TruGreen untruthful salesman

TruGreen did wonders for my lawn. Workers were very helpful in explaining what they were doing and answering my questions. Problem was: The sales representative for Trugeeen #4495 Evansville, Indiana was relentless in calling about what I needed to do for my trees and shrubs. When I told him I could not afford one specific large project he said I needed, he told me, "no problem. We'll work with you". I had it done and the bill came soon after. I started paying $50.00 each month...that is when letters, phone calls started coming. Bottom Line: If you can't afford to pay your amount in one lump sum, don't have it done because there is no..."no problem" with TruGreen. They want it now.

TruGreen calling ever

This is the worst lawn service company that I have ever used. The quality of their work is very poor. Din't noticed any improvements in my grass after using them for a year. They have continued to call me on a weekly basis at any time of the day and have ignore my request for them to stop calling me. I don't recommend this Company to anyone, they may be the largest but are the worst.

They continue to offer you extra services and even when you tell them you don't want them, they will continue on calling you.

TruGreen repeatedly overcharged for services not performed

The ***, Ga office continues to send invoices for services that were never performed. I spoke with Brenda in the office and she said she would handle it. She never did. Bryan, the manager refuses to speak with me. Instead they turned by 85 year old father over to collections. I refuse to allow him to pay for something he didn't get.

This is the absolutely the worse managed company I have ever seen. Don't due

business with them. It's apparent there is some sort of pay incentive program based on billings regardless whether they're legit or not.

TruGreen this outfit stole over $950 dollars from my family, before we finally told them to take a hike

Lawn Destroyers - Last year in 2008 we subscribed to TruGreen Lawn Service for repeat applications of their lawn fertilizer and weed control system that they said was the best. Well, it was the best LIE in the country. Not only did our lawn nearly die out, it was over grown with weeds. TruGreen continually called to offer special applications at added costs and when we complained we had weeds they offered to reapply for a fee. This outfit stole over $950 dollars from my family, before we finally told them to take a hike. This year, we have spent nearly $80 on Scotts Lawn Fertilizer with Weed Guard and the lawn is starting to regenerate, plus the weeds are starting to shrivel and die. That pretty much tells the story . . . . . TruGreen must have been spraying WATER.

TruGreen is a nationally recognized lawn service SCAM Artist, out to make a profit by ripping off their consumer victims. TruGreen, you can kiss my back yard.

TruGreen Horrible Company

Heard rumors about their bad reputation, but I needed a job and applied there. Was called in for interview and was blown away by what I saw and heard. The interviewer explained how the techs had to do 25-30 yards per day and in addition had to bring in minimum of 2 new customers sales per week. Their employee board which was visible had an unbelievable amount of cancellations posted per tech. Most of the techs are not very knowledgeable about lawn care and are under tremendous pressure to make quota or work on Saturday which they try to avoid at all costs if possible by short changing the customers on their service. Tru Green tries to prey on what they hope is their customers lack of lawn care knowledge by giving them the run around when they dont perform as expected. Tru Green is strictly driven by money and sales and not service and quality product. And to top things off the techs are terribly under payed for what they are expected to do. Looking from the inside out at this company, all the rumors I heard were confirmed and I got out of there as soon as I could. All of the other big lawn care companys actually get the benefit from Tru Green bad reputation by picking up their cancellations. Thanks Tru Green, the new company I work for the business your shoddy work sends us.

TruGreen lawn care

Came three times after I told them not to. Fried my lawn while I was on vacation. El Paso manager wouldn't solve my complaint. Said I wouldn't be charged for ONE of the applications. That never happened. Requested 3+ times to have a higher up manager call me. THAT never happened. Threatened to have account sent to collection, so I paid anyway. Don't use this company. I will use a local company from now on.

Instead of paying should have called BBB and/or Attorney General's office. DISPUTE BILL--write call local paper and/or TV station(s). If they send to collections make small payments... meanwhile EXPOSE the chemical creeps. Listen to those garden guys on PBS--most (not all) have natural lawn care recipes that are cheap.

