Triple AAA Roadside Assistance review: Incompetence 14

I called Triple AAA Roadside Assistance

today at 7:19 AM and the agent took all

my information and told me that someone

would be out in 45 minutes. I waited

45 minutes and then called back and was

told that my first call had no information on it so it was cancelled.

I was irate. The agent that took my

call apparently did not write down any

thing she asked me. I was livid that

I waited all that time and she did not

do her job.

On 12/19/16, my car broke down at approximately 3:10 PM in Saugus, MA. I got hold of someone in about 15 minutes from ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. The person on the phone told me that someone will arrive before 4:40 PM. At 4:40 PM no one showed and iI never received a call that they were running late. I received a call at about 5:10 PM and they told me the driver is running late and they will not be there until about 6:00 PM. In the end the driver showed up at 6:10 pm. This was a 3 hr wait in a cold car. I was not HAPPY with this service. I have been a member for over 27 years but I am discusted.

What do you thing AAA owes me for this complete disaster?

06/19/2016 - Called AAA since my truck broke down, it was 110 degrees outside on the highway, AAA could not get a tow truck to tow my truck, we were stuck on the side of the highway for 8 1/2 hours, AAA never called us, I was calling them and come to find out, they cancelled my service call 3 times, bottom line AAA never showed up!

Went to their office to file a complaint, and was told they couldn't do anything and if I wanted to I could their executive office and do that there, which I did and received the same response, they can't do anything there, and if I wanted to file a complaint to call the roadside assistance people and tell them I want to file a complaint!

AAA is a freaking joke, piece of ### company, will be going to another company!

On December 28 2015 at 5:18 pm I called AAA for Roadside assistance and said about 75 min so I'm like OK.So at 6:28 I called back to see how long it was going to be. She tells me that she didn't know I told her that it had gotten dark and I had people coming up to my vehicle it when safe, so I was like I might need to call another tow truck and I hung up.. Now when I called I told her I believe it was the battery but I wasn't sure, so she tells me that they would send someone out and check the battery, and the starter and the alternator, to see what it is. So if you is going to check all that and if its not the battery why would you send a battery truck not a tow truck. So the guy name Tyler came him and my man pulled up at the same time and the guy checked it he said it was alternator, so I'm really piss now because I have to wait again. He tells me it will be 45 mins so when I called back they tell me that the guy name Tyler said he told me it would be another 2 hours I said that's a lie. So I'm really mad, she told me she will do her best to get someone out to me. So at 7:48 someone called me and said he would be there in ten minutes. He came I didn't finish with AAA until after 8. I think that is a bunch of bull to have to wait that long. But I was given the opportunity to leave my vehicle and they will call me when they pick it up, hell no I wasn't going for that. Some one could've broke in my car . I pay for this service and this is how they do. Then the first trick I talk to had a smart as mouth. So I really considering not renewing next year.

I have never had such bad service as I had tonight with AAA. After waiting 1 hour and a half for a truck that never showed I got a ride home . the tow company said that triple A had ordered a flat bed truck or that I asked for one, and that they were still trying to locate one. after 1 hour and a half, so I said it's a regular truck and I did not need a flat bed to just send a regular tow truck . so she said that she did not know how long it would take her to find a tow driver. I said for get it I called a friend and got a ride home and will deal with the truck later. After waiting almost 2 hours I was not waiting any longer. Very disappointed

