple Leisure Company and Unlimited Vacation, and those are just the few names they are under! I plan to involve my attorney at this point!

Unlimited Vacation Club canadian members requesting guidance after paying $12,000 cdn for uvc membership and receiving no help or discounts.

Date of Incident: Ongoing since we joined Oct 2016.
Client Name & Number: Rick Morris [& Missy Morris (Dingman)] DA1-000862

Description of Incident:
We have been looking to book a trip for the past 11 days (we are running out of time, as my husband starts work April 3rd 2017). We joined UVC in October 2016 and this is our first attempt at utilizing our membership and booking a trip. We've spent $113, 600 at your resort chain in 2 months (October & November 2016) as we were recently married at the Dreams Costa Rica resort. We went on a 2-week research trip ($6, 600 CDN), a 2-week wedding trip ($10, 000 CDN) we spent over $10, 000 CDN on our actual wedding, we brought 22 people to the resort for a week (approx. $75, 000 CDN) and also joined the Unlimited Vacation Club ($12, 000 CDN) AFTER the wedding & research trip had already been booked and paid for and were told nothing could be retro-activated or offered as Members to UVC. As Canadians, we are not receiving any help in utilizing this membership, booking a trip, etc. Everything that was "sold" to us in the presentation, is not what is happening now. Shawn Scruggs was the UVC Rep that sold us the membership. Here are some specific details that we are dealing with and extremely frustrated with:

- "Call one number and everything is organized for you".
- Since we are Canadian we are now being told we can only book the resort through AMI Resorts and we have to contact Lifestyles for our flights.

- "Find any package cheaper in CDN dollars and we will price match it, plus give a 25% discount".
- I found 3 packages that were MUCH cheaper than what we were offered. We were told "a price match is not available in our system".
- Then we called someone else at AMI and spoke to Manuela. She gave us sites to look up for price matches (Sunwing, Signature, etc) and said to send her the information we found and she would price match it by 25%. After 3 hours of research on our end, we sent in the info and were told the sites SHE TOLD US TO USE were not eligible for a price match.
- We asked to speak to someone (a supervisor, etc.) that could help us utilize our membership as Canadians (that we paid $12, 000 for) to actually find the discount we were promised and sold at the original presentation. No one was available at the time as they were dealing with another client and she told us someone would call us back immediately. Five hours later and we still haven't received a call back.

- The UVC Rep that sold us this membership (Shawn Scruggs) showed us a "last minute vacation" website where resorts post rooms they need filled for cheap so they don't go unused. We have contacted Shawn, as well as AMI Resorts, RCI and Lifestyles (every time we spoke to someone, they told us to contact someone else) and no one seems to know anything about this website. We have sent Shawn numerous emails and he has not returned any of them. When we first signed up he told us to contact him any time with questions or for guidance. We have not heard from him once.

- This is the least of our problems at this point- but we were told we would receive an RCI catalog when we returned from our first vacation to Dreams Costa Rica Oct 2016, to help us utilize our membership. He said, it usually takes a week to receive by mail. We never received anything. We went back for our wedding (4 weeks later) and visited Shawn and told him we still hadn't received it. He said, it would definitely be there when we returned, as sometimes it can take as long as a month. It's now March 11, 2017 and we still haven't received it. We called RCI and they don't know anything about an “RCI catalog:”.

Desirable Resolution:
- Full refund of $12, 000 CDN (as we paid this in full and have received nothing from the membership except a lot of lies, headaches, hours of useless work on our part and no outcome or reward so far). And being 6 days away from desired departure, still no vacation booked.
- Someone that is actually willing to speak with us and help us navigate this “discount membership” as Canadians and help us book a trip for an actual discounted price and make the $12, 000 CDN we spent worth something.

We had recommended a number of people to visit the Dreams resort in Costa Rica (including the 22 guests we brought for our wedding) and due to the poor service and treatment we have received as UVC members, we have not recommended a single person to take the presentation and in fact have detoured every single one of them from going to the presentation and signing up. Unless we finally see a worth in it, we will encourage everyone to avoid becoming a member of what we consider to be a scam. Because right now, that is what it looks like and has been for us.