TruGreen terrible service/ruined my lawn

Trugreen actually ruined my lawn. We had a healthy lawn with a few small bald spot. They claimed that with their treatments those spots would close up and we would have even richer healthier lawn within 2-4 weeks. At this point our once healthy lawn is now completely destroyed. 40% is completely dead and what is still green is riddled with crabgrass. We've called several times and they are dismissive and have not been here in over 7 weeks. I would highly recomment you stay away from this service, it is a scam and I have the before and after photos that I'm taking to court.

TruGreen harassment

That for 6 years I had to deal with numerous amounts of trugreen chemlawn employee's in my personal Custody & Visitation cases here in Baltimore, Maryland because the mother (Marianne Murray nee Lambert) of my children works for trugreen chemlawn and she has used the company against me nothing other then to harass me, slander me, and embarrass me. She has never used anyone outside of this company what so ever. Their names are Steve Garrett, Marianne Murray, Jonpaul Murray, Mary Stalvey, Renee White, Lisa Netro, Mary walsh, Ernest Anderson, Brenda Bathgate, Carl Athy, Wade Nigrin, Timothy Airey and Tony P and so on.. That I filed a formal complaint back on [protected] which was totally ingorned by Trugreen Chemlawn. That I contacted the branch manger about this problem on [protected] a day before my next Court hearing on [protected] about what his company employee's were doing and I also told him that if this comtinues I would file a 1 million dollar law suit and Mr. Garrett told me to go for it. I was outraged with his responce for being a muti-million dollar company. On [protected] at my custody & visitation hearing their were 7 trugreen employee's at this hearing which was a total outrage that Mr. Garrett would involve his company at my personal Custody & Visitation Hearing. Now I ask trugreen why I and my family should not file a 1 million law suit against you. I am just a daddy trying to see my children but for 6 years I have had to deal with this company of trugreen chemlawn of constantly involving themselfs at my Court Hearings. This is nothing other then abusive behavior by trugreen chemlawn and I have never seen such a thing to take place by a muti-million dollar company of a daddy just trying to see my children. Here is some pictures of my children that I have been fighting to see and this is what I have to deal with from a muti-million dollar company that will not leave me alone.

I swear some people say they graduated from Joppatowe High School and then they turn around and say graduated from Aberdeen High School..So which one is it Jerk? The tolal perfect couple, , , a liar with another liar..At least I know what High School I went to..And if you went to licoln tech, it was most likely at my fathers expense, , , with all that money she stole from him...My father and I will always the real men and the supporters of your so called robbing life...You will never be not even half the man then I ever will be..Another thing how it going living with your mother in-law...HAHAHA

For who ever could you be has to hide again behind a computer, just like everyone else does. Jp will never face me like a man not because of no lawyer, because he has no backbone and he lives with his wifes mommy now becauses he can't support himself or his wife and kid. Sounds like to me someones is very jealous of me of what I got and that is 2 of the most beautiful girls in the world. It also sounds like someone is also a little pissed off that I am now seeing my children like I deserve and someone can't stand that. Oh and please stick your nose in some one else's buisness since you have to keep yourself hidden like a wimp, and you need to get a life and stay out of mine. In the future since you know who I am, face me and we will see if you run your mouth like this when your are standing right in front of me..What a loser you are.

I stated that this would be my last comment, I take that back. To all trugreen chemlawn employee's please feel free to continue to harass me here on this site also. You all have done it for 6 years outside a court room, you all have done it inside a court room and now you all are going to do it here on this complaint site which is why I filed the complaint to the begin with. So please continue to harass me, so I can print it all out and take into a court room and prove that the company of trugreen chemlawn does in fact continue to harass me which only furthers my civil suit and my Custody & Visitation. But if you trash talk about me its only fair that I have the right to defend myself.

