Truworths cash refund will take 48hrs to be paid

Dear Sir/Madam

I bought a white top at Truworths Baywest Mall and I swiped using my debit card to purchase it.

When I get home I realised that its neckline is quite bigger than my normal size 38 neckline so i decided to return it on Saturday morning at 9am, which is their opening time. The cashier suggested if I can come a little bit later because they just opened and do not have cash yet to make my repayment.
I did'nt have problem with coming back in the afternoon.

I came back in the afternoon.
The lady who attended me in the morning was busy with another customer so another cashier asked if she can help me.
I let her do the transaction as I thought the policy is the same regardless of who helped me earlier or not.
She asked for my debit card to confirm the digits as they appear on sale doclet.
After few minutes, she told me that she reversed the refund.
My phone didnt indicate the transaction as it did when I made the payment when I was purchasing the top.
I asked her when am I going to receive my money because I gave them back the top.
She said it can take up to 48hrs.
I went back to the lady who helped me in the morning and asked her since when is the debit card purchase has that policy.
She said she only knows that when the sale is made via debit card a customer is paid in cash. She knows nothing about this policy followed by her collegue.

My question to you is arent you doing the same training to all your cashiers?

I also wanted to buy a black shirt with the refund as I am invited to attend rhe interviews on Monday the 15 October. The type of the black shirt i wanted was not available at Truworths so that means I will only get the money after on the day of interviews or later.
I feel like i was treated unfairly because when i made the purchase you instantly got paid then why do I have to wait for 48hrs now that its my turn to receive money? (cash refund)

Truworths customer service

Customer service .. no not the kind you think of, not the actual service we received from your very capable staff in Canal walk last night, but the actual support team to your staff. I came into your store last night to make a purchase. I had my wallet stolen in July and I have not activated my new card yet so I brought my ID and knew the process. To my shock and horror your CS Agent was so rude to your staff member ( Christine ) trying to assist me that it brought her near to tears. The agent told her not to shout at her after repeating an instruction for clarity. She was not shouting.. not even close. So the agent refused to help her even after apologising to her for something she didn't even do. She ended up hanging up the call and the supervisor Kauthar then came to step in as she could see there was a situation arising and by that time we had been in the store a while. Kauthar then called CS for us, had to check my ID under the UV light 4 times and scan it countless times and that even after I had confirmed all my details with the agent. So the agent puts her on hold and she responds to my disbelief of this process by empathising and apologising to me for it taking so long. ( Which is part of good service and also defusing a tense situation ) He must have listened in on her call and what do you know... he goes off on her, asking her what she was talking to me about ! What the heck ! SO the sale eventually goes through and he ends the call by telling her that she should not phone from this line again. I have to tell you.. never before have I seen this kind of behaviour and disrespect from Customer Service agents. Is this the kind of support that you as a company lend to your staff ? If it was not for the wonderful service of your Canal walk team I would have settled my account and closed it. If it was 1 agent we could use the excuse of rotten apple, but both of your agents last night were very, very unprofessional and I think they need to be retrained and also apologise to those to store staff. They obviously have no regard for service because if they did they would have left all their issues aside and focus on the customer that is obviously in store experiencing an issue. It is also not ok that they abuse your staff and leave the customer hanging, because you probably don't feel like working on a Friday night. I want to have urgent feedback about this complaint as this is a issue I will not let go and I will go to every complaint platform if this is not resolved.

I was at the counter from around 20:20 till 20:45 the calls happened between those times.
The agent was female ( Nomatshelo ) This spelling is probably horribly wrong but the name was something in that line.
The second agent was male, but I did not get his name.

Truworths incorrect card posted

I recently opened a brand new Truworths account at Pavilion Durban and purchased for R500. I was advised the card will be delivered to my home via post. I received my card addressed to me and paid my first installment of R142 using my debit card at City View store on 2 Sept. I presented my ID and new card. I kept on receiving sms that I am in arrears. I called truworths call centre and was advised no payment was received. I was then requested to scan my bank statement and the card no. Used. Over a month has passed and no feedback was received. I went back to City View branch and presented my card to investigate only to find out that the brand new addressed to me was in someone else's name. I spoke to the store manager Samke on Sunday. 4 days later no response. Who is liable for my arrears reflected on the credit bureau? Who is in possession of my card if I received someone else's. PATHETIC

Truworths who do I have a contract with? truworths or mbd?