We are ready to avoid the entire resort chain (we travel once or twice every year). We recommend a lot of places to co-workers, as we work in the Tv & Film industry and work with a lot of actors & colleagues that can afford & require extravagant, frequent trips). We have a large following with social media and have a lot of access to get our story out. I am celiac (a severe allergy to wheat and gluten) and had been recommending the resort chain to everyone with this disease because I was treated so well. Until recently, I have now been recommending the Karisma resorts that also specialize in this allergy, because I refuse to recommend AMI Resorts at this point. We have even had a few colleagues reach out to us about wanting to do a destination wedding and are looking for advice. We already told 3 different couples to avoid giving their money to AMI Resorts and have had no problem sharing our disastrous wedding experience and ongoing problems with the UVC membership with them (a hurricane hit the day of our scheduled wedding and it was a complete disaster since we were never given a rehearsal, etc. More details available upon request). We have been sharing our experience with everyone that has asked and are ready to expand and reach out to every and all social media outlets. Because let’s be honest, $113, 600 is a LOT of money to be given zero help or recognition in return. Would you pay a large amount of your savings in confidence only to receive NOTHING in return? I think not.

At this point, I have found much cheaper trips on my own (to Secrets, etc) using sites I used to travel with and was extremely happy with (Sunwing, Trip Central, etc). I have already reached out to a lawyer that is interested in our story and helping out Canadians that have been taken advantage of when traveling abroad. I would much rather resolve this issue on our own, as we cannot say enough great things about the staff of the Dreams Costa Rica resort team (not including the UVC team). The four weeks we spent there, we became very fond of a lot of the staff and them of us. We would love to go back to see our new friends and most of our wedding guests have expressed that as well. We originally all planned to go back for our anniversary (Nov 2017 - us and at least 16 of our guests), but since filling everyone in on our issues, none of us will be returning until we see a valid solution.

We will also be contacting the General Manager/Owner of the Dreams Costa Rica resort directly, so they are aware of how their clientele are being negligently treated and affected by the “Unlimited Vacation Club discount membership”.

Thank you in advance for your time, we look forward to hearing from you.

Missy Morris (Dingman) and Rick Morris

Hi same happened to us. Have you managed to cancel yet? We keep getting told we can not and are now considering just not paying any more money to them. We live in the uk and its impossible to speak to Amy one that is sensible. Its been suggested we email the Mexican government. Would love to know how you get on.

Hi, this happened to us as well, we put down $5k and were promised $120 a night at Dreams Riviera Cancun and once we got back home they didnt send us the contract until 12 days after we signed the contract and there were no details on there for the rates they mentioned to us the day of the tour. We denied the fees with our bank in November for the lies UV offered us and now we may go into arbitration.

How are things going on your end? What did your lawyer mention to you? I want to fight for my $5k I put down but I am still debating if its worth it. PLEASE HELP!

Unlimited Vacation Club they stated one price for rooms and rates and now we went to book and they are lies

My husband and I went to the Dominican Republic and we were sent to this presentation at UVC by AMResorts Feb 10th 2017. After 5 hours we were talked in to joining the club by them telling us that the same vacation we were on that we paid $4500.00 for would have cost us $2200.00 and so we only go on one vacation now we could do two. That was a great deal to us . So after a lot of drinks and 5 hours of lost of this vacation we signed. The next day we went back and said . We are a little unsure the room we are staying in now is only going to cost us $502.00 PER week? And the best one will cost $913.00 per week? They said yes . We asked why so low they gave us a whole song and dance about rooms are empty and a full room is better then an empty one. Ok so I asked for log in so I can see rates they said we had to wait 10 days for log in because they set the site for us with all our benefits that we got when we are the deal after tons of calls they gave me the log in 10 days later . I log in and all the rates are 6 times what they told us we would get for the $23, 149.00. We gave them a deposit of $1199.00 and $5487.50 total of $6686.50. That is what I need to get back. This was sold under false pretenses.
I have made many phone calls and sent emails I am told someone will get back to you in 24-48 hours and then they call and say someone else will get back to you in 24-48 hours . I have told them I want a full refund. I am getting the run around . All I want is a refund because I was sold something that is not what it was said to be. I check with my travel agent and price was the same with him as with them. So why should i pay all that money for same thing i can get on my own?

