I am due a refund on a prepaid car rental agreement with Traveljigsaw UK (June/July 2009) which they finally agreed to months ago.<br />

However nothing is forthcoming and they are now ignoring my communications in this regard.<br />
<br />
Attached plse two lots of correspondence that will help explain and clarify the situation……..<br />
<br />
My letter dated 17 July 2009 to Alamo Traveljigsaw claiming the refund.<br />
<br />
Their letter dated 18 August 2009 from Alamo Traveljigsaw stating that a cheque is in the “post”.<br />
<br />
This is not right that this badly organized business can get away with this sort of thing.<br />

Dear Sirs, <br />
I have encountered a problem regarding the car hire ref 165047156. I sent an email to your office while still in the UK regarding this matter and have not received a reply. I am reinitiating the correspondence….<br />
I had a “PAID IN FULL” rental, collect Pembroke Docks 23 June 2009 and return 9 July 2009 at Heathrow. <br />
My wife took ill in Wexford Ireland and was hospitalized and I could not collect the car as contracted. <br />
I phoned your 0080044733000 number on the 22 June 2009 at 19h00 and spoke to Tina and informed her of my predicament and that I would need to postpone the collection of the vehicle from Pembroke docks and was reassured by her that’s all’s OK .<br />
When I arrived on the 1st July at Pembroke to collect there was no record of my prepaid Voucher on there system, but with my documentation in hand and my insistence that I have prepaid and that I was entitled to a car they let me have a car after much phone calling by Mark Evans from that office.<br />
I had to pay a one way drop off payment of 34.99GBP and they generated a new contract 47929802 as to provide some form of paper work. <br />
After returning to South Africa I find an Invoice no 900500000947 direct from Alamo demanding a further 215GBP on the new contract.<br />
As I prepaid and informed your office well ahead of my forced plan change I do believe I am due for a refund rather that further payment.<br />
Please sort this out for me as I can not be held responsible for failure to your admin systems.<br />

Having informed Alamo of your dispute regarding your rental charges they have informed me that they did not have details of your pre-paid voucher and have therefore charged you again for the rental days. After providing Alamo with a copy of your voucher they have informed me that this has been applied and a refund of £215.01 has been refunded via cheque. Alamo have also asked us to pass on their apologies for any inconvenience caused in this instance.<br />

My name is lee palm1er, Ref:160821457 booked a car for monday 2nd of aug 10, but was'nt imformed that had to pay 250 pounds deposite towards the car. I did not have enought funds in my account which was a visa eletron card. I was told by one of your male collegue that visa eletron would be ok to take the car out, as long as it swipes with chip and pin which it does. Did imforned him that i will be very late, which he said as long as i get there before 11:00pm its ok. Now phoneing up customer service they said my booking has been cancel. automaticaly takes three days rental fee and two days refund which is unfair. Around 10:00am spoke to a male collegue which needs investigating by manager and give p45 to male collegue. due to: not doing the properly. confuseing me, Did not catch his name wish i did would make things much easyier. Now i would like my refund back in full! please...160 pounds
