This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

Approximately 2 weeks ago I had been contacted by a young man named "Max Johnson" for Unified Services informing me that I had won a $1000 internet Shopping Spree and a vacation. I was hassled for some time about me giving them my check account number and that they could NOT go over the amount of $1.95 for shipping and Handling of the packet explaining my benefits and a CD for a trial if Internet and some fat burning pills. I told them I DID NOT want them but they insisted saying it was only a trial and I WAS NOT OBLIGATED to purchase. I kept insisting I would send a money order but "Max" promised me "We cannot make the check out for ANYMORE than $1.95, not a PENNY more". LIE!

Now, last Thursday, I find a check had come thru for $149.80 made out to "Unified Services". I immediately CANCELED my account (I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SINCE THERE IS NO STOPPING THEM FROM DOING THIS AGAIN IN THE FUTURE, REMEMBER, THEY HAVE YOUR ACCOUNT NUMBER!).

Then, I was able to find another customer service number [protected]) and asked to speak to the manager. This guy named Derek ID#60 (he would not give his last name) and proceeded to rim him good for this Thievery! He said I had to fax a letter to the Refund Dept. I said "The REFUND DEPT. I did NOT BUY ANYTHING! I demanded they return my money! I am still waiting to hear from them, and I WILL NOT LET THIS GO! I refuse to be robbed by these thieves and we all must band together against them! My next step is the BBB and the News stations in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. They have messed with the wrong guy!

I was so shock when i saw a deduction of $149.80 from my checking account couple days ago. I tried to contact their agents, but no one was on the phone to assist me, all there was is a automatic answering machine talking. I did not authorize them to deduct money from my account, this company is a SCAM,an SCAM, SCAM, I wasn't aware of their action and i became a victim. Their agents are all Indians who speaking English, they try to rip off people money. Try not to let them get a whole of you everyone. Be aware of their offers, and if you have caller-ID their number will appear with only" [protected]". Does anyone have better way to get a whole of them? I'm worried that they will take more money out of my account.

Last night 9/26/07 i got a phone call, the man said i had won a $1000 dollar spree and a trip vacation. I even questioned him about smas and he said no that they were not. So i ask him if he was sure, he simply just says of course sr. I give him the info he needed almost knowing it was a scam. I look it up this morning and find out it really was. Im lucky enough that i found out asap so they weren't able to get any money. They got me though make sure they dont get you.

I was called from my bank and told had a transfer of funds to unified services in the amount of 149.00. I stopped transfer immediately, they were never authorized or spoken to by me. They tried to rip me off, lucky my bank caught it and refused the transfer. These people are fraud and try to steal your money!

Beware!

They were supposed to charge only $1.95 for S&H for a sample product called Ultra Thermo Boost 2000 which is garbage anyway--no active ingredients--just fillers, and they auto withdrew the 149.80 using some bogus check number! BEWARE PEOPLE! I think we should ban together and hunt em down like dogs & #$@^^&*$& their thieving hands off!

Basically, they called demanding my checking account # and tried to tell me that it was for a 1000 shopping spree. I refused and the individual on the phone became agitated so i told him that i wanted his bbb verification. He then said thank you, have a good day and hung the phone up.

Unified Services calls my home every day and will not stop after daily requests to remove me from their call list. They say they are not selling anything, but they proceed to offer a "prize" (obviously a scam).

I am a verizon wireless customer and they called me on my cell phone. I was very angry, and he tried to make me feel guilty, saying that he is a person too. Then I insisted he tell me what company he was from and how he had gotten my number. If this is Verizon which is selling them this information, I am going to definitely raise a stink about it.

I receive a call from this company and I wasn't sure about it and I keep telling them No but they told me that I could call my banker and tell him that I gave my checking account number and a check for only 1.95, I gave them my information. I came and check in internet about this company and I found this site and we can stop them, I call my bank immediately and I cancel my account.

Thank you!

These jokers have called me several days in a row and I have politely asked them not to call. they again called me tonight and I said no thank you and please take me off their call list. this statement caused the cold caller to spew a string of obscenities at me.

These people must be shut down, they are violating the "No Call" rule.

I am not aware of this company. They took 149.80 through electronic transfer from my bank account. Village Bank was stamped on the bank without a phone number. I did not authorize this transfer. I want information on this company to register a dispute. Help someone!