Jp, I don't hate you because you married my Ex-Girlfriend. I hate you because you tried to run me over with your car right in front of my house. The only reason why you got off them 6 felony charges is because you used a corrupted lawyer and went in front of a corrupted Judge. You know that Judge Lamdin was thrown off the bench for being a corrupted judge. Other wise you would have been in jail for what you did to me. As for the Lawyer you all continue to use that you will be paying for the rest of your life's, he did not even know he had to give me 30 days notice for all of you to try to testify against me. Now that's a real smart corrupted lawyer you all got their, and you all had to lose a days pay for his knowledge of being stupid. As for you taking care of my children that is your own stupid fault because I don't recall ever asking you to do that. That comes from your wife demanding you to take care of my children. You are obvious just to stupid to see it. This is my last comment and if I see anymore chemlawn employee's repling to this complaint I will have it removed and stay off my Facebook Wall to get this information that you could not get on your own.

Bryan don't waste your time with that that litte boy JP or Trugreen Chemlawn. They all know the real truth about you not what Marianne has placed in their heads. The thing is everyone is afraid to cross Marianne at her job. You know Marianne, she says to them jump, and they all say how high. They all kiss her butt because they are all scared of her. Without her employee's, she is nothing. Remember all the things she said to us about Renee and lisa when she came home from work, that they were all lazy and don't know how to do their job. She uses her empolyee's and her husband to get what she wants and that is all she does is uses people.

Another thing I am not going to be going back and forth with you or the employee's of Chemlawn on this complaint as you all have no clue what you are all getting yourself's into. I advise you to watch your money, your credit cards, and your family's finance's. You need to take your child and run as far away from that girl as far as you can and never look back. I seen you had a fancy car, new truck, and a home, and now it's all gone. She's got you right where she wants you and that is back at her mother's house where she will in due time put you on the streets and you will be the one that wil have to pay child support plus money to her. Stop being blind because you are nothing special to her. I was warned by her ex boyfriend's not to go out with her, but I did not listen and the same thing is going to happen to you. I have no reason to lie to you or anyone esle as I got nothing to lose because she did in fact steal everthing from me and my family. Dude you need to look and learn then run as I see you got nothing either accept alot of debt.

I did have attorney for the custody and visitation but I and my family are in the process of looking for one against this company. We refuse to be bullied by the company she works for any longer. 6 years is 6 years to long. I tried to do this the peaceful way by phone calls and letters, but I can see at my last hearing things are never going to change until I place a very large Civil suit against Trugreen Chemlawn. Is all they had to do was mind their business and worry about their own families and stop worring about mine. I just find it hard to believe that the branch manger would continue to allow all these employee's to continue to take off work to do nothing other then to trash talk about me as a father. These employee's have never lived with me to see how I took care of my children so they need to stop the trash talking about me and I need to put a stop to this abusive behavior for good. This is between my ex-girlfriend and me, not the company she works for period.

It is a public Court in Maryland, but no one outside of this company has ever testified. Her attorney never gave me the 30 days notice for her to bring witnesses which her own attorney violated the law. That for your information this a personal matter not a company matter, at least not yet anyway. I do have many friends and family to testify on my behalf, but what is it that they are really going to testify to as for her side also. They only testify to hear say of what my ex tells them, and was not a witiness to anything other then to make me look like a bad father which I am not.

Isn't the reason tru green employees are going to court against you because you STALKED your ex like a psycho? you freakin nut case. JP doens"t support your children because he has to it's because he loves them and doesn"t want them to suffer or do without because you won't support them. I encourage anyone reading this crap Mr.Difatta is alleging they write the judges of Baltimore county about men on mental disability paying child support and if they are mental disabled and accused of stalking they no longer have contact with thier children talk about unfair justice. This man who does not pay child support also lives with his daddy, thats real manly even daddy commented you two need to get a freakin life . As for JP not facing you he has and he is told by lawyers to not bother with you clearly not worth the energy I supposed Jerry Springer even rejected you. what you are doing is called slander and as far as some being concerned about crossing your family in your own delussional mind. To anyone who reads this complaint, This man has never once paid child support let alone has ever helped support the children. My wife was the sole provider for the children, him, and his father. All the people he has listed have witnessed the abuse and manipulation this man has caused for the past 5 years and beyond. This man hates me and I 'm the one helping support his children. You should be thanking me Bryan, but instead you go from one forum to another looking for people to pity you and feel sorry for you. Better men have went to jail for not supporting their children, instead you sit around and milk a goverment check while a majority of people actually own up to their responsibilties. And one more thing this guy has attempted to file complaints against my wife to her employer for years. why would you do that when she supports the children? you don't even work, how are you going to provide for them? you can't even take care of yourself, you have mental handicap remember ! and the next time your standing across the street don't glare at the kids, your scaring them try waving instead.