I live in Malone, NY. We are a small town in the northern part of Franklin County. My family has been a longtime customer of AAA since the 90's. All but twice has the AAA service been unsatisfactory. I moved to Malone in 2007. I've called them approximately 5 times. They always send Smith Towing to help me out. I usually get good service from the drivers of Smith Towing. However, the incident in which i am about to tell you is the first time I actually had them tow my vehicle to their shop.
I called the 24 hour service of Scott Smith Towing because I knew their service was related to AAA, with whom I was familiar. Little did I know what I was asking for, AAA Service Scott Smith Towing charged me $350 to go from Finny Blvd. to his garage, approximately 1 mile.
Being that it was 10:30 at night at the time of the tow, the next morning I called to speak of the reason for the tow. I was cut off verbally early in the first sentences of the conversation by Jessica who answered the phone and is an employee at Smith's. she continued to tell me to pay $350 for today and $50 extra per day plus tax. I asked for an explanation yet I remained confused and asked to speak to a supervisor. In shock of the charges I told Nicole (secretary/owners girlfriend) I requested them to tow my truck and to fix it and they are charging me that much. Eventually after discussion and compromise, they lowered it to $250.
When i learned of the outrageous expense yesterday I immediately started taking our furniture and things we didn't need, to put in a lawn sale. Anything me and the kids thought would sell we placed on the front lawn. Amazingly we ended up getting $258 exactly! That was what I went to Smiths with.
Today, Being that it was close to closing, I called ahead of time to be sure that I would be serviced. Jessica told me yes. Nicole called me back a few minutes later to confirm my arrival. All was set. I got a ride to their shop. when I got there I took out money and I told Nicole I just wanted to pick up my truck and take it someplace else because they charge too much. She left the office and came back in with Scott, he was outraged and began to yell and verbally assault and stare down my daughter who was just with me in the office. I intervened and asked that he address me being that I was the customer and it is my vehicle. He wanted to know who was driving the vehicle at the time of the call. I said, "It doesn't matter because I just want to pick it up." H said he didn't appreciate a big issue when it comes to paying the charges for the tow! I told him that I was there to pay the charges but I wanted to drive it out of there today. He yelled "Excuse me? Excuse me? Get off my property!" I told him then that I would pay the charges and instead he could work on my vehicle. He then said, "I'm not working on your piece of ### truck, no way am I going to touch it." He said, "I have you on camera, everything is being recorded." I told him, "Good I am not afraid of being recorded, I am doing nothing wrong." Then he pointed toward the road and said, "If you don't leave right now I will have you arrested for trespassing!"
I knew it would be difficult to come up with more money tomorrow and so I told him I had the money to pick up my truck and he wanted proof it was mine. Thinking things were diffusing, I put the papers on the his desk in front of him but he did not accept them. He said "Hand me the papers and held out his hand." I simply told him that I didn't touch men." He said "You don't have to touch me just put the papers in my hand." He raised his hand higher and I pushed the papers toward him on his desk, he told me to get off his property. I looked at Nicole and she was sitting in the corner chair with her head down, I couldn't see her face. I called police to see if they could help keep the peace in the situation and that I felt threatened and the officer told me they can't do anything because its a civil matter.
Sorry but I am not going to bow down to him or be intimidated by any abuser, let alone sit back and watch them do it to my daughter! I have come too far in life and been through too much abuse to stand where I am today and be forced to deal with some man who thinks he is better than woman! Or deal with some woman who instigates him to. So now I have to go there tomorrow and pay $350 plus an extra $50 storage cost plus tax because he wouldn't allow me to pick it up today.
I can't believe AAA holds him responsible for all their calls! If AAA uses him to take care of all their business I am no longer going to call them when I need service in this area.
This is ridiculous!

I had a flat tire on a utility trailer (tandem axle) on Feb 1, 2013. I called AAA and was told that only recreational trailers were covered.
I stated I was hauling a 4 wheeler and was returning from a deer hunt. Sounds to me like a recreational trailer. She then checked with the supervisor and stated the service was limited to boat trailers only. You make the call. I do not think it was the correct call on AAA's part. Very disappointed in this service.

