I have also received a call from this company offering you a discounted vacation in exchange for positive word of mouth advertising. I was very skeptical at first and still am but somehow they managed to talk my credit card number out of me. They have a very convincing web site, use universal studios logo and they send you the travel info by email as promised. Of course they called on a saturday and their customer care line is not open on the weekends. I strongly suspect I will find out this is a scam, but can't find any definite proof. I would love to hear from anyone who actually got a vacation out of all this. The package includes nights in Orlando, Daytona and Cancun. I feel so stupid. Canceled my credit card just in case, but it looks very unlikely I will be able to get my money back if it does prove to be a scam!

Universal Explorations is a COMPLETE SCAM! When I confronted them about all the changes and inconsistent information they tried to tell me that my package expired. As you can see below it doesn't expire until 2012 FROM THEM! [censor]S! All I wanted was to get what I was promised, that was it. I wasn't expecting a miracle just what agreed upon. And FYI John you are full of ***** None of these vacations are cheaper than ANYTHING online. I could get a 2 week vacation all inclusive for cheaper than what I would have spent 2 weeks at these crappy offers.

Here is what I sent them and they wouldn't do a damn thing about anything! All I wanted was what was agreed to.

Good afternoon,
This email should be sent to a manager.
I spoke to a representative over the phone today and I am sending this follow up email based on our conversation and the emails attached. I am very upset regarding the terms and conditions constantly changing. The woman I spoke to on the phone re-iterated that this is a non-refundable vacation. However, even by having a few discrepancies the agreed non-refundable clause is null and void.
First – as shown in the initial email I was received (which is included at the bottom of one of the attachments) I receive the following:

Your travel itinerary consists of all the following for up to 4 guest:

>5 days & 4 nights Fun filled accommodations in Orlando, Florida
>4 one day Universal Park, Disney World or Islands of Adventure park passes
>1 Week rental car provided by Enterprise
> 3 days and 2 nights in Daytona Beach, Florida
> A Bonus 4 days and 3 nights in Freeport, Bahamas

Based on the Online Itinerary it states:
Orlando FL - 5 Days / 4 Nights
This portion of the package includes
5 days 4 nights at a full service hotel
minutes from the Walt Disney World Main Gate
Plus 2 passes valid for 2 days admission for:
Universal Studios or Islands Of Adventure

DAYTONA BEACH - 4 Days / 3 Nights
This portion of your package includes
4 days / 3 nights at a full service
beachside hotel directly on the
World's Most Famous Beach + Bonus Casino Cruise

BAHAMAS CRUISE AND STAY - 4 days / 3 Nights
This portion of the package includes cruise to and from the Bahamas and
4 day / 3 night stay at a full service
hotel on Grand Bahama.
Find out why getting there is half the fun! While onboard your cruise to the
Bahamas, you can work on your tan on one of the spacious sun decks, take
a dip in the pool, or compete in our limbo contest. Indulge in our endless
buffet meals at breakfast and lunch and get in the Caribbean mood with
island music. On your return trip, sample our lavish dinner buffet, catch a
show, or take a spin on the disco dance floor. Why not try your luck at the
Las Vegas style casino, complete with plenty of slots, blackjack, table
games, poker, roulette, and more? Or choose from bingo, a video arcade,
and exciting live entertainment.

On Grand Bahama Island, you will discover miles of white beaches and a year-round tropical climate. During the day, enjoy sailing or snorkeling. Play a round of golf or explore the markets and International Bazaar. Soak up the Caribbean sunshine and relax.

When the sun goes down, experience the island nightlife. Treat yourself to an evening of fine dining, music, and dancing. Try your luck at the exciting casinos or just enjoy the soft tropical breeze. If you're looking for a little island flavor, the Bahamas is the place!

Based on all this data and the phone conversations here are the discrepancies:
- Passes to Disney World (amount varies) – online/email
- No mention of any charge for the cruise transportation to and from the Bahamas – online/email
- Car rental (I was told I could pick it up locally) – email/phone
- Flight % discounts – I was told verbally on the phone twice that it was set at 75% off. I made sure to verify that I ONLY Paid 25% off the flights

With these above discrepancies my friends and I cannot afford the vacation which is the ONLY reason that I agreed and made the purchase. You should have copies of all my phone conversations (especially the first initial phone conversation). If you do not then the only discrepancy that no proof of is the flight discount percentage and should be the ONLY factor that I have to accept.

