Two Men and A Truck lack of ethics

Years ago, I hired Two Men and a Truck from Palm Harbor, Florida, due to a Senior Citizen Discount. There was 10 boxes and 2 large items. I was quoted a price for a high-rise move for 2 hours. The 2 men were late, then told me they had to go back to their truck, but disappeared for almost 1 hour! They finally took my items, and told me to follow them, about 15 miles, but took a circular route. They demanded I pay for 20 boxes, a 4 hour delivery, and even asked for a tip! I asked to speak to their office, but got excuses, so I paid, minus a tip, and then called their office. I was told I would be refunded 2 hours, but was not, so contacted the Better Business Bureau. They claim they were going out of business, so I told them I would take them to Court, then got my 2 hour refund. I always see their trucks, proving they are still in business, but do lack ethics!

Many people complained about the bad experiences they had with Two Men and a Truck, if you had taken the time to read each complaint! I just agreed with them, that I also had problems! The first line of my complaint gives the name of this moving company, namely Two Men and a Truck. It pays to be well-informed, and not make assumptions you could be held liable for!

Why are you complaining now for something that happened "YEARS AGO"?
Did you just run out of things to complain about?

Two Men and A Truck horrible service

Daughter Kelley O'Hara scheduled a pack and move for September 27, 2014 at her Johns Creek Georgia 2 bedroom apartment. The movers said they had no packing supplies. The movers did a poor packing job and took until 9:00PM for the move. 30-35% of the contents of the apartment were left for her to move. Family members had to help most of the weekend and this week. I suffered a broken toe while moving items. I had to miss work to help move items. My daughter put her faith in the company to provide pack and move service but was very let down. She is a busy Executive and missed work due to this inadequate move. She has recently recovered from cancer and she did not have the strength to complete a move like this. I wanted you to know. We are not complainers but what is right, is right.