TruGreen current employee... run!!!

I am currently an employee and all I can say is run! I work in customer service and when you call you speak to me. I try my best to assist the customers. It's very hard when you're working for a company that's very unethical. No one returns the customers call, we get a lot of unauthorized service complaints and people have their credit card info on file, scheduling issues, techs claiming they treated the lawn when they didn't, customers entire lawns are dead and they have chemical burns. I have to deal with pissed off customers all day and to be honest there's nothing I can really do to assist them because no one at their local branches care about the customers. I am constantly reprimanded for speaking out and voicing my opinions. The reason why the customers can't talk to their local branch is because they don't want to hear the complaints because they know they are watering down their products. I'm tired of customers calling in pissed off at the call center employees, it's not our fault because we're consumers too. It's your local branch who you need to be pissed off at. Do yourself a favor and get some Scott's products from you local home depot and do it yourself and run! The most exciting part about my job is when a customer calls in to cancel. You don't have to believe me...seeing is believing. Why not google it or look at the worst lawn in your neighborhood, you know the lawn that looks abandoned and there you have "Truegreen, where your lawn means more"...lol and run! as far away as you can. When we tell you that are sytems are down they are truly down all the time. The billing, scheduling, websites, products, and service is messed up. So when you call in and ask to speak with a manager and we call the local branch, they tell us at your local branch they aren't available. We actually get in trouble for calling your local branch. We get in trouble for trying to be customer focused and centric. It's not about customer service. That's why they outsourced the work to a call center. We put your information into the system and we can only hope that the people at your local branch will print it out and give it to the right person, but this rarely happens. We deal with trugreen customers all over the US, from Cali to NJ. So the next time you think about yelling at the agent just nicely request to cancel your service please.

I agree with unfortunate situations happening to any customers lawn.
First thing for this customer service rep to do is "run"...NOBODY should be representing a company they have little faith in. The complaint the customer rep has, is a direct refection of lack of knowledge, wrong person for the position...when you take on a job such as this, it's the employees responsibility to educate themselves beyond the average consumer...above and beyond the training you're given by your employer. We all just read the results of a customer service representative that was not prepared...and as we all know 'fail to prepare - prepare to fail'...as this rep. did FAIL the company and the customer. TruGreen is the largest lawn service provider in the nation...using great products. Just as with any large company, complaints will come...I also know that TruGreen will go above and beyond the call of duty...for the price per services and free service visits, they fortunately service such a large part of our country, enabling them to give a customer service unlike any other service provider...especially Scotts Lawn Service. With that said, I hope to have answered the customer that complained...if you follow the TruGreen Instructions provided after every service...I guarantee you will have the best possible lawn you can have with the lawn you have...keep in mind that all lawns are different...let me say that again...ALL lawns are different and need special attention in different areas...if you agree to pay to have the best lawn...YOU WILL have the BEST LAWN. With the service that most people are taking, they are getting results...If not and the service was done incorrectly, then I highly recommend requesting being put on a route with a more qualified technician...TruGreen nor any other Lawn Service provider, wants to see a customer unhappy. Thank you all for reading what I have to say and best wishes for the future success of your lawn results. As far as the complaint goes...Educate yourself so you are better qualified to assist a customer. Always under promise and over deliver...Cancelling services should NEVER be an option...all customers deserve what they pay for. Make it a great year for beautiful lawns across the country, providing a better environment for everyone. A five thousand square foot lawn will provide enough oxygen for a family of four...just like having to one hundred foot trees in the yard. LOVE what YOU have to Do!

TruGreen dead lawn & bad customer service!