Today 25/09/2018 I went to settle the account at Truworths Pavillion, the lady there told me my balance was R1446.80.
I than told her I want to close the account, she refered me to MBD after getting off from a phone. I called MBD and spoke to two very rude ladies aboout me closing the Truworths accounts.I was told I still owed a further R500 rands, I told them Truworths said my balance is R1446.80 and not R1900, I have a contract with Truworths, I signed forms when I opened the account with them not with MBD.

Now since I paid Truworths R1446.80 how come does Truworths pass me to another company when I want to close my debt with Truworths.
Why did Truworths take my R1446.80 money knowing that I STILL owed more?WHY?
Do they know that I had to take my childs school fees in order to close that account?

Truworths was treated as a common criminal/thief

On the 24 September my husband wrote a letter allowing me to purchase on his account . At the Canal Walk store as only manager (no one senior )Corgio Hernies, refuses to authorise the purchase( two items to the value of R800). According to him, my husband's signature on the card and the letter did not match. They were similar but not exact. According to him it's their policy that it must be exact. No one in the world sign's exactly the same. He bluntly refused to assist me or even call my husband on the numbers that they have on their system to confirm this.

It seems like Truworths staff was send on a Forensic course specializing in signature comparisons.

I was never ever embarrassed like this. No customer service at all. So sad.

This is not the first bad experience we have of this store. A few months ago, they had an issue with his ID, now it's his signature, what's next?

Truworths both product and service provided from truworths bloed street mall branch in pretoria

I fit a shoe on and liked it, asked the salesman to get me the pair that I wanted and he said that they only had one pair left. One of shoes didn't have a belt on so u asked if the salesman could call other branches and he said that the other branches didn't have those shoes in stock so I asked for a small discount but management refused and didnt even have the audacity to come explain to us personally they sent the salesman back and forth. VERY unhappy with branch's service.

Truworths truworths

I was contacted by a debt collector from Truworths. I explained that I had already made a payment online. She was extremely rude and told me she will continue to harass me because I raised my voice at her. I work in a busy hospital and these people are constantly worrying me. I would like the call to be reviewed! Furthermore she dropped the call while I was still talking to her.

Truworths refund or exchange

Refuse Refund or Exchange

On the 17/4/2018 my wife bought a jacket of R999. On 5/9/2018 she took it back because the stitching came loos on both sides of the jacket. The guys behind the counter refused to exchange or refund it. They say someone has pulled on her and that is the reason that the stitching came loose.

Truworths ginger mary shoes purchased from truworths

I am currently at work wearing a ginger mary shoes which i purchased probably at the begining of this year, n the shoe is now peeling and looks so pathetic, it is embarassing. If i wanted a cheap equality shoe i wouldve purchased shoes at a flea market and not at truworths. I wont even bother trying to return it because they are likely to give me hassles about the having the till slip etc. This is only the second time that i am using this shoe and it looks like this... please explain to me how this is possible? I am really dissappointed that now i have to walk out of my office with shoes that are falling apart. This is ridiculous :-( pls see pictures attached.

Truworths product purchase

Good Day,

I am writing to you to let you know my disappointment…

I purchased a pretty Ginger Mary dress from Truworths in Pinecrest centre in Pinetown in March 2018.
(you would know the price is not cheap… between R450 - R 500 - I can't remember the figure).

To my disgust, I went to the Chatsworth centre this Saturday 01 September 2018 and saw the exact same dress in a little store for R180.

Why and How are dresses made by / for the Truworths and subsidiary brands being sold to the little Chinese shops?
Apart from the price we pay at Truworths or any store, we pay for the brand we are wearing - -I don't want someone to be able to pick up the same dress at a Chinese store!

I would like for someone to address this please.
Ask the staff at your truworth's in Chatsworth to go to the little shop next to CNA ( I don't know the name) - its displayed on the window…it's an orange, brown dress.

