Buyer Beware. It's hard to stress that enough with a company
like this. Do a quick google search for "tvaddicts.tv complaints"
and you'll know what I'm talking about. This so called company
has several pseudonyms such as:

TVDVDPlanet.com
Direct Media
dvdavenue.tv
DVDCraze.tv
TVDVDMania.tv
TVonDisc.com
www.raredvds.tv

They also trade on Ebay.com under these known nicks:

greyhare68
*FLASHASH*
shoot.john
huntyoudown

I originally came across this company looking for the
Duckman box set and found a great deal on
for only $44 US. I got suspicious when I went to the
order page and encountered this:

"Your IP address is : xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - and it will be recorded in our databases."

Luckily the logged IP address was incorrect, but this
page was asking me for my personal information and was
not a secured site. Anyone shopping online should be
looking for such clues. Reading through the complaints
already available online, most consumers have encountered
a plethora of problems on all the afore mentioned sites.
Many of which are no longer in business. Just from reading
the reviews it appears to be a bootleg/pirate organization
feeding off of ill informed online buyers. Several reports
claim the company to be based in Russia and several more
report the company to be based in Canada. Either way, I luckily
have not sent these people any money. I only hope this review
reaches would be buyers, lets get the word out and shut this scam down.

Following is domain registration information on the few
sites that are still in operation. Some including contact
info for those who have already been burned by this so called
corporation:

I received several e-mails from DVDCraze.tv saying my dvd's were on back order. The last time I called the listed telephone number it had just recently been disconected. I know this because I had called it one week before and had received their message machine. Their web site has also been disconected. I called the BBB in LA because thats where the dvdcraze number area code and prefix belongs (213-725-5232) and was told that the # had been listed to a company in LA by the name of "All my favorite showes.com". Apperantly I'm the first one to complain to the BBB because they said that there are no other complaints against that company. They also told me that there is no record of a company being registered as dvdcraze.tv. I don't know if anybody can use this info, but there it is. Good luck and happy hunting.

Wish I'd come across your posting before making my boxed set purchase. Not only did I receive bogus DVDs (blank) but the my credit card number was used by a syndicate in Nigeria that began to make all sorts of charges. Luckily my bank picked up strange charges immediately and invalidated my card. Interestingly enough- despite a disconnected phone number and a "online chat customer service" that did not function, an e-mail complaint went through and I did eventually recieve a refund without any request to return the DVDs. Perhaps to avoid further legal recourse from my bank. The bigger headache was ending all the magazine subscriptions the scammers started with my card. Typically small charges are run through first on a stolen credit card number to see if it's active... They could be an initial $1.00 here and there or a small charge such as a subscription to a magazine, a coupon discount service or some other electronic subscription plan. FYI. When I went looking to purchase this DVD boxed set elsewhere, I keep running across this group under the different business names mentioned above. Why can't they be taken down? Anyhow-- your mail above was tremendously helpful to me in verifying if the website was fraudulent before entering my number again. The first website definitely looked homemade. TVDVDMania looked a little more professional- but still not quite right. Too many claims that they have awards and ratings- with graphics that are too large and pasted all in the wrong places. And if Amazon doesn't carry it, then my product probably does not exist. Should have guessed that...

I totally agree with the complaints and wish I had followed my instinct or found this fraud comments before I ordered... At the end of Nov. I ordered the set of "A Different World" because Amazon.com told me that the manufacturer stopped making the product after season 1 because of lack of interest. I'd been searching for this series, along with "Sisters" and "Scarecrow and Mrs. King." My credit card got billed right away, but by Dec.16th I still hadn't received my package, so I called my credit company and told them I'd been defrauded and that I hadn't noticed before but this company doesn't even offer a phone number to call, and that the 5 emails I'd previously sent have gone unanswered...

I got the package in the mail today. I got a group of discs, with poor quality box and it's copies of my local tv station recordings. I could have done that myself. I'm trying to send these back but they say they don't refund shipping. I'm going to file fraud charges with my state's attorney generals office if they don't leave my credit card credit completely alone. This shipment came from China, shipped expressed at $24.00, comment as to what the shipment was was "gift accessories." To me that's fraud...

BUYER BEWARE-DON'T ORDER FROM HERE. I LET AMAZON.COM KNOW THAT I GOT THE ADDRESS FOR THIS COMPANY FROM THEIR WEBSITE...

I ordered Third Watch as a Christmas present. It arrived from China a few days after Christmas. I opened the package and as a previous poster stated, it was also copied with a video camera shot while the series was playing on their tv. I sent an email to the company, stupidly hoping for a local address to return the dvd's to, and got an email today saying they charged my card again and shipped a second set. I immediately contacted my credit card company and filed a fraud complaint and cancelled the card. I tried calling the FBI last week and they had an 'it's not important to us' attitude.

WHY ARE THESE SITES ALLOWED TO REMAIN UP???

I ordered the TV seried Dynasty from TVDVDMania and the recordings are so poor that you can hardly see them and the disc's freeze up while playing. I wish with all the complaints that I have found that someone would have taken some kind of leagal action. I am going to take this info. to the FBI here in my area (Sarasota, Florida) and see what can be done to stop these people and have them removed from the internet.

Had the same problem as above. Wish I had looked at complaints first. Ordered full 8 seasons of Simon and Simon for a gift. Looked like a pretty fair deal BUT... They came out of China, as a very poor copy and no way to return discs or get my money back.