TruGreen is a terrible company! They lie and make promises to get your business then treat you like crap. I had specific instructions listed on my account all of which were completely ignored by their service tech. I know they don't want to talk to the customers when they come out to service the lawns but that's too dang bad! I'm paying for a service. The rep was instructed to ring the doorbell before starting the application, he did not! My son happened to see him and in the two or three minutes it took me to slip on clothes he was done and driving down the street before I could get out the front door. I contacted TruGreen and told them. Of course they said they spoke to him and it would not happen again, it did!

They burned the heck out of my lawn and then made all kinds of excuses. They tried to tell me it was worms and they could do another type of application but could not be certain it would work. Why on Earth would they think any homeowner would agreed to this. Tired of the lies and the poor service I canceled and they agreed to reverse my last bill. It's been several months and I call each month when I get the bill and they say, "don't worry it's taken care of you won't get another bill." Well I'm sure you know I do indeed get a bill the next month!

Now they have turned me over to a collection agency! Are you kidding me! I contacted the collection service and they connected me to the Ellenwood office. The woman that answered the phone was contrite and rude, she went so far as to call me, "partner!" Well I then find out that there has been a change in management and because the management that made the agreement wasn't still employed there they would not honor the agreement.

The new manager got on the phone and wanted to come out to evaluate my lawn. FOR WHAT? These incidents happened several months ago what exactly does he expect to find? I know he doesn't think I left my lawn the hot mess they made it.

All I can say is if you want a terrible company, that lies, has terrible customer service and will kill your grass dead, dead, dead then by all means TruGreen is the company for you! Save your money and stay away from TruGreen!

Trugreen chemlawn also does alot of cyber-bullying which means employees of trugreen have here in Baltimore make comments that are the same people that created a new user name like Jonpaul Murray here In Baltimore Md..Look it up its posted all over the internet. I know who sent that threat to me and posed yourself to look like a girl..Your not all that smart when you get caught.. By the way hows your finances going because I see its all bad, very bad?

TruGreen stay away

TruGreen did not make my lawn better at all even though in all their progress reports they marked the box 'improving'. I had an issue with what I thought was crabgrass in a certain area. One technician came out and stated it was quack grass and that nothing could be done about it unless I wanted to kill it all and replant grass. Two days later a different technician came out and wrote on the review that he sprayed the crabgrass in my backyard. So what was it? Crabgrass or Quackgrass? Then it killed everything around it and I was left with patches of yellow dead grass in my backyard. When we complained they said they'd drop off a bag of grass seed so we could replant but that never came. Needless to say I just called and cancelled my service with them and I will never use them again.

TruGreen cancelled service

We had Army worms in our front yard. My husband went out trying to find pesticides but wasn't successful due to the outbreak we had in our county. I called Trugreen, scheduled an treatment appointment which was supposed to happen the following day. I was put in touch with the Marietta office. I asked if we can cancel if we are able to find a pesticide and the guy told me to just give them a call. Not even an hour later I received a confirmation call for Saturday, Aug. 14 between 8 and 1300 I believe it was. My husbands search was successful, our lawn treated the same day we've noticed those worms and the appointment cancelled. Well we had to leave a voice mail, since nobody picked up to physically take the call.
Trugreen didn't show up the following day, so we figured they got the message. 3 days later, I was out and about in the afternoon, getting home late I noticed a sign in our backyard. Our lawn was treated against Army worms that were already gone. I called their customer service, explained, that this must have been a mistake, since we had cancelled the appointment. The kid was trying to tell me, that a left message wasn't a cancellation. I told him, that when prompted to leave a message, there was nothing stated, that in case of a cancellation call 1-800-cancel me, so therefor we figured that we had cancelled the appointment. Besides that they showed up 3 days after the original appointment was supposed be and if we would have waited for Trugreen, we wouldn't have no more grass left to treat. I was told that a manager will call within the next 2 business days.
That never happened! A week later we received a bill. I got on the phone explained the situation and Mr. Customer Service told me that our account will be credited. "Cool, that was easy" I thought. Today we received another invoice and back on the phone I was explaining the whole thing again. This Mr. Customer Service told me, that the last Mr. Customer Service had plugged into the computer for a manager to call, which of course wasn't what he had told me and the manager had never called either.
Now I am waiting again for some manager to call, because the guy I talked to is not authorized to credit accounts. This is getting pretty annoying! I tried the contact us form on trugreen, but of course got a message error two times. I finally found an email address and we'll see what happens next. One thing is for sure! I will not use trugreen again! I rather give a local company my business and pay a few dollars more!

