United Auto Credit Dearborn is the worst auto financier that I have ever had the displeasure in dealing with.

The tactics used by this company are beyond unreasonable... be it with the constant phone calls for collection, even after payment has been made mind you... to their appearing at the residence without authorization from the person paying the debt for the vehicle.

My story is not all that different from other posters here, but being in Michigan (A state that leads the country in unemployment as of this writing) UACC has gone so far as to skirting the law with their practices.

It has been my understanding that if a payment is late, UACC will call and demand payment... and for the most part that is true, however... the not only call you, they will call others and state that they want you to contact them... but what happens when the person that they are trying to contact does not have a phone?

Well they will call the deactivated number, ignore the alternate number that was given by the holder... and send no notice that the vehicle is in any jeopardy of being repossessed.

Then, they will have the car repossessed on a Sunday, when there isn't anyone in their offices so that a protest can be called in... or if there is a misunderstanding or lag between a payment that had been sent already can be noted and the repo be called off.

This company practices in trespassing, and possible illegal repossession tactics.

Do NOT deal with any auto dealer that will knowingly deal with this company.

tHIS WOULD MAKE THE 2ND CAR THAT UACC HAS FINANCED FOR ME. THE PREVIOUS ONE WAS INVOLVED IN AN AUTOMOBILE ACCIDENT AND PAID OFF ABOUT 2YRS EARLIER THAN SCHEDULED AND I REFINANCE ANOTHER CAR AND YES I PAY MY LOAN LATE MANY TIMES DURING THE YEAR BUT UNFORTUNATELY I CANT MAKE MY PAYDAY FALL ON THE SAME DAY AS MY LOAN DUE DATE THAT JUST REALITY ! I HAVE ENCOUNTERED RUDE AND SARCASTIC PEOPLE. WHEN I WAS CALLED ABOUT LATE PAYMENT I STATED THAT I WAS INTERESTED IN PAYING THE CAR OFF EARLY AND WHAT WOULD BE MY PAYOFF HE NEVER ATTEMKPTED TO LOOK UP ANY INFO HE JUST TOLD ME IT WOULD BE THE SAME I OWE AND I ASK WHAT ABOUT THAT HIGH FINANCE CHARGE THAT I WOULD BE TRYING TO AVOID AND HE STAY WITH THE SAME FIGURES I NO( UACC EMPLOYEE L0L) BUT I AM SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT YOU AVOID SOME FINANCE CHARGE WHEN PAYING DEBTS OFF EARLY. WELL I CALL TODAY AND WAS GIVEN A TOTALLLY DIFFERENT1888 SOMETHING SOMETHING, WELL NOW I SEND MONEY GRAMS TO PENSACOLA, FL, GET CALLS FROM BIRMINGHAM AL( 205) AREA CODE AND HAVE TO CALL 1888 TO DISCUSS MY PAYOFF WHEN SOME IDIOT JUST TOLD ME OFF THE TOP OF HIS HEAD WHAT I OWE I LEFT MY ACCOUNT NO. PHONE NO. AND NAME SO THEY WOULD NOT HAVE TO PUT ME ON HOLD TO FIND OUT WHAT MY PAYOFF WOULD BE. AND I NEVER RECIEVED A MONTHLY NOTICE UNTIL THE 205 AREA CODE START TO CALL MY PERSONAL PHONE WHICH I DONT MIND WHEN I AM LATE BUT WHEN I TELL YOU ON TUESDAY THAT MY PAYDAY IS THE SAME FRI AND I AM GOING TO PAY IT THEN AND YOU TELL ME TO CALL YOU BACK TOMMORROW TO CONFIRM . AND THEY NOT ONLY CALL THE NEXT DAY ALL DAY ON MY JOB AS IF NO ONE JOB IS IMPORTANT BUT THIERS ! BUT THEY CALL MY MOM 7:00 AM

I have tried to find this companies contact information and have only found that all (6) phone numbers I have tried are disconnected. I have a payment due and was trying to contact them to make that payment by phone and cannot find any company number that works. I am not going to make a payment to a company that no longer exists. I have no idea where my payments are going seeing as how there seems to be no buisness anymore. I, too, have been dealt with quite rudely and totally unprofessionally and now can't make any contact with the company. Does anyone know how to get ahold of them? This seems awfully fishy to me!

You are obviously an employee of this UAC, because no one would defend the illegal practices describe by all on this web site. You debt collectors seem to have no real power in your regular life so you come to work and pretend to be these high and mighty, all powerfull phone operaters! lol! What a joke! Do you even have a high school diploma?

You sub par fiance companies pray on the down trodden, disafrachised part of society who need help! You kill them with your high interest rates and unprofessional abusive attitudes!

Who made you idiots societies moral compass?

First of all, let me start off by saying that not only do I work for a dealer who uses United Auto Credit, but I also personally have my vehicle financed with them. While I do not always agree with the way they deal with their customers, I do need to make one point very clear. All of you that are complaining about how this company goes about collecting their payments need to realize that they are a "Second Chance" finance company. You dealt with them because for one reason or another, you could not get traditional financing to purchase your vehicle...if you could have, you would have done so ! As for them notifying you that your vehicle is at risk for being repo'd...WAKE UP ! They do not have to hold your hand when it comes to paying your bills. You KNOW the payment is late...therefore...you KNOW that it is at risk to be repo'd ! You may think that this sounds harsh, but I am only speaking the truth.
