Beware of this company - UNIFIED SERVICES! These people call my house every other day this past week wanting me to accept their $1000 on-line free coupons with 3 days to a trip to hell.
I told each rep that called me that I was not interested, and to take me off their phone list, and that I am on a Do Not Call list.
Well this morning was the last straw. I had "Jim" from UNIFIED SERVICES calling me from somewhere in Nevada with a number of 775.678.5678 (which by the way if you call that number it's a dummy number - I talked to an Verizon Operator about this and she told me that it's telemarketing's way of getting around the caller id's and the Do Not Call list) - any - so "Jim" was making his little scam speech deal to me over the phone with his Indian accent (I take it this place is actually in India not Nevada), and I told "Jim" that I wanted to speak to his Supervisor. I was very polite and friendly with Jim, and Jim was puzzled and asked why? I said (lying to a scammer) that I wanted to let his Supervisor know that he was very polite and nice and doing an excellent job. So Jim took the bait, and got Jean Seaford (another Indian accent) his Supervisor on the phone. The tone in my voice was not nice. I explained to Jean (if that's her real name) that I did not appreciate the fact that I had 3 prior calls from UNIFIED SERVICES, and told each one not to call me and take me off the phone list. Then I continued to tell Ms. Seaford that I had her name, the company's name, Jim's name, the other Rep's name - the reason for the call and was going to report them to the FCC about this scam.
All Ms Seaford could do was apologize to me and "God Blessing Me" and told me that they would not call me again. Well, we'll see on Monday or Tuesday -
Please people don't give out your account numbers over the phone, there are SCAMMERS from the scam of the Earth wanting' your money! Be careful!

they are giving out our info too! a company called platinum services took money from my acct. & i looked it up & this rip off came up on my screen. union workers credit services also offered me a credit line of 10,000. i did not give any info but they took money anyway.
###! these people called me and i was like ok sounds kewl, well neway after they were so insistant on getting my banking information that i knew somthing was wrong. well i have a problem saying No to anyone who is nice so i gave it to them, well a little later i was able to finially say no after i was sure it was a scam and then when i asked them to please delete any and all information that they had on me the person was very rude and kept saying " if we were a scam we could just clean you out in 2 mins" and "your not afraid about your banking information?" and talking about "so the information is correct?" and "hard earned money" well so neway I called my bank and now i need to close my old banking account and open a new one because they also have gotten complaints and told me that they can sell my banking information and since they have all my banking information then all of the transactions would go through. Luckily i have no money in there at the moment. Wish i googled them first.

They'd somehow found out my last name and were claiming to be a relative in another country. They said I was due a lot of money from this "wrongly exiled" relative. It was weird. I got the message on Yahoo. I wish I'd had my PPL membership then, I would've had them "squashed" immediately.

I just experienced this same situation. I told the guy I didn't even write down his name, that I wasn't interested in receiving a shopping spree of $1000 and a vacation. They had my name, address, phone number. This is really scary. Since I wouldn't release any of my information I hung up on them. With in 10 seconds I received a call right back and was transfered to the manager. I told them to remove my name and not to contact me again regarding this issue. I hope it works. NEVER, NEVER, EVER give out your personal banking information. I work for a bank. Too much FRAUD out there to think this could be too good to be true it is. There is always a HUGE catch at the end of the tunnel.

I have just received the same type of calls from Unified Services, also. My daughter and I have both talked to them. However, we both felt that if it seemed to be too good to be true, it probably wasn't. I've learned the hard way not to argue with these people. I very nicely said that I wasn't interested, have a nice day and hung up. Unfortunately I'm one of those people who you could sell the Brooklyn bridge too, so I've learned the hard way not to let them keep talking. I was very glad to find this site, though. At least I know for sure that I did the right thing. I am going to contact my local isp and radio station to see if I can prevent this from spreading in my area.
I got the call from this company. The deal was gift voucher of 1000$ and 3 day 2 night vacation from the destination provided and in return they would take 1.95 from my account. The details of the agent are:

