I had a horrible and disconcerting experience with Travelocity. I don't plan to return either. I called to book two rooms at a resort for our son's birthday. When I found the room we wanted and got ready to pay Travelocity charged me an additional $230 for Extra Guest fees saying that any more than 2 guests in a room would be required an additional fee...

Travelocity waste of time

I really hate Travelocity, this website is absolutely useless. I wasted many hours trying to find good deals, but found only garbage! Their so called sales are absolutely ridiculous! When I contacted their customer service and told them that I would like to book a hotel in New York, they offered me a 20% discount. Then I went to the hotels' webpage and discovered that Travelocity prices are much higher than hotels' prices! So, these people are just stealing peoples money. It is way cheaper to book a room directly through the hotels!

Travelocity poor customer service!

We were 8 people wanting to book a trip. I've decided to book online via Travelocity. When I tried to book for the first time an error screen showed up and said „could not book at this time”. I checked my bank account and it stated that my card was charged. Since I did not receive a payment confirmation email I contacted Travelocity customer service. Their representative barely spoke English so I could not understand a thing he said. Later I received a call from another rep and he said that they never charged my card. I called them liars and argued with them for hours and they finally admitted that they did take my money. I did receive a refund several days later.

Travelocity criminals!!

I have made a reservation using Travelocity on 15.11.2015 for two nights stay. Everything seemed to be fine, but when I arrived I was shocked and confused. I realized that hotel where I booked a room does not exist. I asked people who were living nearby and they told that they don't know anything about the hostel. They said there was no such place at that address in the past or any other sort of accommodation. People told me that I'm not the first one asking. They also said that several months ago a big group of tourists arrived. They also made a reservation and paid for it. So, that night I had to stay on the street in the rain and cold. But I was lucky that day. A nice old lady invited me to her place or the night. She was very kind and even made a dinner for me. Old lady explained that this is not the first time she accommodated guests, who were cheated. Don't use travelocity, they are real criminals.

Travelocity cancellation policy?

We have tried to cancel a reservation that was changed by travelocity after it was booked online by us. So far we have been unable to get a confirmation for the cancellation. Will we ever get one? We are contacting our credit card company to file a dispute. Maybe they won't get paid. We have only spoken to people from India (I will correct that problem for you sir no problem) yeah right!

Travelocity rip off and run arounds

I have used Travelocity for some time...I wish just once people could see this before the rain hits and another scam could be exposed. I booked a room in early Aug. 2015. The room was booked and charged and upon arriving at the place given, there was no vacancy and had been full all day. I found my own room and reported to them upon check in at the new hotel. They have given me the run around for all this time. Once again I was put on hold while they called the hotel. I after some time called the hotel too. The phone was answered in two rings. They were trying to say that the hotel billed Travelocity and I said once again there was no vacancy and that was all. Travelocity billed me and the hotel never billed anyone. I was told a refund has been issued. We will see ...hope you have the same bad business reversed too. Will never use these scammers again.

Travelocity false price advertising

Travelocity falsely shows prices that you can't actually access once you get to booking. When you call customer support to get help, they try to upsell you by saying the last 'deal' was just booked (however the website does not reflect this, even if the last 'deal' was supposedly booked over an hour+ ago.) who is regulating this false advertising?

Travelocity refund problem

Travelocity continues to delay my refund after days of calls and six customer service representatives. Corporate management, Rosa Torrez rude and unprofessional refusing to refund money and lacking integrity. Her manager Marie Hernandez refused to speak to me. This business lacks integrity, professionalism and not mission or customer driven. I keep calling them and they keep telling me they need to check with hotel which they never do or are returning my calls. I have been on the telephone for two days for over one hour each day with an international call. Terrible organization to do business with. Lack of integrity and possible fraud since they do not follow refund policies efficiently. - Roxana Matiella

Travelocity activities

I booked a trip w/Travelocity to New York City, at the end of the trip confirmation is asks you if you want to bundle activities. We planned to see the lion king, so I figured it would be a better deal on the ticket price. The confirmation page indicated all the correct information. It was not until we got to the theater we learned the tickets were for the wrong day. I ended up having to buy another set of tickets, as well as, Travelocity charged me $298 for two tickets, however tickets at the theater were only $198 for two tickets. Not only would travelocity not refund me for the tickets I could not use, they had nothing to say about having charged $50 more per ticket then it costs at the theater window. The add on it not a good deal. Will never use travelocity again, pretty shady practice.