On Saturday night I had my family (my daughter, 2 granddaughters ages 10yr and one 11months, my grandson 4 yr)in the car with me, when the Slip, VDC, service engine soon lights came on, I phoned AAA and was asked me if I was in a safe place I stated yes the representative took my information and told me to hold on when he returned he stated they were sorry and could try to get me a cab because I'm the only one covered and not my family, god is good I waited and I was able to drive my car home.
BEWARE AAA DOES NOT PROVIDE YOU THE SERVICES YOU THINK YOU ARE COVERED FOR! Needless to say I will not be renewing my coverage that is the second time AAA had failed me :-(

AAA roadside is handy if the tow truck company doesn't damage your car in the process. I had a tow guy strap or hook something on my rear control arms and bend them. They are aluminum pieces that should not have been used to pull the car up or strap down. This ignorant tow truck driver who i shouldn't have tipped was young and probably didnt know what he was doing. Looked like he was fresh on the job now that i think about it cause even his outfit was clean and crisp unlike most veteran tow truck drivers. Well i had to tow the car to my alignment shop at night and the very next morning when they got it on the aligment rack they noticed that the rear control arms were completly bent and had marks on them. We did see him hook something around them but im no expert in towing. I didn't know what he was doing was wrong. We called AAA to file a complaint. They said they would resolve it. They sent the tow company out to check the car. They verified the damage and said they would compensate us. We moved ahead and had our shop order the parts and all and never heard back from the tow company or AAA for a couple of weeks. The tow company told us that AAA told them to hold on the claim. We called AAA and they told us they will not issue a claim to the tow company. This is after the parts were ordered and the shop is now asking me for repair estimates since they wont provide the money to get the parts replaced. I understand that AAA is a customer to the tow company but they should not take advantage of the customers by playing games with them. They told us they made a surprise visit to the tow company and found no such hooks or tools that could have bend the rods. WTF does that have to do with anything? who told them to go to the tow company? why not check the actual tow truck? I KNOW THEY HAVE HOOKS that they used on our car to pull it up. Almost every tow truck has them! They are playing stupid and giving me an excuse like im some dumb kid. Im taking them or the tow company to court. I will NOT let them treat me this way and expect to pay for something they did.

The cost of locksmith is crazy. I call one out to my home to replace a loose lock on my door. I quote $55 over the phone but when they arrived the cost became $85. I know they have over a barrel esp; when we have some where to go and little time. Are there any honest Locksmith left in America.

Locksmith4hire, From your post it appears you barely know the English language. It sounds like you were ripping someone off. $75 for a lockout, give me a break! Good luck, and maybe you should try the honesty thing and quite ripping people off.

I AM A LOCAL LOCKSMITH IN CLEVELAND. I HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR 10 YEARS. SUNDAY MORNING, I RECEIVED A CALL TO OPEN A CAR THAT SOMEONE WAS LOCKED OUT OF. AS I AM BEGINNING TO OPEN THE CAR, A TRIPLE A ROADTECH, PULLS UP BEHIND US AND YELLS OUT IF WE WERE OK. I RESPONDED WITH A SMILE AND YES I GOT THIS THANS. THEN HE YELLS OUT TO MY CUSTOMER HEY MAN ILL OPEN UP YOUR CAR FOR TWENTY DOLLARS.. I LOOKED AT HIM AND SAID YOU WOULD DO WHAT. HE SAID HEY I HAVE TO MAKE A LIVING TO. MY CUSTOMER THAN TOLD ME TO STOP SINCE THE AAA GUY HAD A BETTER PRICE. THEN THE AAA TECH, PULLED OVER GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE, SMILING AND GRINNING. I ASKED HIM IF THIS IS HOW AAA OPERATED AND CONDUCTED BUSINESS? AND IF THEY EVEN KNEW HE WAS DOING THIS SCHADY BUSINESS, AND PRETTY MUCH TAKING MY LIVING AWAY FOR ME? HE SAID HE WAS A PRIVATE CONTRACTOR AND THAT HE DIDNT GIVE A ###. ALTHOUGH HE WAS IN A TRIPLE A OFFICIAL PICK UP CAR. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH AAA, THEY HIRE LOW LIFE ###, WHO TAKE AWAY BUSINESS FOR LOCAL HONEST LOCKSMITHS.
