After making payment arrangements with this company, I paid them what I was told I owed. They are now harassing me and telling me I owe them more.
I have paid this company $4141.00 to date. The original debt was $3968.00. This company has reported this debt to Experian as "paid in full/closed". As of now, they claim I owe them another $253.00. When they call me, they harass and threaten me, fail to identify themselves as debt collectors, then proceed to repeatedly hang up on me when I request an itemized billing and payment history. I have told them they are no longer authorized to withdraw any money from my bank account. They have told me they will take money from my account if they want. I have not been able to verify the amount to which they claim I still owe. As of today, United Recovery Group Inc. has "turned over" my account to "SRL and Associates". Upon investigation of said "SRL and Associates", they reside in the same office as United Recovery Group Inc. and are not a registered business in the State of Utah. Upon my account being "turned over" to "SRL and Associates", my alleged balance has escalated to $453.00.
It amazes me that this company is still allowed to do business in Utah, or anywhere for that matter. They have an "F" on the BBB website for numerous similar, if not identical complaints.

They have also been on "Get Gephardt". What a company to be proud of!

Beware of anyone from this company: Mel, Benji, Rob, Jerimiah
Take your case to court instead of falling into the trap I did!
BTW: "SRL and Associates", the company that isn't even registered to do business in Utah has got an "F" too!

These clowns at URG are total scammers, do not give anyone want money based on someone calling you saying that they will have you arrested, take you to court. A legitimate company will give you the information of the debt, these guys are scammers. I don't know where they get names fro n but if they can't get you to pay up they sell your name, etc too another company who will call you and try to scan you. I block them on my phone, just like I did today.

Wow, I wished I had looked into this sooner...they called me in September 2015 and I fell for it. I have paid a total of $1500 but last friday they did not withdraw the $100 that was authorized every 2 weeks till March of 2017. It was strange because they were on it every payday. Two weeks ago they called me saying my account was in good standing and they wanted to do a settlement offer of $900 and I save $1000. Now it makes sense, they must of known that they were caught and were going have to shut down. I didn't go for the settlement and said I would just like to continue with my scheduled payments. I had to call my bank and stop payment just in case. At least my bank is giving me a provisional credit of $600.

I have checked my credit report, and have a score of around 750 with no collections listed. These calls began on February 17, 2016. I have gotten at least one a day for each weekday. I have blocked the numbers, but still receive automated messages in my VM from [protected]. I have dealt with a legitimate collection company in the past. They are required by law to tell you who they are collecting on behalf of and the exact amount owed, and it is also illegal to make threats. The company I dealt with had a professional website that came up at the top of a Google search. When I did finally find URG's site, it was obviously set up by an amateur. (Don't be fooled by a polished looking template. An amateur site doesn't necessarily look like Netscape circa '97 anymore.) These people are nothing but scammers who use your credit history to come up with a credible cover story to phish for your banking information.

Constant harassment due to a relative's issue. Uncooperative and unwilling to listen to reason. And, they end their calls with 'have a blessed day' ... really?

It is amazing that a company that represents such high quality in what they do, can be so mean and distrustful in there actions. We hired them to do collections for us back in 2007 and 2008. They response that we have gotten from them is just so unjustifiable. I can't believe that out state can let them continue to take advantage of insient people as well and business. They are rude, they lie and there way of keeping track of money that the people have paid them is wrong. They are using this money for there own personal use, because we aren't getting the amount of money that we contracted them to collect for us. They ignore us, they are rude, and disloyal to us about what they said that they could do for us. Maybe we will SUE them, because they don't practice what they preach. They are showing a good example for the type of business that they are in. it's companies like this that makes a bad name for the good company's trying to make a honest living

These ### are the lowest of the low. Tell them to go to hell, hang up on them, send them a cease and desist letter and hire a good attorney to sue them if they continue to harrass you after you receive the confirmation of delivery of the cease and desist letter.

I have been receiving calls from "the head Manager" Tatiana, She was verbally harassing me and slandering on the phone, refusing to let me talk to anyone above her. And when I called back and got the receptionist, I asked to talk to Tatiana's manager, and the girl told me, it goes the "Owner, then Tatiana, she has no manager, she's it!" Like I'm gonna believe that, I just hope the owner knows who he as working for him/her, and people shouldn't be afraid to call an attorney, I'm not. I'm speaking to mine right now. I am really surprised after all these complaints and there obvious disregard for the Law, that Utah and the BBB has dropped the ball, and haven't shut them down yet, or the IRS. Very disturbing, to say the least.