What I request is either a Full refund or honor all the above. (to repeat…)
- 4 one day passes to Disney World
- No charge for the cruise to and from the Bahamas
- Car rental – I can pick a rental car up in Toronto, Ontario Canada and drop if off in Orlando Florida with no additional charge

The car rental alone will save the group over $1200 and allow us to even go now that the flight percentage has changed from my initial confirmed conversation. Which was the ONLY reason I agreed to purchase the vacation package in the first place.

The woman I just spoke to on the phone today around 10:30am was very patient and I understand that none of this is her fault as I said to her numerous times but I would like to re-state it again. Clearly there is a vast communication issue between employees and it is causing a lot of aggravation on my side.

So I ask again, please either issue a FULL refund of $700.00 or honor the above mentioned. Please know with written proof of incorrect terms the non-refundable contract is null and void and small claims can come into affect.

******************************************* Previous Emails ***********************************

*****,

The information you stated about the rental car is correct you do have it for 7 days and can pick it up and an Enterprise near you and drive it down. You do not receive $500 spending money, you receive a coupon book that has a $500 value that you can use while in FL. Your vacation package does not include 4 passes it is only 2, you can either do 2-2day passes to Universal Studios or 2-1 Day passes to Disney. The cruise to the Bahamas is free but you will have to pay the port and service fees which is about 139.99 per person round trip. There is no one way free flight to the Dominican, we are sorry if there was some type of misunderstanding. Please contact us with any further questions or give us a call if there is any type of misunderstanding.

Thank You for replying so quickly.
I read below the “save up to 75% on the airfare”. I was told I did get 75% off because I specifically said “so we only pay 25% of the flight”, both ladies I spoke to said “yes”. So, I would like to verify that the rest of the information I was given over the phone (both conversations I had).
I was told I have a rental car for 7 days, I was told that I could pick the car up in Toronto, Ontario Canada, drive it to Floridaand drop the car off in Floridawith no additional charges (all I pay for is the Gas).
Also, I was told that I would receive $500 in spending money – this was told to me by the first lady I spoke to.
Also, Initially I was told I would receive 4 one day Universal Park, Disney World or Islands of Adventure park passes. On the link sent on the bottom email it says “Plus 2 passes valid for 2 days admission for:
Universal Studios or IslandsOf Adventure”. I want to be sure I have all the information so I can book our trip (4 of us exactly will be going in August).
If there is a choice between the 4 one day passes and 2 two day passes I would want the 4 one day passes to Disney World (so we all can go together).

Please know that we are all very excited to go, I just want to financially plan the trip and we know exactly what is going on that way it is also a lot easier on your end for when we book.
If giving you the exact type of vacation I would book would help here it is:

- Drive from Toronto, ON to Orlando Florida (stay there for the 5 days), then take the free cruise to the Bahama’s (stay there the 4 days), come back to Florida on the free cruise, take the free one way flight to Dominican (all inclusive) and then we pay (with the discount) flight back to Toronto, ON.

Thank you very much for all your help.
Sincerely,

********************

*****,

You are able to choose any three locations that interest you, it does not matter if they are included in your original package or on the list of alternate destinations. Regrading the airfare we are not able to look up airfare prices until dates are booked in our system, there are many different factors that go into us coming up wit a price. We do encourage you to look at prices for the time you are looking to travel and book off of those dates because once we shop around the price will be going down because we do save you up to 75% on the airfare. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Good afternoon,
I was wondering a couple of things regarding the below vacation…
1) I want to verify that I have the option to can change the Bahamas’ package section to an Alternative Location provided by the attached.
2) Can I switch the Daytona Beach for one of the Alternative Location lists options?
3) I was told over the phone that if I booked with you I would get a 75% off flights to all destinations is this still correct?

If I do still get the 75% off all flights during these vacations would you please be able to give me a quote for how much it would cost per adult to go from Toronto, Ontario Canada (Pearson Airport) to Orlando Florida departing August 18 or 19?
I Just want to have a rough idea of how much we will be spending.