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE!

They are a BAIT AND SWITCH. LIAR AND SCAM ARTIST.
They told us if we took the same vacation we took when we were in Dominican Republic with there silver package I would have Paid $2, 200.00 with air.
I thought that was a great deal since I had paid $4500.00 for the same trip. We were told we could do two trips a year for what we paid for one trip.
So we got the Silver package. I called everyday to get the password to the web page and was told they would send it to me. After 2 weeks I was sent the password.
When we finally got into the website the Prices were higher then when I did not have the plan. I called they said they could price match that and save me a few dollars. WHY! Would I want to pay all that money to get the same rate I got before the plan? The $2, 200.00 Vacation was no were to be found.
I asked them is they’re any day or any time that they can match this price I was told and I was told NO… So they lied.

You sold me a bag of lies and it is all false ...
We were told we could rent a room from $502 .00 per week and when we tried to book we could not even get it for a night at that price let along a week it was a lie BEST ROOM IN THE HOTEL.. lol what a joke.
I called them to cancel I sent them a text I wrote them no answer... but someone will get back to in 24 to 48 hours.
Not what I want to hear
I will write, call and keep on this until I get my money back.
Everyday I will tell two friends and they will tell two friends and so on and so on. In one year they will not be able to sell water in the desert to a man with a pocket full of money .
Give me my money back NOWWWWWWWW, , ...

We shall see. We also signed in February while at Punta Cana. Called to cancel today. Awaiting fallout. Same story, promised us the moon and stars verbally. Not in our contract.

We are in the same position. I am making payments on a vacation club that gives me nothing. We were promised 3 weeks with RCI at $299 a week and we have nothing with RCI to deposit so therefore we have nothing to exchange (LIE #1)
We were told we could use our vacation club 365 days a year for the next 10 years. When looking at the website to book a week over christmas, it shows we are blacked out and cannot book for holidays (LIE#2)
We were told we could use their travel agency to book hotels and flights and had 1000 points a year to discount our prices. When looking to book in Florida, it will only allow you to use 150 points at a time and the prices WITH your points are the same if I book thru any other travel site which are FREE (LIE#3)

Have you had any luck getting a response. I am curious if their are enough of us that feel cheated if we could start a class action law suit.
you may email me at UVCisaSCAM@hotmail.com

Unlimited Vacation Club cannot login

I paid upfront enough to be able to book my free 7 nights. Now the club just locked my access to prevent me from booking. I have to spend another hour on the phone like I spent already just to figure out what and when I can book. All associated companies like RVI are totally useless as they offer you vacation miles from the beach. Looks like scam to me.

