I live in Thames, New Zealand got a letter saying that I have won a share of $21 million. All I have to do to claim my winnings is send them $10... Yeah, right! Obviously a scam. I won't say anything about the kind of people who fall for this type of thing, but remember if it sounds too good to be true it's probably not. There's so many types of scams out...

Hi, just received a letter stating that I won in the Australian lottery a share of $ 20 000 000, tried contacting them but no number ever existed, surprising that the Australian police and Internet security services are not doing anything about these scammers, I have been receiving these letters for the past 8 years now. People should be made aware of this sicko's scam artists that thrive of the hard working people out there. Tried tracing the post box address on the reply monitored address envelope but was not granted any information by the Post shop...stated that they would be breaching the Privacy Act, what a load of [censored], so these scammers can and will continue bleeding hard working people from their monies. We cannot report it to the Police, they say we must try and sort it out ourselves.

I have also had a letter from United Benefits to my address in New Plymouth asking for $10 for this lottery, so i could have a share of $29 Million dollars. Wish that they would get screwed over themselves.

Just got the invite today. How do they get my info from Canada. Had a few in the past and never took advantage as I did my "homework" by searching the web... Nice looking document that could sway less inquisitive persons to respond. Is there such at thing as "Mail Fraud" in Australia?

I’m in Canada and just received the Scam letter about United Benefits 21$ million prize.
Figured it’s a scam. Thanks for confirming.
So i wrote on the Form to take the $10 from my winnings and also an extra $20 for theIr trouble.
Since it is a prepaid reply envelope, they will have to pay to get it back. Everyone should do this, even if you just put a plain blank piece of paper in it. If enough of these returned the scammers will have a hefty bill, lol. !

I have received letters by the galore to enter in so many draws. The more you enter the more you pay. It starts with a registration fee with free numbers, the problem is I have never known my numbers. Then they keep sending more letters to keep buying in to the lottery draws. As the draw nears, they ask for a registration fee to be part of the distribution of the large lottery win AUS 21, 000, 000.00. The closer the draw is, the more the registration fee. The last letter was for $150.00 AUS. You can ring, fax or send cash or ring a number. There is no website to access nor are you able to use email. Cunning as these cannot be tracked. In the last mail asking for the $150 registration to have a share of the winnings that are to be distributed they put that payment must be made in 72 hours. This makes you think oh, I must do it or i'll miss out. I just threw it in the rubbish. When they ring to ask if you would like to go in the lotto draw drawn either on that day or the weekend they are to send your numbers by email. I did it once for $24.95 and waited for my email it never came. When they rang again, I told them I did not receive my numbers in email and I will not be buying any more. The person quickly hung up.