Truworths appalling service from the consultant and area manager

I went into Truworths Randburg Square branch to clear my pay my account, I instructed the lady the to process the transaction on budget option on my credit card and she said she did I asked her again before I even put in my pin code and she insisted that she did .I raised this with the manager there by the name of Sharol and she said she would call me back however she had someone else by the name of Masehela call me and still they did not seem to understand what my query was about that's when I asked for the area manager to call oh my goodness first of all she didn't know why she way calling me although her defense was that she wanted to hear from me what my query was about .I told her what my issue was about and still she could not have been bothered as she did not even acknowledge where they went wrong and apologies instead she and the so called Masehela had the audacity to tell me that I should take my time, use my resources to call my bank and sort out their mess.This is seriously appalling service.

Truworths manager scolding employee in front of customers

Truworths Store at Greenstone Mall had a terrible experience hearing the manager shouting at 1 of your employees in front of customer which I couldn't understand why would a manager shout the employee in front of the customer? How are we supposed to shop happily if we going to see & hear the staff members being unproffessional, please check if that manager is well upstairs she is wearing a red coat today & couldn't believe her nonsensical behavior

Truworths bad service/no service

I had a very bad year end of 2017. Hailstorms through Heilbron left my car with R37 240 hail damage. I had to fix the car. I was contacted by Truworths and I paid R1650 for a view months but they where not happy and I explained to them I can only pay R500 after the hail damage. All of a sudden MBD Credit Solutions starts phoning me with treaths. I explained to them that I can only pay R500 every month. Every month I received calls - arrasing me -I still kept to the R500 arround the 15th of every month as I promised.
Now in July MBD Credit Solutions as well as Daly Credit Corporation starts with treaths. I explained to Daly's people I made that arrangment but they are listing me as a default client on credit bureas as default payer. I can not understand why? Why does Truworths get two companies to sue me? If I went into agreement with them.

Truworths poor service

Good day.
Today I went to Greenacres truworths, port elizabeth as i heard that they are having a sale. I went during my tea time. I got to the store just after 10. When I got to the till, I was told that the sale only starts at 12. I said that unfortunately I am during my tea time, and will not be able to come back again at lunch time as I am 7km from the mall. They were very unhelpful and just said. they cant help and they dont keep sale items. Needless to say that I was very angry and frustrated. I asked to speak to the manager, who said the same. I asked for customer service number, which they gave. I phoned customer care at 10:20. same song. Sale starts at 12. I asked to speak to the manager on duty at customer care, a Mr Zafir. Also not very helpful. He eventually made some idiot statement, saying If I speak to the area manager, maybe at a later stage, they could offer me the items at the discounted prize, to which i responded "why would they do that days, weeks after the sale, but they cant make exceptions 1 1/2 hrs prior to the sale. I told him I am very upset, as customer care really not having the best interest of the customer at heart. By then I was no longer in the shop. He said I must get the area manager's nr. I told him I am no longer in the shop, and that I want him to phone the shop and get me the number. To which he agreed.
It is now 11.45. I am back at work.
No call back from the customer care manager.
My question to you.
Why does a sale only commence at 12. what is the purpose of that.
Why are your employees so nonchalant and have dont care attitude.
I am so angry that I truly feel like closing my account with you.

Truworths bad customer service at truworths simmonds street

Bad customer service at Truworths Simmonds Street. When asking about the product, the answer will be, I don't know, ask ANY OTHER PERSON, they will leave you there as if you are a stupid fool. Not caring for their customers. Very USELESS. The manager is also very unfriendly. Kindly teach your staff to love, respect and take care of their customers.

Truworths closing of the store before time

Good day
I went to Truworths golden walk last week Wednesday and Thursday at 17:50 and the store was already closed but the time on the door says 6:00 o'clock, like how is that possible ?.can you please go back and change your time on the door .I believe they should be closing at 6 :00 o'clock on the dot not one minute before as it says 6:00 on the door.i explained this to the security guy at the door and I was told thats the time they close the door every day

Truworths bad customer service

A few days ago I got a call from a lady saying she is from Truworths. She then proceeded to ask me personal questions such as ID number, Street address or date of birth. We are constantly warned about SCAMS so I refused to answer her! As much as she demanded to ensure she was talking to the correct person - how do I know I am even talking to someone from Truworths!