He asked for my bank name and bank account number. And when I refused to give my account number, he kept on insisting. And after a while when he lost his cool, he said "Whats your problem?" All I said was, "I am not comfortable giving these details. If you want to give me any deal fine else have a good day".
Later, he calls again and gives me a number "[protected]" and said when verification dept calls you for account number, give this number "452170". I was surprised. They are so insistent in getting my approval.
I am glad I read these complains and will not entertain them further.
I am giving all the details I know of them to make sure everyone is aware of them.
A friend of mine called me and said that a company called her saying that we won a trip and a $1000.00 online shopping spree and that they needed her bank account #, which she did not have. They told her she can use my account. They gave her a bunch of numbers to write down which she did. Later she called me and told me everything they told her and she read me the numbers out loud and not knowing what the numbers were, I realized that they were my bank account and routing numbers! They told her to use my account number without my permission! They also tried to tell another friend of mine to use my account number and they also wanted to get her account number! Thank God she did not give them her information! They took $149.80 from my checking account. I called the bank and ask where the check was written, the rep told me Unified Services. They were only supposed to take $1.95 for the shipping and handling charges. Or so they said.
Same thing has been happening to us. My wife receives unwanted late night calls every day. Where do these people come from and how do we stop them?

I got a call from unified services a week back. It was a lady with Indian accent and she was saying all the stuff as mentioned above like a 1000 dollars gift and 2/3 days stay and all i have to do is pay 1.95 for shipping and handling charges. I dint believe them and kept asking how can someone give 1000+ dollars worth stuff for just 2 bucks. They tried to explain but i did not listen and they hung up the phone.
Later today morning, i got call from them again saying the same things over and over again. In the beginning i was adamant but somehow i got convinced thinking it was just 2 bucks. So i gave them my details (never do that). Well one more victim added to their list.
I was checking online about the unified services scam and was dumb founded by their smartness or my foolishness. I guess i will go to the bank and request them to stop any transactions from my account on the name of unified services.
If there is any other name they are using to withdraw the money, please let me know, so that i can block that one too.

To stop them from calling you let them tell there spiel, give them all false information even your name then be rude for 5 minutes and have fun then hang up, they will call you back 3 times or so then the calls will stop.

I was blind enough to believe these people, and i had given this person my personal information. i looked up this agency online and had nothing but your blog. I know what you are talking about. They called me, and told me about the getaway. I was cool with it until they asked for my bank account number just simply hung up. They've called back numerous times, and even woke me up this morning. I was sooo mad that I was woke up, and that they called back again.
I told them they were scam artists, and I was going to the police. They hung up right after. I just called the customer service hotline, and got the location of them. Las vegas nevada I need to get the rest of it and I will post it on here.
This is not right to do to people. IF ANYONE asks for your bank number - DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM! Its a fraud. If you never entered in anything, or know nothing about any kind of offer, just hang up the phone.

A representative with a very strong Indian accent contacted me with knowledge that I had been interested in a loan. He said several times, not to worry, no additional funds, just a small $1.95 would be drafted from my account for shipping and handling of this product. I could cancel after receiving the product at no additional charge. The numbers that the rep gave me to cancel this "trial offer" were only recordings, and I was unable to talk to an actual person so that I could stop the entire transaction. I never even received the package that they said they would send out, not that I wanted it. A month later, yesterday, my account was drafted $149.80, without my permission. The memo on the electronically printed check (that I did not sign) stated the company's name, Unified Services, and a toll free number [protected]). I called the number and got only a pre-recorded message linking me to info on each product that I "bought." These charges were not authorized, only $1.95 was to be drafted. We are newlyweds who are just starting out. Losing $150 is huge for us right now.
The person mentioned only $1.95 and now there was an amount of $149.80 drafted from my account without my authorization. This kind of practice is not good.
I also received a call from these people and decided to try it , thinking that all I had to lose was $1.95 for shipping. Was a little nervous about giving out banking account number , but they did everything they said they would do . In just a few days I received everything as promised and only the $ 1.95 was charged to my account. I just simply canceled all offers as soon as I received everything. There was no catch and I received great gifts as promised. I'm not saying that all of telemarketers are as honest, but this one you are talking about did everything they promised...