Two Men and A Truck lies, lost and amaged goods

Member Comments:
February 19, 2014: Total original estimate $79.50 + 718.50 + $2, 640 = $3, 438.00 The packers were scheduled for Friday 2/21 and delivery scheduled for Sunday 2/23. Packer arrived Friday to begin packing. Curtis came to deliver additional boxes and reassess Billy’s estimate. Curtis did a walk through the house (including closets) and garage. Curtis took pictures and was shown antiques. Additional boxes were delivered and paid for on 2/21. One charge of $105 and a second charge of $226.50 were paid on 2/21 (total $331.50). At the end of 2/21 packing was calculated at $1084.50 based on number and type of boxes packed. Packer left and planned to complete packing on 2/22. At the end of 2/22 the total packing was calculated at $1530.00. A charge of $413 was added for insurance at replacement value with no deductible.
February 22, 2014: Total charge quoted $1530 + $2, 640 = $4, 170.00
Movers arrived Sunday 2/23 to pack boxes in truck and move all items to Atlanta. Personal items were to be delivered to apartment and household items delivered to storage. Movers brought 2 trucks. Contacted Racheal about any additional charge for 2nd truck and was told the delivery would be charged by weight and the original estimate of $2, 640 should remain the same as Billy had estimated the cost (and he was very experienced and accurate). By 2pm Sunday the movers began to slow down. I was informed that the mover could not deliver to Atlanta and return to South Carolina in one day. They were limited in the number of hours they could work in one day. The mover Sean could not stay overnight in Atlanta as he had another job in Charlotte the next day. I agreed that they could take one truck and bring the remaining items to be taken to storage the following day. I was informed that they could not do that as the apartment items were not segregated and were in both trucks. They wanted to change the move day to Monday 2/24. I was not able to delay my arrival to Atlanta. I was to begin a new job on 2/24.
Spoke with Racheal about the situation and was told they could deliver the belonging to my apartment and storage Monday. I let Racheal know I was not able to meet with the movers Monday as I had to start a new job and would not be available (in meetings all day). Racheal said that would be OK and I gave instructions to the movers about how to get into the apartment and storage unit. I learned at 4pm Monday that the movers could not deliver my items unless I was there to sign the papers. I met the movers at my apartment and presented with a new bill, for a total of $6, 119.90.
February 24, 2014: Final invoice $6, 119.90
I called Racheal to ask why the bill was 30% higher than the original quote. Two Managers did a walk through the house and gave an estimate. She had also not given me credit for the prepayments charged on my credit card (79.50 +226.50+105). She credited back only $105. Racheal then informed me that there were 70 missing boxes she was charging to me. I was told that if I did not sign the bill all my items would be confiscated by Two Men in a Truck and taken back to Charlotte. I signed the bill under duress. After signing the bill the movers were allowed to remove my personal belonging that were to be delivered to my apartment. The movers were prohibited from delivering the household items meant for storage Monday because of the extended hours.
After unpacking the boxes delivered to my apartment Monday evening, I discovered that there were several items missing; including pants, sweaters, boots, jewelry, toiletries.
On Tuesday morning at 7:00am I contacted Will Shealy to let him know about the missing items. I asked him to call me and I would meet them at the storage facility before unloading the truck. He said he just woke up and would call when he knew what the plan was for delivery. I asked him to text me in case I was in a meeting, when they were leaving so I could meet them at the storage unit. I did not receive a call or text. I called Will and Rich several times and left a message to call me. At 10:30 Will Shealy took my call. He told me I needed to rent another storage unit. I asked him to stop because I wanted to be there and see what was going on.
When I arrived the movers had nearly unloaded everything. They were complaining about the job, they refused to assist in locating the boxes that were to be taken to the apartment. They had haphazardly packed the furniture and items in the 3 units rented. Antiques were buried and one antiques chair was hanging precariously on top of several items. Other items were left in the halls. There was damage to the top corner of the living room couch and one of the antique chairs was damaged. While I was talking with the manager of the storage unit, the movers began piling items into an empty unit. When the manager confronted the movers about using a storage unit without permission, the movers left with items still in the hall. They unprofessionally took off without finishing the job; there were still chairs and boxes left in the hall. The storage units were left open and not secured.
When I called the main office I spoke with Eric and told him about the situation. I asked that the movers return to the storage unit to complete the job. Eric told me the mover were already in SC, which could not be true as they only left a few minutes prior to my call. Eric refused to provide any assistance and would not take a follow-up call. Racheal informed me she would not help with situation and refused to resolve the issues.
February 25, 2014: Total charged to my credit card $6, 320.90 (30% higher than the original bid)
One day late in delivering personal belongings to apartment.
Missing several boxes; containing clothing, boots, toiletries, jewelry, purses, etc.
Two days late in delivering household items.
Did not notify me before unloading the truck at the storage so that I could observe as I had requested.
Packing in unit haphazard, antiques were not protected, damage to furniture noted.
Did not complete the move; left boxes and furniture in the hall.
The most unprofessional moving organization I have ever had seen.
Did not deliver on promise.
Refused to honor insurance claim for damaged and missing items.
Horrific experience.

Two Men and A Truck unprofessional & unscrupulous

The managers, are racists who can't keep good employees on the job or treat them right, that's why this lousy moving company has huge job turnovers, refusing to pay movers decent pay, make them work long hours with no lunch breaks or days off, they love to fire hardworking employees for no reason, encourage job discrimination, and they can't even read or properly perform their own pre-employment tests!

Two Men and A Truck movers

BEWARE: THEY DO NOT CARE - http://twomenandatruck.wxix.net/index.htm
The franchises are independently operated; therefore they are not held to the advertised promises of the brand.
They were hired to pack and load household goods for U-Pack transport.
Despite repeated requests they did not provide estimate and terms and conditions in advance as required.
They didn’t complete the packing as scheduled; promised the loading team would do it on the loading day.
They loading team showed up uninformed and unprepared; they didn’t bring wrapping and padding materials; in order to load on time they had us sign that we "declined to purchase as requested" what they hadn't made available.
They didn’t use the wrapping material we provided for protecting glassed pictures. They did not follow our request to not stack items to the full height of the trailer and make use of the full length.
They had us sign off on parts of the load when it was impossible to see behind a façade of stacked boxes or large items that glassed pictures were not protected at all and towers of heavy boxes were stacked on fragile furniture.
They blamed U-Pack transport for the about $2, 000 damage and disregarded the assessment of the un-loading Two Men team that most of the damage was caused by improper loading.
Being member of the Better Business Bureau they did not cooperate in the mediation of the complaint.
Two Men And A Truck Corporate customer service in their evaluation of the complaint did not interview the unloading team nor the customer, ignored the facts, repeated the technical excuses of the Chico franchise, and were "truly sorry that the movers from the Green Bay office indicated the load was insufficient."

