I moved here to Knoxville from Philadelphia in December, I saw an ad in the knoxville setinel that said guaranteed $400-600 a week. In the it said nothing about sales just a friendly, energetic individual who likes loud music no experience necessary. Well when I called the number the girl who answered was very rude and had an attitude the size china. She had no answers for me on every question I asked and when I went in for the interview it was apcked wall to wall they were telling people to sit on the floor because they didn't have enough room.

Long story short, I got the job. I went in for training and the girl who trained us nice but all she kept saying was my first day I went in and had no idea what I was doing I just smiled and said wasn't that easy and they bought it. ###. Aside from her lying to us she couldn't stop arguing with her boyfriend who worked there as well. It was just a very unprofessional place.

So my first day going out with a 'crew' thank God my boyfriend was with me because the people in that van were so obnoxious. Between all of the rap music and the marijuana smoking it was ridiculous. They didn't care what you had to say or if you had a question to ask all they cared about was getting high.

I finally felt comfortable to do a demo by myself after watching other people do them all day and the 'team leader' told me no. I just about lost it. I sat that in that nasty smelly van all day for what? for him to tell me no? No I don't think so. So in the end I worked there a total of 3 days and got no money whatsoever because that $400-600 a week guarantee was legitimate either you only got that money if you demoed 30 shows in 2 weeks which is damned near impossible because they cram those nasty vans with 8 people.

Anyway if you are considering a job with the kirby 'family' think again before you do it because it is a disgusting company to work for.

I hate to read complaints about Ultimate Technologies. All I can do is assure both customers and potential dealers that these issues have been addressed and taken care of. We have cleared out the unprofessional staff and we have clarified the company guidelines for compensation. All dealers/canvassers are independent contractors. They work out of our office and distribute our equipment, but they do not work FOR us. They work for themselves. With that being said, it IS our job to take care of any complaints or bad behavior. So I apologize for the office during the time these complaints were posted. But, again, I assure you those things no longer happen. As far as the compensation goes, the former (happy) dealers are correct. We require 12 demonstrations to receive the $400-$450 weekly guarantee. If we have 15 dealers not showing the machines, how can we afford to pay them? If you worked at McDonald's and weren't making any hamburgers, would you get paid? Maybe for the day, but then you would be fired. This is an opportunity to build a career.

I can't believe this company does that well. They are hard to get a hold of if you have any questions or problems then when you cancel it's like pulling teeth to get them to honor their contract. I have to give them credit though because the woman that came to my door told me it would be about 20-30 minutes for them to clean my rug. About 3 or 4 hours later these people were still in my house. Their boss named "Bobby" came in and to get him to leave I finally signed for it but did not want the product. I then canceled it and waited for them to return my trade-in. He came to get the Kirby and failed to bring mine. He said he would get it to me later that week but he neither called nor showed. Needless to say he lied to me several times and told me I wasn't a customer and he didn't have to treat me as such. What nerve after I was polite and willing to wait a couple more days for my trade-in. Then he told me to go to Knoxville to get it myself, I have never been treated as badly as this company has done. They do not care about anyone but themselves and I would NEVER recommend them to anyone. I pray that you all keep your business in Knoxville because I wouldn't want you all any closer. Bobby and the woman in the office that answers the phone are a disgrace to a business especially a people business. I would recommend that no one ever lets these people into your homes, they are bad people!

These people came to our home and are very strange. A lady comes to the door and asks if she can clean a small section of your carpet and will only take a few minutes. I asked specifically how long and she said 20 to 30 minutes. I said ok but thats all cause I have to leave. Then a man appears and she says she has to leave him and go drop another salesman off down the road which was strange. He came in and pursued to show the Kirby Sentria, vaccuuming the floors and I said that s enough of that I thought you were gonna shampoo the carpet and he said ok...so he walks on my cream carpet with his dirty shoes. I thought this guy is gonna clean my carpet with dirty shoes on ...so I asked him to take off his shoes please as we dont wear our shoes on my carpet, which he did. He demonstrated the cleaner and got a spot on it from something on the bottom of the shampooer that stained my carpet and he could not remove it with his stuff. I had to give him some Crown Power to spray on it to remove it! Then it has been over two hours at this point and I am getting aggrevated. He offers a price of $2295.00 and we say no way then he comes down to 1895.00 and we say no way and he asks what would you pay. I said 600.00. He says 750.00 and we are about to accept offer and the lady comes back and she says there is no way there boss is gonna take that and says she is going out to vehicle to tell him. Then the boss comes in and they argue...which is for show I assume, but was very rude. I did not like all these strange people coming in and looking all around my house either. This was two and a half hours later. Then he tries to get us to agree to 850.00 that his boss said was lowest and we say sorry but no. The boss goes back outside and they leave him at my house. He is still trying to bargain as he is packing up his Kirby. We still say NO! He goes outside and gets on his phone and is acting very strangely, I am about to call the police at this point. He waits outside about 20 minutes and then they come flying down the road in their new black Cadillac Escalade passing up our driveway, pop the hatch on the back and he proceeds to load up the stuff in the back and I go and start writing their license plate number down and I tell him what I am doing and he says nothing jumps in the vehicle in they speed off. These people are very strange and I reccommend no one lets them in their house! I am still debating on whether or not to report this to the police but I have their license number if anything happens.

Good grief. I never understood why people who can't spell and who don't have a job are always the ones complaining! I worked there for almost 2 years. I had to quit because I was having a baby. I made am average of 450-700 a week. Everyone who goes through training has to sign the same paperwork. You probably don't remember that because not only can you not spell but, reading is not good either. They keep a very clean store. They are nice and try to be helpful to their customers. I understood that I was going to have to work hard because it was an opportunity not a job. There are some idiots that work there but the good people that are just trying to make an honest living outway the bad. By the way, they are rated A with BBB. It sure did beat flipping burgers.
A previous worker. Melissa.

Wow.. I dont know which is funnier the fact that "holly" cant spell or all the lies these two have told! Now lets use our common sense... after being treated so rude on the phone, a packed interview room, and all the arguing this 1st person still wanted to work there. Then please tell me what company would hire and not let the people work... Yup i really think this company spends all this money hiring people so they can be told no they cant work...lol I actually went to the same company, which has been in this area for 13 years, and was treated very respectfully and met lots of people who helped me and trained me thoroughly. I made money my first day at work. I have been working for this company for 8 months and absolutely love my job.. This job does require hard work and long hours thats why some people dont make the cut. Some people think they can show up not have to work and make all kinds of money well welcome to the real world. If you are looking for a great paying job with good opportunities and are willing to work hard then this is a great opprtunity for you.

thanks misty