Thank you for all your assistance.
Sincerely,

Mr. Tony Robles is trouble. I looked up the addresses posted on page one... One in Lutz and the other on TPC Blvd. in CHEVAL, which is one of the better "upper middle class" areas in the Tampa Bay Area. Anyone who went to school with Mr. Robles (the owner) or his wife, Nga, knows that this under-acheiving duo would never be able to afford a house in these areas. It doesn't surprise me that they're scamming people at all.

I've heard from others that apparently the hotel bookings (if they've been made at all) are not up to much; the 'cruise' is actually a ferry ride that anyone can book and doesn't cost that much and the passes to the parks are not valid. Please beware; do try the BBB, they helped me enormously and I recieved a full refund. Keep complaining - it pays off in the end.
Good luck

Well, we are from Canada and have been scammed! Looks like we are paying for it too and can't get our money back...our bank told us as well. That was in March of this year and we are paying for this darn thing. I said well, if we are paying for it, then we will use it. Has anyone actually used these crazy trips and found them to be ok? Please let me know, thanks! Michelle

Jane,
get in touch with Better Business Bureau. I did and I recived a full refund from Universal Explorations. They have a really bad rating with BBB, so they are aware of the scam that they are pulling.
If youve recieved information from them you will have address details and phone numbers; give all of this to BBB along with any other details you can remember. Dont give up! Be persistant - they have not delivered what they promised, so you are entitled to your money back. You are right, we all live and learn, but we do not have to roll over and take it without fighting back.
If you need any advice or support, please get in touch.
Good luck, hun x

Hi, I too have lost all my money. I was burgled and after 5 months got a some money back. Unfortunatley Universal Explorations called me when I was still feeling low after loosing all my jewellery, which where my only heir looms and all my treasured memories. I have a 14 & 16 year old and was saving for a holiday. I quickly went on to the three resort sites they offered me and their web site and all looked fine. I knew it was a gamble but the called inspired me to take the kids to Orlando and have a huge holiday whilst they still were ok hanging around with mum! The travel adviser didnt call back and all went quiet, all my emails bounced back and the phone number didnt work. I emailed the 3 resorts and told them they were being used in a con. They emailed U.E. and they called me saying all was ok and gave me a direct line to Natalie Ross, all I had to do was phone later with my dates and she would handle it personally. This was in February and have now worked every shift and job offered to me and have had 3 days off in 3 months. Well guess what no answer again. I thought I hated the 40 year old looser who entred my house and stole my memories, but now I have a greater hatred, The staff at Universal Explorations and all the other company names it trades under. At least the burglar needed drugs, where as the employees are willingly and knowingly ripping people out of the well earned savings. They only thing they have in common is they both have got away with it and they sleep at night. We live and learn, but I didnt enjoy telling my kids that we are not going to America afterall . Jane

Hi My name is Jane, I am a swimming teacher, mother of two and have worked all year taking on every shift to pay for a holiday in America for us. Universal explorations called me, unfortunately when I had just received money from when I was burgled 5 months before. I was still felling very low and the offer of cheaper accomodation and 4 universal tickets seemed just what I needed to go for the mega holiday, rather than the long weekend in Disneyland Paris I had planned. They took $798 as arranged after I had looked up the 3 resorts they were offering and their web site. I new it was a risk but the sites looked good. I was to receive a call from their travel arranger within 7 days, but when no one called I tried to email. The e-mails just kept bouncing back. I emailed the three sites and told them of the con. They inturn call universal and told them, so I received a call from Universal to tell me the phones and emails were not good and all was ok. Natalie Ross on ext 284 had all my details, no problems, just get my dates and call back. It has now gone quiet again, no phone numbers work and I have to tell my kids that we are not going to america even though I just worked 3 months on the trot with 3 days off!
I would just like to say that I thought I hated the burglar who entred my home and took all my jewellery, heir looms and all my memories, more that anyone in the world but I now hold a greater hatred, The staff of Univerdal Explorations. They know they are ripping people off and are doing it willingly. But unfortunatley, just like my burglar they will get away with it and sleep at night. We live and learn, but did it have to be at my childrens expense. x