Two Men and A Truck overcharged, not worth the money

This company seems nice, but it all about maximizing their profits by moving slowly, overcharging, and have no remorse for broken furniture or belongings. If you complain about anything, you will receive a letter stating, "I'm sorry, but there is nothing we can do." I called them, and they never returned my calls requesting someone to call me. Totally not worth the money to have this company move you. I highly suggest going with someone else. Had three guys for 3 hours and all they moved was 20 items of furniture. Would have been less if i didn't help.

Two Men and A Truck stolen items/poor customer service

I hired Two Men and a Truck to move me from GA to NC. The company stored my furniture in their Kennesaw storage facility for approximately 2 months. Upon delivery of my furniture to Charlotte, NC, I realized that several of my belongings, including a 32" television, dvd player, dvd movies, 3 lamps were missing. The lamp shades for these particular were found in one of the boxes, however, the lamps themselves were missing. When I called the office about the missing items, I was told by one of the office staff that they have had problems with items being stolen from the storage facility in the past. The movers and I checked through all of my delivered boxes 2x each to discover that the items were in fact not there. I was told that I would be reimbursed for the stolen items, but now the company refuses to reimburse me because 'they did not pack the items' and were therefore not liable. On 06/07, I spoke to John, the moving manager and he shared that my damaged dining room chair would be replaced and that the reimbursement check would be ready upon my arrival to Atlanta on 06/14. When I arrived to Marietta on 06/14, I was informed that I would only be reimbursed for the television but not the other items because the company did not pack them. I asked, how do you know what you all packed when an inventory was not kepy in terms of who packed what and what items were packed in each box. In fact, the company did pack those items and now refuses to take responsiblity for stolen items from their facility. Throughout this whole process, the storage facility was not apologetic, nor accommodating, nor willing to meet my needs as a customer whose items were stolen from their facilty. The manager of the storage facility even admitted to firing an employee for suspected theft, yet they were unwilling to acknowledge theft of my items that were stored in their facility. They have only exemplified a lack of professional ethics and liability. I had to call the corporate office to file a complaint in order for the general manager, Erin Woody to call me back, for her only to be combative and banter back and forth regarding my complaint. I have been appauled by such a display of poor business ethics and lack of professional responsibility that Two Men and a Truck have displayed. I chose this particular company and entrusted them with my personal belongings due to the high ratings that they had. If this does nothing but allow the company/owner and other customers to be made aware of the poor customer service exemplied by the managerial staff and discuss the misdealings of this particular case.

Two Men and A Truck moving damage

Moving company damaged my refrigerator and refused to pay for repairs. They came with the General Manager to look at the damage and the mover said the only damage pre-move was a small dent at the top of the door. Post-move, the left door had a twelve inch linear dent on the bottom of the door. The right side door had a circular dent, approximately 5 inches in diameter, also low on the door.

The mover said he wrote the damage up on the paperwork and I signed in in the poor lighting of the warehouse where the move ended. When I got home, it was not there, only noting the pre-move dent at the top of the door.

When the General Manager called today to say they would not pay for repairs, she said the mover did not say that the only damage premove was the small dent at the top of the door. This is a total lie. She also said that the mover pointed out the bottom damage to me - why would he do that unless it was new damage? Also, that's not what happened and that's not the way it was explained to her when she was here to examine the damage. I pointed out the damage to the mover. I verified that they would cover it and the mover even explained that the procedure was basically as described above. Why would he do that if it wasn't new damage. I had potential buyers look at the fridge the night before the move and they will verify that the damage was not present pre-move.

All I want is repair of the damage they did to my refrigerator doors. they can skip the apology for lying to me repeatedly.

Two Men and A Truck libel

What kind of company slanders their competitors online? The answer to that is "Two Men and a Truck." I saw it on a huge blog board called Topix.

