I was so excited at the prospect of a fried turkey for Christmas dinner, that I traveled 35 miles to pick up the turkey on Christmas Eve. I overlooked the fact that they lost my order and I had to wait over an hour for them to fry me one. It was obvious they were overwhelmed by the volume of orders. My fear was then, which later proved to be true, they would not get my order correct. On their website they claimed you can have 64 flavor combinations injected into a turkey. Even though I ordered multiple injections for different parts of the bird, I would have settled for 1 flavor; but there were NOT ANY flavor injections. The turkey was dry and lacked flavor. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Had they adhered to their order cut-off, I think this might have been a different posting. I can only go by the product I received which was disappointing and I will not be patronizing this establishment in the future.

    I purchased a Living Social coupon from the company a few weeks ago, for a fried turkey from TurkeezRUs (though Sweet Teas Catfish and Blues restaurant).

    After purchasing the coupon, I ordered my turkey online at Sweet Tea's website; and after getting there on Christmas Eve, December 24 to pick up my turkey at my designated time at 3:30pm, they had lost my order. This place was a run-down hole-in-the-wall place that smelled of gross grease, had grease coating the floors (I slipped when I walked in), two men working in sweatpants, and stopped up toilets. Despite my reservations about this place, I talked to the guy who said he would have my turkey ready for me at 6:45pm when I came back later that evening.

    I showed up at 6:15pm, a little early, but waited. They told me that my turkey would be ready in 15 minutes. After waiting 25 minutes, I went to talk to them again to see what was going on. At this point, there were a handful of other customers waiting for their turkeys as well. I talked to a few who said they had been waiting almost an hour after their designated pick-up time. During my time waiting, only one person received a turkey- a turkey of which was packaged in PLASTIC GROCERY bags to be sent home with the customer. One of the guys came out to make an announcement that all turkeys would be an hour to an hour and a half before they were ready. As I had already been waiting close to 40 minutes at this point, I asked him when mine would be ready. He proceeded to tell me that it would be ready in another 45 minutes "or so."

    This is when I got very angry. I reminded him that I had already come in once that day for a turkey and he told me that my turkey would be ready by 6:45pm. He proceeds to "correct me" and say that he told me it would be ready by 7pm. I looked at my watch and said "well ok, that's in 10 minutes. You JUST told me it would be another 45 minutes or so." I told him that this place was very unprofessional, probably not being performed legally, and that I was leaving. I was NOT going to spend my Christmas Eve sitting in a grease filled room waiting for a turkey that probably was not even cooked all of the way. I walked out shaking and crying for being so angry. At this point the grocery store was closed and we were unable to get our turkey for Christmas.

    I ALSO HAD BAD SERVICE FROM THIS PLACE!!! COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS!!!
