United Financial Systems Nonpayment on accounts

United Financial Systems in Florida is a rip-off company. They deducted $582.00 from my acccount monthly to pay on my accounts. They paid off three of the five. When one account got down to $590.00 and $1800.00 on another, they withdrew money and did not pay on the remaining accounts. They will not answer the phone nor respond to emails. Right now they have over $1000.00 of my money and will not talk to me. Carolee claimed that they were researching my account to see why payments did not post to my accounts, LIE!. A class action suit should be filed against this company for the hardship they have put on their customers, causing your credit to receive a negative rating, stress and frustration. They are so terrible until they will not even respond to the Better Business Bureau. I have turned them over to the Attorney General of Florida and will file my own suite.

Anyone out there? We have got to do something. The BBB in Florida said they would not respond to their phone calls. I did not hear from the Attorney General Office. Class action law suit is needed.

United Financial is a rip-off company. They still have $!, 164.00 of my hard earned money and I want my money back. Carolee promised to call em back when she finished researching my accounts (lier). She never called.

I was also ripped off by UFS. I thought that woman with the name of LYONS was on the up & UP! They missed payments, then payed them and then missed it again. I was constantly on them. The finally sold? or tranfered me to "caprocessing". But they still owed me $582.00.
I agree that something should be done to get our money back, but who really cares out there in Florida> Not the BBB or Attorney General.
I would like to email "totally tasha@gmail" but what if it is another scam? Who do we trust!

Totally Suckered!

I also was offered to have the more than $3, 200.00 they've owed my creditors since October sent to me providing I sign the same assinine release. I'm also in favor of a class action lawsuit. The Attorney General's Office is well aware of the litany of complaints lodged over the years and it's got to be just a matter of time. Meanwhile, we're out thousands of dollars!

I am having the very same problems with UFS as well. I have filed complaints with the Attorney General's Office as well as the Better Business Bureau. I have even forwarded a complete copy of my file/communication with them to First Lady Michelle Obama's office. They tried to get me to sign a release/confidentiality/settlement agreement this morning and I almost wet myself from laughing so hard. This company is a scam and needs to be stopped. Right now they have $702 of my money and I am not backing down. We need to begin a class action suit against them.

United Financial Systems Stolen Monies

Years ago, I placed my confidence in this company in an effort to save my credit. For years things went smoothly; however, between June 2010-December 2010, I was actually robbed of approximately $6, 000. United Financial Systems was actually deducting payments from my bank account but not applying the payment to my creditor. In the process of all of this, I was receiving harassing calls and letters from my creditor. WHAT HAPPENED TO MY MONEY? THERE IS A THIEF OR THIEVES IN THIS COMPANY AND THE COMPANY IS AWARE! I have proof that the company is aware that my money has been stolen; however, they have not given me the common courtesy to inform me that my payments were not being made and the money had been stolen. I expect to be contacted within 10 days by UFS with information that MY MONEY will be refunded to me or my creditor, WITH INTEREST. Otherwise, I WILL NOT HESITATE TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION. I REFUSE TO BE A VICTIM! Elaine [protected]@yahoo.com

On 1/4/11, I initially posted a complaint regarding United Financial Systems and how this company stole approximately $6, 000 from me. Although they have not fairly and respectfully contacted me, I have been more than fair with giving them 10 days to respond to my complaint. It has been 11 days and they have not made any effort to contact me. For anyone effected by this company, I strongly urge that you go forth with any legal action at your disposal. The company does not care about us, as consumers, or how we feel about having our hard-earned money stolen from us. THE COMPANY IS A SCAM! In response to HUGELY Disappointed and Phyllis H., I appreciate your responses. For those parties who are interested in taking legal action, please email me at: trixiepooh@yahoo.com. I used United Financial for a while. They would not pay things on time even though the money was debited on the same day of the month. I paid off the accounts and shut the accounts and they still debited out a payment. They emailed saying they would refund the money, then never did. After six emails and many phone calls, I have had no response from them. They took almost 300.00 out of my account and will not respond or refund the money.

I had 2 accounts with UFS (4 credit cards). They charged me $ 23 a month for each account. It's unbelievable they are not charged with fraud, theft and any number of other criminal charges. Unlike others, UFS did apparently satisfy my creditors enough to stop harassing phone calls prior to sending my accounts to Consumer Alliance. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needed debt management. Happy to say I only have 4 pymts left and I'm done. UFS still has the money due back to me for completing the program. $ 580. Don't know if I'll ever see it though. Good luck in your pursuit of monies owed to you.

I also used UFS and have had a lot of money stolen as well. What was the monthly fee? I am filing a complaint with the Florida attorney generals office. If you do it before Jan 20, 2012 you will get hopefully some money back. They are to distribute restitution in March and in August of this year. I am trying to fill out my paperwork and calculate the monthly amount that I paid them for their awful services. I can't remember if the monthly fee was $59 or $69. I think it was $69. Can anyone confirm this?

