Trivago t.v. commercial

I am so tired of seeing this freaking same a...hole doing your television commercials. I change the channel when I see this [censor] and other people I have talked to feel the same. I'm sure you can do better than that finding somebody that can represent Trivago. He looks like he doesn't brush his teeth or take a shower. You should spend more time checking out your reviews and track and trying to rectify the bad reviews.

Trivago hotel booking

I booked a room at the Hampton Inn Orlando International airport thru Trivago on 9/23/17 for a 9/27/17 stay. I received a "booking confirmation" from HotelPower.com. I arrived at the Hampton tonight tired and ready for a hotel room. They had no record of me and were totally sold out. I called Hotelpower.com and got a woman with a heavy accent who told me she would call me in 5 minutes with resolution. 25 minutes later I called back and got a man with a heavy accent that I will guess was Indian. He told me it would be an hour before he called me back or I could ask for a refund of my $148.60 they charged me on 9/23. I took the refund as it was getting late. he told me he would need to call me back with the refund confirmation. I immediately called Capital One and filed a dispute claim against them. the man from Hotelpower.com called back about another 30 mins and left a message it would take ten business days to post to my card. I expect this will be something Capital One will need to resolve. This was my first experience with Trivago and my last. I plan to let associates know it is a very bad idea to do business with Trivago.

Trivago amoma reservation [protected]

On the 15.02.17 I booked a sea view balcony room with 2 x double beds on the beach with swimming pool and restaurant/bar at Monterey Tides 3 stars with Amoma for the 12.09.17 and 13.09.17. We were looking forward to some luxury after 3 nights camping in Yosemite. The booking could not be changed or cancelled and I received the confirmation through with hotel voucher on the 15.02.17 for £356.00.

On the 11.09.17 I was in Yosemite and did not have signal on my phone or internet access. We drove 12 hours to get to Monterey Tides via Big Sur that was closed. Exhausted got to the hotel for them to say I had been transferred. I was not happy but had no further funds or immediate refund to book another hotel and was told by the Monterey Tides that it was a lovely hotel.

We arrived at Wave Street Inn to find it was not on the beach, had no balcony, no pool, no beach, no sea views but opposite a building site. It also only had one bed when we had booked and paid more for the deluxe room with 2 x double beds. We had been downgraded from a 3 star to a 2 star. The Wave Street Inn said it was their only room. The building works and drills were so loud I couldn't sleep with the windows closed.

I contacted Monterey Tides sales director Heidi Bettencourt who has sent me an email saying they notified the supplier weeks ago. I have contacted Andrea at Amoma and she is investigating but will take weeks to get back to me.

I am so very unhappy! I did not have the funds or energy to find another hotel at 8pm at night and called Amoma first thing the next morning - 6am because I hadn't slept to ask what I should do and would I be getting refund compensation. I paid £356.00 for the Monterey Tides booked in February the Wave Inn is not worth half that and not where I wanted to be or what I had chosen. I think it is appalling that Amoma can ruin my trip like this - it is the first holiday I had in 4 years.

I want a refund and a full explanation as to why I was not advised of this change when Amoma was so I could have found alternative accommodation - that I would choose for my holiday!

Email from Heidi Bettencourt:

Hi Nikki,

I am sorry to hear that you are not satisfied with Wave Street Inn as it is a freshly renovated hotel in the heart of Cannery Row with many dining options and activities within walking distance. I am also sorry that you were provided Gina's card when you arrived at our hotel. I notified the tour agency several weeks ago that we had a unfortunate situation and had to relocate several guests. It sounds like that was not communicated to you.

I will follow up with Andrea as well.

Sincerely,
Heidi

Trivago booking and changes

I booked a room through Trivago ... well Trivago is not Trivago it's bookings.com., ... only after you book a room are you shown the "terms" which include such things a resort fees etc. Adding these things to the quoted rate makes Trivago prices actually higher than most posted rates by the hotel themselves.. also you can get out (35.)or amend the booking with in 72 hours of the booking. I chose AMEND and the gotcha "not spelled out" is they can accept or denie the refund... well guess what my refund was denied! After the 72 hour cut off = me getting stuck with the bill ... try to find a complaint number ... I had to call up my charge records which to a 3rd site " Charge off" This company is one of several SHELL companies that book rooms for these crooks!

If they decide no refund will be given that's the end of the story YOU ARE OUT the money PERIOD!

I filed a complaint with my charge company!

Swindled out of 150 dollars

DONOT USE TRIVAGO OR ANY OTHER COMPANY THAT MAKES IT APPEAR THEY ATR GIVING YOU A DEAL ... they are not!

