Tri Clear / Unauthorized charge to card & damaged product

1 United States Review updated:

I ordered Triclear with the understanding I would pay $6.95 shipping for a free trial. I discovered a charge to my credit card in the amount of $69.95 instead. I received the product in damaged condition, leaking all over the inside of box. We were afraid to use Triclear, unsure of what had happened. I was shocked to see no return address information, nothing about customer service or where to send my return.

I later contacted Triclear's customer service and informed them of the problem. They offered to ship a new product for free and canceled my account, then instructed me to contact them in the event I wanted more... We'll see.

Thank you to all that have commented about the scam. I am always skeptical of online products and always google for "xyz reviews" first.

DNS lookup of it is registered to a:

    Dan Ellis
    Dan Ellis
    PO Box 1699
    Suisun, CA 94585

If you then go further and do a look up of

Dan Ellis is also the "VP Corporate Strategy, Co-Founder"

TriClear trademark is also registered at the US patent office under:

Syndero LLC CORPORATION DELAWARE 128 King Street, 4th Floor San Francisco CALIFORNIA 94107

Syndero LLC registered in California as of 08/18/2008 is canceled but still assigned to a:

    (this is probably an office)

Brad Klaus is described as the CEO and Founder according to the in the "About Us" section of the website.

If anyone is really looking into a class action suit... here is where the trail begins. You probably don't need a very expensive lawyer either. With all the people here and your financial statements the evidence will speak for itself in court, though I recommend having some kind of lawyer. The cost to file a BBB complaint is worthless compared to really making a case if you are so angry. Unfortunately you can't directly sue Brad Klaus because its a LLC. I'm also not sure how it's working now considering the cancellation of the LLC; this is when you do need a lawyer.

So to conclude.. TriClear is a subsidy of Syndero LLC under the ownership of a Brad Klaus in San Francisco, California.

I returned the product within the time frame and should have not been charged. I was charged because they claim that it was never recieved. I will contact the better business and attorney general of CA. I don't want to spend excess of $100 for something that does not work.

Sure wish i would've Googled earlier. The same thing happened to me about saying i was ordering a trial for $6.95 and then was charged $69.95 to my creadit card. Again they said it was because nothing was returned within an allotted time. I called the number on my bank statement and they did send an address to return it to but unfortunately i will only receive a partial refund. I'd thought about keeping it and trying it out but after reading these reviews and comments i will definitely return it. Please pass it on to others not to get caught up in this shameless scam.

I purchased the triclear knowing gthat I would need to cancel immediately or be charged so I called the number above and was connected quickly to a polite woman she said that I could cancel and they would email me a shipping label and needed to mail back within 30 days. OR I could chose to purchase it one time for a fee of 29.99, and later if I decided that I wanted to get it again I would only be charged the 30 bucks again... Hopefully they dont try to charge me again! But Luckily I used a prepaid credit card so they wont get anymore from me=)

I have to admit I strongly disagree with everyone's complaints. I ordered the free trial and then read this page. I was kind of scared at first. I read the email Triclear sent and it DOES say that items may be subject to a re-stocking fee. However, this is only if you do not call in the time period to cancel the payment, which it also explains in the email. It says very clearly that you must call before your trial is over to not be charged. You also cannot blame them for the treatment not working for you. Different treatments work for different people. I ave had cleaner, healthier skin in less that a few days of using triclear. If you would have read the email they sent you, these problems would not have occured.

    Satisfied Triclear User

all you people really want to sit hear and complain about these websites advertising falsley and how they're ripping people off and don't want to take responsability for your own actions. We are all adults and should have enough common sense to know that if anyone is asking for your credit card number then (RED FLAG) of course you need to try and find and read and fine print before giving something so personal out to anyone especially online. I mean you might aswell give a stranger your social security number in that case, and people wonder how there idenity get stolen. Don't be so gullable just because you see something that says free and besides it does not say get your free sample or that they're going to give you the product for free it simply states FREE TRIAL so for people that don't comprehend that it means it's a trial how in the hell would they make any money just giving out there products to everyone and there momma for free. Then everybody wants to down talk the product just because they were charged for it. If you can't afford to pay for something then don't give out your credit card number, If anyone ever calls me telling me I won something for free but then turns around and asks me for my credit card number or bank account number you better believe im gonna be askin what for. So the moral of this story is it's all common sense...just use your brain on point about what your getting in to.

I ordered the free trial of triclear and have been using it for 2 weeks. I seen that it was going to come out of my debit account for a total of $69.95 a month and called and cancelled. I was told that I could cancel but that I would be charged $29.95 for the product they sent me. So really there is no free trial. Not to mention I think my face has gotten way worse in the 2 weeks i've been using it. Had mild acne to begin with and now I have these huge red knots all over my chin and cheek.. Definetely would not recommend this to any of my friends, not even to my enemies!! lol

I've read some of the comments being posted on here. Although i am only a teenager, I would like to say a few things. My step-father had ordered it for a free trial, and we just kept recieving them in the mail every month. He then noticed it too was getting charged on his credit card as well. For me the product works great, but only if I use all the steps. Just after one use my skin feels softer, and just better in general. I have found that if you use the first step while in the shower, you will see no results. I think there is a product that works for everyone, and this one is mine, and i'm upset that they no longer sell it, but it was a little high priced.