Unlimited Vacation Club vacation club timeshare

Coercion and Fraud, I'll keep this brief. Visited Mexico in August 2016 (I planned this for 6 months, a week prior to the trip I lost my job). I was met in the airport by representatives of the transportation company who present me with a brochure a map and offered a "tour" for a refundable $20 deposit. Once I arrived at the Dreams Resort, I was met with at least 3 different people aggressively setting appointments for this "tour" that would last 1 hr which turned into a whole day! The tour guide pitches at breakfast, whisks you off to other sister properties for the ooh ahh effect and brings you back to the stable where all the sheep are baited by Grandiose Posters of other vacation properties, champagne and bells - its loud it hot, etc. I tell the VP or whoever she was I was unemployed at least 5 times witness present. She asked what I used to do and what my salary was. She presented options for which I told her I wouldn't qualify, I didn't even have enough money on my debit card for a fee! Anyway, she had me fill out an application and I told her it would get denied because I had no income! she took the application asked for ID and debit card disappeared and came back - as predicted one declined and the other denied. The application she said would be used to run a credit check only so just use my former income to fill the placeholder since I didn't know what my unemployment amount would be. Lo and BEHOLD! This is what they used to qualify me. Fast forward, I contacted the Bank that issued a credit card associated with this transaction, unemployment documentation proof I was unemployed at the time and a police report and other support to the bank they used to get a down payment for this mess! The bank closed the account due to fraud based on proof and documentation. Here's the clincher...UVC placed a levy on my bank account day after thanksgiving for nonpayment on a product or service I never used, which was secured by a down payment deemed fraudulent by the issuing bank. NOW do I take this to the MEDIA? an ATTORNEY for illegal seizure of Government Funds for basic needs amongst other illegal and deceptive acts? Let it be known that it is 11/27/2016 rent is due on 12/1/2016 God forbid there is a delay what will that mean for me? People work very hard to have a vacation, what type of human being do you have to be to know your doing wrong and continue this? I pray the Universe returns every bit of karma to them all.

This report by a former employee says it all they have to be stopped! complaintsboard.com/complaints/am-resorts-un…

Unlimited Vacation Club dishonest and deceiving

Unfortunatly Im one of many scammed by this company. My story like many others starts with A few hours of sleep from traveling to destination. We signed up for presentation breakfast that turned into 4 hrs. After no's, lots of mimosa, and promises of vacations with our family of 6 signed but never fully put the 25%down. Again not sleeping thinking about this I changed my mind. I spoke with the "manager" of front desk and told him not interested and wanted the $100 cash I put down. I tried to enjoy the rest of my vacation my finacee and I had planned and paid alot of money for. When I arrived to the states I checked my account and there were 4 charges from this company that I am now trying to get out of their "membership".Getting money back&canceling has been a nightmare. I want to tell my story because after research, I am 1 of hundreds of storys all similar. I am not sure how they are allowed to continue to do this. It started with the woman checking me in they are all in this scam. There were many after me signed up for presentation breakfast. I'm sure there are many great vacation clubs out there but this is not one of them. Very disappointed in Secrets for promoting this diceiving and dishonest circumstance.

Unlimited Vacation Club vacation club / timeshare

We were very happy with the breathless resort in punta cana, on the second day we had some problems, ones we got to the front desk, same moment vip concierge asked us if we yet had a welcome breakfast, then he made a "reservation" for next morning, til, then he asked us if we got all of out coupons and offered us $100 for spa massage, we did not know it was for time/share unlimited club vac thing. Next morning when we come to front desk, we were advised about 90 minutes presentation and all! Whatever we decided to go and check it out! In the beginning everyone was pretty nice, guy who initially dealt with us was professional and not pushy, they showed us around and all! Then we came back to the office and then all magic begins! I was in sales for a while, so i knew how it will go, now ! We did sign! The reason we did is we were shown specific numbers on specific resorts! Those numbers made a lot of sense! Since if we paid 1300 for breathless per person, they showed us $640 for both! Right on the ipad of one of managers! They set us up all around! Francisco guy who dealt with us even promised to book my sister vacation, for that magical $640 to make sure we signed, of course when we came back 2 days later to book it, he said sorry guys but membership is not ready, you will be able to do so, ones you back home and you should get your welcome email with username and password! Now! We did get our email with password - was pretty fast and impressive ! Bbut! Prices are nowhere near, to what this clowns showed us! Whatever was $640 for 2 people! Looke like more then 1200! And so on! Most value as francisco said was in extra vacation section of the site! There are no section on the site, and rep confirmed that! Pretty much, resorts are good, but i have no idea why they allow this person to work there! Terrible experience!