I too have been ripped off from UFS...they have $842.00 of my money since August/October of 2010. They have promised a refund numerous times and it was nothing but lies. Don't understand how they are getting away with fraud. They automatically withdrew $421.00 per month...for several years...paid late consistently and had all kinds of late fees on my accounts in the beginning- it has been nothing but a nightmare. This company needs to be investigated - they have no explantion for their non-actions...I'm sure they have more of my money that I am unaware of ...very difficult to track how they paid my creditors...PLEASE SOMEONE DO SOMETHING TO GET OUR MONEY BACK. Wow they hit you in a big way. Lots of us have issues with UFS. My accounts were finally straightened out on 12/4. My account was transfered to Consumers Alliance. So far they have made all payments on time, are quick to respond to questions and concerns and I can go to their website and check my account. You should Try to contact Carolee @ UFS.
cestabrook@unitedfinancial.org
I was able to get her to respond to me. It's possible you haven't heard because it's such a large amount of money. What they
are doing is at the very least a breach of contract, bank fraud & imbezzlement as far as I am concerned. I am going to start a lawsuit to get my rewards money back that they are holding. They told me I would get it back when I completed the program with Consumers Alliance. That is BS. I'm not a UFS client so I want my money. Good Luck. I hope you are able to get this resolved soon.

United Financial Systems THIEVES

I started with this company to help my credit but it has flushed it down the toilet, practically. They've continued to draft 6 payments from my account without paying a dime to my creditors. So on top of the money they would draft I had to try to make minimum payments to my creditors. Trying to get in touch with someone from UFS with some explination is the biggest joke and waste of time. Every Friday at least a few hours on the phone, a few emails and letters with absolutely no response. They've stolen $2, 600 and made a wreck of my credit. Sounds like I'm not their 1st victim, but I'd like to be the last. Love to go after their ### in court...anyone in?

Sounds like you work for these shysters. You'll never take "yes, I have a signed contract" as an answer. The only entity in violation of any and all agreements, written or otherwise, is this fraudulent company.

YES, UFS is in breach of contract. They promised to take a withdrawal and pay it to my creditors within 7-10 business days. The last payment they made was 9/7/10, they proceeded to take two more payments for a total of $1288 and did not pay it out. I have worked everything out with my creditors and am now on individual payment plans with them, but I WANT MY $1288 BACK! I filed a complaint with the BBB and the Florida Attorney General's office. The AG sent me a response saying there was nothing they could do! What is our next step? These people are the worst kind of ### and I want to see justice!

I also dealt with UFS and after payments stopped going to my creditors, for the months of May, June, July and August, I finally got results in Steptember where all payments were caught up. Since, September to now December 10th no payments have been paid to my creditors. I was now contacted by a new financial institution and I hope all this is going to be resolved, since I am down to my last few payments. I also am out $2619.00 if they don't pay the creditors. In the meantime I have made several payments in hopes of not ruining my credit, since the late payments were reports to the credit bureaus. I hope all this is resolved soon, since I am so close to being out of debt. I also signed an agreement that after finishing the last payment, I would receive a reimbursement. I don't know how many of you dealts with a Ramey Draves but she's a thief and liar as well.

I have lost 6 months worth of payments as well and contacted the BBB ending with no resolution and my case being closed. The only correspondance that I've received after multiple phone messages left and email sent was a letter from UFS stating that they have transferred the remainder of my term to another debt consolidation company (even though I stopped my last payment to them already!) That was it, no addressing their theft of my $1, 128!
PLEASE READ: WHAT WE ALL NEED TO DO IS FILE AN ONLINE COMPLAINT WITH FLORIDA'S GENERAL ATTORNEY'S OFFICE. This is very simple- just google "Florida Attorney General" and look on the first link that shows on the page. You should see a link for COMPLAINTS. Click on that and follow the instructions. You don't need to fax or email anything to them at this point. They WILL ONLY INVESTIGATE COMPANIES IF THEY RECEIVE MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS FROM PEOPLE FOR THAT PARTICULAR COMPANY. I already received a response, which is something? ****PLEASE, ALL OF YOU- DO THIS NOW!... We can at least say that we tried everything then, am I right?

Apparently I am one of the "fortunate" ones. My contract with UFS was completed in Oct. 2010 after 5 years of struggles. Things changed for the worse with them in 2008, payments would be debited but not post at my credit card company. There is a middleman (Banko or Vanko) involved that UFS sends payments to for transfer to the credit card companies. These intermediaries are the truly shady ones - they'll find out what your due date is, then hold onto your $ as long as possible to collect interest on it... It's a crock. UFS does (or did) make monthly payments per the contract, they do NOT hold all your payments.