Trivago about your ad that plays on ndtv india

Dear sir,
I am from India and I have a humble request, your ad of trivago where a short guy appears is so irritating, he sounds so irritating and it's a torcher for us to watch this ad, I had made a survey about this in my society and close friends and relatives and found that all were having the similar feeling they just swipe the channel when your ad comes, I too do that very often.
The earlier lady in this ad was very good why can't you do this ad with a beautiful lady I stopped using trivago only because of the ad and I am sure many might have been.
I hope he must be paying to perform in this ad.
This is the first time in my life I am complainng about a ad so you can think how much we all are tourchered.
Whether you change or not I thaught I will inform here!

Trivago I have been directed to a not wanted destination

One month ago I have searched a hotel in Kefalonia, Greece via Trivago. In the list of hotels Trivago offered for the requested destination, I found a suitable one, which had address confirmed ( Poros, Kefalonia, Greece ).

I booked this hotel through Booking.com, as Trivago redirected me to.

Yesterday, exactly 3 days prior my journey of 1200km by car, a hotel owner gives me a phone call to agree on time of arrival, and we both realize that the hotel that has been booked is not at Kefalonia at all. It is in fact on the opposite part of Greece, on the island of Poros, 7 hours ( 400km ) away from my wanted destination. I cannot cancel my booking, or I would have to pay full amount ( 1040€ ), so I have to travel now to a NON-WANTED destination, I have additional cost of booking another sleep over room along the route, as my voyage is now 14, 5 hours drive instead of 10. I have to rearrange my travel times, as I have to start the journey one day in advance. What a waste of money and time, thanks to TRIVAGO. This is a very negative first experience with Trivago.

Trivago overcharged. [protected]

my husband and I booked a 2 night stay with our kids in Blackpool. Upon researching the best hotel for the best price. We chose to book with trivago as this was the best deal. ( £86 for a family room for two nights ) we booked using my husband credit card and opted out all the extras such as breakfast. After making the booking I checked my emails to ensure the details were correct of which they were. But to my horror whilst traveling down to blackpool. I search through my emails to find the hotel confirmation, only to discover that I've been charged £134 for this hotel and not the price I paid ! My husband had to phone a premium rate number to contact his credit card company to confirm. Trivago have simply taken more money out of this account than agreed! Sneaky. It turns out that with the price increase this was not the best deal, and I would not have booked at this price.

I am seeking a refund for the price difference.

Trivago hotel booking

My husband and I booked a two night stay through Trivago for a hotel in Clare Michigan. We had complete confirmation number and we had given our American Express number to hold the room. When we arrived at the Days Inn in Clare Michigan there was no record of our reservation... We gave the confirmation number and had the consultant at the hotel look at my phone which had four confirmations from Days Inn/Trivago. They were able to find us a room but we were very fortunate because the hotel was having a conference. I will never use Trivago again .

Trivago amoma travel site is a scam

I connected to the Trivago site looking for a good deal on a hotel room in Isla Mujeres (Mexico) for a week. I used the Trivago site for the first and last time. Why does Trivago allow scams like Amoma and BookIt to run as a honest business. I will spread, electronically, the word that Trivago is a scam and everybody is to avoid it. You won't be in business long Trivago ... adios.

Trivago hotel vacation package

I booked a hotel package through trivago that boasted resort proces at corporate rates. I talked to Mark Kelly aboit the deal. It was offered at the price of $129 per person. When I talked to Mark he said since it was my first time with trivago he'd add in an ocean front room. After talkng with him, he mentioned not wanting customers to pay more than $99 in gratuity.. Then added in am extra fee which I was informed were taxes booking fees and basically what I thought were all the additional fees bringing me to $385. On the recorded conversation confirming my payment I was told that there would be a 90 min. Presentation from the resort and fees and gratuity not exceeding 99 per person. I asked about calling back because i didnt think my partner would do the 90 min Presentation. I was told on recording that there were resorts who didnt do that and i could ask for it when i called the fulfillment center. Then, as recorded i was told i needed to give 30 to 45 days to book and i said I couldnt because i needed to travel sooner. Again on recording I was told that they could make that happen. That was all false information. I called to set up the trip and they wouldnt wven talk to me for 14 days. Then they said I couldnt book for 30 days.. I finally talked to someone to set something up and i was told I couldnt have ocean front. So already i was lied to about a few things. I then booked for a resort. I asked about adding a day at an additional cost. I was told that they would check but that my travel dates of Aug. 2 to 6th were set. I was waiting for an email confirmation. It never came. When I called back I was told my booking confirmation wasnt found and they asked if I paid my additional fees. Again This I guess was my mistake but I thought the additional fees added on in the first place was what they were talking about. I called back again to ask questions on the account. I wanted to ask what those fees were then that were added and make sure I still had my trip booked. During all the time before this talking to customer service i was transfered around, lied to, hung up on.. And after talking to a manager this last time I was yelled at amd insulted. I asked if my trip was booked amd where I would pay the additional fees. The manager said that i dont have a trip booked that the people are all trained to direct us to the fees when booking the resort. She then said it doesnt take a rocket scientist to know wait for a confirmation.. I was screamed at, insulted... I was willing to pay the extra fees, I just wanted to know where they were all coming from. I was informed that one of the persons I have talked to when booking, kimberly l, is no longer with the company. Maybe it is because she didnt do her job correctly and finish booking. I am not getting what i expected and now no longer have thw trip that i had planned... Even with all that the biggest issue is the way I was insulted and screamed at. I cant believe someone like that would be a manager in customer service. I was nice until i was screamed at and then all I said was i dont like the way you are talking to me. Its an abomination working with a company who treats customers. I now have paid for a trip I cant even take.