I prepaind TruGrenn service in 2010. I called Trugreen in November 2010 and tell them to cancel my service. They representative said ok and handed the phone off. However, the TruGreen worked appeared at my property in Jan and done some serive again without my permission. The company charged me for $50. I payed this service this time and forget about them. They came to my property again in Feb and done some service while I was not home (w/o my permission). They charged me $130 for unwanted service. I called they service phone number. The service representative told me that there is no a record of my previous cancelation. She also said that she will take care of it this time.
In April they called me again and said that I own them $130 for the service. I told them that I cancel this service back on Nov 2010 and another time in Feb 2011. They also said that there is no any record from previous conversations. I called thier manager, but Teresa (hope the spelling is correct), the Redmon area regional manager, does not want to talk at all. She is alsways busy. The was awesome! This company is making money of fooling their customers!
Finally, they offered to pay 50% of this price as a discount. Paying for what? For unwanted service, 6 months after the service was canceled?
They have voice recording system that track all conversation. When they say they there is no a record - this is pure BS. This is the way they are making money

TruGreen trugreen

TruGreen in Augusta failed to get rid of weeds from my yard and could not get rid of brown spots. I followed their recommendations and watered the yard regularly and never cut the grass more than a third down. It didn't matter. My yard is overrun with weeds and the brown spots continue. TruGreen is not worth the money. You are better off doing it yourself. Do not use TruGreen.

TruGreen hazardous billing practices, poor lawn service

If my lawn was a glowing green jewel of a lawn, I might forgive the multiple billing issues. Alas, it has deteriorated while under TruGreen’s care.

First, TruGreen charged my credit card a $45.00 monthly fee five times in one month. Instead of $45.00 my card was charged $225.00.

Then I opted to pay a year in advance, yet I continued to receive bills. Every time I received a bill, I’d call and explain that I’d paid a year in advance. The TruGreen customer service rep would apologize.

Finally today I asked for a supervisor. I spoke to Jody. She explained that their computer system often double charges accounts, and every day she goes through the charges and organizes the refunds.

So why did I get hit five times? “I was on vacation.” Jody explained. “I called everybody when I got back.”

Oh. That makes it all OK. (not!)

Why wasn’t someone else looking for double charges while Supervisor Jody enjoyed her time away?

And why am I still getting bills and phone calls about being late with a payment when I’ve paid in advance?

“We accidentally refunded your advance payment.” Jody explained.

Yup, that whole year’s worth of lawn care that I thought was paid in full when I paid my June credit card balance is… gone. I have to budget for it all over again.

Yes, as Jody not so helpfully pointed out repeatedly on the phone today, TruGreen *did* give me my money back. But in June my husband and I were preparing to travel in Asia, and with a slew of additional expenses associated with that, the refund went unnoticed.

Apparently TruGreen doesn’t care that their crappy billing practices could put someone over the limit, incurring fees and tying up funds that might be needed for other things. I may have been refunded my money, but it feels like I have to spend it twice.

And no one can give me back the time I have spent on the phone with TruGreen, sifting through old credit card statements trying to sort this mess out.

Stay away from TruGreen unless you like spending your days off on hold while customer service reps prepare to apologize with barely concealed irritation.

I need to start a who hates Tru Green Site... Tru Green Lawn Gestapo calls every day sometimes more than once a day...trying to sell me something else... who wants to call them a harrass back...[protected] then hit 1... Please give them a taste of their own medicine

I have asked them to quit calling...I have spoken to supervisors...still they call...I have asked to be put on the Do Not Call List for the last 2 months...yet they keep calling...