I wish I could tell you it will all turn out. My debt is ZERO finally, but I have not received my "Cash Back Award" after being assured that it would be Fed Exed to me (over a month ago)... Now NO responses to emails or phone calls. I think they've made a run for it. Unfortunately, they are located in FL which means they are untouchable. FL protects businesses of this sort. Good luck getting anything out of them short of a Class Action Lawsuit.

Has anyone tried contacting the State Attorney General about this company? There has GOT to be a way to recover the money we have all lost! I'm clear up here in Washington State (yep I was REALLY stupid) but I thought they would ACTUALLY help me. Instead I'm like the rest of you, they've taken my deposits and not paid a dime for the last 3 months. Credit score is in the gutter, out the money... sad thing is that there is virtually nothing I can do from the other side of the nation. I've given up after a weeks worth of calling 10 to 15 times a day. I feel so bad for all the people that believed in these ****ing ###s. My final question is, are these people STILL soliciting business from people? And if so... who is going to STOP them? Get out while you can, put a stop payment on the auto-withdrawal like I have and try to settle up with your creditors! Mine have worked with me after I explained the situation. If there is such a thing as karma... I hope these swindlers get theirs sevenfold.

I am in the same situation. They have taken at least 6 months of payments that they haven't made a single payment from. I am now getting calls from all the creditors and have to figure out how to pay them, and my credit score is going down the drain. Of course no matter how much time you spend trying to contact UFS, you won't talk to anyone. No luck in getting even an email back. I also reported it to the BBB but have heard nothing back yet. They have about 300 reports now to look into for UFS.

United Financial Systems Disaster

In March I contacted U.F.S. to consolidate my debt. I initially spoke to a representative named Felipe. I found him to be forgetful and he kept mixing me up with 'another New Yorker'. I requested to speak to someone else. I was connected to David Bishop. He was very slick and efficient. Everything was set up, papers faxed etc.

After that it has all gone down hill. At this point, I have had $600 withdrawn from my account in March, April and May yet only 1 credit card co. has been paid. And they have only been paid once. I have called repeatedly and have received many different explanations. I have been told that even though the money is deducted on the 26th of the month, it takes 2 weeks to be sent out. But that doesn't explain why it was NEVER sent. They say they have sent it out and that the credit card compnies are lying. On the other hand the credit card companies tell me these consolidation firms are crooks. I have not gotten a straight answer from anyone. but the credit card companies continue to hound me for their money. I requested some proof that the money was sent or paid to the credit card. I was told it would take accounting 1 week to give me that info. Well, 1 week has come and gone, no proof.

An account manager named Jamie Lyons has tried to contact me several times but I teach and can't always answer the phone. I always return her calls and leave a messege.

When I started this program I was up to date but I knew I couldn't maintain that. That's why I contacted U.F.S. Now, I am not sure where most of my money is, I owe a fortune in late fees and my credit rating is worse then ever. They have not done what they are supposed to be doing. They are not paying my creditors. Are they crooks? Where is my money?

I would never recommend this firm to anyone. It has been a financial disaster for me.

No luck here either. I again was told my rewards money would be returned at the completion of the program. I argued
1. I am no longer a client of UFS so they have no right to hold my money.
2. They were in breach of the contract NOT me therefore contract would be null & void even if I was a client. Their response was that I am a client. The new company is acting as their agent. BS I spoke to 2 different people at Consumers Alliance and was told that once I was turned over to CA I no longer have any ties to UFS except for money they owe me. CA did not receive any monies when the took over the accounts. And of course the issue of breach of contract was not even responded to. Set a letter laying out my next steps. To me the most likely is a small claims suit for breach of contract. Thoughts?

I have had no luck with Carolee through email this week. I am panicked right now, and am moving forward with Steve's advice from getoutofdebt.org and shooting one last email to Carolee, threatening UFS by going ahead and reporting to the FTC, and my local consumer affairs, as well as my local law enforcement as advised by my bank.
Phyllis, have you had any luck this week? Anything good come out of this for anyone this week so far? Thanks!

My husband and I have had many, many horrible experiences with this company. To sum it up:
1) We started this program right after we were married and were told it would take 4 years to complete. We had the payments automatically deducted each month. Never paid late - never missed a pyament. It took us 5 years. When I called to ask why, I was told they NEVER tell people how long the program will take. That's a lie - I was told exactly four years and upon review of other complaints, others have had the same problem.
2) There were many times our cards were not paid and we had to call and find out why. They were paid usually within 30 days - but I never understood why it took that long to pay them and why they were late numerous times (a couple of times even 60 days late).
3) You know that refund check you are supposed to get for completing the program that's equal to one month of payment? Well, we completed the program successfully (FINALLY!) and I had to contact them NUMEROUS times to have them send me the paper that I had to sign to get my check. They finally sent it - we signed it. That was beginning of August (a month after we finished the program - took that long to get them to fax/email it to me). We still have not received our check (roughtly about $450). I spoke with Jamie Lyons twice and each time she told me she would personally make sure it was in the mail. It never came. I've since tried contacting them (leaving voicemails and emails) roughly around 20 times. Jamie has never called me back. Someone else names Anissa will every once in a while respond via email and tell me she is "looking into it" - only to never call me or email me back.

