Received an Unsolicited phone call from a woman who without identifying herself started asking to speak to people that are not even members of my household. Her accent was almost decipherable at first. I felt like she was calling from a foreign country. I told her that I could not understand her and she simply continued to ask the same questions with that same accent I could not understand. She was asking me questions of a personal nature about me and others. She attempted to justify her outrageous tactics by saying that some person not in my household she had some legitimate business with. Bottom line I felt violated and spied upon. Plus I am sure she was lying to me because I have never done business with her or her company and I am sure that this was some scam designed to prey on the very elderly and infirm.

I member of my household had a very similar thing happen today. A rep "Jessica Steel" looking for a fictitious family member of my spouse of 20 years, making it seem there was an urgent issue with a family member. I called my spouse concerned we had an ill long lost relative. Caller ID showed a different company (Novolink) name than the person I spoke to cited. I asked that the call not be recorded and asked 2 times for my number to be removed from their records. I have documented this in case this bizarre incident recurs. I think this behavior is deplorable. What type of recourse do we have for behavior like this?