Feb 2017 we got scammed too. Different person different Resort same line of BS. So I have to assume this is what they teach them to say when they are selling this Unlimited Vacation Club. So when I got home I lost my mind that I had been miss lead and lie to so I starting telling my story all over the internet. I was told that I better watch my self because it is in my contract that I can not bad mouth them >>> what ? you lie to me and I can"t say anything because in your small print you put that in? I guess that is why Obama signed the Consumer Review Fairness Act. Even if they put the gag order in there fine print it over rides it . There is a problem with any company that has to put that in the fine print .

Unlimited Vacation Club rci resorts and am resorts

May 22, 2016, Cancun, Mexico
Stayed from May 22-May 27 at Dreams Sand Resort in Cancun Mexico with daughter and granddaughter. Was approached by Unlimited Vacation Club personnel before bags were even brought into facility for us to join them next morning for breakfast and all three of us would receive a free spa treatment. We joined them at 8:30 the next morning and 4 hours later, I was a member of the Unlimited Vacation Club at the tune of $16, 100.00. I paid them that morning $8, 999.00 which included $899.00 processing fees. When I returned home I began searching their web site, I could not find a lot of the information to verify their presentation. I sent an email on June 6, 2016 to the address provided me and three days later it was returned "refused". I began trying to reach someone by phone to voice my concerns with my membership. This is now three months later. Long story short, there are too many emails, correspondence, complaints, etc. to attach to this complaint. I have a record of everything. Bad news, this is a big scam. Anything that is conducted in Mexico, is under their law. This company has no cancellation policy. If you sign their so called contract, there is no way out aside from hiring a lawyer who can practice law in Mexico and bringing a law suit against them. They have their bases covered as I consulted a lawyer here in the United States concerning this mess. It is really hard to believe these four and five star resorts will let these scams be conducted on their premises. Stay away from these people, they are after your money.

All I can say is WATCH OUT. My wife and I joined the club in Puerto Vallarta last November and ever since then it has been one issue after another. We tried to get them to honour a lower price at one of their properties offered through another provider and they made life miserable for us. We then visited the Sunscape Resort in Curacao and although it met our expectations once we were there the hounding to upgrade our membership (Gold) to the next level began. After many discussions and negotiations we came to what we thought was an agreement only to be told the following day that head office did not approve it. As such we elected not to take their offer. We now have been offered a special deal to pay off our membership at a good rate I must admit which we are considering, however we now have a further dilemma with them that is really pushing me to sell my membership. We made reservations in May based on their promotion for ten (10) days at the Secrets Resort in Panama and have just been told that the resort will be switching to a Dreams Resort when it reopens just prior to our arrival. When I asked as to when the decision was made to switch all I was told it was recent. No one switches the function of a major resort on a whim as planning had to be done months in advance as well as obtaining the appropriate approvals. We should have been notified prior to booking our reservation which was one month prior to them closing for the renovations that this was about to happen. I am sure it will be a nice facility however it is for families and my wife and I were expecting an adults only vacation. When I enquired about this I was told there are three options. Fist off is to keep the reservation as is. The second is to cancel at no charge and finally the third is if we want to change locations we would be responsible for any additional fees. When I asked about the airfare portion which I have already paid for they basically said "so sad so bad'. Based on this we basically only have one option and that is to accept the reservation as is. This company continues to send out advertisements on specials that are so restrictive that I would really question their integrity. I am out to sell my membership now but when posting comments like this I am sure it will be difficult yet I can become a lounge lizard at their resorts and advise people to be careful as their business ethics are less than acceptable.

Unlimited Vacation Club scam and misrepresentation

We arrived at DREAMS RIVIERA CANCUN and were asked if we wanted to have breakfast at their new sister resort BREATHLESS RIVIERA CANCUN, DREAMS would pay for the taxi to/from, it had just opened and they wanted people to see the resort. and we would receive a gift certificate for the spa. We agreed.