In the end, you will NOT received your refund as it states in your contract. I am actually going to file a small claims court suit against them since I have a contract (and the paper I signed to get the release of my check).

A few people have mentioned they are interested in a lawsuit - please let me know because I would be willing to get all of my emails/paperwork/etc togetehr and assist in this. I have copies of credit card statements that show they were late.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I agree with everything I have read about UFS. I have been scramed by them in the amount of $2572.00. I have reported them to the Attorney General office in Florida and the BBB and the Dept. of Consumers services in Florida. I'm waiting for word from the Consumer Services now. I'm at my witts end trying to deal with this. I started with UFS over 2 years ago and everything was fine until last August (2010) when they took my money and stopped paying my creditors. Now I don't know what to do unless I get a lawyer and who can afford one?

United Financial Systems Unauthorized charges

This is an account of our experiences with United Financial Systems, a company that we turned to to help us manage our credit card debt. There are many companies out there today who offer this, and by their website, UFS looked like a good choice.

While using them we found out that: 1) they don't send you a statement showing how much they paid your creditors or when-- EVER-- unless you ask for it 2) they take your money out of your bank account every month on the same day, yet their payments to creditors vary widely, and sometimes take an ENTIRE MONTH-- which is ridiculous. 3) Because of this, we had late payments almost every month on most accounts, despite changing due dates and making extra payments on our own. 4) It's extremely difficult to contact anyone at the company, and they NEVER reach out to communicate with you--- their expertly trained credit counselors? forget it.

We're trying to cancel our agreement with them and find some other organization who will actually be helpful. I can only imagine what a hassle canceling them will be.

Based on this company's poor performance, I would never recommend them to anyone.

I was also a client of UFS and for the last year almost all of my payments were late and or not paid at all, they do not respond to emails or phone calls and all now only three of my creditors would accept the new program so now I am stuck paying all of these bills again myself plus all the late charges. If I get the chance I am going to stick this companies [censor] to the wall. File your complaints thur the BBB and FTC.gov

My experience with UFS mirrors all of yours:

This relationship has been a train wreck since day one. I monitor my accounts like a hawk and knew exactly when monies were being withdrawn and then sent to my creditors. My daily job has been to communicate with them to find out where my payments were/are. I have had to change the due date on my accounts 10 times! My history with them would fill up the entire page here.

Just wondering anyone with any luck out there? We actually finished the program in JULY but still had a few cards needing payments? Also, they still owe about 200$ for 2 of my cards and the initial deposit from when we started the program. We signed the vouchers in July and are still waiting...any luck? oh and we contacted Carolee today...hopefully we will get a response..Thanks for everyone putting up these posts..

I actually was considering suing UFS to get my awards money back. They tell me, it will be returned when I complete the program with Consumer Alliance. As far as I am concerned
1. UFS has been in breach of the contract almost since the beginning. They received my payments on time every month, however they did not disburse on time causing late fees and they still had the audacity to take their fees.

2. I am no longer a client of UFS so why should I let them hold onto my money and trust they will return it.

I've been busy but I plan to look into this further.

This all sounds so familiar. UFS went 4 months without paying my creditors (over 3000.00 total withdrawn from my account). Finally my bank told me the only way to stop them was to close that account and reopen another, what a pain. I also was passed on to Consumer Alliance. UFS apparently has lost their "accreditation" to do business in several states, I am in Va. I at least am getting some email replies from them. I am being told I will get a refund back for lost payments. I am not holding my breath. FL BBB is no help, UFS keeps ignoring them. I will get in touch with Fl AG and see what happens. Does anyone think its worth actually suing them?

My payments that UFS debited have been paid to my creditors. My accounts are current and are now being handled by the new company Consumers Alliance. They are in the process of negotiating with the creditors to get me back on the program. Creditors kicked me off because of the late & missed payments by UFS. My only connection now with UFS is they still have my cash back award money. They claim they will return it when I complete the program with Consumers Alliance. I do not believe or trust them. I am going to file a complaint with the Attorney General & file case against them with small claims court. They do not have the right to hold that money.

To ANYONE USING UFS-STOP THE DEBITS FROM YOUR ACCOUNTS NOW AND HAVE YOUR BANK REFUND ANY UNAUTHORIZED DEBITS FROM THE LAST 60 days-the banks can do this. I also think we should all continue to inundate Chris, the owner of UFS with emails and file complaints to the AG's office even tho they are being lazy [censor] about this. FIGHT BACK!
