Unscrupulous sales tactics as well as lying and high pressure to make sales
I first spoke to Matt Anders of Universal COiN & BULLion in October of 2014 when I responded to an add they had in "The Rifleman" (An NRA Magazine) I am a Benifactor with THE NRA and am now speaking out about pulling support of The NRA due to Unscrupulous advertisers such as Universal COiN & BULLion. I have had many dealings with UCB from 2014 through 2020. There was a problem with Matt lying to me that I realized in 2017. Ended up having to ask to speak to his boss (Mike Fuljenz) which I thought would straighten Matt out. Thought we were back on track for a while only to find that they will not return my calls or answer my e-mails for the past several months now. I went to another coin dealer to get prices on the few coins I was trying to sell only to find that they are worth about 1/3 of what I paid for them. I told the dealer that gold was under $1,200.- an ounce when I purchased these coins and asked how they could go down while Gold prices have risen. He showed me a chart on two of the coins and I was shocked to see that Matt had to have charged between 250 & 300% mark up at the time I purchased them. Based on this information I have been overcharged from 2014 to 2020 by aprroximately $400,000.- If they had called me back when I called I may never have realized how much of a rip off they really are. This is a Texas sized scam of a company. Mike Fuljenz & Matt Anders should either refund to me their excessive charges or buy my coins back. At this point only Mike can call me as Matt and his brother-in-law Adam have just lied way too much to me. If not, I have put together all the lies told to me by UCB and will be sending them over the world wide web under the heading Universal COiN & BULLion, A Texas sized scam. I am also sure that I am far from the only one ripped off by UCB so after one week if I have not heard directly from Mike Fuljenz a Class Action Suit will be pursued separate from Matt's pending legal problems.
Desired outcome: Hopefully Mike & Matt will have a shred of decency and make this situation right. Hopefully Mike will be calling within a week so this situation does not have to be escalated as noted above.
Coin Rip Off
This coin company, Universal Coin & Bullion, is ran by a crook named Mike Fuljenz who has ripped me off before at another Texas coin company. He apparently claims to be a "consultant" for coin companies in Beaumont Texas, but he only "consults" for those he makes money off of. I was rolling over an IRA with UCB, when I decided to buy some silver eagles from them . I asked my rep. what would they buy with that amount of money, mistake . I was put on with Justin and given about a15- 20 minute, yes 15-20 minute sales pitch on a 1908- D $5 Gold Indian MS-63 for 2639.00 . I got online and saw this coin at 1975.00 and 2095.00 . I said no 3 or 4 times before being transfered back to the original agent . I did buy the silver eagles as they were competively priced, but stopped the transfer of the IRA . Don't be pressed into a rapid decision .

Over charge/take adv of elderly
These people sold my 75+ yr old father-in-law over $40, 000 in coins that are not worth close to what they charged him.
They talked him into putting the charges on his credit cards. He then had to take out a mortgage on his home in order to
pay off the cards. They charged him $4, 002 for a 1911 $10 Indian Gold with a rating of MS64. That was in April of 2007 when the price of gold was much less then today. The fair market value on that coin today is around $2, 600.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I purchased coins through Universal Coin and Bullion and found them to over charge for their coins. They were NRA recommended and I gave them a shot. I terminated my relationship with the company when they were dishonest in a coin transaction. They told me they only had one hard to find coin and I paid a premium for it. Well they sent me the same type coin, same MS rating, but different grading company with a different ID number ( Karma finally got them, and if they did it once, they did it more than once). They then gave me a hard way to go for the full refund when they were caught. They had more than one coin in this grading and type but Justin out right lied on the transaction The person above is right about Justin. I purchased items from him and he was less than honest. He also inflates the prices, and gives you the hard sell but he is just making money for the company and that is business so i can not fault him for business I told him I was looking for a long term relationship but he decided to take the money, so I took my business elsewhere. I found 2 other companies who I have been doing business with and feel like a valued customer. With Universal, beware, business is not what it seems and I would go else where for my coins and Bullion.