I work at Trugreen and we do call for a variety of reasons. If they are not hounding you for solicitation it is in regards to a past due balance. Even if you are late by 31 days it is a possibility they will call several times in regards to the balance. Best thing to do is set up auto pay or prepay to avoid those calls As far as them not complying with the Do Not Call that is something else. Usually sales people do not have access to make changes to customer accounts So when you tell them to stop calling they say OK but never relay the message to the customer service rep to take care of I would suggest calling into the office yourself ensure you are speaking with a customer service rep and they should fill out the form and add you to do not solicit and do not upsell If this is still an ongoing problem request Corp number and lodge your complaint with them

TruGreen service attitude

I had previously talked to a Cliff at TruGreen Kansas about a crab grass problem that has existed in my yard for several years. He promised me that at the time the crab grass showed signs of turning green to give him a call which I did and he would take care of the problem. I did tell him that the crab grass problem was showing itself again. Later on I was told that the problem area was not crab grass but it was orchard grass. I believed the individual for a while until one of your people and the internet proved that it was crab grass. Cliff never returned my call and today I was called by a James from TruGreen and his considered opinion that I didn't really know what I was talking about and that he believed the people working at TruGreen was correct. He has never seen the problem area and automatically assumed that his people were right and I was wrong. He suggested that I dig up the crab grass and replant which I wouldn't need to if the promise made had been kept. James is not customer oriented he is too combative and I will move my lawn need away from TruGreen. Hopefully you have better representatives.

There are some Trugreen Sales people that do mean well and will tell you correct information. However, most will shove information they know nothing about down your throat. If you get a sales person that is yelling and constantly saying 'OK!?" then hang up and call back. The ones that listen to you and sound like they are human and down to earth are the people you want to speak with. They try and use "push tactics" and try to get the people "who can't say no". I feel bad for my customers when i want to offer them great services, but i never know if i can back them up.

TruGreen destroyed lawn and bad customer service!

Trugreen has constantly destroyed my lawn they use horrible products that are unnatural. If you complain they constantly come up with lies like they will fix the lawn as soon as possible. Trugreen is nothing but a scam! do not trust them they only care about money. They told me they would constantly fix the problem and it was never done and all year my lawn was horrible and the worse in the whole nieghborhood. customers pay a lot of money and do not get anything in return!.

If you are thinking about using Trugreen then dont! and if you have it and have any type of problem just cancel you will be better off!

Once again this company is nothing but a big scam!

I called the company on 6/10 to cancel my account. I opened the account in March for seven lawn care treatments throughout the Summer. The first time that they came out to do the service after my sign up in March was 4/15/10. This was after I had called three times to complain that no one has come to my home to treat my lawn. After my first treatment passed I was told that they would return every 4-5 weeks. This never happened. Someone from Trugreen finally called June 2nd, his name is Kieran K. he apologized and told me that they were behind/backlogged, what I have been hearing since late March. He explained to me that Trugreen would come out to my property free of charge (a service call) and treat my lawn since it had been almost two months since my first treatment. He explained that it would take 24 - 48 hours. He also sold me a grub package which was $100 and he said that they would come out and complete the Grub service 1-2 weeks later. I waited and waited. I waited an entire week. I called Kieran on the 9th of June to yet again complain and he told me that it would take 24 - 48 hours. I told him that it had already been 7 days. He apologized and I told him to cancel my account. He asked if there was anything that he could do to keep me as a customer and I explained that I should not have a dry looking, dead, weed infested lawn with a lawn service so no. On 6/29 TruGreen came to my house and treated my lawn for the service call and the grub treatment which was not supposed to happen since its too many chemicals at one time, and the simple fact that I canceled my account. I called on 7/1 to get a refund for the service and I was told that the service manager Jessica would take care of it and call me. That did not happen. I have yet to hear from a Jessica and every time I call to speak to her she is either busy on the phone or on vacation. I have called twice a week every week since. I do not think Jessica even exists!
It is now 8/10/10 and I have yet to receive my funds back in my account. This company should not have a B rating on the BBB. They should have a F- for their horrible customer service and refund or lack there is practice.

Instead of using tru-green use what I have for 14 yrs to a beautiful lawn from thorny weeds only.