Hello i am here to let you know that UNIFIED SERVICES is a SCAM. I believe that they got my sprint cell phone # From Sprint and they also had my address which sprint has as well but thats besides the point. They sent me a package containing weight loss diet pills and an online shopping spree of a thousand dollars. This sounded great. I did not have access to a comp so i went about my day. Then the same day i received a call from unified services. The indian man was acting so trustworthy telling me the company has been around for more than 50 yrs and that only $1.95 would be took out of my checking account so i gave him the info like a dumb ###. About 10 min after the call it dawned on me that they could drain my account of every penny i had. So i went to the library to see if they were legit and i saw so many testimonies of ppl being scammed. So i called them back and we had a heated argument i told him what he was doing was wrong and deceiving and that they were taking unauthorized money from ppl. He said i can go ### myself then he said i will drain yours to then he yelled my account # then i flipped out on his ###. Then I went tot the bank and had that account closed and opened a new one b4 they could drain it. Well then during the first conversation i referred my moms num to them and they called her I picked up and said this is the police and asked if this was unified services and they said no its sue's friend Jon then he recognized my vocice. Then i told him that i changed my account and that they could get nothing and they went going to receive any info on my mother. They said that they would like to talk to her still and Fu*k her as well this guy had some nerve i told him to go stick his little guy in his ### and said never call here again. Sorry 4 this lengthy paragraph but i was so heated up from that idiot i couldn't stop typing.

UNIFIED SERVICES IS A FRAUD!

UNIFIED SERVICES has tried twice to withdrawal money from my account and luckily I have caught this and stopped this withdrawal of $149.80. Beware of these people they are scammers and try to take advantage of people and there money. Called the first time said they canceled it well it is one month later and have called with the second time trying to withdrawal have threatened them with lawsuit. Anybody up for a lawsuit against this company I know there are several people whose lives they have made miserable and they think they can continue to get away with this

I work 3rd shift, so when this company began calling about two weeks ago, I could never wake up in time to answer the CELLPHONE. They would call mostly between 10-12 (noonish). Finally I get a call from some Indian guy around 3:00.pm. Answer the phone and its the usual sales pitch about some crazy ol'vacation and $1000 shopping spree. Either way, I wasn't interested from the get go. I am a college kid and haven't got time or the cash loss (absent from work) to screw around on something thats probably got a ton of strings attached.

Ol' boy started saying how he got my number from a business that I use to deal with (like a credit card company sold them my stuff or something) I asked who it was that gave it to him but he "dropped the phone" and apologized and changed the topic of my question immideatly. Well eventually he gets to saying that I have to pay some $1.95 for shipping and handling on a info packet to mail me. Well I told him that was to expensive, I couldn't afford it. He asked "What? Are you a begger? $1.95 is to much for you?" Persisting that it was, I held strong on my ### excuse. When he seen I was set in my ways he told me " Then hang up the phone you bagger!" And then HE hung the phone up on ME.

I am reporting Unified Services to the FCC, FTC, & FBI among others.

I got a call from a rep who said that he needed my account info for verification reasons... I am so glad I found this website because now I can go close my acct and open a new one... And verizon is not the only phone company giving numbers to this bunk company... I am a unicel customer... when i asked the guy which company gave him my number as it was selected at random and got entered from a company i shopped with he was not able to give me that information... can anything be done about this scam? I am going to the fbi where they can investigate this...

They called me and the first thing i noticed was that the person had a spanish name. Cheryl Rodriguez. So i wanted to see where this was going. As she was talking i was googling the company name and then found this site. I then asked her where they were located. She told me, "Las Vegas." Of course i didn't believe her. I know what an Indian accent sounds like and i also know that the spanish did not have a very long conquest in India. If she had a Portuguese name i would understand. Than i started asking her about the company and what they did. She said the were an up and coming travel agency and they were trying to get feedback. Now i had read at least two of these. I asked her how much of my info they had. They had way too much. I then asked her where she got the info and she was unable to explain. Now i was beginning to get angry because i know when someone is trying to steal from me and that makes me very angry. Even if they were only going to steal 200 dollars from my account, i would gladly spend 5000 dollars to fly to India and burn that place to the ground. After telling her this she wasn't really keen on talking anymore and was still trying to convince me that they weren't a scam. I started to confront her on why she lied about the location in which her business was located and she said people didn't like to hear when jobs were outsourced. I told her to loose all info she had on me and never to call this number again. Just to be safe i changed my checking account number. I recommend that you do the same even if you didn't give it to them. You never know what they already have. Beware.