Travelocity hidden charges

Booked my husband trip through Travelocity with Spirit Airlines. I felt it was false advertisement based that when I was checking my husband there was hidden charges. I totally understand the bag charges but Spirit website is not user friendly and when you want to call and speak with customer service, good luck! Travelocity did not have extra sitting fees. Spirit charges to check in and get a seat! Really so what is the flight charge to sit where? Then to check you bag or carry on, extra fees ( got it) but when you want to check in larger luggage you don't have any options. It states on their website checking bags at the airport it's more expensive.
Paid $155 for roundtrip to Denver and extra $106 for seating and 1-bad (roundtrip) and bam at the airport had to pay for his oversize bag an extra $50 (one-way). So at the end of this $155 the grand total we will pay is $351! That is NOT RIGHT! They should be accounted for false advertisement! NEVER, NEVER USING TRAVELOCITY NOR SPIRIT TO FLY!

Travelocity customer service

As I write this I am on hold with Customer Service for Travelocity awaiting the opportunity to speak with a supervisor. My call to customer service was prompted by an advertised price for a flight on the web which changed prices when I went to book it. I thought that was odd so I backed out and searched again. When I did the lower advertised price came up and I attempted to book it again with the same result; the price changed at the end. So I call customer service and get a man on the phone who attempts to look the information up but is having difficulty inputting the information I give him. Ultimately he ends up quoting me a ridiculously low price on a flight to Philadelphia, round trip, for my wife & I and I reiterate the cost of the flight back to him to which he agrees. I repeat all the info back to him including airline, dates of travel, departure time, arrival time and even the name of the airport. At this point if I were to book this flight the cost would have been a couple of hundred dollars cheaper than online, even with the absurd $60.00 charge for having a non-English speaking employee take my booking info over the phone. It is at this point that the gentleman must have realized his error and tells me to give him the return date (AGAIN), to which I do. He then proceeds to tell me that there has just been a price increase on that flight and now the cost is a couple of hundred dollars higher than what I would have paid online. I've had enough at this point and ask to speak to a supervisor and am told the supervisor is busy. I have to repeat my request several times and finally I am put back on hold for another ten minutes until I can speak with the supervisor "Reagan, " who, coincidentally, is also not a native English speaker. "Reagan" informs me that he is the supervisor and as I relate to him what has just transpired and that the employee I spoke with before has been quoting to me some really good deals on flights, "Reagan" simply hangs up on me. To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement. Here's a couple of tips for whomever owns Travelocity: 1. Don't farm out your customer service to people who are incapable of performing their job functions. 2. You might want to look into Six Sigma because you have a serious breakdown in several processes which are costing you a ton of money. Speaking of costing you money...I won't be purchasing through your organization again! Hopefully, this complaint will reach the eyes of others like me and cause them to spend their hard-earned money elsewhere, too. Good Day!

Travelocity outrageous customer service

June 9th: I bought 2 flight tickets on Kayak.com (through Travelocity); the total amount (5, 268.06 AUD) was displayed in my bank account’s “pending transactions” under the heading "SABRE INC KE KOREAN AIR KE SAN ANTO".

June 12th: Travelocity deducted two times 2, 642.71 AUD (under the heading "Usd2484.40 Korean Air [protected]"), plus 79.28 USD "Foreign Currency Conversion Fee". However, the abovementioned 5, 268.06 AUD remained in the pending transactions list until June 17th! This meant that even though I had money on my account, I was unable to access it (since it was less than 5, 268.06 AUD). My available balance was 0 AUD.

June 13th: I called my bank (St. George) and they told me to talk to Travelocity and ask them to send the bank a fax authorizing the bank to delete this pending transaction. My bank said they would delete this pending transaction one hour after receiving the fax. After this I called Travelocity immediately (at around midnight US time). I was put on hold for half an hour; then finally I was put through to an operator. After I explained the situation to her she promised to send the fax within an hour. She read back to me all the details I’d dictated to her and I confirmed she had all the right details.