The next morning we arrive at BREATHLESS RIVIERA CANCUN and was greeted with "ola's" and given the red carpet effect. We meet with a representative, Donna, who brought us to breakfast, offered drinks, talked about our vacation habits, and took us for a tour of the property. It is a beautiful resort. Then we go to the sales office where all the lies begin. We were offered a "premier gold plus" package with oceanfront view king room with a living area and hot tub on the balcony, access to helicopters in Punta Cuna in the Dominican Republican, yachts, two weeks FREE at ZOETRY ( a resort where the "stars" hangout) and access to any and all resorts ANYTIME with no blackout dates for forty (40) years. And all we would have to pay for is food and drinks which would range from $60 to $100 depending on the season. Wait, and we could get up to twenty (20) rooms for family and friends. After saying "no" multiple times because of future financial obligations and we have a timeshare with RCI, Donna calls over her sales manager, Christian. Christian tells us that UNLIMITED VACATION CLUB (UVC) will buy our RCI timeshare and lower the cost of the "premier gold plus" package, and he would move us from DREAMS (family resort) to BREATHLESS (all adult resort) that same day. WOW! Sounds UNBELIEVABLE! Well, it is. And, you will be offered alcoholic drinks throughout their sales spiel. Your representative will drink with you, maybe even do a shot with you.

After we arrive back home, we decide to call and make a reservation to the same resort (BREATHLESS) for my partners birthday. This is when we learn the truth about UVC and that we had been scammed! It's all lies. You WILL NOT get two weeks free, you WILL NOT get a rate between $60 and $100 dollars, you WILL NOT be able to get (20) rooms and on and on. What you WILL GET IS SCAMMED and MISREPRESENTATION. Nothing that was presented to us exist.

After taking nearly $20, 000 from us, we are going after whoever we can via consultation with an attorney.

IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO JOIN IN WITH THE FIGHT TO RECOUP YOUR MONEY...PLEASE RESPOND.

We are sickened that we simply go to Mexico to enjoy what little time we get to enjoy time together to be taken for so much money.

And to add insult to injury, we simply called BREATHLESS Riviera Cancun directly to check how much it would cost for us to stay for four days and three nights...and the difference was a measly $100.00 (without the package). So, here is your advantage for buying a package with UNLIMITED VACATION CLUB/AMresorts.

I cannot believe that we cannot go after them. Such a horrible experience and everything is lies. I finally took their calls for their intro set-up and at the end they tried to get more money out of me! Unbelievable. I want nothing to do with these sham resorts. Please include me on any civil-action.

I have just finished doing battle with UVC over my complaint with our upcoming vacation in Panama. Although it took a considerable amount of my time and concerted effort I am happy to say we got what we wanted. On numerous occasions I was being handled by a Customer Service Representative or their Supervisor and the basic position they took was "we apologize for the inconvenience". After going ballistic I wrote them saying I was sick and tired of dealing with people who cannot or are not allowed to make decisions and if I didn't hear from someone who could make a decision the next person they would hear from is my lawyer. I also said that I would continue with my vacation as it is all paid including airfare but I would sit outside their sales office and advise people not to be pressured and watch for their scams. Surprise surprise within 48 hours I got that response from someone who could make a decision and a favourable one at that. It is all done now but buyer beware. Hopefully after my recent experience we will be treated accordingly. Watch for my review on Trip Advisor when we return in the last week of November.

We fell for this last week for $14, 000.00 and cancelled within the "hassle free" allotted time. They told us that since we had used portions of the $500.00 leisure cash, that it would cost $2000.00 to cancel since that is the amount the resort charges them for $500.00 in leisure cash. Then they told us we could use the $2000.00 to purchase a $5000.00 plan. We cancelled that too, as we were about to miss our flight. We spent 3 days of our 5 day vacation dealing with this. The first day, the sale and the other 2 trying to cancel this "hassle free cancelation." We are home in the USA now and still battling this nightmare. We have no problem paying the $500.00 leisure cash, even though the spa and excursion cost less than that. I also think feeding people alcohol while doing this hard sell is most unethical.
When we got home and read the reviews, we were sickened to our stomachs. Not to mention THIS vacation to get screwed over was made hellish from day one. Buyer beware! Just say "NO!" Instead we are are left to fight this total ripoff with dishonest people!