I AM PROOF THAT THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! I ACTUALLY WORKED FOR THIS STUPID "COMPANY" BEFORE I KNEW THAT PEOPLE WERE NOT GETTING WHAT THEY PAID FOR. THEY SOMEHOW GET PEOPLE OF CANADA AND THE UNITED KINGDOMS INFORMATION SUCH AS THEIR NAME, DATE OF BIRTH, POSTAL CODE, PHONE NUMBER AND EMAIL ADDRESS AND MAKE US CALL THEM TO SELL THE TRIP. THERE WERE MANY THINGS THAT MADE ME BELIEVE IT WAS A SCAM BEFORE I ACTUALLY FOUND OUT. THEY HIRE KIDS AS YOUNG AS 14 YEARS OLD TO WORK FOR HOURS WITH NO BREAK. WE HAVE A SCRIPT THAT WE HAD TO READ OFF OF WITH MANY TYPOS, THERE IS A PART IN THE SCRIPT WHERE WE HAD TO HAVE THE PERSON HOLD SO WE CAN "TRANSFER THEM TO THE SHIPPING DEPARTMENT" WHEN REALLY THE PERSON SITTING NEXT TO US WILL TAKE THE CALL AND SUCKER PEOPLE INTO GIVING THEM THEIR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION WHERE THEY WOULD THEN ENTER IT INTO SOME SITE ON THE COMPUTER WHERE IT WOULD TRANSFER THE MONEY FROM THE PERSON'S ACCOUNT TO THE OWNER'S PERSONAL ACCOUNT, AND WOULD THEN BE GIVEN A FAKE CONFIRMATION NUMBER. I FINALLY GOT THE PROOF ONE DAY WHEN I HAD TO CALL A WOMAN IN CANADA AND EXPLAIN TO HER THE VACATION PACKAGE DETAILS AND SHE TOLD ME THAT THE SAME COMPANY SELLING THE EXACT SAME TRIP PHONED HER A YEAR AGO AND SHE GAVE HER INFORMATION AND $500 WAS TAKEN FROM HER ACCOUNT AND SHE NEVER RECEIVED A VACATION. I ASKED HER IF SHE WAS SURE IT WAS THIS COMPANY AND SHE SAID YES. i KNEW SHE WAS TELLING THE TRUTH BECAUSE I DIDNT EVEN READ HER THE INFORMATION OFF THE SCRIPT AND SHE ALREADY KNEW EVERYTHING THAT WAS IN IT. I TOLD ONE OF THE "MANAGERS" WHAT THE WOMAN SAID AND SHE TOLD ME TO SAY THANK YOU AND HANG UP IN THE WOMANS FACE. I WAS SO FURIOUS THAT THIS WAS GOING ON THAT I QUIT. I TIRED TO REPORT THE COMPANY BUT EVERYONE I SPOKE TO MADE IT SEEM LIKE THERE WAS NOTHING THEY CAN DO. SO I NOW WARN PEOPLE ON SITES LIKE THESE ABOUT THE SCAM AND HOPE THAT THEY DO NOT BECOME A VICTIM.

Hi all - I was conned by U.E, at the beginning of April. They withdrew £550 from my account without my permission.
My bank were absolutely useless and did nothing to help me, but I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Nashville and because of them I got a full refund.
I suggest you do the same - google them, set up an account for yourself (its free) and then explain exactly what has happened to you. They have a lot of muscle in the U.S, and they were the only people that I could find to help me.
U.E are well known to them, and they are aware of the practises they use.
Don't be surprised if you get a call from U.E; I did, and they turned really nasty, threatening me with a court case and calling me a liar. This only goes to show that they are not a legitimate company, and if they start to threaten you with court action, it is only to scare you as they dont really have a leg to stand on. Don't lose your temper with them (however angry you get!) just log everything that they say to you and pass this on to the BBB.
Don't give up; if they conned you into giving them money, then you are entitled to get it back - I did.
It may take a week two to hear back from BBB, but dont lose heart; they really are very good.

Good luck

P.S - John - youre such a knob... wonder who you work for? If they are such a wonderful company how come they get a 'F' rating from the BBB?

