United Benefits Of America misrepresentation

I spoke to a sweet talking woman named amy tucker who misrepresented to me that I was going to get health insurance through united states fire insurance company and that my doctor was in the network and would take this plan, today the doctor tells me they do not accept this insurance, this woman asked for my bank account info and was going to draft the sum of 463.00+ from my bank account today, and after many calls to this company I spoke to someone who said that this draft would not be taken from my account today... It appears that this company is a fraud such as madoff, I can not understand why they get away with these things and ripping people off as they do. I wish they would contact me over this complaint or their attorney because maybe we the consumer need to take them into court to have them pay back all the fraudulent wealth they accumulated. Do not purchase anything from these people, as a up and up health insurance provider would send the info first. I will also be filing a complaint with the state insurance division here in virginia.. Now I wait to see if they take any monies from my bank account...

i have this plan and it worked fine for me. there are steps u need to take if you are going to go to an out of network doctor if u do not take them the doc wont except it. so i took them and i had no problem. this plan does take some work on the owners part but most of the complaints i se are from people who did not follow what it says to do in the packet. thousands of people get this plan and there are few complaints for that many people. the truth is u can look up any company blue cross, united health care ect... and you will find people complaining about all of them. so u cant please all the people all the time no matter what u do! hopefully this will help any one reads this comments to know the truth

My husband and I lost our jobs so we started looking for ins. we also were misreprentated and no one will call me back. I am now on the look out again for health insurance. I have called, left message on all the options i can and no one has called back. WE don't have the money to do this all over again. I medicine is the worst.

I GOT UNITED BENEFITS OF AMERICA INSURANCE.THEY SAID IT WAS HEALTH INSURANCE.THEY LIED TO ME.IT WAS THREE, IAB, BENEFITS USA, AND UNITED BENEFITS OF AMERICA.I TAKE CARE OF ACABIN AND ONLY MAKE 300.OO AMOUTH.I NEED HEALTH INSURANCE.WE NEED HELP TO GET THIS COMPANY OUT OF BUSINESS.IT IS A SCAM.DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE.THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY.I NEED HELP TO GET MONEY BACK.SO I CAN GET BLUE CROSS INSURANCE.

United Benefits Of America Unauthorized billing

United Benefits will cheat you so beware. I recently signed up for coverage with Health Benefits of America and received a confirmation letter with total up front costs charged way above original agreements made over the phone.

None of the charged amounts even came close to what was agreed upon originally and there were new 'initial payment' costs added in to the health plan paperwork that were never agreed upon but were charged to my bank account that were in the hundreds of dollars.

The next discrepancy that was noted is one of actual coverage available to the insured, which does not live up to the original plan that was discussed over the phone. In fact, they will lead you to believe that you are receiving health insurance benefits when in reality what you are receiving is a discount program which has little to no benefit for those that are currently living with pre-existing illness.

Beware of the coverage for pharmaceuticals as well, because you will be steered wrong. As in my case, the prescriptions that I take I was told would be covered under the health plan that I signed up for, but was later informed that they would not. Here is the kicker...I was then informed of a separate pharmaceutical plan of coverage that would cover my medications, for a separate fee of course, that was also accompanied by a start up fee of a $150 dollars plus a monthly fee of $50.

I later found out through my doctor that I could receive these meds directly through the manufacturer for nearly no cost to me with just a little paperwork. They informed me that they see this quite often and that these companies pray upon the uninsured by miss-leading them through fancy adds and quick talking sales people.

Once I confronted the provider about the issues at hand, they informed me that the start up fees were a one time cost and were non refundable even if I canceled the coverage before it took effect. 'There was nothing I could do about the start up fee's', so they tell me.

I have since filed a dispute through my financial institution and are searching for other options that would assist me in my dispute. At this point all I can say is beware of these health coverage predators.

[protected] ext 204 or 205 they are both ready to help anyone. guys they are a new company they mean well, they will assist you in your quest some people fall through the cracks, as one posted something bad on here it has since snowballed. but type in any company here or rip off and read about them.

I've been with them for two years with no problem. The prescription plan you spoke of has a $100. enrollment & is $49.95 a month. Don't know what drugs you're taking but all my prescriptions were covered just as it nwas nexplained. Guess you can't please everyone.