It will green up in less than a year. Now, add 1 cup of: epsom salts, dishwashing fluid, ammonia, listerine, 1 beer, . Put in a miracle grow spreader and turn hose on and spread.

this fall; about oct. or after first frost: same recipe only add 2 tsp of baking powder and steamed tobacco making it into tobacco juice. Kills winter mold.

Also buy a very large amt. of only Kentucky Blue grass and scatter it everywhere. Should be very cheap in cost by then.
Also put a bag of gypsum on your lawn if you have a pet.

spring: same tonic as before at the beginning of this article. Also lay down weed and feed. that is it. You should have a wonderful lawn...guaranteed. questions? email me and I will answer at: kevans8936@aol.com

To anyone who will listen please do not use tru green

I am a person who does not usually do these types of things but I have to tell all of you that tru green does nothing to help your lawn .They never call you back after the first year .It feels like a scam so listen if you want because my lawn is destoyed . The first year they called 1time a month now I've called 5times twice to corporate and they all say somene will call u asap I finally had to cancel my contract . They are the worst company I have ever dealt with

TruGreen billing

Last summer, 2009, I prepaid in full for services from a local lawn care service provider. TRUGREEN bought the company and billed me for services I already prepaid for with the former company. After many, frustrating months, I did get the issue resolved, but I vowed never to use this company, so I cancelled services for the following season 2010. Despite no longer being a customer, someone came out in heavy, pouring rain and windy conditions, and applied chemicals. I was incredulous, given the weather conditions, that some one would come out that day. I have received 4-5 bills for this unwanted application. Even if I were still a customer, I would have demanded they repeat the service free of charge given the weather conditions when the treatment was applied. It is impossible to speak with someone from billing. When you press the appropriate number on the recorded message for billing/service problems and enter a zip code (any zip code) there is a busy signal or it automatically disconnects. The few live people you get on the phone, if you're lucky enough to get an actual person, cannot help, and TRUGREEN continues to bill. I'm just amazed at the lack of communication with this company. Even when I cancelled service well before the season began, an application was applied during horrid weather conditions, and I continue to be billed even after talking to several people at TRUGREEN about it. There is no customer service at this company. No one can help you. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

TruGreen terrible management

My first year with trugreen satisfied due to the good field agent. There are good techs out there, but this is the luck of the draw. However second year has been ridculous! Lucky didn't sign a contract, after no one showed up after being reassured for over 4 weeks by manager area named drew, demanded service in spring and found out from other sources they had no one for my area and so they send out a guy who stops at 7am, waking everyone, since he needn't to do it on the way to his area. Poor guy, why couldn't the manager be honest and say we don't have a tech for you. Alright, still patient, need to seed bad, need new sod planted from last year to get fertilizer, keep calling only to have the most void of personality, manager drew, tell me someone will be out. Ok. Now past the time for the preemergence second treatment due to heat, no - sorry for your inconvenience ever came out of that boys mouth. He needs to go to some "how to deal with people" seminar. I get happier and more affable people at the walmart store than this guy.

Well, still no one, thought I should have to call and track people down every time the grass needs it's treatment, now I have a yard that is two different colors since the timing for the treatments is so off. No one calls you like they promise since I have two dogs I need to worry about, maybe this drew is so tired of hearing complaints he just takes this blanked out attitude. I thought I was patient enough, calling every week, being nice to continue but just canceled yesterday since hubby was right and said if they want your business they should be calling you. Called scotts and they were out in a heartbeat, actually talked to me rather than scribble something on a slip of paper that I never could read. What ever you do don't sign a contract, in the long run, if you get this treatment you want to walk away without losing money since I am sure they would hold up and take their good old time giving me anything back since drew seems to like cricket land. I did want to mention that last year I guess when they had someone fill in near then end since I must have lost my originally tech then, I have security cameras, and watching back the tape see the guy spending more time trying to find a place to pee way in the back yard then he did fertilize. He didn't even get 1/3 of the property just ignoring it and getting back into the truck. Thank goodness he left his coffee cup for me to throw away. Research your area guys before committing, and don't be as patient hoping they would change as I did.