She then advised that if I was uncomfortable giving out my info she would never the less continue the discussion and advised me my account was in arrears. I advised I would go to the shop at month end and make payment when I do my instalment as I could speak to the cashier and ask for a printout of my statement.

She obviously disregarded what I was saying because she wanted banking details to organise a debit order - what part of I will go in at month end did she not understand? I told her I would make payment at month end and am not giving banking details.

Subsequently I have received numerous messages advising me that my account is going to be handed over! Why? I told you I was going to make payment at month end when I pay my instalment so what's with the threats?

Anyway, I am aware from my previous statement that it looks like I only have 2 more instalments to pay - I am done with Truworths - they have no customer service and no listening skills!

Looks like they choose soft targets who they can see generally pay their account! I am closing my account and will definitely not recommend people open accounts or shop here!

Truworths service

Hi

Hi bought a shoe for my husband as a birthday gift, and because he is in between sizes as it depends on the make of the shoe I took size 11. I gave him the shoe on his birthday as it was a suprise birthday gift, he tried the shoe on the 19 July 2018 on his birthday he walked in the house for less than an hour and unfortunately the shoe was too big and we need a size 10 instead. On the same day of his birthday we went to the truworths store in canal walk cape town to do the exchange it for a smaller size, just to be told that sorry the shoe was worn, yes it was just to see if it fits but because the sole was dirty "clearly" they could not do the exchange. I spoke to the store manager, regional manager aswell as the operation manager, just to be told that they won't take it back. I was told that they can't sell the shoe again so and that the business will lose money. What about the consumer, so it's ok for me to pay for something that my partner can't wear. I would've understood if the shoe was worn outside and for a full day, but not less than an hour in the house to try it. I received a call from head office to advise that I need to collect my shoe as they not doing or authorising the exchange. And all that care about is making money because all I got from them was " we can't sell the shoe again, and we loosing out on R900" what about me! ? I'm losing R900 now as a customer as an individual I don't have my own business I don't have money to waist on something that my partner can't wear. I don't want my money back or credit all I want is a different size that's all. I had to see my doctor the next day because of this stress I'm pregnant and can't really deal with this right now. If this is not resolved I don't want the shoe because I don't know what to do with it. I will pay my account and close the account I think its for the best for myself and my unborn baby.

Truworths debt collection calls

Dear Truworths

For the last few months I have been receiving phone calls asking me to pay my account before the next installment is due.

I pay my account every month at your stores, and when I make the payment I ask the person assisting me what the installment is so I can pay the correct amount.

Yesterday I received a call asking me to pay my account. (19 July 2018)
I asked why I was being asked to pay my account before the instalment was due and I was then told my account was in arrears of R17?! I asked why I was not told this when I paid my last installment as I would then have paid the extra R17!
( FYI I have an outstanding balance of R118 owing.)
I was then asked a series of personal questions relating to my personal bank accounts and ID numbers and then asked if the amount could be deducted from my bank account. This after I had said that I would settle the amount month end when my next installment is due.

I did not appreciate being harassed about an error you made, and to be asked such personal information on the phone.
Clearly your staff instore and your people calling me are not on the same page with regards to accounts.

This has happened numerous times now and I am fed up.I am getting a bad credit reputation because of your errors even though I pay my account every month.
I have had this account for around 10yrs now and I do not wish to continue any longer.

Truworths customer service - staff attitude

I am greatly aggrieved with the service I have received from Truworths. On Sat 14/7/18 I receive a call at 8am from the call centre. Through my sleep I am thanked for handling my account so well and then I am bombarded because of a short payment last month of R400. I'm stumped because I can't believe I shortpaid but I tell the lady I will sort it out later in the day. This lady starts yelling at me that she needs to make an arrangement with me. "Geez I just said I would sort it out." So I tell her because I am upset now that I would complain about her and goodbye. I emailed that complaint to customer services and they have not replied to do anything about it. They rather advise me that the internet payment I made on Saturday which if I may add is more than the shortpayment will only reflect in 4 or 5 days. These customer service ladies Wasela and Aashieqah have only aggrieved me more with their non chalont attitude towards my complaint. Furthermore today I also receive an important notice from Truworths that my account is overdue and it will negatively affect my credit record. Really all of this due to an oversight of mine where I paid them R400 short. I'm done with Truworths they have no customer service at all.