Four days ago, I received a call from Universal Explorations offering a free vacation package in exchange for positive work of mouth. My husband was skeptical and told the sales representative to give us first an e-mail what are the conditions, but she managed to sweet talk my credit card no. & my consent. As promised, after they have got the money, they send the travel info on my mail . When I go thru the website and there were so many complaints, I immediately coordinated with my credit card company to stopped payment. Since they already got the money, you cannot get a refund, and they will play the edited conversation with their sales representative that you totally agree to the terms. In my case, I was at first very hesitant in giving the no. and my husband whom they included at first in the conversation and they knowing that my husband is against the idea, they did not include that in the conversation that they have stored. I told them at this time that I was out of job and I was informed that they cannot refund it. I feel so stupid. Is there anyone out there who had the same experience and got their money back. Please advise me what I should do. I am so helpless and this is a big money imagine losing US$498. I would appreciate getting your input. HELP!

Dear Mr. ###, or do you prefer dumb? Or shall I call you Mr. Dumb ###?

Clearly you did not have a dealing with this SCAM of a company who they call themself Universal Explorations or you could be apart of the whole scam. I wouldnt be surprised if you worked for them. I KNOW MANY people who got ripped off and scammed by thid company.

1st- they lie about the travel. It is one thing if travel is NOT included but when it is CLEARLY misrepresented then YES, I have a problem with that. They tell you that you will save 75% off air fare but they use expedia!

YOU CAN SPEND HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS IN TRAVEL ONCE YOU ARRIVE IN THE USA! ALL TRANSPORTATION YOU MUST PAY FOR. TO AND FROM HOTEL, TO THE TIME SHARE, MEXICO ETC...

2nd-the $500 coupn book is a JOKE! It is JUST for discounts such as a FREE hanburger if you buy 3 COMBO meals at normal price..e tc.. UNIVERSAL EXPLORATIONS MISREPRESNTS the coupon book! They lead you to believe that it is $500 worth of food but it is NOT it is silly discounts to places that are NOT near where the hotels are etc.. or fast food.

3RD-They fail to make CLEAR that you are responsible for hotel tax and fees which by the way costs $40- $58 per NIGHT.

4th- When you want to travel.. it is NOT always available! you need to go by the TIME SHARE COMPANIES schedule! Wich by the way is not near any of your destinatio0ns and the only way you can get you 2 tickets to Adventure Islands or Universal.

5th- Ocean front view? Of course if you want to pay!

6th- If you bring the 3rd and 4th Guest, Oh my, you will pay extra for EVERYTHING! The hotels charge more, the tickets cost $300 for theme parks.

7th- Sun Casino Dinner crusie... what a joke!

Extending your vacation passed the year, of course you can for a CHARGE!

You are paying $498 bucks for what!?
hotels? they suck!

coupon book? it sucks! you can get this coupon book at any welcoome center!

Sun Casiono dinner Cruise what a joke!

getting kissed by dolphon will cost $125 per person!

resort! what a joke! nothing is included! sure you have access but it will cost you!

Unfortuatly, you DID get ripped off. They lead you to believe you won, then they take your credit card, which by the way, you can NOT get a refund. They lead you to believe your travel is included but is NOT and there is ALSO a lot of travel expenses once you arrive in Florida, NOTHING IS INCLUDED! YOU MUST PROVIDE ALL YOUR TRAVEL! EVEN TO THE BAHAMAS! the coupon book is just that... a coupon book that anyone can pick up at a local welcome center. NOTHING IS FREE! You may get a dollar off at Burger King if you buy one whopper or buy one meal get another at half off. The hotels are NOT as nice as described by the rep that calls. You have to provide transportaiton to the TIME SHARE THAT YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO IN ORDER TO GET YOUR 2 UNIVERSAL TICKETS which by the way is NOT in the same city! THIS IS A TERRIBLE RIP OFF!

BUYERS BEWARE!

RIP OFF!

HI, just to warn you, they do rip you off! i got ripped off the same way, and whats worse i cant get my money back. THe credit card company cant do ### to help you because of course, they would love to have you pay them money. They tell you that they offer you the holidays, and they make it seem like everything, including the flight is included, but in fact, it's not included, you have to pay for flights yourself, and some taxes for the hotel and god knows what else! Even their telephone line is cheap. Once you give them the credit card info, they take out the money right away, without a second to wait, and once they do that, no matter what you do or when u cancelled your credit card, they would have already goten the money. I tried cancelling my credit card the next day, but it turns out that they already have goten the money out! you're not the only one to be fooled by them