We just came back from Riveria Maya in Mexico and fell for the UVC Membership ourselves. I feel like an idiot now reading all of these reviews. I would like to be a part of whatever claim to get out of this also. I could stop paying on it also.

Unlimited Vacation Club cancellation of membership

We attended a presentation in May 2016. We were told by Sonia the sales manager at Breathless that we could cancel the membership BEFORE the first payment was made. Her response was "but you will not want to cancel". Our first attempt to possibly use the program would have cost far more than what was presented. We can take that same vacation through another membership for much less. We have contacted UVC a minimum of 6 times to opt out of the program via phone calls and e-mails. No one returns calls or emails. What I have found is that language becomes a huge issue when trying to cancel or request info on how to get out of this program. The last person we spoke to was David Rodriguez who assured us he would call back with the necessary information or cost to opt out of this program. Still waiting, there has been no return phone call. An e-mail was received from Mark R. Proulx with a cash out incentive program 5% discount to pay off the balance. I responded by e-mail that I wanted to cancel the membership and requested direction on how to do this ...no response received from Mark R. Proulx or any other UVC employee.

My wife and I joined The Unlimited Vacatiuon Club in July 2016 while staying at Secrets Maroma in Cancun, Mexico. Upon signing the contract the whole thing didn't sit well with me. On Saturday July 9, I called the office in Miami to notify them that I was canceling my membership. I followed followed up the phone call with written email to the company on Monday July 11. A few days later I received a text notifying me that the company was in receipt of my email, that I'd be contacted by someone within 24-48 hours. On Sunday July 17, I was contacted by a woman from the company who was present with us during the signing of the contract. She tried to sweeten the deal. I had to explain that this was not within our financial plans. She said that my $10, 649.00 deposit would be credited back to my Visa card. I awaited with great trepidation...I can happily report that the money was credited back a few days after and I am no longer a member of the Unlimited Vacation Club!

I am not happy with this scam club! I just received a call from the unlimited vacation club concerning my vacation at Secrets Playa Bonita in Panama. Apparently the resort is now closed for construction and will be closed until October. Except, my vacation is in August for my birthday. They had to have known when I booked in May that this resort would be closed. Reconstruction ideas for a hotel are not implemented overnight! The resort has been closed for 2 days and now they call. Then they tell me that they have good news. They were able to help me out by making arrangements for me to stay at the nearby Westin. But, if I didn't want to take their offer I could cancel without any penalty. First of all, how are you helping me? I booked the resort I wanted. I booked an adults only, and the Westin is not adults only. The plane tickets have been purchased to Panama and will cost me to change flights and there is only a month left to make other plans. They show no regard for the inconvenience and keep telling me how they are assisting me. It is bad enough that I could have booked my vacation through bookit or cheapcarribean and paid less, but now they seem to have set me up. I asked to speak with a manager or executive and they won't give me any names. The so-called supervisor won't give me her last name because according to her it is against company policy. Something needs to be done. I am willing to join others in a lawsuit if there is one. Please let me know.

Unlimited Vacation Club membership plan

My fiancé and I recently vacationed in Cancun and were pitched the Unlimited Vacation Club. We were interested in Zoetry Paraiso de la Bonita. Our sales rep said the current rate is $160/person per night. The manager, Victor, said "$160/person per nights?!? No, maybe at Christmas, not now. The rates are $95/person / per night". A week later (past the "cancellation deadline", we actually received our log in information, so that we could verify the rates, before making our deposit for the wedding, the rates were at least double what we were quoted- easily $250/person per night in July.

We called to cancel on the basis of misrepresentation. We were told that we would receive a phone call within 48 hours. Five days later, no call. We called again and were told once again to expect a phone call within 48 hours.
