I received an email regarding a job offer from Trend House Company. Given the fact I'm a researcher and have never heard of this company, I looked them up on google.com and it is an outright scam! This said source even posted the origin of the IP address and it is apparently coming from a telecommunications company in Austria.

The persons name was Judith Stein, the phone number was [protected]. The company sent me an e mail regarding a Supply Chain managers job position, I checked the organization on the internet before I planned to apply, I found that this is a fraudulent company based from Austria. Others have got the same e mail, the company is fraudulently taking money and asking people to write checks fro large sums. If you can let others know and catch these types of people praying on the unemployed vulnerable.

I received the same emails. It just did not look right when I received it. I looked it up and my guess was right. Here is the email address sent this to me : MallobyryConxintior@hotmail.com.

I'm in agreement that it's a scam. I've had my resume on Career Builder for years and lately all I get are those types of emails. The fact that they don't use the right grammar or English is a dead give away that it's not legit. I don't think I've gotten a legit job offer "from" Career Builder in years. I found another site when I Googled this company and this is what the guy said, "Fraudulent. A LEGITIMATE COMPANY IDENTITY OR AN INDIVIDUAL IDENTITY HAS BEEN STOLEN OR A BOGUS ONE CREATED

I got the same email from an Adena Donovan. I must admit had it not been for my skeptical nature, to check on any email I receive from someone I don't know, I could have fallen victim to this scam too!

I too received a similar offer from this company...I too went to Google this company to find out more about what this company does, as I really wasn't sure I could tell from their own explanation of their operation. I also couldn't understand what I, in my new position, was going to be responsible for. That was when I came across all the complaints posted here.

Kind of caught on early when they used the English pound sign instead of the American dollar sign for the income range. Yours doesn't do that, but mine did.

I received this email today. I first questioned this being an honest ad due to the fact that my name was typed into the subject line with the first letter of my first name in upper case and my last name in all lower cases. Highly unprofessional and suspicious. Next clue... my resume is not posted on Career Builder. (I immediately went to their site to confirm this.) Purchasing/procurement is my career field and it is very sad that there are people out there taking advantage of the unemployed. I am sure that if I respond to this ad, they will respond asking for a finders fee of some sort to be paid in order to get and interview. I am willing to send a response to gather more information to help stop this from happening.
