Trinidad/ Hilton Conference Centre / Horrible furniture, Horrible treatment of my friends
I must say. I am so embarrassed for Port of Spain/Trinidad. I travel to Trinidad often. And this was my first stay at a hotel. So staying at the most historical place was very exciting " at first". Atleast until I began to notice the poor, shabby pieces of furniture placed throughout the establishment for us to sit on. The pool hours being closed at the times we wanted to lay by or take a dip. Not too mention the way my friends where treated. This being there first experience with service in Trinidad. Needless to say it did not go over well at all. And then we had a theft in our room. And for almost 4 days we where treated as if we where the culprits. Housekeeping being on our floor at 10:00-10:30 a.m. but for some reason back in our room at 7:15 p.m. at night. No concrete explanation ever given as to why. Money missing and then a horrible last 4 days experience for us all. I am so sad for all involved. And so embarrassed. This was supposed to be a 5 star hotel. Service was to be immaculate. And it was not by a long shot. I counted atleast 4 chairs in the lobby of the hotel that had holes that holes in them that could been seen from across the room. At best this should be a 3 star hotel. I do not blame the employees. I hold those in leadership as Director of Operations accountable. The people are being treated badly and they still go out of there way to give Great service. Amazing. Please do something about this.
