In March, I ordered a set of the old Untouchable series. They charged me $58.94. A month later I recieved them in a box addressed from China. Upon opening them I realized they were bootlegs, no studio markings, disc numbers hand written on them, loose in the boxes. I called the Motion Picture Association of America. Their fraud division investigator verified they were bootlegs and that this company is currently under a piracy investigation and that they operate under several names. He also advised me to check my account as their M.O. is to make the initial charge, wait a few days and make a another charge for the same amount under a different name and that some buyers have reported having their identities stolen and their accounts wiped clean. Sure enough, I checked and found the first charge was $58.94 from "GREAT HOME DVD." Four days later a duplicate charge for $58.94 from "WHAT-A-DEAL DVD." Since both of these charges originated in China, I was also charged a foreign transaction fee of .47 cents for each. I immediately locked my account out and had a new card ssued. These DVD's are of poor quality, some almost unwatchable, some unreadable by the player, most taped off air from Channel 9 Twin Cities. The bank reversed the duplicate charge but since I did receive an item, I'm stuck for the other $58.94, but they did remove the foreign transaction fees. We should have done our homework: if they don't list studio information, a real address and telephone number on their site: CHECK COMPLAINT BOARDS.COM & DON'T BUY!