Trivago cancelled hotel reservation

My husband and I used Trivago to find a hotel at Daytona beach. Trivago directed us to a company called Elvoline to complete our reservation. When my husband and I arrived at the hotel with our two children, the manager told me that I did not have a hotel reservation. Upon further investigation, he said that my reservation had been cancelled by Elvoline. He then proceeded to tell me that there were not any rooms available and I would need to contact Elvoline to resolve the matter because there was nothing he could do. My husband works Monday through Friday and rarely gets time off of work so we only booked to stay Saturday night and our plan was to arrive somewhat early on Saturday so that we could make the most out of our short vacation. We woke up early on Saturday morning and drove nearly three hours to enjoy our stay at the beach. When the manager told me that they could not do anything because they were booked up, my children and I stood there in shock and in tears. Our reservation was for July 15th and I booked the room on July 12th. When I booked the room Daytona was nearly sold out of hotel rooms so I knew that attempting to find another hotel last minute was going to be nearly impossible. I tried calling the customer service number for Elvoline and I got a recording that said all of their service reps were busy and to please hold the line then I would hear three beeps and the phone would hang up. I called over and over again and continued to hear the same recording and be hung up on. Then I used my cell phone to sign in to Elvoline's website and clicked on the tab that said "My Bookings", and there I could view my reservation for The Plaza Resort & Spa and in big green letters it said "confirmed." I asked for the manager and showed him this website, I showed him my printed copy of the reservation, I even showed him the completed transaction of the funds that were deducted from my account for my hotel stay. Despite all of my proof that I had a reservation, he insisted that there was nothing he could do and that Elvoline should be able to find me another room at another hotel. I was in tears with the frustration of all that was happening and I explained to him that I couldn't even get someone from the company on the phone. He verified that I was calling the correct number and attempted to call, only to discover that he was being hung up on as well. He then gave me a number to a company called Hotel Beds which he said was a larger company that basically owns or manages Elvoline. I did not have any better luck getting through to that company either as I was placed on hold for so long that I finally decided to hang up because I knew that I was wasting time when I should've been searching for a hotel to stay at. Feeling defeated, I asked the manager to call me if they happened to get a cancellation and I left the hotel crying. My husband and I got in the vehicle and drove in circles confused as to where we were supposed to go or what to do. He continued to try to call the customer service number to Elvoline while I used my phone to search for a hotel room. After multiple attempts of calling Elvoline he was able to get through to a live person. We spoke to a gentleman named Evan and told him what was happening. I told him the manager of The Plaza Resort and Spa said Elvoline cancelled my reservation and Evan said that wasn't possible and Elvoline does not cancel reservations without permission from the consumer. I asked him to tell the manager that information and he said he would need to contact the company Hotel Beds so they could contact the hotel. My husband and I went back to the hotel and told them manager what Evan from Elvoline said and the manager told me that he was just about to call me because they just had someone cancel, but unlike our original reservation for a sea view room, the room that became available was city view. My husband and I were afraid we weren't going to be able to find any hotel rooms so we told the manager that we would take that room. Then he proceeded to tell me that the prices have gone up quite a bit since the date that I originally booked my hotel. I exclaimed that it wouldn't be fair to charge me more for this room and that I shouldn't have to pay at all, considering the funds for the original room had already come out of my account. In actuality I should've received some type of refund because a city view room is cheaper than an ocean view. I told the manager that he needed to call the Hotel Beds company because I wasn't about to pay for another room when they have already deducted money from my account for the first room that mysteriously got cancelled. The manager called Hotel Beds and apparently had to speak with someone who is a "higher up" to get it approved for us to stay in the city view room for the price we originally paid for a sea view. After all of this was said and done and we received our room keys we had wasted over 2 hours of our short vacation dealing with nonsense in a hotel lobby when we should've been making sand castles and laying in the sun. To top it all off, when we were finally walking out of the lobby I received a phone call from Evan with Elvoline that he had gotten everything resolved with our reservation and that our reservation had never been cancelled. I told Evan that was a lie and the only reason we even got a room was because someone else had cancelled and it wasn't the room we originally paid for. To make matters worse, there was a truck competition in Daytona that weekend and having a city view room made it very difficult to sleep with all of the loud exhausts of the tons of decked out trucks. This whole mishap took time away from us on our short vacation. It was extremely frustrating for my family and I believe that we should be reimbursed for our stay or offered a free stay. As a consumer this type of treatment is unacceptable. Trivago should reconsider the type of companies that it recommends to its consumers.

