United Food and Commercial Workers Union Local 770 review: they are now refusing to give me my pension 1

I been trying to get my pension from them for months now. I had 13.5 years in that union then I was non-union. So I had enough hours and years vested to be eligible for my pension. I worked at Vons for a total of 26 years. Vons is going to start paying me a partial pension in about a month which of course I qualified for. I was also about to start getting my pension of 13.5 years with the union and they said last week it was going through just waiting to send me my final paperwork. Now on Saturday 03-03-2018 I receive a letter from them stating now that I dont qualify for my pension which is a lie. They said in the letter that I did not meet requirements of enough hours worked in a certain time frame and also that I did not work 1500 hours in covered employment within a 3 year period.

This is all not true. They just trying to get out of paying me and keep my money, This is very dishonest. I worked long and hard in those 13.5 years with the Union and that money is rightfully mine not theirs to keep ! I started at Vons in the union April of 1969 and was in the Union until October of 1982 which is 13.5 years so I am vested.

I was part time in 1969 and 1970 then I was full time all the way up to 1982 and then continued with Vons full time until end of 1995. Then I retired from them after 26 years. I have acquired enough hours to meet all necessary requirements. So once I received this letter I called Kim Boyd who was the person handling my pension her title is pension analyst. I let her a phone call stating my unhappiness about what they are trying to do to me and told her in voicemail have a supervisor call me or I am going to sue them.

I am currently now looking for a pension lawyer online and soon I will hire one. I am 66 years old and I have many health issues now. I need to have 2 surgeries very soon but now I cant because they refuse to pay me my pension money. This is putting my health at risk and also is causing me a lot of stress which is bad for my heart . I will give them exactly one week to contact me if they do not i am taking the to court and going to sue them for my pension money and all court costs and undue stress they have now caused me.