Why haven't they been sued yet? I think I have the answer. Slander/Libel is all too common on this blog board, not to mention death threats by bloggers, blasphemy and just plain sick lingo like gross remarks addressed to blogger's dead mothers.

Anyway getting back to why I don't think Two Men and a Truck have been sued yet, I've been reading all over about lawyers across the country trying to subpoena Topix for various lawsuits. Topix is fighting back by using their deep pockets to make it difficult as possible to obtain these subpoenas.

I like the first amendment as much as the next guy. However, unless doing things like making bomb threats at airports become legal, slander/libel should not be legally allowed.

In conclusion I think Two Men and a Truck are the VERY WORST MOVERS and I think Topix is the VERY WORST BLOG BOARD.

There is a major boycott of the Topix site going on because the forums are unmoderated and allow criminal activity. There are several groups working on several things to try and bring some changes with this company that has no scruples. Parents should never allow their children on that site which often attacks children and makes a profit off of it. Sad but true.

Two Men and A Truck bad experience

Had a terrible moving experience with this company to put it mildly.

The handled my furniture and breakable items like they were all footballs to toss around. At the end of the move, many items were missing. I complained to their customer service, but they were totally rude and unhelpful.

Now for the worst part, I called my local police department and had an officer come to my new address so I could file a report. Turns out he was friends with some of the higher ups in this company and wasn't thrilled about my complaint. He said to drop the issue, or he'd make things bad for me, especially if I filed a complaint against him. I'm too scared to do anything about this now. But I'd thought I'd file this complaint here.
Unfortunately I don't want to give my exact location at this point. I will leave my email address but ask that I get contacted first, before any other steps are taken. When I move from the city I'm in I will disclose the name of the police department who threatened me.

Two Men and A Truck never use them

I hired Two Men and a Truck to move some items into my brand new house. It was a nightmare from the beginning. Their truck broke down, they broke their dolley which added time on to our bill, and they also damaged my brand new hardwood floor by dragging a piece of furniture across it. I called them back to complain and the manager came over to my house looked at it and said that I probably did it and they arent paying for it. The damage is only about $200 worth so suing them is not worth it. I think this is what they rely on as I have talked to another couple who also used this particular branch and they had a similiar experience. The couple said they broke their lamp and refused to pay for it. DO NOT USE THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!

READ THIS LETTER TO THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE, CORPORATE OFFICE SUPPORTS LOCAL OFFICE AND REFUESES TO SETTLE WITH ME OVER A MEER $4, 110.00 i ASKED FOR!

HERE IS A LETTER TO THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE THAT SUPPORTS THE LOCAL OFFICE AFTER ALL THE PROOF I HAVE

Ms. Tonya Wilson
TWO MEN AND A TRUCK/INTERNATIONAL, INC.
3400 Belle Chase Way
Lansing, MI 48911

Dear Ms. Wilson:

I received and reviewed your correspondence of June 23, 2009 on June 28, 2009 and immediately called you leaving a message. Since then, I have left two (2) additional messages and have not heard from you. After such a pleasant start to our conversations, it now feels like I am dealing with the Chattanooga office all over again. I am not pleased.

After taking the time and effort to reproduce and fax some 40 pages of documents to you indicating just how bad one of your franchises has acted, It appears you made one phone call and are regurgitating your franchises’ position disregarding the actual documentation that I sent you. I have grave doubts whether or not you even took the time to review them considering your response. I have been polite in the past stating that the Chattanooga office has been deceitful; In fact, they have now lied to you as well as me in an effort to “make this go away”. Let me assure you it will not. To condone their actions is tantamount to approval, something I would hope a corporate franchise would not do.

First, They did not” arrive” on June 4, 2008 in Woodstock, GA expecting me to be at that location. We signed the initial limited paperwork on June 4, 2008 and they were placing my belongings in storage on that date. If you had reviewed the documentation you would have known that they were informed of my need for storage for a two (2) week period when I was given the estimate for services. They did not finish on June 4, 2009 until sometime around noon and specifically told me they were going to place my belongings in storage at their facility. This was all in the documentation, yet you chose to believe the very people who are responsible for this “mess”. Secondly, I should not have had to be present on June 18, 2008 when they removed my belongings from storage. They took legal possession of my belongings on June 4, 2008 and, by interstate moving regulations, should have presented me with the Inventory of goods and damage report on June 4, 2008 when they left the first residence and prior to the damage they inflicted.