P.S. they really don't like to be threatened so if you want to let out some anger you can. Bad day at work or whatever. There really isn't much you can do to stop them, the police cant do anything because they are in Asia and if you can get Interpol to listen to an American, more props to you. Goodluck, and if a lot more people get scammed maybe we can hold a field trip to India and get our stuff back. Maybe, light something on fire while were there. GOOD LUCK!

25 Sept, 2007 Just rec'd long, insistent phone call. "I'd been randomly selected to receive $1,000., 3 day vacation, etc. just give $1.99 (no cashier check, debit card, credit card accepted, because you can get scammed by people doing this.) Just look on my checkbook and give them the number at the bottom". When I told the "India sounding voice" I give no such info on the phone-suddenly a male came onto the phone speaking a mile-a-minute. Loud & angry, more insistent I give hime the info he needed. They are a very good company. Asked if I'd ever been scammed? To which I informed him I was not & will Not be the idiot he hoped I would be & informed him this conversation was over...

From past few days these guys are bothering me allot, I am new to US i believed that this how it works here. When i looked up lot of complaints i was surprised... so many complaints. I really feel sorry and apologize on behalf of my Country INDIA, this probably gives a very bad picture about Indians.

These people somewhere sitting in the corner of our country and trying to rob someone’s hard-earned money. I am from bangalore where most of the Call center and BPO exist who are genuine. I am planning to report this to our local City police.

Anyway i am having an appointment with Unified Services guy today around 9.30 pm let see what's the out come.

I will update!

Hi Everyone..Unified Services (fake name) is a US based company and they have outsourced their telemarketing part in India.
$1000 shopping and vacation for $1.95 is too good to believe, right /? yeah, its a scam..and the worst part is, i was a part of that..i was an mere employee there, who cheated ppl for his bread and butter..i m sorry, pal..i mean it. :(
I want to share a few things about your banking information :
1) Anybody can know your routing number because routing number is not given for your identification but for your bank's identification. So, the routing number of all the a/c holder of a same branch (same bank) are identical. So nobody can take your money by just knowing your routing number.

2)Whenever you sign a cheque you give away your a/c number because your bank a/c number is printed on your cheque page. So, if your neighbor knows your bank a/c number you can still have a peaceful sleep.

3) The one and only thing they need to mess with your money is your authorization. Authorization can be written (Cheque) it can be verbal (like in the case of unified service).

Unified services took your authorization for $148 while they offered u the free trail services (remember ?).

All i need to say is, think zillion times before giving any authorization over the phone.

Thank you and Sorry.

My, My, My! This is such a shame. They have called me nonstop, literally nonstop. They speak the same old garbage about winning this shopping spree, which of course does not exist. He asks for my checking information, luckily for me, I don't bank with anyone, because I don't trust banks either. He calls out my address, yes its correct, yet not concerned, don't think anyone is that bold to show up on my doorstep, besides these people are cowards. So as they continuously call and call and call, I decided to block their number from my cell, YAY! Well how smart are these people, they now send me text messages with links in them, I choose not to open them; However on wednesday I will meet with an attorney who seems quite interested in this case and I told him about this site. He said we would also put a call in to the state attorney general and pursue this. I must say these people should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for the falsehoods that they perpetuate. If these people have access to others private confidential information such as bank accounts, despite how they obtained it, it seems to be gathered in a criminal manner, especially if you did not release it to them. I saw someone say here that some companies sell your information to telemarketers, but no one has the right to sell your bank information. ITS A CRIME!

My phone service is through US Cellular and I bank through Chase, so I really don't think that phone carriers and banks have anything to do with this. I believe they are getting their information from an internet site that maybe we have entered our information. So far I have received 2 calls this morning from [protected]. Normally I don't answer the phone for numbers I don't know especially from 900 numbers. As I recall they are the numbers that come from sex lines and fortune teller lines. Well, I decided to look up this number on the net to see if I could find out where it is coming from and that is when I found all these comments from many people who are getting the same calls. I am glad I did this so next time they call, I will answer and let them know that I have to low down on them and they need to stop calling.

