There is a scam going on right now that promises one of five possible prizes, but the only prize that they give away is the "expense paid scam vacation for two getaway" that we have to front our credit card and pay them money in order to use the voucher. The other four "gifts" are supposed to be a TV, a DVD player, a microwave, and a laptop. The company who represent a product called "Tri-Star" send out a phony scratch off card that reveals a slot machine game and if you match three across of "7"'s, "cherries", "bar's" etc. they tell you that the representative will come out and tell you what your prize is AFTER you listen to a short explanation of what tri-star really is. They do not let you know what the prize is, nor what the product is about, but they assure you that the rep. will have whatever prize it is that you won with him and give it to you on the spot AFTER you listen to his "pitch" and answer a short questionnaire.

HERE IS THE SCAM - THE OTHER PRIZES (MICROWAVE, LAPTOP, TV ,DVD PLAYER) DO NOT EXIST! THEY WERE NOT IN THE BACK OF HIS TRUCK! HE ASSURED ME THAT THEY WERE ALL THERE. -I ASKED FIRST THING WHEN HE PULLED UP! The partially covered box "IN THE BACK OF HIS PICK UP TRUCK WITH A SHELL ON IT," must have shifted during his drive to my house and I was RIGHT THERE when he pulled up, and I looked in the back right away and saw that the blanket had partially slid off the bottom of the old cardboard box that was on its side, and the large slit on the bottom of the box showed through to the other end and was empty!

I CONTINUED TO LOOK IN THE BACK OF THE REP'S TRUCK as he reached for his sales arsenal, AND HE QUICKLY COVERED UP the rest of the EMPTY BOX WITH the BLANKET as he desperately tried to divert my gaze away from what he knew I was looking at. The FACT IS, The only "prize" is a worthless "getaway for two" and they are lying and scamming people who are hoping for gifts that they fraudulently state they have, and are giving away. The sales pitch is long and aggressive too, and they scatter dirt and sand all over your house and try to force you to buy their friggon 1960's leftover vacuum cleaners that look like the old Montgomery wards canister vacs painted silver. When all was said and done, I followed him out to his truck and I, AGAIN, asked to see one of the "Other" gifts that he ASSURED ME were ALL in the back of his old beat up pick up truck, and he got very nervous and he mumbled unrecognizable gibberish for an excuse and said he had to go. This scam artist walked my house like he was casing the place and sounded like an infomercial host reject, the whole time he sucked away hours of our life.

THIS IS A SCAM AND MAYBE A THEFT RING/HOME INVASION OPERATION, WHOS TO SAY FOR SURE!
WE ARE VERY NERVOUS AND FEARFUL FOR OUR SAFETY. They say they are located off west san carlos street in san jose and have been around for many years, YET NO-ONE I TALKED TO IN THAT AREA HAVE EVER HEARD OF THEM?

PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS, I AM AFRAID NOW FOR MY NEW BORN BABY AND WIFE, AND HER AUNT WHO SOMETIMES STAY HOME WITH THE BABY WHILE I / WE ARE AWAY.

PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS LIGHTLY, THIS "so-called" company representing the product "tri-star" is deliberately lying, and committing fraud knowingly making false statements and promises among other things.

I still have the scratch card that he insisted on getting back, but I told him I lost it.

Someone please help us,
WE NEED 7 on OUR side!

Folks! Tri-Star is the best vacuum cleaner out there! Ya, a young salesman gave me the pitch and the high price etc! But I got on-line after he left and found a Tri-Star on E-bay and bought it for $500.00 used. My wife loves it and we found another at a garage sale newer than ours for $35.00 cash including the smaller $199.00 head for doing stairs etc! So, see the demo and send him hiking. Go to craigslist or e-bay and get a used one for much less. Found 2 on craiglist today for $399.00 used and great shape. FYI

I received a letter from Tri-Star inc with a check in closed in it. The check was written for the amount of 4250.00. So I read the letter stating that I needed to call a number to active the check. This seem really funny to me. So, I Had my sister look at it since she is a banker. One look and told me that it was a scam.

I received this letter today also, and I knew it was a scam from the beginning. Came here and discovered others also received. I wish people like this would get locked up and the key thrown away. I feel sorry for people who believe this junk.