All of the other points you make in your letter are miss-statements of facts, based on omissions, or flat out lies by your Chattanooga Franchise. I filed a claim in January of 2009, a copy of which you have, well before the March date you site. I added to it at the specific request of Mr. Tom Turner representing the Chattanooga office. He had been verbally informed at least three (3) times and told me “they would take care of it”. Several of the items on this list totaling approximately $2, 800.00 have not been addressed. In fact, one of the antique secretaries they severely damaged has not been totally repaired to date. The drop leaf front was dropped at my doorstep by Chris Locklear months after their furniture repairmen had taken it to Chattanooga for repair. It has not been replaced as of this date and is the responsibility of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. The Microwave oven, on the June 22, 2008 list costing $528.00 has never been addressed. If indeed they paid their furniture repairmen $3, 375. 00, which I highly doubt, I was their own fault. They received an estimate from a Mr. Kenneth Sanders of Furniture Doctors in Atlanta for less than $1, 900.00. They chose not to use this local contractor, recommended by the Atlanta Franchise of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, based on “the high cost”.

I filed a claim for damages in the amount of $2, 800.00 in January of 2009 per their request. To date, it has been ignored. Since your Franchisee was remiss in their paperwork, did not comply with the Interstate moving guidelines, did not offer me damage insurance or a waiver prior to taking possession of my belongings, and transported them across state lines without the proper Interstate Moving and Tariffs contracts and Detailed Inventory and Prior Damage Report, They are liable for all of the damages they caused. It was noted on the June 19, 2008 paperwork that I was not satisfied, and I was told that the insurance was not retroactive since all of the damage by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK occurred prior to the protested signature of the contract dated January 19, 2008 which you sight. By the way, I was never asked to be present on June 18, 2008 when they removed my belongings from storage. If I had been present, I would have called the officials in Chattanooga and reported both theft and damage. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to determine why I wasn’t called.

Ms. Wilson, How would you feel if you had been treated as I have? The facts can not be disputed despite what the Chattanooga office tells you. They did not properly estimate the job ( Chris Locklear was aware of the extra packing requirements and the specific need for component boxes as shown on his estimate, he was also aware of the need for storage); did not execute the proper contracts in accordance with the Interstate Moving Guidelines, did not inventory my belongings at the point of origin as required, lied about storing my belongings at their facility and instead “tossed” them in a public storage facility without my knowledge, lost or stole items of value, and just about damaged every major Item I had them move. I just can not believe the corporate office condones this behavior by agreeing with their decision. You did not do your research but took the easy way out absolving yourself of the issue since they are a “franchise”.

Having been in business for twenty eight (28) years I know you have more power over your franchisee’s then you are acknowledging, In fact, you, as the corporate office of a company that touts “ Highest in Customer Satisfaction with Full Service Moving Companies” could resolve this issue yourself, but have chosen not to do so. I am sure this is not the first complaint against your Chattanooga office; I have heard several since my problems started. They acted as an inexperienced local “Joe Blow” moving company with a couple of straight frame trucks and inexperienced laborers. Initially they arrived and estimated they would be finished moving me by lunch. This was a 4000 square foot house with 18 years of accumulated items. They were still there at 7:00 pm and had to return the next day. Hardly “Highest in Customer Satisfaction”. I now know why they begged me not to call the corporate office on June 19, 2008, my mistake, But no one deserves the treatment I have been given because I did not call. No one could have made this up! It is larger than any fiction. If I had treated my customers in this manner, I would not have been in business for long. I expect that if you look closely, East Tennessee Moving does not deserve to represent TWO MEN AND A TRUCK

Based on your letter, I can see I will get no satisfaction from you. Therefore, I am formally requesting the name and number of your supervisor such that I may again explain how poorly one of your franchises has performed in customer satisfaction. I expect to hear from you shortly. Mean while, I will again explore my options with my attorney concerning TWO MEN AND A TRUCK, East Tennessee Moving, and TWO MEN AND A TRUCK INTERNATIONAL, no one, especially someone who is disabled, should be subjected to what I have been during a time of upheaval involving moving all of your possessions.