They did the same thing to me I guess they famous now they got their promotion alright. I remember talking to this man his English was broking I told him the only thing I want is the gift certificate for a 1000 they did the same thing overt me 3 special bull crap, spill to loose weight which I don't need I need to gain weight not loose weight, second one internet high speed dial up which i don't need "lan is better "I already have internet and a cell phone, third vacation voucher jajaja Im working busy trying to make a living I need a vacation. When they first call me I don't know how they got my information but they did call me this and that I told them I didn't want anything else but the gift certificate and I spoke with 2 person second person was a lady I told her the same cancel everything in 10 days and she say ok. But no they still went against my word and charge me the $99.88 without my permission. The say that I only cancel one thing yeah right so I request a refund to get my money back, I talk with everybody my bank the police almost the fbi and Im still searching I also requested the voice recorded conversation for the first call they gave me and the second one and the third but they came up with this lame excuse that they can't send it to individuals but only to the bank or to a lawyer, they know better. This is a ghetto company trying to be slick using the gift certificate which that's another company for their ridiculous, stupid promotion offers. I guess I was their next victim im in NY so it was easy to get me, but this not over yet I will write back when I get my money back. My Mom was right the lesson is do not (WARNING) give your information especially your bank info to anyone especially to a ghetto company offering you things that you don't need. Its funny when you call the unified services and they pretend like they don't know nothing and reacts like you're accusing them for something, that's why they send somebody with a broking English to call you the first time so you don't get all the details or understand, so they make seen like that person with the broking English didn't really understand you or make a mistake because of his English, giving us the doubt like maybe he doesn't understand basically taking no for answer, so it would been easy to understand why there was a misunderstanding in the calls because of communication !yeah right! they all guilty they know what they're doing. What goes around comes around they will pay. I will get my money back too.

They did the same thing to me they took 99 dollars out of my checking account they even wrote the check and the bank when along with it, they think is funny stealing or taking money but I already got people working in my case looking to score big, unified service think because they're in Nevada that is not going to be that simple to get caught up with them, is a small corrupt world and what goes around comes around, I will get my money back and even more, they think they slick but very unwise and stupid that's what they are. Now they will pay for the crime. UNIFIED SERVICES IS GHETTO AND LAME UNIFIED SERVICES IS LIKE FAMILY DOLLAR OR DOLLAR THEE OR JC PENNEY SOMETHING LIKE THAT. I think they came up with this idea to find out if they can get our check card number or checking account and get our money "fraud" and have success and get away, WRONG. Shun them all day all that bull with special offers 10 call them to cancel in fact cancel anything the same day. They will learn their lesson. I'll be back to claim what is mine. I knew when i spoke to customer service that girl sounded crappy like ghetto like she didn't care about anyone.

Aw! I just got to checking my balance on my checking account and lo and behold those ### took 149.95 out of my account for shipping and handling. I never even ordered anything from them! I don't plan on letting this ride, They lied to me and they stole from me! To make matters worse I'm on disability and have a fixed income. It was the same story though a check for 1.95 to get free goodies and a 1000 shopping spree. I bit the hook though and now I wish I hadn't. Im my opinion these sisters need to be eradicated, business destroyed, whipped out! How could this be legal? Next stop the BBB.

The same Unified Service called me with that ###, and I told them the same day that I didn't want to the stupid Internet and weight loss program. It also went along with the free $1000 dollar shopping spree, and the vacation. I called back with all the numbers that they "gave" me. None of them worked... all of a sudden Oct. 19, 2007 all the money that I had gotten paid, was gone! I have to go to my bank and see how I can stop the next time! I will try and call the numbers that I have found on this site!

I experienced the same Scam about a month ago, when those people belong to the Unified Services offered me a "free" service. I was not aware that they would rip $149.80 via my checking account. I called the Customer Service number to find out what is going on, but all they have was the advertising their products, and no one is on the line for asking question. This company is completely a Scam, they ripped off people money. Please, everyone, DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE FOOLING YOU TO GET YOUR MONEY!

This Unified Services called me today and they did the same to me that they did to other people. they called me with a special offer of a $1000 shopping spree and asked for my account and routing number.

