Dear Patz,

I am a long time employee for Dr. Karl Swanson and know without a doubt, we have NEVER given sedatives before a procedure unless we have a driver set up for the patient. He also would not tell a patient there is no down time for ANY procedure. Every single procedure could possibly have downtime, even if it's as simple as a small bruise or swelling of the eyes, we make sure to inform patients of all possible side effects. In addition to verbal notification of downtime, all patients are required to read and sign consents for every procedure so they know exactly what to expect, including downtime.

I also had CO2 fraxal laser done to my face. Dr. Swanson spent alot of time explaining the differences between regular laser and CO2 fraxal laser so that I could make an informative decision. Right from my very first visit (consultation) all the way through to my final visit he and his office staff performed with quality and excellence. I was not pressured into any decisions, in fact was informed to get a second opinion, if I could find another clinic offering the CO2 fraxal. I did do quite a bit of research prior to having my procedure done. Dr Swanson was going out of town for a seminar in Chicago but he still phoned me the following evening to see how I was doing, he did not leave this to his office staff. I think I forgot to mention that since I was a repeat customer and also an RN he gave me a 25% discount as a professional courtesy. I knew there was going to be approximately 5-7 days down time so was able to accommodate for that. I received many of compliments and still do, after 2 years, about how beautiful my skin looks. I am not a spring chicken in fact I am 62 years old and look 10-15 years younger.
To Nicole, Dr Swanson is board certified. I do not know where you got your information from but it is wrong. Check your facts dear before attempting to drag a good person through the mud.

Dr. Swanson never claimed to be a plastic surgeon. In fact, he advertisies that he performs non-evasive procedures at his Medical Center. Dr. Swanson is a very fine Doctor. He is very fair. I bet that if you were unhappy with something, he tried to make it right.

When dealing with someones imperfections there is a lot of emotions on the table. He understands that and that is why he is always honest when saying that nothing will ever make you 100% improved. He does state that your condition or problem will improve to a certain extent.

I am so sorry that you felt the need to come on this site and bash a good Doctor. That is ok. Dr. Swanson has had his practice for many years which is more than I can say for some Doctors. He also provide a very clean, safe environment.

As for the person that said he was drunk, sham on you. Ever think that the man might not have been feeling good. I guess all your days are perfect. Right? By the way, he is board approved. Check for yourself.

I went in for a consultation today and he was literally slurring his speech and drunk. I was horrified, and then noticed that he wasn't board approved.