I will await your response prior to taking further action. I am sure both the BBB of Chattanooga and Lansing will take interest. Having been associated with several legal firms, I am also sure a judge will take interest in the fact that Interstate movement of goods took place without any contract as required by law, that you did not inventory the goods at origin but rather at a storage location without my presence or an invitation to be present, and the fact that TWO MEN AND A TRUCK has done the minimum to respond to this issue - which they created.

I apologize for the lengthy correspondence; however, based on your company’s track record, documentation is necessary. It seems that no one is actually reading my correspondence and recognizing the gravity of the situation concerning the lack of proper paperwork. Without an inventory at origin, and a contract prior to completing the job, you have grossly violated the very guidelines you sited. Only at the point of completion was I offered these documents, completed without my knowledge, after the fact, and signed under the threat of more cost to the tune of $210.00/hour while I did not sign. I was in shock that all of this should have been done and wasn’t. I am sure this would have been unacceptable to you as it was me.

I await a proper response by TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. Might I suggest that you have your legal department review the situation prior to responding, I am quite sure they will be interested in the lack of proper paperwork and your companies response to date.

Sincerely,

John R. Peoples

Two Men and A Truck bad employees

I was a property manager for a self storage company and had a tenant with some very expensive household furniture and items to be moved, about 900 square feet of stored goods stacked tight. Two Men and a Truck showed up to move the tenant, unfortunately at my recommendation, and before they could get started two of the guys are in the public restroom smoking a joint and getting high. I was furious that this would happen, but I found out from others that these privately owned franchised companies care very litte about the people they hire, (mostly homeless, winos and drunks) and even more they care very little about the people they are moving. To them, it's just a job and money. I would never use them again (anywhere in the U.S) and for sure never recommend that anyone else use them.

I worked for this company for a little over a year. I've never worked for such a man (Justin Langager) who lies to his employees and customers. He under estimates most moves under false pretenses, in order to get the customers business. Example... If in actuality, It takes us 7 hours to move you, he would tell you, that it would only take us 4 hours to move you in order to sale the job. Once we arrive at the job and realize its going to take 7 hours, customers would become angry with us (The Movers). We always received complaints about a job going over the estimate. I've attempted to resolve this matter as an employee by suggesting on the spot estimates vs over the phone estimates. His reply was that liars are buyers, meaning that customers do not tell him everything that is to be moved, during the phone estimate. That sometimes is true, but it happens a lot, instead of sometimes. We have received some complaints about our attitudes on the job, which was due to the customers reaction after finding out Justin lied to them. We worked hard as, movers to get our company in good standings for recommendation.

Justin would send his worst employees (those lazy ones, who do not care about the customers items) along with his hardworking best ones. That really became problematic because I have had to pay for numerous damages out of my own pocket. Eventually, we refused that idea and later became faced with a choice of working with the bad employees or termination. There was some incidents where some Bi-Sexual employees were hired and I would get harassed by them, also I was close to fighting after being touched. I asked Justin, not to put me with that certain guy again and explained why. He continued to put me with the guy anyway. Justin always says.. Go to work with a positive attitude and smile, but its was becoming more and more impossible under his conditions.

Last but not least, we strived to be the best at what we do. Meaning good customer service, care and safety. That would determine good replies at the end of our jobs, which would allow us to receive bonuses at the end of the month. I've learned that Justin does not post all the replies we receive on the website. The reason for that, is so that we had no way of knowing how much bonus funds we were entitled to. He recently just came with an Idea as far as how we were going to get paid. We started off as hourly employees, but now, Justin says we are to be paid for the reply cards re receive, which have to be 5 stars. There is 3 brackets of ratings. If we receive a rating of the low 4.50, we would receive 10.50 hourly, a mid rating of 11.50 an hour and the highest rating, 14.00 an hour. Again, since Justin is a dishonest man, I knew that we were in the process of being robbed by him. I felt he robbed the customers enough by overcharging them on boxes and supplies, port to port charges and never kept the same price rates. So I quit.