The next day I checked my bank account and the pending transaction was STILL THERE. I called my bank again and they said they never received a fax from Travelocity. They also said that the pending transaction would automatically be removed after one week, and that until that time there was nothing I could do about this unless Travelocity sent them an authorization fax.
After this I had no success in reaching Travelocity, but to be honest I didn’t see too much point in trying to reach them since they’d failed to send the authorization fax the first time I asked them.

I had to wait until June 17th – that is, FIVE DAYS – until the pending transaction was finally deleted from my account. This meant that I HAD NO ACCESS TO MY OWN MONEY for 5 days!

My question to you is this: how is it possible for Travelocity to take the liberty of locking 5, 268.06 AUD on my account, after you had already deducted the price of the 2 flight tickets? Do you guys at Travelocity think that I have an extra 5, 268.06 on my account AUD that you can freely lock in? Well, since I did NOT have this much extra money, I ended up being unable to access my own money for five full days. And what about my electronic fund transfers? But I don’t know why I suppose you care about this…

I have bought quite a few flight tickets (and other things too) in my life which also involved having a certain amount of money locked in on my account (in “pending transactions”). However, I have NEVER had an experience like this one, namely that the money was STILL locked even after the price of what I’d paid for had already been deducted from my account! I simply cannot believe that a company would take such liberties with its customers! Not to mention the fact that your colleague promised me she would send a fax authorization and then completely failed to do so. Shame on you, Travelocity, for outrageous customer service.

Travelocity incorrect booking date

I booked two airline tickets with one returning one February 1, 2013 and the other to return on February 15, 2013. Both tickets were booked to return on February 1, 2013. Customer service kept telling me that they needed to check the documentation. However, the documentation disapeared, they did not find the recording that was supposed to have been made when the reservations weree made. After many calls speaking to people whose English leaves a lot to be improved upon, they continue to try to charge us an additional $100 to make a change to the error they made. I am recommending to everyone on my FaceBook and friends never to use Travelocity. They're guarantee is a bunch of baloney and means absolutely nothing.

Travelocity poor customer service

I called to request a refund for an upcoming trip due to a medical emergency. The night I called I was informed that the airline would only refund one ticket, but that they were having difficulties reaching the airlines and that I would get a call back in 72 hours. 72 hours pass, no call back, and when I called travelocity they said that a refund wasn't possible at all, only a credit, and I;d have to pay $90+ the rebooking fine per ticket. The explanation for not calling me, they couldn't get through on the phone, even though they had multiple phone numbers to call and my email address. If this is the "service" one receives by using a travel agent - no thank you, not for me.

CUSTOMER SERVICE -
*Other then the fact they've out sourced their call center to a foreign country, the operators who answer are very rude and often find humor in using different voice modifications to use on the customer.
*I was given completely incorrect information; when trying to confirm the info I was given - the Travelocity agent denied even speaking with me!
*When trying to change the date of my flight ticket, instead of being assisted, I was urged to buy a whole new ticket. After about 2 weeks of calling and multiple agents (all of which said they would contact me back and never did) and multiple ticket change price quotes (from $400 change fee to $150 to $50 to finally $30) I was able to alter my flight dates.
It seems the goal of Travelocity is only to make money no matter the consequence to the customer. I will NOT use Travelocity in the future. I will pass on this experience to everyone I come in contact with to prevent them from having to go through the same situation.
I do not make complaints unless treated extremely poorly! Dealing with Travelocity was a horrible experience!

Travelocity wrong reservations

Travelocity is the worst!
Buyer beware, be very aware of everything you do before you pay them a penny! We have spent thousands of dollars on our trip with Travelocity and there was one mistake that we figured they would fix for us. We specifically requested round trip flights from one airport to another, received one of our confirmations and realized that it was not RT, it took us back to the same city but another airport. We are flying out of this airport back home so being at the right location was very important. We have spent many, many hours speaking to all kinds of people and they will only cancel the original tickets and reorder new tickets but the cost is 150% of the original ticket price. They have the worst customer service and I am a manager for a customer service department in California. It is appalling! This was their mistake, their system booked the wrong trip but they refuse to take any responsibility.
I will never do business with them again and to be honest we travel a lot so this is their loss!

I've booked 3 trips with Travelocity thus far. Never had any issues. Perhaps you accidentally clicked "One way" or something when booking your flight. I also had to cancel my reservations once and the customer service were very helpful. Perhaps you just got someone new/unprofessional? Call them again and see if you can get it sorted out.