I think we just got scammed too! I made the firwst inquiry about a quote and got a call back within 5min. And when my husband talked to" Matt Jackson" he asked for our bank numbers and ss#. I had thought about it for a couple of days and it just didnt feel right. Now after reading all this stuff I really dont feel right. My husband is on the phone as I am typing this to stop everything.

United Benefits Of America bank accoune number

I spoke with a very sweet girl who called me promptly after filling out a form on line in reference to seeking health insurance. She told me about a plan that is HALF the price of what I'm paying now, with ALL my current benefits, and they accept my preexisting condition to boot. However, they wanted me to pay a fee up front that switched from $319.00 to $369.00 (and everywhere in between). It seemed like they were coming up with the numbers as we spoke! The plan sounds too good to be true! They offered me a 30-day trial period to "get prescriptions and have my teeth cleaned" and if I didn't like it, I could contact the
Better Buisness Bureau and request my money back. Does that mean they keep all the money from those who reject their insurance plan, and someone else refunds their money? What kind of scam is this? The "manager" told me they have millions of customers with a 95% retaining rate, but all I've read about them online has been horrible! Please tell me what these people are tuly all about! In my experience, if something's too good to be true, it probably is!

I keep on getting automated message on my voice mail. The [protected] number they ask you to call back goes straight to voice mail without even saying who you are calling. I finally called back the number that had appeared on my phone and yelled at the lady to take me off their list. Time for health care reform in America. This is the wild west!

I have been trying to get my money back since 05/29/09 and still nothing. The person who originally took my phone call has vanished with no trace. There is a very nice lady attempting to help me, but they keep telling me that they are working on it and nothing. I have called and all extensions lead to the same place where no one picks up the phone. Looks like a scam to me! This people took advantage of a cancer patient to charge us over a thousand dollars JUST TO START and nothing, I mean NOTHING was covered. PLEASE DO NOT USE this people for insurance. Save yourselves while you can!

THE COMPANY IS A NEW COMPANY THEY ARE TRYING TO HELP US. I'M FROM BOWLINGREEN KY. MY WIFE AND I COULDN'T GET INSURANCE DUE TO OUR PRE-EXISTING CONDITIONS. I SPOKE WITH A YOUNG LADY NAMED ALLISON. YOU COULD TELL SHE WAS TRYING TO HELP US, BUT SHE DID HAVE A JOB TO DO. I THINK THAT SHE WAS FAIRLY NEW, SHE WORKED OFF AND ON FOR WEEKS WITH MY HUSBAND AND I, WHEN I HAD NO FURTHER OPTIONS AND WE WAS DROPPED FROM COBRA AND ACCEPTED NO WHERE ELSE, SHE CALLED. WE HAD FURTHER QUESTIONS SHE COULDNT ANSWER, THEN WE SPOKE IS HERE MANAGER JOHN. HE WAS VERY STERN, BUT YOU COULD TELL HE WASN'T PULLING ANY PUNCHES. HE LAID IT OUT THERE FOR US AND HE WALKED US THROUGH THE HCBOA WEBSITE. NOW THE ENROLLMENT WAS HIGH, AND ACTUALLY IT WAS HIGHER THEN WHAT THEY INITIALLY TOLD US, BUT WHEN WE CALLED BACK WE REALIZED IT WAS A BETTER PLAN SO WE WAS FINE. MY HUSBAND SENT THEM A THANK YOU LETTER. OVER ALL I GIVE THEM AT LEAST ONE THUMB UP. HONEST CRITICISM

I USED TO WORK AT UBA . I DIDNT STAY THERE LONG . I WAS TOLD I WAS TO NICE, I SHOULDNT CARE ABOUT THE CLIENTS...BUT HOW CAN YOU NOT WHEN PEOPLE ARE WITHOUT HEALTH INSURANCE AND THAT COMPANY IS RIPPING THE PEOPLE OFF! PLEASE SOMEONE NEEDS TO INVESTIGATE UBA. THE COMPANY IS MISLEADING THE EMPLOYERS AND TARGETING THE THE PRE-EXISTING PEOPLE BECAUSE UBA KNOWS THEY R IN NEED.