Stupidly, i gave them my account number and they said they didn't need my routing number. As i was on the phone with them i tried to search for any information on them, but my computer started acting weird. Just as the account numbers slipped from my mouth this site popped up. As soon as I saw the word "scam" I immediately told them that i wanted to cancel everything i that i didn't want it anymore and the "manager" panicked and hung up in my face.

I immediately called my bank and tried to place a stop payment and warned them about unified Services trying to get anything from my account. Please people don't be as dumb as me.

I got a call from this supposed company and decided to give it a try...I know STUPID! They were very pushy. I got the matierals and cancelled 8 days after I recieved them. What they failed to mention is that you have 10 days from the date of post mark not the date you recieve which is how they are scamming all of us out of our $149.80. My bank good ole Bank of American can't do anything about it and are even aware of this and say it's my fault. This is outrageous and these people need to be stopped. They are stealing from hardworking people. I now just paid $149.80 for a service that is cancelled and I am not even sure what I am getting out of it at this time. NOTHING is what I figure. I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and if anyone wants to get started on a class action lawsuit, I will help in anyway and go with it until the end. Their entire company is just lieing and stealing from people. They should go out and get a real job! I am in the insurance industry and handle customer service all the time. I have never dealt with such rude individuals in my life. The last rep I spoke with said she wasn't going to sit here and argue with me. I thought that was unbelieveable because as a customer service rep you are supposed to assist your customers and well at this point like it or not I am a paying customer and had questions and in her words she chose to argue with me.

This company" unified services" is bogus. It seems all the calls are made by Indians...DONT BUY OR GIVE IN TO ANYTHING THEY SAY...for all we know your giving them $$$ for terrorists.
I just got a call 10 min ago from these people, i was busting their chops the more they tried to get my PRIVATE info..do these people think we're stupid. for those or you that had money taken from you I hope you get it back, with my sincerity.
If there is a class action suit count me in. but i doubt there will be any ramifications if they are based out of another country.
Good luck every one lets nail these ###

I don't think our phone companies are giving out this information. think back, was it something you signed up for? Maybe something random. I have been job searching and putting my info into databases like careerbuilder.com and such, and I'm thinking maybe that's how they got my info. Two comments on here say they have Verizon, one person has Sprint, and I have Cingular Wireless. There's no way all these major companies would submit our info to these scam artists, risking legal involvement themselves.

Ruth,

We found your complaint against our company posted on www.complaintsboard.com.

Firstly, we would like to apologize for the way you were treated by our sales representatives. We contract with sales companies to market our products and services. We have had a few complaints similar to this and we are taking every action possible right now to prevent this from happening again.

For us to track the representative that is responsible for this incident we need to have your name, phone number and the city and state in which you live. Please e-mail me directly with this information so that we can take disciplinary action against the individual(s) responsible. We would really appreciate you helping us out with providing this information to us.

Following is some information regarding our company and our products and services.

Our company offers a free 3 day 2 night hotel stay and a complimentary Internet shopping spree. Additionally, we offer 10-day trials for three other services; long distance, Internet and a weight loss supplement, which are also available to our customers.

Our trial offers are of exceptional quality and value. Our long distance program; Call USA is a calling card that can be used from any touchtone telephone. We offer unlimited calling anywhere in the United States and International calling to over 70 countries. Our service is a one-of-a-kind and is offered for only $23.97 a month.

The 2nd program we offer is for Internet service. Online Advantage offers unlimited high-speed dial-up Internet access to over 10,000 locations nationwide (great for traveling). We have one of the most competitive prices on the market at only $17.99 a month with no contract, so you can cancel when you like.

Our last program is for a dietary weight loss supplement called Ultra Thermo Boost 2000. Our product contains the safe natural weight loss ingredient, Hoodia. Our trial includes 20 pills which is a 10-day supply, absolutely free.

Each of our orders are recorded by a third-party verification company. We verify that each order is valid and that the customer did in fact agree to each trial. Additionally, when our customers agree to the trials, they are provided with each of the customer service numbers with which to cancel should they choose to do so before the end of their 10-day trial as not to be charged. The only reason why a customer would be debited is because they failed to cancel in the allotted trial time period

Our company prides itself in our excellent customer service. Our customer service center is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. Over 90% of our calls are answered in less than 4 minutes.

We apologize for any frustration this incident may have caused you. Please contact us with any further questions or comments.

Sincerely,

Unified Services