Travelocity travelocity has charged my credit card $50.00 unauthorized and for not booking any flights for me

Travelocity has charged my credit card $50.00 unauthorized and for not booking any flights for me. They did not honor their lower price guarantee while quoting me fare prices, so I refused to book 3 flights with them. Then the charge on my account credit card showed up unexpectedly. They refused to refund the charge. My credit card company disputed resolution process has ended with these crooks refusing to provide refund also. I did not receive the booking services with them and they made unauthorized $50 charge on my credit card anyway. This is called stealing ! I have cancelled my account with them and can not contact further any more, even though they have refused to stop sending me emails and notifications for keeping my account open. I am scared to death they will continue to charge my credit card that is on file with them unless they are stopped from this type of illegal activities. HELP ! Please !?

Travelocity taken advantage

July 6, 2011

To whom it may concern:
On Friday, June 24, 2011, I made a two night hotel reservations through Travelocity for Quality Inn, Niceville, Florida (Check in June 30. Check out July 2, 2011). The agent took my Visa Debit card #, booking dates, and email address and told me the card would be charged immediately. I was ok with that. When the reservation was complete, the agent asked if she could give me the confirmation number. Because I was driving, I asked if the confirmation could be sent to my email. She stated yes and confirmed my email address. Later Friday evening I checked my email, but Travelocity had sent no confirmation number. I called Travelocity back to notify them that I had not received my confirmation number. The agent I spoke with at that time stated that he did not see a reservation, but still give the confirmation 24 hours to clear. On Monday, June 27, 2011, I decided not to travel during the holidays, so I called Travelocity back to cancel the reservation although I never received an email (I knew the reservation must be canceled within 24 hours). The agent at this time stated she did not see a reservation made under my name. She asked for my email address and card number again to make sure nothing was reserved. She stated nothing was showing up. On Wednesday, June 29, 2011, I called Travelocity again to make sure there was no reservation because I was sure that I would not be traveling to Niceville, Florida on Thursday. The agent this time was a male. He stated there was not a reservation under my name. I clearly asked if our conversation was being recorded (When calling Travelocity the recording states that the conversation is being recorded for quality purposes). He said yes! I asked again for him to repeat that no reservation was made in my name using the card number that I gave the Travelocity agent the first day of contact. He said again no mam. At that time, I was convinced that I would not be charged for a room.
On Tuesday, July 05, 2011, I checked my monthly online bank statement and it displayed a draft posted on July 4, 2011 from Quality Inn, Niceville, Florida. I immediately called Travelocity again and spoke with an agent name Rhonda. She and I talked over fifteen minutes trying to figure out why my account was draft for $115. 54. Rhonda asked me to file a complaint, but I really wanted to talk with a manager. She transferred the call to a manager name Dean. Dean reviewed all my information again, but nothing was solved. He called my bank to confirm what I said was true. He also called the hotel in Niceville, Florida for details. During this time, I was on hold. Dean than switched back to me and stated the manager at the hotel confirmed there was a reservation made and a charge was applied to my card because I never checked in. It sounded as if Dean was not going to solve this very inconvenient matter, so he gave me the hotel manager’s name and phone number to call for myself.
I called Quality Inn hotel manager Berry to get a better understanding as to what may have happen on their end. Berry stated that a reservation was made through a travel agent, but did not have an address nor contact number of the travel agent. He did provide me with a confirmation number that the travel agent sent the hotel during the time the reservation was made. The reservation number is [protected]. I than called Dean back at Travelocity to inform him a reservation was made and a confirmation number was given. Dean asked me to fax or email a receipt showing the draft from my account which I have enclosed in this letter.
I am asking that you please investigate the problem and reimburse me the full the amount drafted from my account. I will also be forwarding a copy of this letter to Consumer Complaints Agency, the National Quality Inn Customer Support, and the Travelocity Complaint Board, the Better Business Bureau, and the Travelocity Headquarters.

Thanks,

LaSonja Graves

Regrettably we chose Travelocity for airline tickets. We have been continually spammed ever since. Checking their UNSUBSCRIBE box does nothing but make all email from everyone disappear until the browser is restarted and then they continue on as nothing happened. Next time I fire up the computer in comes another spam. I wish I had checked the complaint...