I do not recommend anyone to use this company or seek employment with this company ever again.

Two Men and A Truck carelss movers/bad customer service

I wish we had check this website out before we use these moving company. In July 2008, our lease was due and we decided to buy a house but it will not be ready until November 2008. With that we decided to move all our belongings to the storage until our house is built. We hired Two Men and a Truck (4 men and 2 truck). That was awful. Yes they got there on time but these guys are soooo slow that it took 12 hours to pack a 5 bedroom house. They didn't finished packing our house. Around 6pm we told them that the storage company closes their gate at 9pm. At 7pm they left headed to the storage company. At 8:45pm, they called and said that they just finished storing our things in the storage. The next morning, I decided to go to the storage and check things out. I have notice that it looks like someone was playing basketball with boxes. Chairs with Iron rod are on top of a china cabinet. I called the moving company and they came and took pictures and promised us (verbally... BIG MISTAKE) that if we use them when we moved out they will take care of everything. We moved out on November 4th and most of our furniture has scratches, washer and dryer has dents. The biggest thing that I am so angry is that they have broken the leg of my formal dining table. Thanksgiving we didn't have the table to use. We called the moving company and they told us that they are only paying us $300.00 because we didn't signed the insurance. Now they expect for us to fixed the leg of my table, fix the scratches of all my furniture and replace the two large mikasa bowl (wedding gift) with the $300.00 check they sent. Anyone out there please be careful when you are using this movers. Also write down all the time, when did they get there, what time they took lunch and how long. They will try to cheat.

I completely disagree, I used them a few weeks ago the Two Men And A Truck Glendale/North and they were fantastic. They were on time, clean, professional and fast and most importantly actually cared about my belongings. I HIGHLY recommend [protected]

Two Men and A Truck worst move ever

Last Saturday, I had Two Men and a Truck signed up to move me. It was a complicated move because my mother recently passed away so I was basically moving two houses into one. The woman I spoke with on the phone initially was very nice and very professional. I told her that it was a lot of stuff, that I had packed it all myself and that, particularly, there were a lot of large heavy plants.

The movers came to my house, looked around and told me that they couldn't move my stuff: it was too dirty. Huh. I might not be the best housekeeper in the world but we're really not talking boxes dipped in raw sewage here. We're talking mostly liquor store boxes, all packed and taped up. Half of the boxes had been sitting in the garage so, yes, they were dusty but they were sealed. They said that they didn't want to move used boxes in their truck. They said that my futon mattress, which has an old water stain on it, might be a biohazard in their truck. They said that since I have dogs, there was animal dander on the boxes and therefore they wouldn't move anything. I couldn't believe it.

Since I had no choice whatsoever, I told them to go on and do the other half of the move. They went over to my mother's house, which is immaculately clean and animal free. Well. They refused to move most of those boxes as well, since they were also used boxes. Then they refused to move the plants.

When they got to my new house, they were surly, uncooperative and rude. We specifically asked them to put some things that were going to my daughter's house towards the front of the garage. They buried them in the back - in fact, I had to hire different movers to come and rearrange the garage for me. They refused to move the couch into the living room, claiming that it wouldn't go through the door. Interestingly enough, some friends of mine moved it through the door that night with no trouble at all.

I've never had an experience like this before. They were completely terrible and I will never, ever hire them again or recommend them to anyone. Get the word out and do not use this company.

Two Men and A Truck terrible, rip off company!

Two Men and a Truck
1257 G Kennestone Circle
Marietta, GA 30066

Dropped and destroyed my exexcutive desk. After communication with office, they said credit card no longer acceptable, cash was necessary to get the remainder of office furniture from truck. If cash was not available in 20 minutes my furniture in their truck would be delivered to their lot at a $500.00 per day charge. Two men and a truck destroyed my desk and proceeded to treat me as criminal. Offered $75.00 for a $1500.00 desk. Totally dishonest and rude. Office manager( told he was manager) incompetent ###. Will go to court for damages. Terrible company and national office cannot help because they sell franchises and have no authority. Rip Off.