Trivago different hotel booked

Booked Hotel Miramar in Essaouira Morocco
Myself, husband and 1 year old baby
From 27th June to 1st July (4 nights)
Booking.com had the best deal at £32 per night.
Confirmation number: [protected].
Pin: 2513.

On the day of arrival, our Transfer company phoned the hotel to confirm our booking, the hotel said there was no booking in our name.

I therefore called booking.com. I was placed on hold whilst they confirmed the booking with hotel. I was informed booking was confirmed.

When we arrived at the hotel (at 3am due to late flight), we were informed there was no booking for us, that they were fully booked, that we were not their customers and therefore not their problem. After pleading with them and explaining we had a baby with us, they allowed us to stay in one of their rooms.

The next day, after further arguments with the hotel, it transpired that we had been booked at the wrong hotel - Hotel Miramar in Tangier. I had to phone Booking.com to cancel the hotel in Tangier, call lasted about 20 minutes and was charged £34.50. The hotel managed to provide us a room but at a higher rate of £59.21 per night.

I have checked and there is an error on your system. When you click onto the booking.com deal, it correctly takes you to Hotel Miramar in Essaouira. However at the booking stage, it goes to and books Hotel Miramar in Tangier.

This caused unnecessary disruption to our holiday. We had to change rooms twice in our 4 night stay as they were fully booked. This was incredibly difficult with a baby and very unsettling for baby and us. We also had to pay almost double for our hotel and £34.50 in phone charges. It ruined our holiday.

I would like a full refund and a reimbursement for the phone charges.

Trivago prices and customer service

Hi,

I'm Christy. I would like to complain my booking is not the best price compare to other app. Trivago is an app that suppose to provide the best price to the user. If you didn't provide, why do I still need to use this app!

On 2nd July, I booked Macau Sheraton Hotel through Trivago. When I searched the Macau hotel for 21st July to 23nd July. Trivago automatically link to booking.com showing the "best price" of $2576 (excluding 5% tax and 10% service charge) for two nights. I booked the "best price" hotel room. However, after I confirmed all the payment, I checked again immediately through Trivago. And the app showed Wing on travel price $2588 (including all tax and service charge) for same room type for two nights.

I'm super disappointed that Trivago not showing the best price. I sent a complain email to Trivago on 2nd July, however I didn't hear any reply from them until now. How come you can ignore a customer's complain letter?

I'm writing to complain and hope to get the money diff back. The attachments are the evidences to show the error of this app. Please don't ignore my email anymore. Thanks!

Br,
Christy

Trivago hotel - paid twice for same room, same date

On May 27, 2017 I booked a room at the Budget Inn of Williamsport PA through Trivago and Expedia for one night, May 28th. The reservation was confirmed as Itinerary # [protected].

A charge of $71.36 appeared on my credit card statement. When I attempted to check in on May 28th the hotel said they couldn't find my reservation or proof that I had already paid for the room. So they charged my card $76.29 for the same room, same night for which I had already paid.

I spoke with Expedia customer service and exchanged emails beginning on May 30, 2017. As of ten days later the duplicate charge has still not been corrected.

Trivago erroneous hotel listing / poor customer service

Event occurred May 26, 2017

I live in Pittsburgh and was driving to Boston on May 27
I decided to stay half way in Fishkill New York.
I went on Trivago Website for Fishkill and found a real "deal: for Springhill Suites - "Uptown"
I booked through Trivago which came through Hotels.com - confirmation returned that i was booked for the night in Sprinhill Suites, Uptown in CHARLOTTE NC.
I immediately call and finally reached that property to cancel - they refused as it was a sameday booking (9 AM).
I called Hotels.com who said they could do nothing about it.
I have written/tried to contact Trivago at least 3 times - no response.
This was a mis-listed property - and the fault of Trivago
Naturally I would like a refund.
